“Discrimination at the Hands of Their Government”: Another Federal Court Has Halted a Federal Relief Program As Racially Discriminatory

(Official White House Photo/Adam Schultz)

President Joe Biden is facing an embarrassing and growing problem as he continues to declare his focus on ending racial discrimination: another federal court appears close to ruling that his Administration is engaging in raw racial discrimination. Milwaukee District Judge William Griesbach issued a temporary restraining order in Wisconsin halting Biden’s controversial $4 billion race-based federal relief program for farmers.  The awarding of relief based on race immediately raised objections of racial discrimination. The ruling is based on the court’s view that the white farmers challenging the program are likely to prevail.

The order was made in favor of twelve plaintiffs from nine different states who sued the Secretary of Agriculture and the Administrator of the Farm Service Agency to enjoin the Biden Administration from implementing a loan-forgiveness program for farmers and ranchers under Section 1005 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). The program pays up to 120% of direct or guaranteed farm loan balances for Black, American Indian, Hispanic, Asian American or Pacific Islander farmers.

As part of the ARPA, Congress appropriated “such sums as may be necessary” to pay for the cost of loan modifications and payments to “socially disadvantaged” farmers and ranchers. § 1005(a)(1). The term “socially disadvantaged farmer or rancher” is defined under 7 U.S.C. § 2279(a). § 1005(b)(3) as a farmer or rancher who is a member of a “socially disadvantaged group.” § 2279(a)(5).

“Socially disadvantaged group” is then defined as “a group whose members have been subjected to racial or ethnic prejudice because of their identity as members of a group without regard to their individual qualities.” § 2279(a)(6).

The Biden Administration defines “socially disadvantaged farmer or rancher” to include individuals “who are one or more of the following: Black/African American, American Indian, Alaskan native, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, or Pacific Islander.” American Rescue Plan Debt Payments, U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, available at https://www.farmers.gov /americanrescueplan (last visited June 7, 2021).

The lawsuit was previously criticized as baseless or, as NBC reported, part of a “war against equity” by Trump supporters.

The Court found that the program was unambiguously discriminatory since “the only consideration in determining whether a farmer or rancher’s loans should be completely forgiven is the person’s race or national origin.” As such, “Plaintiffs are excluded from the program based on their race and are thus experiencing discrimination at the hands of their government.”

The Court found on the required compelling interest that the Administration failed to state a case:

Here, Defendants lack a compelling interest for the racial classifications. Defendants assert that ‘Congress targeted the debt payments in Section 1005 to the minority groups that it determined had suffered discrimination in the USDA programs and that had been largely left out of recent agricultural funding and pandemic relief.’ Dkt. No. 17 at 17. But Defendants have not established that the loan-forgiveness program targets a specific episode of past or present discrimination. Defendants point to statistical and anecdotal evidence of a history of discrimination within the agricultural industry. Id. at 16–17. But Defendants cannot rely on a ‘generalized assertion that there has been past discrimination in an entire industry’ to establish a compelling interest. J.A. Croson Co., 488 U.S. at 498; see also Parents Involved, 551 U.S. at 731 (plurality opinion) (‘remedying past societal discrimination does not justify race-conscious government action’). Defendants’ evidence of more recent discrimination includes assertions that the vast majority of funding from more recent agriculture subsidies and pandemic relief efforts did not reach minority farmers and statistical disparities. Id. at 17.

Judge Griesbach further rejected the government’s arguments on the narrow tailoring prong:

Defendants have not established that the remedy is narrowly tailored. To do so, the government must show ‘serious, good faith consideration of workable race-neutral alternatives.’ Grutter v. Bollinger, 539 U.S. 306, 339 (2003). Defendants contend that Congress has unsuccessfully implemented race-neutral alternatives for decades, but they have not shown that Congress engaged ‘in a genuine effort to determine whether alternative policies could address the alleged harm’ here. Vitolo, 2021 WL 2172181, at *6. The obvious response to a government agency that claims it continues to discriminate against farmers because of their race or national origin is to direct it to stop: it is not to direct it to intentionally discriminate against others on the basis of their race and national origin.

This is the latest opinion finding that the Biden Administration is engaging in presumptive racial discrimination. As discussed previously, in Texas, Judge Reed O’Connor found that the Biden administration engaged in systemic gender and race discrimination to implement COVID-19 relief for American restaurants.

In Oregon, however, a challenge was rejected over racially dependent benefits. A state COVID-19 program for black businesses, called the Oregon Cares Fund, was challenged by a Mexican-American café owner and others under the Equal Protection Clause. While legislative counsel and some legal experts raised concerns over the constitutionality of the law, a trial court rejected the challenge.

Even if such categories pass constitutional muster, there is the question of selecting groups for favored treatment. In the case of Oregon’s fund, Latino owners were excluded. Under the American Rescue Plan, anyone can qualify for preferential treatment if they claim to be part of a group that has “been subjected to racial or ethnic prejudice or cultural bias within American society.” It is the legislative version of the special graduation held at the University of Portland for “QTBIPOC (LGBTQIA and/or BIPOC).” Once the inclusions were defined, the only major exclusion was straight white males.

These challenges could find a receptive majority on the Supreme Court. In a 2007 case, Chief Justice John Roberts stated that position most succinctly by declaring that the “way to stop discriminating on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.”

Notably, Judge Griesbach rejected the call of the Biden Administration for a limited injunction” “To ensure that Plaintiffs receive complete relief and that similarly-situated nonparties are protected, a universal temporary restraining order in this case is proper.”

  1. This sounds just like Obama’s Pigford slush fund he used to by votes

Obama turned a Judges Ruling in favor of 90 black farmers supposedly being discriminated against in USDA loans, into an almost $2billion slush fund Obama just keeps running the same plays, for the same grift.

  2. Affirmative discrimination under diversity [dogma] (i.e. color judgment), inequity, and exclusion.

  3. Maybe this SHOULD embarrass Biden and those behind these rules, but I am quite sure they will not feel a scintilla of embarrassment. They think they are doing God’s work (without necessarily believing in a God).

    1. The nominally “secular” Pro-Choice, selective, opportunistic, relativistic religion is not God’s behavioral philosophy, perhaps gods, but certainly a conception of men and women who would presume to be mortal gods. From Great Leaps, to one-child, to selective-child, and diversity [dogma] (i.e. color judgment), too, there has been great progress to reestablish the ancient Twilight faith (i.e. conflation of logical domains), religion, and ideological bent that has advocated and overseen hundreds of millions of excess deaths and deprivation of human and civil rights in the last century alone.

  4. *side note from G7 meeting:

‘Remember when media made a big deal about Trudeau gossiping about Trump? Will they ignore this — far more consequential — gossip about the frailty of the American President? (@joelpollak)

Trudeau overheard telling staffers he expects Kamala Harris to be President by the end of 2022 per WH official attending G7 (@jackposobiec)

    1. *Joke note from G7:

Americans won’t stand for the global minimum tax from collectivists.

Just put that on the IRS forms next April and watch what people do.

“We’re raising your taxes to send money overseas to the global collectivists.”

