Legal Pundits and the Washington Post Line Up To Mock Durham’s “Zombie Investigation” in Stark Contrast to The Same Mueller Charges

In Washington, there is no greater indication of wrongdoing than the number of people denouncing efforts to investigate it. The “nothing to see here” crowd went into hyperventilation this week when Special Counsel John Durham indicted a former Clinton campaign lawyer, Michael Sussmann. Legal experts who spent years validating every possible criminal charge against Trump and his associates are now insisting that Durham needs to end his investigation. The Washington Post heaped ridicule on Durham despite an indictment detailing an effort to hide the connection to the Clinton campaign and a concerted effort to push false Russian collusion claims.

Keep in mind that Durham was ordered to investigate the origins of the Russian investigation, including claims that those origins were unlawfully concealed or knowingly false. The Sussmann indictment involves both issues after he allegedly pushed a false allegation of collusion and then hid the fact that he was working for the Clinton campaign.

I have been writing about the expected push back to end the investigation of John Durham and particularly oppose the release of his report. Right on cue, the Post responded with a bizarre editorial from the Washington Post that suggested that Durham should just stop immediately.

Durham has been praised as an apolitical career prosecutor by both Democrats and Republicans. Nevertheless, Democrats have long denounced the investigation, even as they demanded full support for Mueller’s investigation into the claims.

It is the methodical reputation of Durham that makes him so dangerous. He is known for dogged pursuit of wrongdoing without political or personal bias. I have referred to his investigation as an “eephus,” a slow pitch, due to the impact of the pandemic and his decision not to move publicly before the election.

Ironically, before the election, Democrats demanded that Durham slow down or stop any action. Mueller top aide, Andrew Weissmann, even called on prosecutors and investigators to refuse to assist Durham before the election.  In reality, Durham decided that he would not act before the election even though it further delayed his investigation.  Now the Washington Post and others are chastising him for waiting so long.

Take Randall Eliason who is quoted by the Post in another piece as dismissing such an indictment as “all Durham’s got” and adding “there are a lot of cases that could be brought but aren’t because they are so trivial.” During the Trump Administration, Eliason pushed legal interpretations barred by Supreme Court case law  and offered strikingly different takes on Mueller’s work. When Mueller brought unrelated charges, Eliason assured Post readers that Mueller was clearly establishing the long-sought Russian collusion claims — which he ultimately failed to do. Nevertheless, Eliason told people to be patient and not get concerned with the “side show” of the indictments because Mueller was finally proving Russian collusion.

For its part, the Post editors ran a mocking editorial entitled “John Durham’s zombie Russia investigation produces an iffy indictment. Is this all there is?”  The editorial focused on the fact that Sussmann is charged with just one count of lying to federal investigators under 18 U.S.C. 1001. That provision is the classic charge for Washington scandals. It is rarely the original scandal but the cover up that gets people into trouble in Washington. What makes the indictment so significant is not the charge but the narrative — the very point that Mueller supporters noted when he brought the same charge against Trump figures.

However, the editors only refer to Sussmann allegedly lying to conceal his “associations.” It does not discuss the details of how he allegedly lied to conceal the role of the Clinton campaign in spreading these false rumors and getting FBI insiders to push for an investigation. Another partner of Sussmann at the firm of Perkins Coie was accused by the media of lying to conceal the Clinton campaign’s funding of the Steele dossier.

Even by D.C. standards, the contrast is astonishing. In 2018, the Post slapped back on those who were demanding that Mueller wrap up his investigation and questioning the lack of charges linked to the original Russian collusion allegations.  (Ultimately Mueller found no proof of such collusion). At the time, the Post demanded that we “should make clear that he will be given such time as he needs to complete his investigation.”

Now in 2021, the Post is mocking Durham for taking so long despite earlier demands that he slow down for the election. The Post states conclusorily that this is not as serious as the charge against Michael Flynn because Flynn lied about his connections to the Russians which was central to the Mueller investigation. It then states that “the consequences of Mr. Sussmann’s alleged lie are minimal by comparison.” The Post ignores that, just as Mueller was looking into the Russian connections, Durham is looking into the origins of the false allegations of Russian collusion. Sussmann is accused of hiding those connections in the very same way with the very same charge as Flynn.

The Post was not so skeptical or mocking in heralding similar charges against figures like attorney Alex van der Zwaan and adviser George Papadopoulos.  They also were charged with single counts under 18 U.S.C. 1001.

I questioned many of the false statement charges brought by Mueller as unrelated to Russian collusion or, in the case of Flynn, the abusive elements of the case.  I also failed to see the consistency in the handling of false statement cases. However, I still supported the continuation of the Mueller investigation.

One line also stands out: “The danger of special counsel investigations is that, given unlimited time and resources, they often find some bad action tangentially related to their original inquiry that may have had little or no substantial negative impact.”

The objection is almost comical given the Post’s editorials supporting Mueller who never found that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. Instead, virtually all of the charges were for lying to investigators or entirely unrelated charges. Papadopoulos spent of all 14 days in jail. Van der Zwaan spent 30 days.

There was no concern over “tangential” or entirely unrelated charges when Mueller nailed a California man who ran a website selling dummy bank accounts to eBay and Facebook, Richard Pinedo, for identity theft. Sam Patten pleaded guilty for failing to register as a foreign agent. Michael Cohen was charged with various financial crimes related to his taxi medallion business and other personal matters, as well as a campaign-finance violation related to a stripper’s alleged affair with Trump. None of those charges led the Post and others to object to a drifting investigation. Instead, experts praised Mueller for using such charges to pressure possible witnesses.

Judging from the alarm at the indictment, Durham has every reason to finish his work. While many of the actors are now beyond the reach of charges due to the statute of limitations, he is preparing a report that could answer many questions on how the Russian investigation began. Yet, like Trump’s demanding the end of the Mueller investigation, the calls to stop Durham only deepen suspicions. As I said in opposition to Trump’s attacks on Mueller, there is a point where you “doth protest too much.” Just as I supported the appointment of a Special Counsel on Russian collusion and his finishing his work, the same is true here. Even if there are no more indictments, Durham would at a minimum bring clarity about what happened . . . which is precisely why many want him to stop immediately.

