According to an new ABC News/Ipsos poll, almost half of Americans lack trust that the Justice Department will conduct the Hunter Biden investigation in a “fair and nonpartisan manner.” It is the latest indication of the failure of Attorney General Merrick Garland to restore faith in his department. There is ample reason for citizens to have their doubts.
The poll, conducted earlier this week, showed that 48 percent of Americans are not confident in the investigation. Only 32 percent expressed trust in the integrity and independence of the investigation.
We have previously discussed the failure of leadership at both the Justice Department and the FBI. Attorney General Garland has repeatedly failed to take actions that could address the growing distrust of his department.
The Hunter Biden matter has highlighted Garland’s utter failure at Justice. After ignoring calls from some of us for the need of a special counsel for years, Garland inexplicably appointed, David Weiss, the very same prosecutor who has been accused of running a fixed investigation by whistleblowers and signing off on a sweetheart deal that collapsed in court in a matter of minutes.
The Justice Department is now less trusted by the public than it was under his predecessor, Bill Barr. During Barr’s tenure, Pew found that 54 percent of the public viewed the department favorably, and 70 percent had a favorable view of the FBI. Under Garland, the department’s favorability had declined to 49 percent as of March, before many of the recent failures. The FBI’s favorability has fallen by 18 points to just 52 percent.
Garland’s failure of leadership has undermined key cases. A Harvard-Harris poll this summer showed that 55 percent of the public view the Trump indictment as “politically motivated,” and 56 percent believe that it constitutes election interference.
In making this appointment, Garland seemed to be virtually taunting the public while, again, repeating his Department’s motto as a mantra.
What is particularly glaring is that this widely ridiculed move was done in direct violation of the regulation. Section 600.3 requires an appointment from outside the Justice Department for obvious reasons. While John Durham also came from within the department, he was retiring from the department at the time of his appointment.
More importantly, Garland appointed a prosecutor who has been accused of conflicts of interest and false statements — the very antithesis of a special counsel who is supposed to have “a reputation for integrity and impartial decision-making.”
The appointment flips the regulation on its head and insulates a controversial prosecutor from congressional inquiries while undermining public trust in the investigation.
This is not to say that Weiss is indeed compromised or complicit. We have not heard from him. However, the regulation is designed to avoid such questions or doubts with the appointment of someone without prior history or lingering allegations.
The result of this failure of leadership is that Garland has again lost roughly half of the country and is playing to the same roughly 30 percent that is a constant base for the Administration. By failing to show the strength and leadership at this moment, Garland has deepened the institutional crisis for the Justice Department.

“What is particularly glaring is that this widely ridiculed move was done in direct violation of the regulation. Section 600.3 requires an appointment from outside the Justice Department for obvious reasons.”
Does anyone still wonder why DA Fani Willis rushed to announce the Georgia indictment so late on a Monday night, with the clerk making serious errors including publicly posting the names of the jurors?
Newt Gingrich said his source told him that Fani Willis got a call from “Washington” telling her she needed to “indict Trump on Monday.” She said she could not do it that soon as the GJ was not even back yet, and then she was told in no uncertain terms: do it on Monday. Which is why it was so sloppily and illegally done at nearly midnight. She was directed by “Washington” and she obeyed the command.
They had to divert the scrutiny of Garland’s appointment of Weiss.
Trump’s indictment then sucked up the news cycle.
Washington is a sewer.
“with the clerk making serious errors including publicly posting the names of the jurors”
That’s not an error. It’s required by GA law.
“She was directed by “Washington” and she obeyed the command.”
You’re a conspiracy theorist.
Not a “theorist.”
This is actual conspiracy.
And it is so rich that they go ahead and charge Trump with “racketeering” when that is exactly what Biden has been doing. He and his family have been running an organized crime syndicate for decades. And they’ve gotten away with it….until now.
The investigators have nearly 200 Suspicious banking Activity Reports, plus offshore bank records, and even multiple pseudonyms used by Joe to email with Hunter….
There is actual and ample “evidence” for them to lock down a RICO indictment of Biden, Inc.
There is ample evidence to impeach Biden for bribery.
But all of the evidence of Biden, Inc’s racketeering, wire fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, and bribery is being ignored by the fake news media in order to divert attention to bogus trumped up “racketeering” charges against Trump.
Biden’s impeachment and spectacular downfall is coming. Wait for it….