“Oh, and thanks again, Your Loyal IRS.”

That’s gonna go over like a lead balloon.

Thus, brilliantly, the G7 fool us by imposing the global minimum tax on, wait for it, corporations.

Yeah, let’s get those pesky, greedy corporations.

Of course, corporations have no money.

Corporations obtain money from customers (i.e. people).

Ergo, people (i.e. customers) will be paying the global minimum tax and they won’t even know.

Those global communists are really, really smart.

      They sure fooled me.

    2. Joe Biden will run for re election in 2024. Pelosi is in her 80’s. So is Fienstein. Democrats don’t ever step down. They just keep going on and on and on.

      1. Don’t think Joe will make it a full term. Why do you think it is now called the “Biden/Heiress” ticket?

She’s coming whether we like it or not (we don’t).

We *must* turnout what amounts to a bloodbath for Democrats in the midterms.

    3. The G7 trip was disasterous in many ways – Putin pissed all over Biden over BLM essentially telling him to shut up about Russia’s internal affairs when people in his country are rioting and looting. He explicitly told Biden he would not allow that in Russia.

It would be hard for Putin to be more dissmissing of Biden that to say that Biden’s own supporters were bomb throwers and anrachists sewing chaos.

Truedeau is a gossip – sure. But the media only cares if it is about Trump.

This trip went badly for Biden – but you will here little of that in the media – except the claims it was a Trump appilgy tour – that part atleast was correct. Bide was apologizing to the world for four years of ACTUAL world leadership – rather than democratic sniveling.

Biden was apologing for Trump bringing peace and strength.

Since Biden’s election we have seen violence and chaos throughout the world – south american immigrants took Biden at his word – and are coming in droves. So much so that Biden is quietly and not so quietly reverting to Trump immigration policies.

Work on the Wall is resuming. Biden is trying to flip back to “remain in mexico”. Harris is begging immigrants to stay in their countries,
Her speaches to south americans sound almost like Trump – except for one thing.

      No one beleives her.

Trump brought about the Abraham accords.

Biden has brought about rockets at Israel by the thousands and the israeli’s bombing Gaza.

The FBI, DOJ, Democrats, National Guard have been deployed to DC to await a certain armed insurrection which never materialized.
Meanwhile we still have Antifa, BLM sewing chaos and riots periodically in our streets.

And violence of all kinds has risen – but ONLY in democrat controlled (or out of control) cities – where we now have “white flight” – or maybe is it just the departure of anyone who wants their kids to grow up safe.

And the left thinks we need fewer police and more social workers.

  5. The practice of overt racism by our democrat government and their lackeys in the media continues. Their message is clear: “Dear black people, we got this. You are too stupid to make it on merit so we will help level the playing field. PS. keep us in mind come election day brotha’s and sista’s.”

    1. I’ll bet Egypt is ecstatic that the Israelite slaves were out of Egypt before the ink was dry on their release papers.

Egypt hasn’t suffered for millennia, and doesn’t suffer now, a caterwauling, ineffectual and dependent minority which is relentlessly begging for “free stuff,” in all its multitudinous forms, including compulsory free social acceptance, free money, free food, free housing, free matriculation, free grade inflation, free hiring, free mortgage assistance, free healthcare insurance, free immunity from culpability, etc.

The communists (liberals, progressives, socialists, democrats, RINOs) in America have made Karl Marx proud.

No freedom and self-reliance for them; simply class “untouchability,” dependence and entitlement.

      ‘Absolute Necessity’

In his first annual message to Congress on December 3, 1861, President Lincoln proposed that persons liberated by the fighting should be deemed free and

that, in any event, steps be taken for colonizing [them] … at some place, or places, in a climate congenial to them. It might be well to consider, too, whether the free colored people already in the United States could not, so far as individuals may desire, be included in such colonization.

This effort, Lincoln recognized, “may involve the acquiring of territory, and also the appropriation of money beyond that to be expended in the territorial acquisition.” Some form of resettlement, he said, amounts to an “absolute necessity.”49

      – Robert Morgan

Without tilting the playing field through unconstitutional generational welfare, affirmative action, forced busing, unfair “Fair Housing” laws, discriminatory “Non-Discrimination” laws, Obamacare, etc., whatever will Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, the racist NAACP and the legions of race charlatans do for a living?

  6. Oh, my God!

Is there a judge in the house?

Wack him on the head and make him read the Constitution!

Individuals enjoy absolute freedom and absolute free enterprise in parallel with severely limited and restricted self-governance.

    – Congress has the power to tax for ONLY “…general Welfare…,” general meaning all,* consisting of roads, water, electricity, post office, sewer, trash collection, etc., commodities and services used in similar aspect, amount and frequency.

    – Congress has the power to regulate ONLY money, the “flow” of commerce and land and naval Forces.

    – Congress has no power over private property.

    To wit,

Article 1, Section 8, provides Congress the power to tax ONLY for “…general Welfare…,” omitting and, thereby, excluding any power to tax for individual or specific welfare, redistribution of wealth or charity. The same article provides Congress the power to regulate ONLY money, the “flow” of commerce and land and naval Forces. Additionally, the 5th Amendment right to private property is not qualified by the Constitution and is, therefore, absolute, allowing Congress no power to claim or exercise dominion over private property, the sole exception being the full taking of property under the principle of eminent domain.

Government exists, under the Constitution and Bill of Rights, to provide maximal freedom to individuals while it is severely limited and restricted to merely facilitating that maximal freedom of individuals through the provision of security and infrastructure.

The entire communistic American welfare state is unconstitutional including, but not limited to, matriculation affirmative action, employment affirmative action, quotas, welfare, food stamps, rent control, social services, forced busing, minimum wage, utility subsidies, WIC, SNAP, TANF, HAMP, HARP, TARP, HHS, HUD, Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Labor, Energy, Obamacare, Social Security, Social Security Disability, Social Security Supplemental Income, Medicare, Medicaid, “Fair Housing” laws, “Non-Discrimination” laws, etc.

Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto 59 years after the adoption of the Constitution because none of the principles of the Communist Manifesto were in the Constitution. Had the principles of the Communist Manifesto been in the Constitution, Karl Marx would have had no reason to write the Communist Manifesto. The principles of the Communist Manifesto were not in the Constitution then and the principles of the Communist Manifesto are not in the Constitution now.

  7. While white and people of color farmers have been given the short end of the stick for years, trumpian troglodytes seen nothing wrong with the trump bailout of farms that he had a direct hand, with his trade policies. Small farmers need relief no matter what color they are. Biden trying to bring stability to black farms is at least a start. But to a trump supporter Ammon Bundy is a real farmer who lives with the entitlement of not paying his bills because he slings a AR-15 on his shoulder.

    1. I have opposed Bailouts for farmers my entire life. It is irrelevant whether they are driven by democrats or Trump.

Trump’s farm bailouts were unnecescary – as are all the C19 bailouts.

We are increasingly aware that nothing government did to thwart C19 worked. Worse, there was plenty of evidence from the start that it would not work.