  1. Progressives are afraid. They are drunk with the prospect of achieving of authoritarian one party rule. But like the driver of a car careening into bright lights of oncoming 2 a.m. traffic, they are terrified that their bender could come to a cataclysmic end. The corrupt Biden regime with a decrepit figurehead president, an unravelling crisis at the Mexican border, abject humiliation at the hands of the Taliban, domestic resistance to the COVID power grab. And now this – their failed plan to secretly bend the levers of power to secure the 2016 election — masterminded by Hilary Clinton, the then-anointed heir to the Obama throne – is being exposed. Slowly. Inevitably. One piece at a time. Progressives are terrified and will do anything to keep their grip on power. Anything.

The indictment of Michael Sussman, a member of the elite inner circle if there ever was one, exposes the chilling corruption of the government and media. This is the real story of collusion at the heart of the 2016 election. At the direction of their client Hillary Clinton, Michael Sussman and his partners colluded to generate a story – one they new to be false – but one that would hold up just long enough to grab the headlines before the election. It’s like the scene in Pulp Fiction where the Wolf gets Vincent and Jules to cover the bloody car seats with blankets – he knows that the ruse won’t stand up to scrutiny, but at a passing glance everything will appear legit for just long enough to dispose of the evidence. Except the Democrats lost the 2016 election, and the evidence is coming to light.

The indictment explains how Sussman and his collaborators, as consummate insiders, exploited their influence to gain an audience at the highest levels of the FBI. With the collusion of a prominent tech executive and university researchers (some of whom apparently had pangs of conscience) to abscond with private internet data. How do we know that these people are elite insiders and that the story has legs? Because the government and media are quiet as church mice. If they wanted us know, they would leak like a sieve as they did so many times under the Trump administration. But they don’t, so they’re quiet, doing their darndest to tamp down the story and hoping that this crisis dies down into the next news cycle like so many before it.

Progressives are terrified. Terrified that we will learn the true story of collusion in the 2016 election and their corrupt schemes to destabilize a duly elected president. So terrified that they will do anything to keep their grip on power. Anything. Ask Mark Milley.

  2. Given the current administration’s view of the law and the constitution as handy substitutes for toilet paper in the event of another shortage, I foresee a swift presidential pardon incoming for anyone Durham does indict.

  4. “Biden goes for bike ride at the beach amid national crises, refuses to answer questions”

“President Biden went for a bike ride at the beach on Sunday amid multiple national crises and he refused to answer reporters’ questions as he biked past them.

“Mr. President, what will you tell Emmanuel Macron?” a reporter asked as Biden sped by.

“When are you going to call Macron?” another reporter asked.

Biden is set to call French President Emmanuel Macron to resolve a diplomatic crisis that developed last week. France recalled its ambassadors to the United States and Australia in response to a joint agreement between the U.S., Australia, and the United Kingdom to provide nuclear submarines to Australia, scrapping a previous agreement to send French-made submarines Down Under.

Biden also faces national crises at the southern border and in Afghanistan.

Hundreds of migrants crossed the border into Texas on Saturday, with many of them originally coming from Haiti.

“This situation has completely spiraled out of control,” Fox News’s Bill Melugin said Saturday while in Del Rio, Texas, showing hundreds of migrants crossing the Rio Grande into the U.S.

“We’ve been here for two hours now, almost two hours, and this line of people hasn’t stopped,” he added.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced Wednesday that authorities encountered 208,887 migrants in August, a slight decline from the 212,000 encounters in July and the second month in a row where the number of encounters breached the 200,000 mark.

The 208,887 number for August represents a 317% increase over August 2020, which saw 50,014 encounters — and a 233% increase over August 2019, where there were 62,707 amid that year’s border crisis.

Meanwhile, the head of U.S. Central Command, Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., announced on Friday that it is unlikely any ISIS-K members died in a Kabul drone strike on August 29, which led to multiple civilian casualties.

An untold number of Americans and U.S. allies remain trapped in Afghanistan after President Biden ordered the full withdrawal of U.S. troops on August 31, leaving the country in the hands of the Taliban. Retired military leaders have called for the mass resignation of Biden’s diplomatic and military leaders in the wake of the fiasco.

Meanwhile, Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, faces serious accusations after Bob Woodward’s upcoming book, “Peril,” revealed that Milley gave assurances to China that America would not strike the country amid his worries that former President Donald Trump’s actions might spark a war.”

    1. Biden has allowed in well over a million illegal immigrants, on top of legal immigration. Many of the illegal immigrants have Covid. They are released into border communities, making Covid cases skyrocket.

Biden is forcing border states to exhaust their resources dealing with the flood of people breaking federal immigration laws that he refuses to enforce. Then Biden castigates the states for rising Covid cases.

When will enough people wake up and hold him accountable? Or whoever is in charge, since Biden keeps saying he’s not “allowed” to take questions, or is only “allowed” to call on reporters on a list he’s given, or he’ll “get in trouble” if he talks about a certain topic.

        1. Anonymous:

Here is an article posted this past June:

“Federal officials have logged more than 1.1 million apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border this fiscal year, after another busy month in June, Customs and Border Protection said in a news release Friday…

Border apprehensions have risen every month since President Biden took office, presenting political and logistical concerns for the new administration as Democrats seek to pass legislation that would allow the 11 million undocumented immigrants already living in the United States to apply for citizenship.”

Now, granted, I don’t know when the fiscal year starts for CBP, and some of those were removed from the US by Trump, and are re-entering. Many interviews of illegal aliens said they believe Biden wants them to come. It is estimated that if this keeps up, around 2 million people will immigrate here illegally by the end of this year.

There are currently 15,000 people, mostly unvaccinated Haitian men, massing just at the Del Rio border alone. Again, Biden gave them to believe that illegally immigrating is now OK.

          Are you defending this?

Do you think federal immigration law should not apply, and if so, why not?

Do you think it wise to allow in unfettered illegal immigration, at this magnitude, many of them sick with Covid? County fairs and events are getting shut down, but anyone sick with any variant of Covid is free to come on in and move about the country.

We’re doing the opposite of New Zealand and Canada, and most other countries, who have sharply curtailed immigration, and strictly enforced quarantine.

This is madness. Having to explain this is madness to people in denial is maddening.

          1. a) The federal fiscal year runs from October 1 to September 30, so much of that occurred under Trump.
            b) Counting “apprehensions” is not the same as counting people, since a single person may be apprehended multiple times (in fact, your article says as much: “Many who were taken into custody have attempted to cross the border more than once”)
            c) Not all “apprehensions” correspond to “illegal immigrants,” since it is legal to arrive at the border and request asylum.