We see how the public has been so propagandized, lied to, misinformed and disinformed BY the lying Democrats all over the lying fake news media. All the public hears are soundbites saying, “Trump has been indicted 50 gazillion times!”
So he must be guilty…. of something….anything, right?….because these prosecutors would not indict someone that many times if he has not committed serious crimes!!!
Oh, but they do. It’s called dirty prosecutors playing dirty politics.
And then the fake news lies to and misinforms the public in order to protect Biden.
When it is Joe Biden who is the actual criminal.
Biden impeachment is coming. Wait for it.
If true, it seems that the RICO charges should be lodged against individuals in the Biden administration – how ironic!
I wonder if they surveyed the American people and asked whether the constant Jordan/Comer investigations into everything Hunter were being conducted in a fair and impartial manner.
I cannot imagine anyone who is being honest could contend as much.
If they present evidence, which so far it seems to be, how is that unfair? From what I have seen, 50% of the American public is woefully uninformed or so strongly partisan they can’t accept anything even with evidence. As far as Hunter is concerned, if the DOJ investigations had been done timely and fully, there would be no congressional investigation now. Then there is the quality reporting of the mainstream media…. 🤢
What exactly is “unfair” about it?
>”I wonder if they surveyed the American people and asked whether the constant Jordan/Comer investigations into everything Hunter were being conducted in a fair and impartial manner.”
Better late than never. Evidently, the Biden ‘brand’ was established circa 1972. .. when Hunter was still in swaddling cloths.
Jordan/Comer would not be my first choice the lead the investigations but, short of impeachment, someone’s got to do it.
Of course, the U.S. government, under both Trump and Biden, has been investigating Trump since 2016. With the latest sweeping ‘shock and awe’ indictments they’ve, literally, left no stone unturned. Espionage, treason, RICO and running his mouth on social media .. . even Turley is running out of torts.
*I wonder if they surveyed the American people and asked whether the constant investigations/indictments into everything Trump were being conducted in a fair and impartial manner.
The Congressional investigations have been much more transparent than the purported DOJ investigation. For example, the testimony of the IRS whistleblowers was televised. Interested citizens were able to hear them state under oath that the DOJ thwarted their efforts to advance the investigation conducted by the IRS. Now that David Weiss has been appointed SC after the questionable plea deal did not withstand judicial scrutiny, Weiss has apparently reactivated the investigation. Based on that maneuver, we can expect him to decline to appeal before Congress and state that he cannot comment on an ongoing investigation. His appointment as SC by Garland will serve to shield his prior actions from Congressional scrutiny – at least for now. How convenient. Unlike the five-year DOJ investigation, the Congressional investigation has shined a light on wrongdoing. And, let’s not forget that the DOJ is reported to have allowed the statute of limitations to expire for two tax years in which HB allegedly received large sums of money. If true, an investigation into those years could have resulted in allegations of tax fraud and quite possibly money laundering.
Let’s analyze what you said, guest c., Hunter Biden should have been convicted and serving his time right now if the DOJ did its job and didn’t let the statute of limitations set him free. Joe Biden would be under investigation. Since the DOJ didn’t do its job and the FBI hid things while Weiss let the SOL expire, don’t you think an investigation is appropriate? Unlike what we saw before, a Hollywood-type production where tapes were used instead of live testimony, the present investigation was live.
Are the committees not investigating all the leads? Under J6 we saw that certain people were excluded from the committee meetings even though at least one wanted to testify. Why didn’t J6 want to hear from Sund, the head of the Capitol Police, the sergeant at arms, and Nancy Pelosi? Those were the top three in the command structure. Don’t you think that is odd?
What you are seeing now is a real investigation. Isn’t that what you always wanted or did you want a J6 Hollywood performance where scripts were written for public consumption?
“State Department officials forwarded the information to the vice president’s office, where Biden aide Colin Kahl (now President Biden’s Undersecretrary of Defense for Policy) sent it to the private email account robinware456@gmail.com. It wasn’t just any private account. It was one of three pseudonym accounts used by Joe Biden.
Soon after the then-vice president would forward the information to his globetrotting son Hunter Biden with the subject line “Fwd: Mr. O’Connor Being Released from Detention today.”

This is the kind of corruption Trump has been up against. They are the ones subverting our democracy, not Trump.
They are undermining public trust and they do not care. Party and power above ALL.
They began plotting & planning the subversion and destruction of Trump’s presidency before he was even sworn in.
And people wonder why Trump says what he says the way he says it sometimes?