Nearly always the correct govenrment response to any problem is to DO NOTHING, Problems take care of themselves.

Regardless, Welfare payments are evil – whether to black farmers, white farmers or poor families.

They destroy the incentives to succeed.

Life is not fair and there is nothing government can do about that – get over it.

With rare exceptions getting kicked in the teeth does not significantly impede the success of those who are going to succeed – regardless of race.

Government can not fix the bad things that happen, but it can make them worse.

      1. Please cite the Constitution wherein “bailouts” may be taxed for.

Of course, bailouts are distinctly NOT “…general Welfare…,” and are, in fact, individual welfare, specific welfare, favor, redistribution of wealth or charity, precisely that which cannot be taxed for.

        1. All arguments are not constitutional.

If you wish to make a constitutional argument against bailouts – go ahead – there are compelling ones.
The contract clause is a good start.

I am making a MORAL argument against bailouts.

They cause more harm then good. They inherently corrupt government

          1. Contract – Schmotract!

Americans enjoy freedom, free enterprise and the right to private property under the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Americans enjoy freedom from governmental interference in their free enterprises.

Here’s a little ditty from one of the guys who wrote it – he might know.

“[Private property is] that dominion which one man claims and exercises over the external things of the world, in exclusion of every other individual.”

            – James Madison

Government has only the power to regulate the “flow” of commerce among the several states.

Government has no authority to control, or otherwise participate in, the operations of private free enterprises.

Government has no authority to control private property, which, by definition, wait for it, is NOT public property.

Government may tax for “…general Welfare…” and send an equivalent check to ALL or “…general…” citizens.

            Morality is moot.

            1. Of course morality is not moot.

The central premise behind the “social contract” – which our constitution rests on is that government is necescary to thwart the use of violence as a means. That government is sometimes necescary to compel people to act as they have agreed. That government is sometimes necescary to compel people to make those they harmed whole.

Each of these is a MORAL construct. They are also the core principles of criminal, contract, and tort law.

Every madison quote you cited is a MORAL proposition, Most every statement you make is a MORAL proposition.

              Morality is inarguably relevant.

The foundations of the constitution – the very principles that you cite and dwell on are all MORAL principles.

When you make statements about the constraints of government there are only 3 possible arguments that make those statements true
              Legal, utilitarian, and moral.

And the first two ultimately devolve to moral.

Why do you quote madison ? Why quote ANYONE ?

We quote people like Madison because what they say has MORAL authority.

Which is a major part of why the left seeks to destroy them – to destroy their MORAL authroity.

    2. Biden trying to bring stability to black farms is at least a start.

Why are Black farms unstable? There lack of ability to harvest a high enough yield…….because of their blackness?

Farming is one of four industries that create wealth. Once the farmer poses the land/livestock they provide purchased inputs add labor, to create wealth. At what stage does blackness become an issue.

      1. Why are farms Biden or governments business AT ALL ?

In the real world – repeated failure is common place.

When attempting to build a better mousetrap – myriads of failed efforts are usually necescary.

It is not the governments job to protect people from failure – not blacks not whites.

In fact protecting us from failure reduces success – it deprives us of learning from failure.

If you want ANYONE to succeed, you must allow them the oportunity to fail and to learn from the consequences of failure.

  8. Discriminating based on race is wrong. It doesn’t matter what the race is.

Why this needs to be explained is beyond me.

    1. Constitutional citation please.

Are you not discriminating by compelling whom individuals accept or reject?

Will you now order whom we marry – are we engaged in discrimination when we choose a wife?

Do you have a constitutional right to order to whom we rent or sell a domicile, whom we matriculate or hire?

Must we, by constitutional mandate, product-place one of a 12% minority in 100% or the scenes on TV and in movies?

Freedom of assembly means freedom of segregation.

Freedom of speech means freedom of thought.

I cannot find a requirement for your approval in the Constitution.

If Americans cannot discriminate, Americans cannot be free, comrade!

The free markets of the private sector allow you to open a charity. Open a church. Commiserate. Give out “free stuff” from your own personal “stash.”

Stop advocating enslavement under your communist dictatorship, comrade.

  9. The racist in Washington now have to face the courts. We saw the courts in action with the last President, but he was honest and transparent. That is not the case with the Biden administration.

    1. The balance of sanity in the courts is tenous at best.

While i expect the courts to torpedo this nonsense for the moment – it would take very little to tip the courts into complete insanity.

  10. A “racist self-hating white” Democrat? Redundant in the extreme.

    1. Is “racism” unconstitutional?

If the Founders and Framers did it, one might conjecture that it is constitutional, understanding that “racism” is falsely, speciously and maliciously conflated with completely unrelated property damage and bodily injury.

      “…free white person,…”

Naturalization Acts of 1790, 1795, 1798 and 1802 (Four Iterations)

United States Congress, “An act to establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization,” March 26, 1790

“Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, That any Alien being a free white person, who shall have resided within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States for the term of two years, may be admitted to become a citizen thereof…”

Vote criteria, as original intent, in America were male, European, 21 50 lbs. Sterling/50 acres.

And, of course, everyone does it naturally, routinely and under his freedoms of speech, thought, religion, belief, opinion and assembly (the immutable inverse being fully constitutional segregation – one enjoys the freedom of segregation if one enjoys the freedom of assembly).

  11. I’m sure all those Black, American Indian, Hispanic, Asian American or Pacific Islander farmers of whom many are likely richer than you are I appreciate being described as ‘disadvantaged’ based on superfluous criteria chosen for them by someone else they’ll never meet. 🙄 Seriously: how many ‘black farmers’ or ‘Chinese farmers’ are there, even? I’d wager the end result would be all sorts of folks claiming the criteria defining ‘farmer’ to get the cash, just as with every other form of welfare (done *this* way, that is what this is).

I know the dems have long been mind blind, but the modern DNC has perfected it into an art form. Ridiculous. Absurd. *fill in your own* ANYONE that *legitimately* requires assistance should have a shot at it.

Nobody but the dems is putting people into tiny little boxes at this point. I guess MLK was just another pawn to them, and naturally millennial activists know better than MLK even though they’ve seldom suffered worse than a tepid Starbucks’s or slow wifi used to read online opinions instead of getting out and actually living and acquiring experiences. Good grief.

      1. Enigma, you are pointing to laws that have been poorly written. Don’t blame Trump. Blame those that passed the laws. If a public corporation were not to use such laws and lose money, the stockholders could sue the corporate managers for mishandling financial matters.

        1. Seth – don’t knock the goats. A lot of people in rural areas keep goats to help with the cost of hay as well as taxes in general. CA keeps jacking up the cost of property taxes, water, electricity, gas, transportation. Hay costs over $26 a bale now, plus taxes. But if you keep livestock like goats, you can get a tax break on buying that hay.

This is also why so many politicians and rock stars have their wineries, or their small farms on property.

Without the farmland program, sure, Trump would pay more taxes, but the land would have been developed. No more open space. It’s getting impossible to maintain horse property in CA, and the East Coast. The property taxes are outrageous. As soon as a long time landowner sells a parcel, the property taxes are assessed so high that you’d have to be rich to buy it. You can’t make any money with a horse business anymore or even break even. Little by little, horse and farmland gets developed until it’s all gone.