For all of those reasons, your claim that “Biden has allowed in well over a million illegal immigrants” isn’t warranted.

“Biden gave them to believe that illegally immigrating is now OK. ”

How about you quote what Biden said that you’re referring to?

I do not believe in open borders. We also don’t have open borders. It is not illegal for people to apply for asylum, and I do believe in taking in refugees, especially when our actions contribute to their difficulty remaining in their home countries (e.g., people who worked for the US as translators in Afghanistan, people fleeing drug violence fueled by US drug use). I also believe in work visas.

      1. People have the legal right to seek asylum. Seeking asylum is one thing–getting it is another thing. COVID cases are due to Republican governors who do everything they can to pander to the vaccination fears based on lies and that’s why COVID cases are skyrocketing. The motivation is political–trying to prevent an economic recovery to hamstring Biden’s Presidency. Florida isn’t a border state, and neither are N. Dakota, the Carolinas, Louisiana and Mississippi where cases are worse than a year ago. Can’t blame that on illegals.

You’re repeating Ingraham when you try to lie about Biden refusing to answer questions and the other drivel you are repeating. When are YOU going to hold Trump accountable and wake up to the reality that the Big Lie is nothing but a product of his malignant narcissism?

        1. “Florida isn’t a border state . . . Can’t blame that on illegals.”

Uh, those migrants are transported to states throughout the country (including Florida).

It’s the greatest super-spreader event in this pandemic.

  5. Trump’s Legacy:

Election Officials Require Legal Defense Network

Today’s New York Times reports that America’s election workers have a new and desperately needed friend:

The Election Official Legal Defense Network, which made its public debut on Sept. 7, offers to represent more than just poll workers, of course. Formed to counter the waves of political pressure and public bullying that election workers have faced in the last year, the organization pledges free legal services to anyone involved in the voting process, from secretaries of state to local election officials and volunteers.

The group already has received inquiries from several election officials, said David J. Becker, the executive director of the nonprofit Center for Election Innovation and Research, which oversees the project. Without getting into details, Mr. Becker said their queries were “related to issues like harassment and intimidation.”

The network is the creation of two powerhouses in Republican and Democratic legal circles, Benjamin L. Ginsberg and Bob Bauer. In a Washington Post opinion piece this month, the two — Mr. Ginsberg was a premier G.O.P. lawyer for 38 years and Mr. Bauer was both a Democratic Party lawyer and White House counsel in the Obama administration — wrote that such attacks on people “overseeing the counting and casting of ballots on an independent, nonpartisan basis are destructive to our democracy.”

    Edited from:

Because of Trump’s election lies, and the pressure he has put on Election Officials nationwide, there is now a genuine need for Legal Defense Network for all state employees and volunteers involved in elections. What a sad development!

Yet Johnathan Turley, an alleged ‘Constitutional Scholar’, has never pittied election workers. Instead Turley wants us to pity Donald Trump! Because the Russia Probe was so mean!! The idea seems to be that we, as Americans, are supposed to forget all the upheaval created by Trump’s election lies and see Trump instead as the victim of Hillary, Steele and Mueller.

Oh, and here’s a headline from today’s Washington Post:

“Putin’s party expected to maintain its grip on the Duma as opposition complains of stolen vote”

See that? Looks familiar, right; complaints of ‘rigged elections’? Thanks to Donald Trump, our headlines now resemble news from Russia. That was the whole idea!! Yet we’re supposed to think the Russia Probe was a ‘hoax’.

    1. Hey Anonymous, the new Texas election law makes it illegal to bully election officials in Texas. The Democrats are against it. Keep up Anonymous. Keep up.

      1. Thinkthrough you have it backwards. The Texas law gives more leeway to so-called ‘poll watchers’ so they can Intimidate poll workers.

      2. The TX legislation passed in spite of the Democrats fleeing their constituents and legislative jobs. They were AWOL. In former Western days they would have been shot at sundown.

    2. Ah yes, the NY Times. Say, have they found those WMDs that Judith Miller wasted so many words on? And yes, Russiagate was a hoax — and we don’t need to wait for the Times or WaPo to acknowledge it. Some of us can follow the evidence and think for ourselves.

    3. On one of the morning political programs, a guest commented that when “The Apprentice” wasn’t nominated for an Emmy, Trump alleged that the nomination process was rigged against him. Gee, what a surprise!

Dan Coats, who Trump appointed as head of American Intelligence, said that Russians did interfere in 2016 with the help of Trump’s campaign. So, Trump fired him. Coats was a former member of Congress and a lifelong Republican with a sterling reputation.

  6. Articles like this from Turley only reinforces the indoctrinated cult. Turley, keeps them permanently aggrieved with toxic rage and reinforced delusions. Of course, this is exactly what FOX does 24-7.

    1. FishWings must be in favor of the new Texas election laws making it illegal to bully election officials. This is not about bullying by Trump it is about Republican poll watchers being bullied by Democrats. Like being sent home and the count being continued after they left or putting up barriers so they couldn’t see the counting process. We all know that FishWings is the gold standard of fairness. We expect nothing less.

    2. Not at all like the Democrats hysterically pushing Russiagate for four years and hysterically trying to impeach Trump with zero evidence. Talk about toxic rage — have you been to a BLM protest, or met Antifa on any of your travels? Then there’s the Squad, whose rage spills over into name calling and vulgar accusations whenever a vote doesn’t go their way. There certainly is indoctrination in America — and the CRT mob is pushing it in schools and workplaces. But we can’t expect Democrats to see any of this, because they are the poster children for delusion.

  7. Democrats ridicule their foes because it is part of their political playbook outlined in Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. The Clinton machinery introduced Saul Alinsky’s strategies since Hillary idolized him.

    Rules for Radicals

In 1971, Saul Alinsky wrote an entertaining classic on grassroots organizing titled Rules for Radicals. Those who prefer cooperative tactics describe the book as out-of-date. Nevertheless, it provides some of the best advice on confrontational tactics. Alinsky begins this way: What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away…..According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

    The Rules….

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people. The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

An Analysis of the Alinsky Model

If the ideals Alinsky espouses were actualized, he result would be social revolution. Ironically, this is not a disjunctive projection if considered in the tradition of Western democratic theory. In the first chapter it was pointed out that Alinsky is regarded by many as the proponent of a dangerous socio/political philosophy. As such, he has been feared – just as Eugene Debs or Walt Whitman or Martin Luther King has been feared, because each embraced the most radical of political faiths — democracy.