As he explains, he has to smack these people down hard, because they are ruthlessly dishonest, unethical people who will lie, break any laws, and do whatever it takes to retain their hold on power. And Trump is an existential threat to the ‘racket’ they’ve got going, so he must be destroyed, never to rise to power again. These people will do whatever it takes to stop Trump. That is clear.
Spot on! The real conspiracy is that the Justice Department is actively coordinating its efforts with those of the state prosecutors in an effort to prevent DJT from running for election against JRB.
I think a good chunk of Americans really have no idea what the Hunter Biden investigation is all about. They just know MTG is displaying naked pictures of Hunter at a Congressional hearing and think Republicans are focused on things they do not care about at all. Outside of right wing media (including this blog), no one really cares what Hunter did as he is not running for President and the prior President and his family made much more money from foreign sources, including those who got favorable foreign policy treatment from the former guy.
You could not be more wrong.
We all knew about Hunter and his naked pictures long ago. That, while displaying his more interesting side, is not what we care about.
What we care about is the level of corruption he was involved in and to what degree Joe was.
And right wing? Really? Anything to the slight right of Mao and you scream right wing. It has lost its meaning. You would think JKF was right wing.
You rock, Upstate!
Yep, that’s the “Democrat narrative” and you’re believing it. Well done. Their national brainwashing effort is nearly complete.
The issues uncovered by the house investigation are clearly not limited to Hunter Biden but implicate the entire Biden family with their “business” dealings. And that “business” would have zero value but for Joe Biden and the power of his office. What is disappointing to see is that by the time we all see that the scope of issues raised by the House investigation is clearly much broader than Joe’s son, the Attorney General finally moves but in a too little and too late fashion. He did not clearly define the SC scope to include the entire Biden family and associates and by the time we recognized that attorney Weiss was either in-cahoots with the Bidens or incompetent the Attorney General gives him SC status.
“. . . the Hunter Biden investigation . . .”
His father (the “Big Guy”) used him as the bagman for an international bribery scheme. What kind of “loving father” does that to a drug-addled son? And what kind of loving father or grandfather funnels that bribery money to his children and grandchildren?
We truly lost confidence (although we weren’t aware at the time of its implications) in our government during the Korean War. We knew that was none of our business and we let the media do two things to us as a society. First, we were convinced of the need to stop communism (which we did not accomplish either there or in Viet Nam through military intervention, and secondly – we should really understand how Joe McCarthy (who was, assuredly, the wrong messenger but with the right message) was shut down by our communist sympathizing media/education industries with the assistance of our left-leaning bureaucracies; thus enabling our culture to be silently and continuously infiltrated to the point, now, where we have become aware just to what extent we are infected with people so conditioned to despise this very nation that they truly believe that we need to “fundamentally transform” it into a large socialist nanny state and so many of our citizens are so miseducated as to not understand the implications of this.
@whimsicalmama
Very well stated. IMO, it was still precarious and could have gone either way until the internet generation and all that accompanied that time in general came along. Now it’s generationally calcified and seemingly intractable. It really could be a possibility we have another revolutionary conflict in the West, as modern day socialists/communists simply and vehemently do. not. want. the responsibility of freedom or autonomy – they understand nothing and are too insulated by privilege.
I do hope that there are enough who understand and support the Ancient Greek concept of individual rights and the rule of law as has been handed down through many iterations that resulted in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. The only thing that such thinking individuals have going for them at this time is the inconsistent and usually lethal/fatal outcome of socialism-communism and that it will destroy itself before the last flicker of Western Culture dies out via our media/educational industries.
In other news, 58% of registered voters disapprove of Biden’s Bidenomics, to include 1 in 3 Democrats.

At last count, Vlad holds $100 billion in US dollars. If he just dumped them–say, right before a US election–it would create havoc for the dollar and inflation, but he would also take a bath on that exchange. He would have to be pretty peed off to do something like that.
Gosh, I wonder what would make him that mad??
Diogenes,
While true, that is not what concerns me.
What concerns me is in 2001 the USD was held at 73% of world currency reserves.
By 2020 it was down to 55%.
In 2022 it took a sharp decline of 19% to 47% of world currency reserves. Guess what happened in 2022.
If that trend continues, it will be down to 30% by 2024.
Is it a coordinated effort by our enemies? I dont think so. Looking at all those who have applied for the BRICS+ or at least some kind of MOU/MOA, they all see the US on the decline and are trying to position themselves to get the least amount of crap on them when it goes splat.