This reminds me of when a languishing city provides a tax incentive for a big business to expand there to bring jobs, and then within a couple of years activists start yelling they aren’t paying their fair share.

Taxes are a form of punishment. And everyone wants to reduce that punishment.

          1. “Seth – don’t knock the goats.”

I don’t knock the goats. I think they are great. Taxes on undeveloped land can be way too high. I have used trees and various animals to get a tax deduction, all legal and expected.

My comment was directed to those that blame Trump for correctly following tax law. They are foolish because if they don’t like the laws, they should be complaining to their legislative leaders.

In NYC, they blamed Trump for a tax abatement given to all builders. NYC was in a hole and wasn’t moving. That tax abatement permitted him to refurbish a building. That was the first of many which brought NYC out of the hole. If Trump and some other bold guys didn’t do what they did, NYC would have been wiped off the map.

Too many people know nothing about what they are talking about and sound ridiculous.

        2. s.meyer

Yes. Don’t blame Donald Grifter Trump for being a liar. He truly believes he’s a farmer – whose major crop is taxpayer money funneled to himself and his family.

          1. There is no way to deal with your mindset. You do not believe in following the law. That is what Trump did. Don’t pass so many laws, and then complain. You don’t realize it but your type of rhetoric leads to hate, anarchy and race wars.

      2. I remember the era of claimed Pigford discrimination. Federal agencies were desperate to lend to black farmers and black businessmen and were under pressure from Washington to ‘improve’ their rates of lending.

As usual, standards collapsed and a lot of bad loans were made. They failed. To not get a loan if you were black at that time your creditworthiness and experience and history had to be really terrible., sort of like not being able to get into Harvard these days.

      3. The remedy is to end the discrimination not institute more of it with a ‘tit for tat’.

      4. Enigma:

Please explain why discriminating against innocent people because of their race is ethical.

      5. As for the goats…a lot of people out by me have goats. Why? Because keeping them helps save taxes, plus you can use them for weed abatement, walk them on leashes, create goat obstacle courses, pet them…I digress. So far, I have yet to convince my husband to buy me a couple of goats, though I try every kidding season.

Goats are a well known tax incentive.

There is nothing unethical or immoral in anyone, including Donald Trump, keeping goats on their property for whatever reason they want. They can keep goats because they want to conserve rare heritage breeds, give them to 4H kids, have fresh goat milk, weed abatement, collect all colors, and/or to reduce their property taxes.

This is what everyone does – try to make money, and try to keep as much money they make as possible.

Every tax season, do the tax preparer commercials proclaim that they will help you pay as much as possible or else you’re a bad person? Why, no. They all say they will ensure you don’t pay a dime more than you owe. Tax attorneys, tax accountants, and estate planners all have a fiduciary duty to help you save as much money as possible. If they advise you to keep goats, and you choose to keep goats, then that means you own goats. Period. Nothing else.

Plus, keeping goats means that you pay to buy the kids, doe, or buck, pay for their feed, pay for their veterinary care, though infrequently needed, pay for their enclosures, and pay for their keepers if you don’t care for them yourself. That means that in keeping goats, Donald Trump has employed someone to take care of them.

Honestly, it boggles my mind how Democrats can ask their CPA or tax preparer to save them as much money as possible every April, yet condemn that very behavior as immoral if you make a lot of money. As if after a certain point you should be flinging it out the window.

Compare how many people you employ, directly and through spending, and how many Donald Trump employs, and see who contributes more to the economy, and building roads and bridges, in the United States.

        1. My response was to someone who believed Black people were claiming to be farmers that weren’t. I provided an well known example of a white fake farmer that none of you have a problem with.

          1. Enigma, the reward of fraud is incentive enough for anyone of any race to lie about farming, or to get Covid relief, unfortunately.

Discriminating against innocent white people today does not right any wrongs other people did in the long ago past.

Slavery itself isn’t even a black or white issue. The Barbary pirates were prolific slavers of both Africans and Europeans. In fact, Slav meant slave.

Mauritius did not ban slavery until the 1980s. There are black slave owners, today, in Africa.

I tire of the black people are victims of white people rhetoric. If the US was systemically racist, the Africans, Caribbeans, and the like would not emigrate here by the millions and thrive.

            1. I have no problems with people putting goats on undeveloped land to get a tax break the law offers.

Nor do I care if afterward they call themselves farmers.

As to Covid relief. There never should have been releif. There shoul d have been no lockdowns.

            1. So his golf course was a farm? That’s what you’re going with? The Grand Jury in New York is currently deciding whether he broke their laws. I can wait.

              1. Enigma, Democrats in positions of authority have abused that power to investigate Trump for years, trying to find a crime, any crime. There are people sifting through every transaction just hoping they can nail him on something.

Most people inadvertently break the law from time to time. Tax law is so tortuous that sometimes two investigators for the IRS can’t even agree if a deduction is allowed or not. Eventually, though it may take years of persecution, a zealot activist will get him on something.

If the government was going after you like this, pouring over your every action over your lifetime, looking for any time, you would feel appallingly persecuted. “Show me the man and I’ll tell you the crime.”

You asked about his golf course. I am not a tax attorney, nor have I played one on tv. As I’ve mentioned, a lot of people out by me have goats for the tax write off. They don’t live on farms.

If keeping goats entitles anyone to a tax break in that state, then it doesn’t matter who it is. Don’t forget Pelosi’s winery. She’s not a farmer either.

If over eager Democrats dissolve goat tax breaks just to stick it to Trump, then it’s going to affect the amount of open space, and a lot of people.

I’ve never understood the frantic level of hatred Democrats have for Trump. It doesn’t seem commensurate with the trigger.

                1. I wasn’t the one who brought up the issue of fake farmers. As soon as I point out Trump was one and it’s a brilliant business decision. The truth is, nobody has been able to investigate Trump because they couldn’t get his records. You seem predisposed to ignore any crime that might be found in advance. We know you don’t care about the women he sexually harrassed or the tax fraud involving payoffs to his mistresses.
There are numerous reasons to believe he’s a fraud and a cheat. What are the reasons to worship him? Just curious.

                  1. “The truth is, nobody has been able to investigate Trump because they couldn’t get his records.”

False – Mueller got MILLIONS of Trump records illegally.

“You seem predisposed to ignore any crime that might be found in advance.”
There is a 4th amendment – and I want it back – for Trump, for you, for all.

You may not seize the records of ANYONE without probable cause of a crime AND probable cause that the seizure will lead to evidence of that crime.

Do you have evidence TODAY – before seizing records – that some crime exists that justifies your investigation ?

Can you name a single left investigation of the past 5+ years that met probable cause ?

“We know you don’t care about the women he sexually harrassed”
I care a great deal about that – and I did not vote for him primarly over that.
Nor did I vote for Biden – who has publicly treated women badly and privately worse.

The past decades should provide amble evidence that sexual harrasment has no political constraints.