  8. The Seditious act(s) cast on President Trump and his administration has not been addressed until now. What will come from this second indictment is really the question. If the investigation only yields two indictments on a now proven seditious plot to over throw the elected Presidency, then we can be assured that the Constitution and law there under are meaningless in the swamp we call Washington DC
If one party can cast aspersions knowingly false against a President, and have the administrative bureaucrats create false documents to support the false allegations, and then have the same administrative bureaucrats investigate the false allegations and documents they manufactured, should have demanded swift action by the Justice Department and not left to linger. The neglect by Justice during both Sessions and Barr’s supervision and now Garland, makes one wonder if they too are complicit in the plot to overthrow the Trump presidency and what seems to be a continued denial of existing evidence of wrong doing.

The January 6th occupation of the Capital has been defined as an insurrection, conducted by unarmed insurrectionists. Defining the occupation of the Capital as an insurrection creates a false equivalency trying to equate occupation of a building to an insurrection, especially when an actual seditious insurrection was tried against President Trump. It’s all like a mirrored hall or a mirage; look over here, no here, only to have the true image obfuscated by the perpetrators of the false allegations themselves.

God help us if this portents what the future holds for the United States and law and order.

    1. There was NO “proven seditious plot” to overthrow Trump, who cheated to get into office. Trump lost the election to Hillary Clinton, but “won” the Electoral College by cheating. This is just one reason why he never broke a 50% approval rating and why he lost in 2020. It’s well-documented that January 6th was an insurrection. The insurrections WERE armed: with bear spray, flag poles and other objects they used to beat the Capitol Police officers to force their way into the Capitol and to smash windows and break down doors. They chanted their reason for being there: “Hang Pence”. They had a noose and gallows and zip ties. They weren’t there to “occupy” a building, either: they were there to try to stop the rightful winner of the election from taking office by any means possible, all as ginned up by the orange slob you call “president”.

      1. Trump lost the election to Hillary Clinton, but “won” the Electoral College by cheating…they were there to try to stop the rightful winner of the election from taking office by any means possible,

According to Natacha, only one of those two statements proves “the big lie.” Actually both are part of the big truth… if Democrats make allegations, they are invariably guilty of what they allege.

  9. There was no statement from Baker in the indictment saying that, only ambiguous notes from the Assistant Director who wasn’t in the meeting.

    1. only ambiguous notes from the Assistant Director who wasn’t in the meeting.
You are perfectly fine with FBI agents writing 302 to interviews they never sat in on. Whats your beef with this?

  10. Let’s remind everyone that JT and the entire R media network was denouncing all the indictments against Trump associates. JT was against the Flynn prosecution because lying the the FBI was not significant enough. Yes partisanship happens.

  11. We’ll see if the perpetrators of the fabricated Russia hoax ever face justice. They attempted to meddle in our election process, and they succeeded with undermining and destabilizing a duly elected president for his entire presidency. The hoax was one of the foundational structures of the propaganda campaign against Donald Trump.

Almost everything that Trump has been accused of has been false. People hear the accusations, believe them, and then had a deep and abiding prejudice against him, and his voters. There were absolutely factual mistakes and character flaws to criticize, but the propaganda campaign bulldozed over the truth.

    1. Trump was an antisemite, and sent an antisemitic meme about Hillary Clinton. Truth: Trump is not an antisemite. He has Jewish family, is the strongest supporter of Israel of all recent presidents, moved the embassy to Jerusalem as promised by the US years ago, and successfully demanded Saudi Arabia permit Jews, his relatives, walk on its soil in many years. The Clinton meme was in reference to her repeatedly getting away with breaking the law. The star was called the Sheriff’s badge in clip art, and in fact myriad law enforcement, ranger, and even gymkhana badges have the exact same shape. It was a made up accusation.

    2. Trump was working with the Russians. Total hoax. Made up by Hillary Clinton’s camp in order to meddle with the election, divert attention from her own lawless behavior with classified information and the emails, and destabilize his presidency. See numerous posts on this blog.

    3. Trump had dementia. Made up. Trump never showed signs of dementia, such as Biden is exhibiting. Trump took a cognitive assessment test, and directed his doctor to share the results, as well as his medical history and general health, with the public.

    4. Trump was going to hide his actions from the world. Fabricated. Trump gave access to the press, and he answered questions from journalists where the hate was mutual. He argued and quarreled with journalists, but he still held press conferences and took the arrows. It’s actually Biden who refuses to answer questions, walks off the podium. When he does answer questions, he only calls on reporters from a list whoever is really in charge gave him, and then he often reads the answers.

    5. Trump called white supremacists “very fine people”. Fabricated. Trump said there were very fine people on both sides of the protest, those in favor of removing statues, and those in favor of keeping them. He expressly said, “and I’m not talking about the white supremacist or Neo Nazis, who should be condemned totally.” It can also be inferred that he wasn’t calling Antifa “very fine people”, either.

    6. Trump was so unstable he would cause nuclear war, and should never have the nuclear launch codes. False. We went 4 years without any new wars. Trump was actually more interested in peace. He negotiated 4 Middle East peace deals, which John Kerry had claimed were impossible. We can thank Trump for the Abraham Accords, which Biden’s Admin is currently celebrating.

    7. There was a threat that Trump was going to nuke China. See above. Trump was interested in peace. Holding China accountable for engineering and accidentally releasing Covid-19 never involved nuclear war. Totally fabricated.

    8. Trump engaged in a quid pro quo with Ukraine. Aid to Ukraine was indeed delayed, but it was released by the planned deadline. It was Joe Biden who explicitly told Ukraine that if they did not fire the prosecutor, who happened to be investigating Hunter Biden’s company, by the time Joe left on the plane within 6 hours, then they would not get any US aid money. That’s a quid pro quo. Activists keep relying on what they claim Trump really meant, or implied, or what he could have been thinking. Joe Biden engaged in an explicit quid pro quo. Donald Trump was impeached for inquiring about Joe Biden’s quid pro quo. Biden is the Democrat ruling elite class. One mustn’t officially or unofficially enquire into their allegedly illegal activities.