What happens when all those dollars flow back to the US? I have read various comparisons to Rome and a debased currency. But can we apply that to a modern day fiat currency, digital currency wire transfers etc.? This is where I think they might try to mandate a CBDC. And I think it will fail.
Invest in chickens and PMs.
What happens if we print too much money? Say a gallon of gas is $25, a gallon of milk is $30. A loaf of bread is $20. I can’t picture an American population being very happy. Oh, stupid me, it’s Trumps fault.
Independent Bob,
Actually, I think that is a corner the Fed painted themselves into.
Not sure if you are being sarc or not, but I could see those prices come to pass. We saw what happens when the government injects too much money into the economy, i.e. The America Recovery Act.
“What happens if we print too much money? ”
You get the last stages of Weimar Germany — and possibly what came next.
All excellent points, Upstate.
In additional news, buying second hand cloths in the US went from 49% in 2019, up to 60% in 2023.
The US is, rightfully so, cracking down on EV batteries made by Chinese Uyghur slave labor. Get ready to pay more for those EVs! Also included, solar panels and the minerals, materials that go into them.
The democrats have tried to block all mining for decades, so I thank them.
In making this appointment, Garland seemed to be virtually taunting the public . . .
You can leave out the “seemed” part: that’s exactly what he was doing. The corruption is the message. It’s being wielded openly as a way of exercising power.
“Garland seemed to be virtually taunting the public . . .” (JT)
Garland, and the rest of the Left, are like modern “shoplifters.” The old ones stole stealthily, hiding goods under a coat, sneaking out to avoid detection. The modern mobs casually stroll into a store, grab everything in sight — in plain sight, as if to announce: See what we can get away with. What are you going to do about it?
When you start lying on affidavits for FISA warrants, all things are possible. Crooked cops and unethical prosecutors are essential elements for the Woke Left.
All valid arguments JT, but the Democrats stopped worrying about optics or “half the country” a long time ago. Once you have the mainstream media covering for you, you can get away with just about anything — in broad daylight.
If you control the media, you control information.
* if I had to choose between “a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter” ~ Thomas Jefferson
“The result of this failure of leadership is that Garland has again lost roughly half of the country…”
Professor Turley, you seem surprised? Why? Garland is there to protect the President and the President’s family. His loyalties are not to the country. This administration is corrupt and sells bit and pieces of America to our enemies.
Professor, you already know this is true.
Dear Prof Turley,
Evidently, even Hunter Biden, and his legal team, have no confidence in Garland’s DoJ. Hunter was home free with a ‘get out of jail’ card, but Hunter’s Team had no confidence the DoJ would, or could, provide ongoing ‘immunity’ from further malefactions that may, or may not, come to light.
*I have heard That guilty creatures sitting at a play Have by the very cunning of the scene Been struck so to the soul that presently They have proclaim’d their malefactions…

It would be interesting to know the reason why anyone (much less 32%) of respondents thought the Hunter Biden investigation was conducted with, “ integrity and independence.”
It seems to me the 30% who have confidence in Garland says more about the sad state of this country than the 50% who dont. And of course there is the 20% that dont have a clue what you’re talking about. Of course, these are the same people who rail about “Trumpists” who stand by their man regardless.
I think the whole “of course Durham was leaving when he was appointed” is a tad apologist, but this is what bothers me….”a reputation for integrity and impartial decision-making.”…Weiss’ reputation is now anything but.
As for rubbing our noses in it, that is the stuff this admin is made of. Just look at
– the way Joe parades his dead beat, drug addicted, scumbag son around with him, even in front of foreign dignitaries.
-KJP telling reporters thousands of times “i’m just not gonna speak to that”
-KJP telling America that the story isnt goijg to change, as she changes the story
-Biden telling Americans that they dont know what they are talking about and Bribenomics is working.
-the secret service cant figure who brought cocaine into the most secure building on the planet
-joe turning his back and walking away when reporter ask him questions
-the list goes on
This admin promised to be the most transparent ever. Instead they are the most audacious.
Then, again, the audacity is somewhat understandable, in the friendly confines of a complicit media. Even Peter Doocy, Joe’s thorn in the side, choked when he had the opportunity. instead of asking Joe, the same question he has denied dozens of times, he should have asked him the question that Devon archer conspicuously was not asked. Why did Devon archer come to visit you in the White House in 2014, and what did you talk about for 2 1/2 hours?