“the tax fraud involving payoffs to his mistresses.”
                    A claim – not evidence.

I would note that John Edwards paid off his “mistress” with campaign funds and the courts did not find that a crime.

Regardless – do you have evidence that Trump failed to pay required taxes on ANYTHING ?

And in the unlikely event that you find something – Do you have evidence that the failure was CRIMINAL ?

Errors paying taxes are NOT typically crimes.

Most errors and violations of the law are NOT crimes.

Hillary received 65M in campaign contributions in violation of election laws – her campaign was fined.
No one was charged with a crime – because it was not a crime.

Hillary’s basement bathroom email server WAS a crime – yet Comey refused to charge her.

“There are numerous reasons to believe he’s a fraud and a cheat.”
You are free to beleive that – but a criminal investigation REQUIRES evidence of that – not speculation.

“What are the reasons to worship him? Just curious.”

Trump worship is actually increasing. Why ? Because on issue after issue he proves right and the left proves wrong.

Reagan was Teflon – no accusations stuck.

But Trump has proved even more resilient – all accusations inevitably expose his accusers.

Hillary colluded with Russia – not Trump.

Obama initiated a political investigation of a political enemy.

                    HCQ does work.
                    Masks don’t work well.
Lockdowns do not work at all.
                    There were no russian bounties.
Putin did not want Trump elected – either in 2016 or 2020.

Hunter Biden and the entire Biden clan have personally profited by selling access to Joe Biden.

                    And on and on.

Every attack on Trump has exposed the misconduct of the left.

No one is right accidentally that often.

Abraham Lincoln’s response when told of the many personal faults of General Ulysses S. Grant, that he was coarse, bullheaded, reckless and a drunkard to boot. Lincoln sucked a tooth and replied, “I can’t spare this man. He fights.”

Trump supporters tend to feel the same.

                    Like Grant he also wins.

                2. The tax break issue and the stick it to Trump issue are independent.

Tax law is what it is. If we do not like it – we change it.

I do not like it one bit. But there is no real hope of getting either democrats or republicans to do what most people want – simple taxes, no special preferences, and the same rates for everyone.

With respect to Trump – you are not only correct – but what you describe is itself criminal.

                  The constitution forbids targeting people.

We investigate CRIMES. Absent probable cause that a crime was committed – there can be no government investigation of a private person.

Conversely the entirety of the acts of those in government is subject to scritiny – that includes the Vice president threatening foreign powers if he does not get his way.

I would note that Biden suspended a number of sanctions against Russia – before the G7 summit.

Yet we have psent the past 4 years listening to Russia, Russia Russia!!!!

              2. “So his golf course was a farm?”

This is not about golf courses or farms.

It is about the legal requirements to qualify for the tax reduction.

Raising animals on undeveloped land. Qualifies.

The pictures of goats purportedly at the Trump golf course – are not on greens and fairways – they are off in fields – undeveloped land.

If you do not like the law – change it.

I would prefer no tax breaks at all on anything – and no business taxes AT ALL.

Tax money when it becomes actual income to a person. Then tax it at a flat rate that is the same for everyone and all circumstances.

“That’s what you’re going with? The Grand Jury in New York is currently deciding whether he broke their laws. I can wait.”

There should be no grand jury – there is no issue here. There is no justification for a criminal investigation.

There does not appear to be enought to challenge Trump’s tax return.

There are myriads of “celebrity farmers” – are you prosecuting all of those ?

What is your critieria to distinguish who gets the tax break and who does not ?

In this case there were REAL goats being raised on REAL undeveloped land.

There is no “worthiness” criteria in the law.

We can not give tax breaks only to democrats.

The left pushes this type of nonsense all the time.

There is nothing that Manafort did that Hunter Biden did not do ten times worse.

If Manafort is guilty of anything (he is not) then Hunter is too.

Aside from the gun charges and being a jerk – Hunter Biden is not guilty of anything.

Getting paid by foreigners to try to influence the US is not a crime.

The Crime is Joe Biden selling his office for the personal benefit of his family.

Regardless ONE standard for ALL. Democrats, republicans alike.

          2. You have a problem with people who pay only the taxes that they owe – based on the laws that you wrote ?

If congress allows me to pay less taxes by putting some goats on my property – then I may choose to do so.

I do not care if you are black or white. I do not care if you claim to be a farmer because you grow petunia’s on your window sill.

I do care when GOVERNMENT discriminates for or against people on the basis of race.

You can not discriminate for one group without discriminating against others.

            1. ” based on the laws that you wrote ?”
Do you want to think that through? I didn’t write those laws nor did you. Rich white people started writing laws in the beginning of this nation and never loosened their grip. If you had a group photo of the millionaires and billionaires that paid no taxes, what do you think they would look like? All I disputed is that Trump’s golf courses were farms. Are they farms? You’re stooopid.

              1. Enigma, you do realize that Obama was black? Do you realize he served two terms? Do you realize that some believe Biden is Obama’s third term? Of course, I get what you are saying, and I am pis-sed off because we have never had an Eskimo as President… and yet you are the one to complain.

I was looking for that photo you mentioned, Enigma, so I could see the millionaires and billionaires that pay no taxes. I couldn’t find the photo, but I found a headline from the Washington Post. -A record number of U.S. billionaires are immigrants-. The article goes on to say: “A friend of mine whose family emigrated from Argentina to the United States when he was a kid recently told me he could never have built his small business back home because he wasn’t born to the right class. No one in the United States cares about his background, he said. They cared about what he could do.:

As an aside, is a person white if he comes from Argentina?

“because he wasn’t born to the right class.”

Hmmm. He got ahead because of meritocracy, not class or color. Maybe instead of fighting the Civil War all over, again and again, you should be fighting for better schools and less killing or minority youth. Do you think you can figure out a better way to do that? Should we put more minorities unequipped due to a lousy school system into Harvard and Yale to study ethnic studies rather than STEM? We need a few on the liberal arts side, but that means most end up having no degree to help them move up the socio-economic ladder. STEM would bring in a better job and likely lead to better schools for their children.

Are you not interested in better jobs and schools with advancement based on merit? I’m trying to figure out what Enigma is trying to do? Is he trying to promote the advancement of minorities and the poor into mainstream America, or is he trying to advance a broken ideology? You aren’t trying to make everyone equal by capping the abilities of those who advance society and technology forward, are you? Are you trying to create the 1865 era into 1984?

              2. “” based on the laws that you wrote ?”
Do you want to think that through? I didn’t write those laws nor did you. ”

You are the proponent of democracy – the most vile and opproessive of govenrment forms.
You are the proponent of unrestricted use of force by government against individual liberty.
You are the proponent of the use of force without compelling justification.

Yes, ? I do blame you for the laws that are written as a consequence of your stupid values.

“Rich white people started writing laws in the beginning of this nation and never loosened their grip.”

Are you even slightly surprised that what power you give government will inevitably be rented by special interests.

Should you successfully thwart the coopting of government power by rich white people – some other interest will step in inevitably.

                Power corrupts.
                Lord Acton.

“If you had a group photo of the millionaires and billionaires that paid no taxes, what do you think they would look like?”