    9. Trump was lying that Obama spied upon him. Turned out to be absolutely true.

    10. Trump was lying when he said Operation Warp Speed would release an Emergency Use Authorization Vaccine to the public before the end of 2020. Turned out this was absolutely true.

There are myriad examples where the Democrat Party accused Trump or others on the right of what the Democrats were actually doing. The trend is undeniable at this point.

Trump was a rude, self aggrandizing, braggart. But our country was better off under him. We had peace, a thriving economy, and the average American got tax cuts. This is why people vote on policy, not the individual person.

    1. Good list, Karen. On 6, I would add that Trump called off a retaliatory strike on Iran at the last moment because of advice given to him when requested of the potential number of people it would kill. He viewed it as disproportionate. Drove Bolton wild.

On Durham, I hope he has evidence to bring more indictments, perhaps against Marc Elias and Clinton campaign managers, if not Clinton herself. This looks unlikely, however. It also seems that he is unable, or is unwilling, to bring charges against any high level Government officials.

    2. Perhaps being a rude, self-aggrandizing braggart is what is needed to get results and deal with the tyrants in today’s Godless world. I’d rather have mean tweets and outrageous comments from someone who had our country’s interest at heart than the puppet in the WH being controlled by unseen forces who at every turn seem more and more determined to destroy America as a land of the free.

    3. Karen: you either don’t have a life or you’re paid to keep repeating the same drivel. Which is it? Trump is a pathological liar and he is also a sociopath. Nothing you claim is correct. Everything Trump does is all abut HIM, HIM, HIM.

      1. Trump is an anti-semite, according to his niece. Trump moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem to curry favor with wealthy Jews in the US, for campaign contribution purposes, and nothing else. It was a symbolic “up yours” to the Palestinians. I’ve asked you many times before: what benefit did the American people derive from this? Name something WE Americans got for the millions it cost us.

      2. Trump’s campaign DID collude with Russians because he was predicted to lose the election, so they came up with a scheme to win the Electoral College. Trump’s campaign fed insider polling information to Russian hackers who used it to smear Hillary Clinton in certain districts in key swing states where support for her was soft enough that such lies could make a difference. Dan Coats, a lifetime Republican and former member of Congress, appointed by Trump as the head of American Intelligence says so, and was fired for telling this truth. The Mueller Report says so, and it is based on actual legal evidence. ALL DURHAM DID IS ALLEGEDLY CATCH SOMEONE LYING ABOOUT WHETHER HE HAD A CLIENT. THIS DOES NOT CHANGE THE FUNDAMENTAL FACT THAT THERE WERE TIES BETWEEN THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN AND RUSSIA. No hoax, other than the fat one you worship.

      3. No one said Trump had dementia–what has been said is that he is a pathological liar, narcissist and sociopath, all of which impairs him from serving as a President. Multiple licensed professionals have said so, including his niece, Dr. Mary Trump. The screening test for recent and distant memory proves nothing, other than the ability to plot the correct time on a clock face and to recall 5 words. This test does not address Trump’s serious and dangerous personality disorders.

      4. You need to stop repeating the Ingraham lie about Biden walking away and refusing questions. Chris Cuomo addressed this. The mic is muted pre-news conference for photo ops. And, Biden does NOT only answer preselected questions. Trump attacked journalists who asked questions he didn’t like, and never held anywhere near the number of news conferences Biden has. His press secretaries constantly lied, especially Huckabee and McAnany.

      5. You really need to stop repeating the Kellyanne spin for Trump saying there were “very fine people” on both sides of the Charlottesville riot in which Heather Heyer was murdered. After the backlash for Trump’s praise of White Supremacists, he tried to walk back what he said, but it was too late–another Kellyanne “alternative facts” situation. On January 6th, Trump praised the Proud Boys, Neo Nazis and White Supremacists who invaded the Capitol, telling them that he “loved them” and that they were “special”. Doesn’t Kellyanne have a spin for this one?

      6. More of your “Abraham Accords” bullsh*t. There were no “peace” deals that anyone claimed were impossible or that Biden is “celebrating”. Jared Kushner formalized by contract trade agreements that were already happening between Israel and Bahrain, UAE and others. What hot war did the “Abraham Accords” end? Tell us. If there wasn’t any actual fighting that ended because of the agreement, it wasn’t a “peace” agreement at all, and if the parties were already trading, it wasn’t any “miracle” either–and it was all Kushner’s doing, not Trump’s. And, according to several recent books, military leaders, the Chinese and Pelosi were worried about Trump starting a nuclear war, as a desperate measure to hang onto power. Trump IS mentally unstable, and cannot accept rejection, which makes him dangerous. He still won’t shut up or go away. Any reasonable person can see his unrelenting efforts to overturn the 2020 election as the pathetic display of emotional instability and denial that it is. He won’t let losing 60 court challenges, certification by 50 Secretaries of State, most of whom were Republican, multiple recounts, 4 years of below 50% approval ratings or every single poll predicting his loss stop him from pushing on, and all of this is the product of his disabling mental illness. According to Wolff’s book, “Landslide”, Trump thinks he can just bully his way back into the White House. Reality doesn’t faze him.

      7. No matter how many times you hear Hannity, Ingraham, Levin, Tucker and others say it, there is NO proof of the origin of the SARS CoVID 2 virus.

      8. Trump DID try to leverage aid to Ukraine in exchange for fabricating lies about the Biden family. He was impeached for this.

      9. Obama did NOT spy on Trump.

      10. Trump does not deserve credit for the vaccine, which was the product of dedicated scientists working for decades on virus genetics and the mechanisms of infection and transmission. All Trump did was divert taxpayer money to drug companies so they could rush production of a vaccine prototype and he agreed to pay for the vaccine even if it turned out to be a dud. That’s it. Like everything else in his mentally-disordered universe, it is all about HIM, HIM, HIM. He claims that proved critics wrong about the speed of producing a vaccine. Producing a vaccine is one thing–fully testing it is another thing. He tried to push the FDA to bypass usual studies and safety protocols, to try to get out a vaccine before it was fully tested and before the election, but they refused to take shortcuts, so he accused them of being in league with Democrats. Studies are still ongoing to determine safety for children under the age of 12, how long immunity lasts after the 2-dose regimen, what groups might need boosters, and the optimal time to administer boosters.

