Say It Ain’t So, Joe: CBS Reporter Draws Ire Of Biden For Asking Substantive Question

Erickson asked Biden a question on the way out of the room where Biden was meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer: “Mr Biden, the COVID task force said it’s safe for children to be back in class.”

That would be an important and reasonable question. The CDC is not recommending the closure of schools since studies show an exceptionally low risk for such children. There are serious costs to such closures for both children and their parents ranging from the loss of educational advancement, depression, employment problems, and other issues.

Yet, for the public and press corp, the appearance of a reporter asking an actual substantive question of Biden was like watching Big Foot riding the Lock Ness Monster through conference room. The only evidence that it was real and not a mirage was Biden’s swift rebuke.

It is the type of question that you would expect the president-elect to answer when he is holding forth on his plan for dealing with Covid-19. Biden however again attacked Erickson personally for breaking the unwritten rule against substantive questions: “Why are you the only guy that always shouts out questions?”

That question sums up the situation perfectly. We should all want to know why Erickson is the only guy (other than Peter Doocy) who is asking such questions. Most of the media was openly in the bag for Biden during the campaign. The hope however was that, once he was elected, the media would rediscover a modicum of independence and integrity in their approach to Biden. That will not happen so long as Biden can accurately ask why the Erickson is “the only guy” asking questions.

  1. Trump had one network mostly in his corner, Faux News (one or two exceptions: Chris Wallace and the business news guy forgot his name). All the remaining networks openly despised Trump and worked as agents of the DNC. Biden has just the opposite: almost every MSM network is his agent with a few rebel reporter exceptions; Fox may often ask hard Qs, but not exclusively.

Biden acts like a tough guy, but ask him a tough Q: he refuses to answer and instead personally attacks the questioner. Biden is a weak ass, girly POS with hair lugs acting like a tough guy.

  2. Jonathan,
Obviously Giuliani isn’t the least intelligent, most impulsive lawyer around. If there’s nothing to these mountains of incriminating evidence as many believe, what is his motive by creating all this fruckus?

  3. “…But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote;…”

  4. Biden does this because he feels confident that he will get away with it. One can see why he would feel this way, given the media has been behaving towards Joe Biden like the North Korea single propaganda station that fawns over Kim Jong Un.

The Left. It’s what they do.

Did you know the socialist North Korean government has such a stranglehold on the media and education system that most North Koreans don’t even know there are other continents on Earth? They learn what they are allowed to learn. Given the current trend in Leftist control, censorship, and careful curating of what information people are allowed to access through social media and internet search engines, how many years will it take for us to become like North Korea?

  5. Sunday Update:

Chris Christie Says It’s Time For Concession

Meanwhile, Trump’s Legal Team Steps Back From Sidney Powell

On ABC News’s “This Week,” Chris Christie said the president should give up his legal strategy. “Elections have consequences, and we cannot continue to act as if something happened here that didn’t happen,” he said.

“The conduct of the president’s legal team has been a national embarrassment,” Christie added, noting that Trump’s lawyers have made a flurry of fraud allegations but have offered no evidence to back them up in court.

Christie criticized Trump’s lawyers for proffering false conspiracy theories at news conferences and other media appearances.

“They don’t do it in the courtroom,” the 2016 Republican presidential candidate said, suggesting the attorneys are fearful of making baseless arguments under oath before federal judges. “It must mean the evidence doesn’t exist,” Christie said.

Christie said the Republican Party should focus on trying to win Georgia’s two runoff elections Jan. 5 to secure the Senate majority rather than continuing with its unsuccessful legal challenges of the presidential election results. “The rearview mirror should be ripped off,” Christie said.

The president’s legal team was thrown into tumult Sunday when two Trump attorneys — Rudolph W. Giuliani and Jenna Ellis — released a statement abruptly distancing the campaign from a third attorney, Sidney Powell.

Giuliani, Ellis and Powell all appeared together at a news conference last Thursday where they made a range of baseless accusations about the integrity of the election. Powell in particular has been vocal in lobbing some of the most convoluted claims, alleging a conspiracy that involved “communist money,” the late Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez and an algorithm favoring Democrats.

At the beginning of the news conference, Giuliani said that he, Ellis, Powell and other attorneys present were “representing President Trump and we’re representing the Trump campaign.” Ellis introduced the group as “an elite strike force team that is working on behalf of the president and the campaign to make sure that our Constitution is protected.”

But on Sunday, Guiliani and Ellis distanced themselves from Powell.

“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own,” Giuliani and Ellis said in their statement. “She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

Two advisers to Trump, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations, said that the president disliked the coverage Powell was receiving from Tucker Carlson and others, and that several allies had reached out to say she had gone too far. The advisers also said that she fought with Giuliani and others in recent days.

The president believed she was causing more harm than help. “She was too crazy even for the president,” a campaign official said.

Powell did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Edited from: “Chris Christie Calls The Conduct Of Trump’s Legal Team A National Embarassment”

    The Washington Post, 11/22/20

    1. How the Deep State got to Christie? I know that whole BRIDGE things was shady as Hell…

All the people who are speaking out against Trump’s interests leading our Country are people who are either liberals or being controlled somehow by the Rabid Liberal Thrall. It consumes power and free-will.

Trump’s personal attorneys and the attorneys for his campaign have distanced themselves from the attorney who is representing his function