Who cares ? The top 10% of tax payers by income pay 73% of all taxes.

If some small portion of those pay no taxes – what is it to you ? 90% of americans pay little of no taxes, 20% pay no taxes – but collect benefits – and these are not a handful of rich white guys.

“All I disputed is that Trump’s golf courses were farms. Are they farms? You’re stooopid.”

Really ? Like a typical leftist you want to play word games over everything.

Undeveloped land where goats are raised – sure sounds like a farm to me.

Regardless, what does it matter ? Why do you care ?

If Trump put goats on undeveloped land – to reduce his property taxes – great.
If he put them there to keep the place from turning into a jungle – great.
If he put them their to produce goat milk – great.
If he just likes goats – great.

What business is it of yours ?

You left wing nuts claim that we can all self identify as we please.

                If I can call myself a woman if I please – why can’t I call myself a farmer ?

I do not care what you call yourself – male, female, furby, farmer.

                Why do you care ?

        2. Karen,
“So far, I have yet to convince my husband to buy me a couple of goats”

You have horses, though. Horses need a buddy, I hear, to help keep them calm. Maybe that’s just racehorses, but the argument is worth a shot! 🙂 Good luck!

          1. Funny you should say that, but years ago I owned an ex-racehorse who loved small animals. He made friends with a barn cat. I found out he used to have his own pet goat at the track.

      6. Enigma

Many people have suffered discrimination at the hands of government agencies – not just blacks.

The answer is obvious – stop discrimination, don’t create more discrimination.

Two wrongs just lead to everyone feeling aggrieved- that leads to an angry electorate which is exactly what politicians want.

        Don’t play their game.

      7. enigmainblackcom – The fact that so many (most) of the customers here support Trump – would seem to be enough to baffle the curious . But remember, plenty of Americans supported Hitler. Henry Ford,
the Bush family (provided banking services – until the the U.S. gov’t charged them with “trading with the enemy”., and many others. It’s one thing for the rich to support fascism, but most of JT’s readers aren’t wealthy, so it’s hard to understand their support for the Trump crime family.

        1. What nonsense – Opposing the stupidity of the left is NOT supporting Trump.

Nor is supporting Trump’s policies when they are right and legal a bar to opposing the left when they are neither.

I entirely oppose government welfare to farmers or ANYONE.

It does not make anything better. It makes things worse and it is corrupting.

Black farmers, white farmers – it does not matter.

Small farmers, big farmers – it does not matter.

          Life is not fair.
          Get over it.

          All bailouts are wrong.

          1. Do you really think Joe Biden gives a damn about anyone other than his own family getting filthy rich off his public office? If you do, you are a fool.

            1. I doubt he even cares about that anymore.

What democrats have done to Biden is digusting

He should be at home retired enjoying what little is left of his life and his mind.

Instead everyone on the left has their hands up his ass and is moving his lips.

          2. Contrary to what you think, Trump does give a damn, which is why he expanded the Republican base of voters to include more blacks, hispanics, and blue collar Democrats who walked away from their party.

Joe Biden did not get 81 million legit votes cast by real people. No one believes he did. Not even Joe.

              1. Talk about convincing; how many on the left without knowledge convinced themselves that HCQ was bad when there was little existing as an alternative? Whether HCQ proves to be efficacious or not remains to be seen, but the left, whose hatred of Trump was so great that his mention of a potential drug to save lives, caused the left to completely destroy the use of that drug or even its appropriate investigation.

The party of denial is the Democrat Party.

“2. Growing evidence hydroxychloroquine may be effective COVID-19 treatment: Trump had suggested as much early on in the pandemic last year, but his remarks were followed by widespread scientific and media ridicule, with numerous medical officials claiming that HCQ offered no benefit to those suffering from the coronavirus.

Despite the prevailing stance within the federal public health establishment, several studies over the past year have suggested at least some benefit to HCQ treatment, particularly when administered in an outpatient setting. One recent study (which has not yet undergone peer review) found sharply higher survival rates for patients on elevated HCQ regimens.
Harvey Risch, a professor of epidemiology at Yale University who for the past year has publicly advocated for increased use of HCQ to fight COVID-19, said the data in the most recent study was “good,” though he noted it was “tentative.”

“The main evidence for HCQ is in outpatient treatment and in prevention,” he said. “Nine studies have examined outpatient treatment. All show benefit.”

HCQ does not appear to a magic bullet to cure COVID-19, though Trump himself acknowledged as much last April in touting the drug as simply “a great thing to try just based on what I know.”

Yet even the mixed return on HCQ trials has acted as an effective vindication for Trump, particularly in light of the dire warnings that experts and press outlets issued after his endorsement of the drug. “

                Full article at JTN

                  1. Enigma, the subject is that the left lies, and it lies a lot. That is why the federal court stopped Biden from his discriminatory practices. You gulped down a lot of the leftist Kool-Aid. Please read the article posted earlier for some of the stuff you might have swallowed and now have to recognize it was wrong.

HCQ is a good example. I don’t know if it works or not, but it was a better guess at the time than many others. The left didn’t like who mentioned it, so the left shut it down though it was used n other countries and now research that has been hidden along with new research show it might have helped. Do you wish to keep your eyes closed while people die?

Remember how the left shut down the Covid lab leak stories. Presently they have released some of Fauci’s emails where the important stuff about the excellent possibility of a lab leak is blacked out and now under investigation. The left shut that theory down, but now it looks like that theory is the best we have, and leftist actors like Fauci may have had some involvement.

                    Here is some more information.

“1. Lab-leak reversal: Trump had been an early promoter of the possibility that the SARS-Cov-2 virus escaped from a Chinese virology lab, but the hypothesis received widespread backlash from members of the press and scientific community, with Trump being accused of spreading a racist conspiracy theory.

Only over the last few months have more and more government, media and scientific officials signaled an interest in mounting a thorough investigation into the lab-leak theory. Trump himself has touted the newfound interest in the lab as a confirmation of his earlier claims.

“We were right about the China Virus from the beginning, and now the entire world sees it,” he said this week.”

                    1. There is an article by Thomas Frank – about as far left as you can go, regarding the fallout from the lies about the origens of corona.

Frank makes a few errors – but he is correct – this is a monumental screw up that undermines our instutitions – government, science, the media.

He touches on the fact that – these institutions did this to themselves.

His big error – is that it is unlikely the lab leak hypothesis will ever be proven – though the currenct state of the evidence is 1000 times greater than that of Chauvin’s guilt.

While proof of the origens of C19 may never emerge – it is a FACT that the left, the media, public health LIED to us.
That the covered up even the possibility of a “lab leak” – that the covered their asses.

The lies and coverup alone seriously damage the credibility of those institutions – regardless of the truth that we may or may not ever know.

                    2. I would note that HCQ, Invermectin, Masks, lockdowns, etc are ALL failures of our institutions – the left, media, democrats, science, public health.

Why weren;t people free to take HCQ ? Invarmectin ?

Both are among the safest drugs made. They are cheap, in most of the world they are OTC, they are safer than aspirin.