Our country was NOT better off under Trump. Biden got handed several messes he had to clean up, including a pandemic that was allowed to get under control, a trashed economy that is still trying to fully recover, and a bad deal Trump cut with the Taliban to release 5,000 of their prisoners and to draw down our troops from 14,000 to 2,500 before anyone got out. Trump had NO exit plan. Trump did NOT negotiate to maintain a presence or air base in Afghanistan. Biden was forced to play the hand he was dealt. You are lying or delusional when you say that when Trump left we had a “thriving economy”. Multiple industries are still trying to recover because factory shut downs,–for instance, companies that make computer chips that affect everything from home appliances and automobiles, foam rubber producers–you can’t get new furniture that uses cushions. Some businesses will never recover, like restaurants that closed down due to the Trump Pandemic.

I saw a pundit today who opined that perhaps Biden’s victory was more about making sure Trump was gone than support for Biden or his agenda so you may be right about people voting more for (or, in this case, against) a person than an agenda. Most Americans see Trump for the liar, braggart, womanizer, racist, xenophobic narcissist that he is. They see how he managed to bankrupt 6 businesses, and his absolute lack of leadership or vision, much less patriotism He took a thriving economy and trashed it. He took a pandemic and lied about it, down played it, tried to blame China for it, and then tried to leverage it to his benefit by taking credit for the intelligence and dedication of scientists who created a vaccine after he tried to bully them to shortcut safety protocols. Now, if his disciples boo him, he turns against the very vaccine he tried to leverage for political purposes.

        1. @Natacha,

Your idiocy is only surpassed by your lies. I guess you don’t remember Bandy X. Lee, former lecturer at Yale University (who has since been fired) who would go on all the lefty networks and lie about Trump being insane, demented, etc. She turned out to be a nutter and a bald face liar much like yourself. Lying about Trump’s record doesn’t mean that he didn’t rescued a country from the incompetence of Obama, Biden and their demented minions. He lifted up people who the democrat party left behind. Employment and wages for the working class went up. Employment for blacks and Latino’s went up along with their wages.

As for Trump’s niece, I and others can only laugh at the musings of a scorned family member. She is part of the smear campaign (just like you) because she didn’t get a share of what wasn’t hers. This fact has left her a bitter and angry woman whose book was a complete flop. So you can join Bandy X. Lee, Mary Trump and the rest of lying left. Come November 2022, the GOP will regain control of congress and the Joe Chi Min Xiden administration will be DOA.

          1. Trump inherited a thriving economy from Barak Obama, which promptly started trending downward when he imposed tariffs on China after he couldn’t bully them with a trade agreement. Trump didn’t “rescue” anyone. Obama’s economic numbers were better than Trump’s, even before he botched the pandemic. You claim Mary Trump was “scorned”. Trump cheated her out of part of her inheritance, like he cheats everyone else unfortunate enough to be in proximity to him so that he can cheat them. How do you explain the thousands of lawsuits for the same thing–contracting for goods and services and then refusing to pay for them? Thousands of lawsuits alleging bad faith in contracting and refusing to pay the agreed amount, only to be forced to negotiate for a lower amount due to litigation expense point to the same thing–he’s a crook. He even brags about it, claiming it proves he’s the master of deal-making and getting his way. Now, no one wants to deal with him–material suppliers, contractors, artisans, and especially attorneys, whom he refuses to pay unless he wins. Paul Ryan recognized Trump for the emotionally damaged person he is and consulted a psychiatrist about how to handle him.. The psychiatrist told Ryan Trump was a narcissist, and to avoid direct confrontations which could provoke him into doing dangerous things because he now had power. Ryan eventually decided to leave Congress rather than constantly coming up with ways to deal with someone with a serious personality disorder.

      1. Natacha — it KILLS you and your fellow Dems to see with your own eyes that Joe Biden is doing an AWFUL job as POTUS and that Biden is actually FAR MORE INCOMPETENT than all of you and your media screamed President Trump would be! Biden is FAR worse than Trump ever was as president.

ALL of Biden’s scandals and catastophes are REAL. All of Trump’s were Democrat/Media creations and SPIN to try to take down Trump’s presidency.

Now? YOU have to eat crow and watch as Joe Biden, the corrupt old fool, proceeds to continue f’ing everything up just as everyone who knows him KNEW he would.

We are coming for you in 2022. People are angry and it is only going to get worse for Joe and Kammy. There ain’t no love in the country for those two.

Haven’t you hear the chants happening in football stadiums all across the country? “F Joe Biden! F Joe Biden”

      2. FACT: Our country WAS better off and LESS divided under Trump.

FACT: Joe Biden is a lazy entitled incompetent politician who has NO IDEA HOW TO LEAD at home or abroad. What a mess Joe Biden has made in only 8 months!
And the country is suffering because of it. But not for much longer. His ratings will continue to tank. He will reach bottom. Guaranteed.

FACT: Miss Priggy, the priggish Press Secretary, Jen Psaki is a bold liar. BOLD liar. Who gets away with it because why? Yep. She’s a snide, self-satisfied, righteous, irritating-as-h*ll lying Democrat press secretary complete with glossy magazine glorification photo shoot by famouse celebrity photograhper. It is disgusting to most THINING Americans. We all see what POS incompetents they are. Ain’t gonna fly that BS no more. Except people like you keep eatin’ it up. Mmmmm y’all love to eat your Democrat bullsh*t doncha?

      3. Btw, Natacha, No one with half a brain believes Joe Biden won anything, let alone 80 million votes!! That is laughable. He was installed. The powers-that-be ALL know it, too.

        1. EVERY SINGLE POLL, INCLUDING FOX NEWS POLLS PREDICTED BIDEN’S VICTORY. Trump never got the approval of even 50% of the US population in 4 years’ time, which is a record in the history of presidential polling. Biden has already beaten Trump in approval ratings. You are the one who is laughable. At the time of the 2020 election, the economy was in shambles, the worst since the Great Depression, unemployment was in double-digits, COVID cases were setting new records, businesses, restaurants, factories and schools were closed down and there was no end in sight. And, you believe that, somehow, Trump really overcame all of this and got more votes than Biden? Even people in my ruby-red state stood in line for up to 8 hours to vote out this loser.

      4. Natacha says, about Afghanistan, “Biden was forced to play the hand he was dealt.”

Nope. Biden arbitrarily moved the date and voided the deal made under Trump admin. Biden and Biden alone, F’d up the Afghanistan withdrawal in one of the most shamefully incompetent operations we have ever seen as a country. Even the Brits CENSURED President Biden’s incompetence!