Why was the government involved AT ALL in these ?

If people sought to take HCQ or invarmectin – why not ?

Billions of doses of each are safely taken every year.

Does it even matter if they were effective ?

Myriads of other claims were made that “scientists” fought – Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, many I can not remember.
Many people took many of these – because government had no control of them.

Lets assume that HCQ, Invarmectin VD. VC, Zinc are inneffective.
They are also rarely if ever harmful. And in most cases taking them is beneficial – even if they have no effect on C19.

But the actual data is that”

Normal Vitamin D levels are almost as effective at preventing C19 as the vaccine – and far safer.
That VD use reduces the severity of C19 dramatically if you get it.

That VD is one of the most effective actual treatments for C19 – though not OTC VD if you already have C19 as OTC C19 takes weeks to build up to normal in your body.

It also appears that MMR boosters are about 77% effective in preventing C19 – that is better than the flu vaccine and safer than the C19 vaccines.

Other treatments – like HCQ, Invarmectin etc – are less effective – but not ineffective.

Low doses of HCQ are many times more effctive than masks at preventing infection.

Both Invarmectin and HCQ significantly reduce the severity of C19 as well as the death rate.

They are LESS effective than Vitamin D, but more effective than Remedsivir and probably monoclonal antibodies.

None of these are silver bullets.

But every single one should have been readily available to people if they wanted them.

                  2. EIB – most of us would be ecstatic – if those of you on the left would stick to a subject.

But your “arguments” are just nested fallacies – mostly ad hominem.

So the debat is nearly always turned from you – from the topic – to attacks on personalities.

                1. There are hundreds of studies demonstrating the benefits and safety of HCQ – both as a treatment and as a propholactic.

It is not a miracle cure – but it reduces the death rate and taking propholactically it reduces your odds of getting C19.

This was all known sufficiently early on that it should have been available for widespread use.

HCQ is one of the WHO’s top 100 drugs – it is safe, cheap, and readily available.
With minimal screening it is suitable for 999 of 1000 people.

It meets the hypocratic oath – first do no harm.

It appears to be more effective than remedsivir.

But it was killed by Trump hatred – whatever Trump says – according to the media and left must be wrong.

The pandemic has been a disaster for the left.

Even Thomas Frank noted that the significance of the return of the Wuhan lab hypothesis is a POLITICAL Sea Change.

It is about MORE than where the virus came from – it is about the abject failure of our public health, science, and government institutions.

Even if it is never proven that Covid came from the Wuhan institute of Virology – it is STILL true that public health officials, scientists, government, democrats, and the media LIED to us all.

It also makes obvious that much of science – is NOT science – it is religion, it is politics.

Government, science, the media, democrats, public health were not seeing to help us, they were seeking to control us, and to hide their own misconduct.

Why do many in this country beleive Trump – beleive the election was stolen ?

Because on issue after issue – Trump has been right and government, the left, the media, the experts have been wrong.

Our institutions have burned their own credibility – and enhanced Trump’s.

Trump was right about political spying, the vaccine, collusion delusion, the mideast, China, Covid, HCQ, the vaccine, and on and on and on.

And the left, the media, democrats were WRONG about all of these – and more.

Why should they be beleived about the election ?

Why should those who have been wrong about everything else be beleived and those who have been right about everything else be disbeleived ?

                  1. John, HCQ wasn’t the only medication. Ivermectin (IVM) is another safe potential early treatment. IVM has a history of safety, but it is off patent and doesn’t earn big bucks.

I was speaking to the Bug earlier trying to expand his view from the pure political realm to the economic. I don’t know that he has any interest.

Pfizer is being given about $3 Billion to create a drug to use as early treatment for Covid. It will be patented and bring in big profits. It is in Pfizer’s interests to prevent non-patented inexpensive drugs flooding the market so one has to think of the economic reasons why certain drugs might be kept from the public eye.

                    1. “John, HCQ wasn’t the only medication.”

All this is just evidence that none of this is governments business.

EIB ranted about rich people paying no taxes – why is that a surprise ?

ANY power you give government WILL be leveraged by some special interest.
Thwart one special interest – and another will replace it.

                      Power corrupts – Period.

I used HCQ as an example as i am much more familiar with it.

There are now nearly 200 studies that demonstrate its effectiveness.

IT is not a miracle cure. But it is actually better than all other big pharma treatments – including monoclonal antibodies and remedsivir.

I do not know the results regarding IVM – I have heard they are very good.

Honestly – I do not care.

I do not care if IVM improperly used kills people.

It is NOT governments business to control.

                      Nor am I anti-big pharma.

                      I am just anti-leveraging government.

If drug companies can develop drugs more effective than HCQ and IVM – great – do it.

But they are not free – on their own or through government to thwart alternatives – competitors.

The left constantly rants about the power and influence of big business.

But it is the regulatory state of the left wing that creates all their power and influence.

              2. Do you have an argument ?

Why do you presume something is sad ?

Why do you presume that any persuasion beyond the facts was necescary ?

“I guess anonymous people can say anything.”

Anyone can say whatever they wish.

But an anonymous poster does not lose credibility when they post idiocy.

That is why they start with no credibility to begin with.

            1. I do not know what I beleive about the election totals – except that Democrats would have been obliterated in any normal election.

And that the 2020 election was conducted completely lawlessly and that lawlessness threatens chaos and anarchy.

The worst part of the 2020 election was not the lawlessness of the states – it was the failure of the courts to require lawful conduct.

A perfect example of this was the recent ObamaCare decision – PPACA is unconstitutional – it has been from the start, But it is now unconstitutional even by the origial SCITUS decisions.

But Breyer and 6 other members of the court once again “saved it” – not by finding it constitutional, but by finding that the plantifs in the case had not proven harm. This is a ludicrously stupid decision. It essentially claims that congress need not follow the constitution ever.

Even the argument that there is no harm is idiocy – PPACA must be paid for – that is HARM.

When our courts go lawless – the only means left to restore the rule of law is violence.

        2. Bill, are you saying Nazi sympathies and ties such as those significant ones held by Joe Kennedy Sr.?

I am not completely comfortable with the Bush family, so I’m not particularly eager to take a strong position on their side. Prescott Bush was a director of a bank (1 of 7) controlled by the Thyssen family. Thyssen initially supported Hitler feeling the Nazis were better than the communists. Bush was uninvolved in that effort. The shares of the bank were held by others. Bush had only one share (probably needed to hold as a director)

Thyssen, in 1938 split from the Nazis in part because of the persecution of Jews and fled. He was arrested by the Nazis and jailed from 1941 to the end of the war.

Compare that to Joe Kennedy, who was an open anti-Semite and supporter of the Nazi regime. Ask the British what they thought of Joe Kennedy Sr.

You have a lot of misinformation.

      8. I do not recall Trump declaring himself a Farmer.

But politicians say the strangest things.

Is there a reason that I must vocally and publicly object to every inconsequential misrepresentation of those YOU hate ?

Regardless, I oppose ALL welfare – whether to white or black farmers.

Govenrment can not help but botch this.