France just called its US Ambassador home!

But as Joe idiot Biden likes to say, “American is Back.”

Not under Joe Biden’s incompetent lack of leadership.

America and the world misses President Trump. That’s a fact.

        1. President Biden was vacationing at his mult-million dollar beach house in Delaware for yet another long weekend. He could not be reached for comment until the work week resumes for President Biden sometime on Monday afternoon or Tuesday sometime. Gub’ment hours for that lazy POS.

        2. Well, Anonymous, do you take notes when you watch Fox, OAN, News Max and the other alt-right outlets? Because all you are doing is repeating the lies they tell.

Here is an irrefutable fact. Write it down, and keep it with the notes you take when you watch your daily affirmation shows: MOST AMERICANS DON’T LIKE TRUMP. NEVER DID–IN 2016 WHEN MOST OF US VOTED FOR HILLARY, AND MOST DISAPPROVED FROM 2016 TO DATE DURING HIS FAKE PRESIDENCY. MOST VOTED AGAINST HIM IN 2020. He set a record for low approval ratings. NO ONE misses him, except you disciples, who are a distinct minority.

          1. Biden’s presidency is falling apart. Joe Biden is falling apart along with it. The whole world is watching it happen. Britain’s parliament held Biden in contempt! France just recalled its US ambassador for the first time ever!

As the kids are chanting in stadiums across the country: “F Joe Biden! F Joe Biden!”

            80 million votes? Laughable.

        3. List exactly what Biden, personally, did or didn’t do that was f’d up about the Afghanistan withdrawal. Biden followed the advice of his military advisors. Biden did NOT void the contract made by Trump. And, the Taliban are allowing Americans and our allies to leave, but as previously noted on this blog, pro-Trump media and Trumpsters will milk, milk and milk problems with the Afghanistan withdrawal for as much political capital as possible while simultaneously ignoring Trump’s incredibly stupid agreement to draw down troops, release Taliban prisoners and not even invite the Afghans to the bargaining table. He made no provisions to maintain a base there, either, and as a retreating army, we had no leverage to demand a base or airport in Afghanistan. The time to have done this was when we had 14,000 troops there, not after Trump withdrew them.

France is pissed off because it had tried for years to strike a deal with Australia for the purchase of nuclear submarines. Australia balked at the price, plus the limitations in capability, so it asked the US for proposals. The submarines we have available for sale are better and cost less, and so Australia went with the US submarines. France somehow thinks the US owes it to either increase the price to compete with their higher price, or give them a second or third shot at getting this sale. Now, what, exactly, did Biden do that was wrong here? To whom does he owe loyalty–US submarine manufacturers or France? France had an inferior product that cost more and the Australians didn’t want their submarines.

          1. List exactly what Biden, personally, did or didn’t do that was f’d up about the Afghanistan withdrawal

I am NOT responding to a troll, rather educating those that may not follow the news as closely as others follow the news.

Mistake One, was doing the withdraw during what the Afgahni’s lovingly call ‘fighting season” This is the time of the year the weather is conducive to death, destruction and mayhem.

Mistake Two, Closing Bagram Airbase. A fortress of a base, that was much easier to defend than a small airport in middle of a city, of 4,000,000

That’s just two of the biggest, there are lots more.

        4. From a British attorney, commenting on whether Biden was “censured” by Parliament:

Short answer: they didn’t. There was a misleading headline in the Daily Telegraph which strongly implied that they had held him in contempt, but the article itself made it clear that this wasn’t literally the case.

Unfortunately some overseas news outlets picked up the story and repeated the headline verbatim (without the clarification in the text) which meant lots of people around the world were given a very misleading impression of events.

Being in contempt of Parliament is a highly formalised procedure, and it is quite difficult (but not impossible) to be held in contempt of Parliament without appearing before it. For the avoidance of doubt, that did not happen in this case.

So, just another alt-right media lie you Trumpsters believe.

          1. “. . . whether Biden was ‘censured’ by Parliament . . .”

“Censured” is a straw man. The fact is that Biden was resoundingly condemned by both parties, for his botched withdrawal and for his deflections. And the fact is that the British (along with other allies) no longer trust the U.S. as a partner in international conflicts.

Cut-and-run, with your tail between your legs (all for a photo op) does not engender confidence.

      5. Let’s not ever forget that President Biden was vacationing at Camp David when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. His incompetent Secretary of State was vacationing with the rich and famous in the Hamptons when Afghanistan fell trapping Americans behind enemy lines. These people are not serious. These people are incompetent to a dangerous degree for the country. The world knows it too.

        1. No US President in recent history took off more time than Trump. That is a statistical fact. Look it up. “Afghanistan fell” 10 years ago. Americans were not “trapped behind enemy lines”. That’s a lie, too. They were given not less than 15 warnings to leave, which most of them ignored. Over 124,000 have gotten out, and the Taliban are allowing others to leave, per their agreement with Biden.

          1. Americans were given “not less than 15 warnings to leave, which most of them ignored.” !!!

Oh, so it’s THEIR fault, not Joe Biden’s incompetence? You are just repeating Biden propaganda.

What’s really happening is ransom payments by way of State Dept. sending foreign “aid” to Afghanistan and other avenues. Joe Biden administration is an incompetent disgrace.

The voters are angry and will not forget in 2022.

No US President has ever been lazier, or more incompetent, than Joe Biden.

            1. It is NOT propaganda to point out that Americans in Afghanistan were given months and multiple warnings to get out. Most of them didn’t get out. How is that Biden’s fault? Exactly HOW is Biden “incompetent” here? These are facts. The crap you write is propaganda because it is nothing more than pro-Trump, anti-Biden rhetoric. And, Americans are still leaving. The Taliban is not preventing them from doing so.

Voters are NOT as angry as you think. Trump has NEVER been acceptable to most Americans, and never will be, because there’s nothing there to admire. He is a constant liar, self-aggrandizer, and someone with NO vision or concept of altruism or patriotism. He lives for attention, praise, adulation, the throngs of cheering disciples. He pandered to white supremacy fears, and supports the Proud Boys and Neo Nazis, whom he said on January 6th that he “loved” and that they were “special”. HE is the one who is lazy, incompetent, ignorant, racist, xenophobic, misogynistic and arrogant. Trump is the one who bankrupted 6 businesses, after his father couldn’t bail him out any more. Trump has nothing to offer.

          2. “They were given not less than 15 warnings to leave, which most of them ignored.”

Actually, most Americans left. Some stayed. Some want to stay, most of whom are probably dual-nationality.

          3. ….the Taliban are allowing others to leave, per their agreement with Biden.

Was this an agreement you brokered as an attorney / Nurse Practitioner, or was it done in your capacity as a Taliban member?

      6. “Some businesses will never recover, like restaurants that closed down due to” fascist politicians who *forced* them to close down.

        There. fixed it for you.

        1. People didn’t want to go to restaurants for indoor dining when the pandemic was raging out of control because they didn’t want to get sick and die. Some people still don’t want to dine indoors. It is irresponsible to ignore the COVID pandemic like Trump and the Republicans have done, and to refuse to take the advice of public health professionals and epidemiologists.

        1. One of the techniques to create discipleship for propaganda purposes is to convince the faithful that they are in the majority: that most people agree with them. That’s exactly what Hitler did. That’s exactly what alt-right media does. And, it’s working for you Trumpsters. So, not only do Fox, OAN, News Max, et al, put out lies and slanted perspectives on facts, they also tell you believers that any other source of information or insight cannot be believed, and that anyone saying anything to the contrary must be attacked. Trump has always traded on racism: pandering to the resentment of non college educated whites who resented Obama’s successful presidency, and also xenophobia: all of those brown people from south of the border are coming to take away your health care and jobs. This deep-seated fear drives “support” for Trump–it certainly cannot be the disaster he caused while occupying our White House. You disciples also have been indoctrinated into believing that “most” Americans agree with you, which isn’t the truth. This is why Trump lost the popular vote in 2016 and 2020, but he cannot accept this, so he lies. And, you disciples believe it. Where’s the proof? Where’s the evidence? How do you explain a record for low approval numbers, every poll predicting Trump’s loss, 50 Secretaries of State certifying Biden’s victory, 60+ lawsuits finding no widespread voter fraud and no proof of the other claims of election fraud? YOU, Wen Bars, are the one who makes no sense. Accepting the word of someone who constantly lies, despite all proof to the contrary, makes no sense.

    4. Karen S

      Great summary.

Appreciate your taking the time to sum up the facts.

Recent revelations show just how lawless and despicable the Dems are.

But posts by Lefty bloggers show how many people are invincible in their stupidity.

  12. Hope the Durham investigation presses forward to indict the most important culprits who perpetrated the Russiagate lie: Obama CIA Director John Brennan, James Comey, and the others involved in Crossfire Hurricane. Of course, this was all done with the blessing of Obama and Biden: an attempt to overturn election 2016 and obstruct the peaceful transfer of power. Slow motion coup attempt.

  13. “In Washington, there is no greater indication of wrongdoing than the number of people denouncing efforts to investigate it”

JT, I might trust that you believe this if you said the same when Republicans/conservatives are the ones doing the denouncing.

It’s a stupid claim regardless. The indication of wrongdoing comes from evidence of wrongdoing, not from unrelated people’s opinions about it.

As for Sussman, I look forward to seeing whether Durham has good evidence. The indictment doesn’t make a good case.

    1. Anon– “The indictment doesn’t make a good case.”

Then it is probably a good thing that at a trial more is offered than just the indictment.

    2. Not sure what you think is missing from the indictment. Sussman charged his time on this matter, including the meeting with Baker, to the Clinton campaign, and then told Baker he was not acting for a client.

      1. In the indictment, there was no statement or notes from Baker saying that, Sussman “told Baker he was not acting for a client,” only ambiguous notes from the Assistant Director who wasn’t present at the meeting between Baker and Sussman.

    3. What’s the expression? “Roll ’em up”? Durham is starting with the low hanging fruit: Sussman. Get him to cut a deal and sing. Then roll out the rest of the indictments and bring ’em all down. BURN IT ALL DOWN. Please.

  14. ……Mueller who never found that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians.

Some trolls commenters on this blog have stated just the opposite, like former frequent commentator, CommitToHonestDiscussuon. Just like their slippery use of the US Constitution, they claim fidelity to Mueller’s report, make unsupported conclusions, and fight opponents to the death, but with a straight face claim they are committing to honest discussion.

At least COVID attacks and either fails in greater than 98% of the cases, or defeats unfit organisms. Would that the FDA provide the nation with a vaccine that vanquishes virulent pathogens like dishonest politicos. Uptake of such a vaccine would surpass 75% compliancy: Republicans and Independents. Democrats would rather die on their innate lethal spike proteins than spare the nation of their pestilence.

    1. Those “unfit organisms” are people.

I again encourage you to take your own bible reading from yesterday more seriously: “pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.”

  15. If the field of History is allowed to survive intact, it really is important that Durham who has put so much time into this be allowed to in most cases just present that information. We as a nation need to know exactly what happened so we can do our best to not let history repeat itself as if often does.

    1. Wasnt the AP also located on the 7th floor of Hamas HQ in the Gaza Strip which was bombed by Israeli forces?

Israel Defense Forces said the building housed news agencies, “which the terrorist organization Hamas hides behind and uses as human shields. The terror organization Hamas deliberately places its military assets in the heart of the civilian population in the Gaza Strip. Prior to the attack, the IDF warned the civilians who were in the building and gave them sufficient time to evacuate,” it said.

  16. Turley : “In Washington, there is no greater indication of wrongdoing than the number of people denouncing efforts to investigate it”

Wonderful statement with the edge and precision of a scalpel in a surgeon’s hand.

  17. The MSM and the Dems are getting scared.

The lying to the American public is getting stronger.

Watch the local posters attack Turley (usual deflection) and deny facts.

I used to get irritated at the Lefty games, but I realized that they are mostly dishonest people sitting in their mother’s basements seeking relevance (see Anonymous eb).

      1. We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.
        620 B.C.E. – 564 B.C.E.

Machiavelli did not say, “The ends justify the means.”

The closest his ethical statement to that claim is:

“Men judge more from appearances than from reality.
All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.
Everyone sees your exterior, but few can discern what you have in your heart.”
        Niccolò Machiavelli

        “Bread and circuses”
        (or bread and games);
from Latin: panem et circenses) is a metonymic phrase referring to superficial appeasement.

        What is the issue?

        The Federal (United States) debt:
28.7 trillion and mounting by the second.