You can not repair past harms.

Should we re-adjudicate Cain vs. Able ?

        1. You may never hear him say it. He just claimed it on his taxes.
“You can not repair past harms.”
So the beneficiaries should perpetually benefit and the harmed continue to be harmed? Something for you to think about. For over twenty years Black people couldn’t get VA loans as part of the G.I. Bill and for an overlapping thirty years also couldn’t get FHA loans due to redlining that the government invented. Poor white people became part of the middle-class and established generational wealth through housing. Black people got an income and wealth differential and paid more for services like insurance because of the neighborhoods they were forced to live in. Black people were harmed by the government. Does the government bear any responsibility for trying to address the problem they helped create?

          1. enigma……As I recall, you were privileged enough to attend a PRIVATE High School.
Whitey Cindy (me) attended a public High School, and although it was a wonderful school, most of the students were very wealthy.
I was from a family that was no where near wealthy.. Most of my clothes were faded and or hand-me-downs. I felt very conspicuous and had a serious lack of confidence because I looked different. It even affected my grades.
So, go peddle your whiney “woe is my race” diatribe elsewhere. You know nothing about people from other cultures..

            1. People are not equal.

I have had advantages in my life because I am white, and male. But I have also had a slew of disadvantages and problems.

I am happy. But I would not wish the worst parts of my life on others.

regardless, it is nonsense to beleive that race and gender of much consequence with respect to life outcomes.

          2. Enigma, The WaPo article says “Trump continues a long tradition of famous and wealthy property owners who have benefited from the farmland assessment program.”

It does not say it is illegal and the article is more than 5 years old so it isn’t secret. I have a friend who does something similar with his estate north of La Jolla. The intention is to keep some land from being overdeveloped and it works.

I bet you do your taxes lawfully but without choosing the most expensive arrangement when you have lawful ways of reducing your taxes. Why should you care if somebody else does the same?

            1. I expect that each person will take advantage of the most tax breaks they can legally.

Whether those breaks should exist or not.

Should Trump get a tax break for goats ? Nope.

Nor should farmers – black or white, male or female.

              Flat taxes, no deductions.

          3. Nowhere in the article you linked does Trump say “I am a farmer”

Maybe he has at some point. I do not much care.

But what your article does PROVE is that the NJ Tax law granted people tax breaks for having goats, and so many people – including Trump got goats.

Amazing – govenrment creates an incentive – and many people do as that incentive seeks.

And you left wing nuts wonder why Biden can not get unemployment to decline – why would people go back to work – when they can make more on unemployment through September ?

Your post was an effort to poke fun at the hypocracy of the right – and particularly that of Trump.

But all you succeeded in doing is pointing out the hypocracy of the left.

I do not know if NJ’s laws intentionally or unintentionally incentivized people like Trump to raise goats, but intentional or not, it was tricially foreseable.

          4. “They feel Trump suppports them (though he doesn’t give a damn). He only cares about himself and some of his family.”

Now you purportedly have the ability to telepathically read the emotions of millions of people.

Those who support Trump do so with their eyes opened.

In 2016 – they did so because of his promises.

Today they do so KNOWING the extent to which he will deliver.

The same can be said of those on the left.

            With one critical difference.

Democrats do Not deliver what they promise.

Trump to a very large extent did.

What democrats do deliver does not WORK are promised.

What Trump delivered mostly DID work as promised.

            Trump is far from perfect.

But democrats and the left are abject failures.

We all really hope for a strong recovery right now.

Biden inherited circumstances that very nearly guaranteed rapidly rising standard of living in 2021.

We all really hope that will happen. We have every reason in the world to expect that.

And yet so far Biden has botched what should be easy – much as Obama did in 2009 – though Biden seems to be doing far worse.

Biden inherited an economy spring loaded for rapid growth.

And yet he has already seriously botched the start. Inflation is here NOW – it was not supposed to arrive for atleast 9 months.

Employment is NOT rising rapidly – we were supposed to ALREADY have a 20% drop in unemployment. We have only had a few tenths of a percent – if any. Growth should be near double digits, It is barely reading better than during Obama.

Only the left could botch a sure thing.

  12. Joe Biden and his handlers are ignorant racists through and through. They are using racial tropes and policy to gain power. Joe and his son have been racists for decades and the Press is hiding his sins for the far leftists handlers they work for. How dumb can every day Democrats be to have voted for this?

    1. Highly…”How dumb can every day Democrats be to have voted for this?”

I think a lot of them are asking themselves that now.

      1. More distrurbing is that some are NOT.

More disturbing still is that Biden and his handlers ARE reversing on SOME of their stupidity.

On several issues Biden has rejected Trump policies only to slowly return to them.

But most on the left have NOT learned from Biden’s failures.

No matter how bad things get the left will still refuse to contemplate the obvious – that THEIR policies caused the problem.

  13. For all the times the left screamed discrimination on the part of conservatives, all I can say is “sauce for the goose…”

  14. Of course it is illegal. This is one part of a genuine and gigantic structural racism that everyone pretends does not exist because it favors blacks.

There should be an investigation of the Pigford Settlement ad well. It appears to be collusive and fraudulent.

  15. this was a no-brainer. Hope they appeal the lower court decision in Oregon as well.

  16. Lefties continue breaking the law in order to give our money to their favored ethnic groups.

No consideration is given to the anger that discriminated against groups feel since they consist primarily of straight white men.

Lefties are determined to make a racially segregated society with them picking the winners and losers.

When we read the responses of the Lefties on this blog, it is obvious that they aren’t interested in fairness or the American way.

We can’t convince them, so we need to stop this madness at the ballot box in 2022.

    1. If we can! If it’s a repeat of the collusion we saw in 2020, people had better be pretty dang awake as opposed to woke (which is actually a form of being asleep. Can’t have people thinking too hard about anything! 😉)

  17. Will Roberts hold true to his earlier, sage and correct, pronouncement in the 2007 case? He’s such a wildcard.

    1. Roberts has shown before that he is willing to change his opinion when he needs to appease the left, or when his vote actually matters.

  18. I agree with the court. This plan is like reparations. What if great grandpa was a free black man before the civil war yet he owned black slaves? Yes. That happened. His ancestors get reparations? They should pay.

  19. Impeachment is necessary in order to stop all those unconstitutional policies of this new administration. It’s a disgrace to our democracy that this president is so incompetent and out of touch with reality. People believe he is not suited to represent the people. Him and his VP need to be both impeached before more damage is done. The border crisis alone is enough to start impeachment proceedings.

    1. Third in line of succession is the Speaker of the House — be careful what you wish for…

    2. Errrrrr….Impeach both the President and Vice-President……whoa,slow down, think about that for a moment.

Not until 2022 and the Republicans win majorities in both the House and Senate and we see Pelosi removed as Speaker.

The image of her in the Oval Office is something that should keep that thought of dual Impeachments far from any consideration.

    3. The first line of defense is the judicial branch which has been and is derelict, grossly negligent and treasonous, acting as a 2nd legislative branch.

Draw and Quarter the defectors with extreme prejudice.