Tom, you make some great points but I would also add:
– Nancy Pelosi and Biden himself said he doesn’t have the power to negate student loans, then he wipes out student loans, then the Court strikes it down and HE DOES IT ANYWAY.
-Legal advisors tell Biden he can’t have his agencies put a moratorium on evictions but he does it anyway and the Court strikes it down.
-The entire country wants the border secured but he has allowed 7-10 million illegals in over 2 1/2 years.
-Biden said over and over again that he never spoke with his son about his businesses and now we see what an egregious lie it all was.
-Lastly, talk about thumbing your nose at us…this moronic bragging fool said in public, rather BRAGGED in public, that he got the guy investigating his son’s “business partner” fired.
This guy and his team are the most arrogant bunch to have ever been elected..
I was fully expecting that other commenters would want to add to my list, and you’re more than welcome. The student loan thing might be the best I know it’s illegal, but I will do it anyway and then complain and criticize the supreme court when they shoot it down. You can’t make this stuff up.
A flagrant attempt to buy votes, knowing he would never have to pay for them. It had to be someone else’s idea. That’s way too clever for sleepy Joe.
“I was fully expecting that other commenters . . .”
That is a problem of your own creation.
Recently, you have been degrading the discourse. When I saw the name on the initial comment, I immediately scrolled down. At least for me, it will take a while to believe that you have returned to intellectual comments.
Wow bro, take a chill pill. Should i have used the word “hoped” instead of “expected”?
I can see that you scrolled down but If you bother to read on you will see that i said i welcomed the additions.
Apology accepted.
Tom,
Had dinner with a friend the other week.
She started by complaining she was sick and tired of reading all about the Trump indictments and wish he would keep his mouth shut.
I then ask her what she thought about all the evidence of bribes, shakedowns, selling the family brand.
She had no idea what I was talking about.
She gets her news from Yahoo News.
Upstate, I too have had good friends tell me that they are unaware of some events that we here are all familiar with and follow. The way the media spikes stories against Democrats is truly the story of our age, and the ruination of our ability to govern ourselves.
Keep up the good work, your comments are always on point, cogent and very welcome.
HullBobby,
Thank you and likewise.
I do find it very interesting how a certain segment of commenters here on the good professor’s blog can engage in some very interesting conversation, even going OT.
Then there is the other segment that is either willingly ignorant like my friend, or live in a alternative reality.
It does give insight in to their mentality.
Upstate, it is hard to debate issues with people that won’t accept or acknowledge empirical evidence. How many times have you seen a liberal Democrat or media person say “there is not one ounce of evidence linking Joe Biden to his son’s corruption or “businesses”? It is maddening to try to argue with people that are either so obtuse as to be unable to listen, learn and change or are so partisan that they don’t care if their side is in bed with the Chinese and are bought off by Ukrainians and even Russians.
Hullbobby
Although it appears that our friend Sam doesnt get it, that is precisely why i spent 3 solid days in front of my computer. To demonstrate that if they dont want to accept the unassailable facts, they too can be effectively silenced by protest. They claim to want discourse, but there is no discourse when someone covers their ears and eyes and say “lalalalalala”.
When i gave them lalalalalala back, they showed their true colors.
Upstate, I’m shocked! Yahoo News????? I’ve always wondered who actually reads that trash in any serious way.
How did you finish dinner without losing your lunch? Does she fit any of the profiles? Gender studies? Purple hair? Septum piercing? Bedbugs? I’m serious. Please, tell us! Someday, anthropologists will thank you. Enquiring minds want to know!!
Diogenes,
Actually she is white, college educated, successful, retired military officer. Her POV would put her mostly in the conservative camp.
Unfortunately, until having discussions about politics and current events, she was largely uninformed.
Now, she is misinformed.
By asking her these questions and pointing out other news we are slowly opening her up to alt and independent media.
Raging against Garland goes nowhere. The House should start impeachment inquiries for Biden, Garland, Weiss and Mayorkas. There is no other way to get a thorough inquiry.
For Biden, the charges to investigate should be bribery/extortion/influence peddling and abuse of power while VP and abuse of power while P. The Democrats charged Trump with abuse of power regarding Ukraine, so there now is precedent for that.
For Garland they should investigate obstruction and lying to Congress. For Weiss, obstruction and lying to Congress (in his letters). For Mayorkas, dereliction of duty and lying to Congress.
According to you, what are the lies?
According to you, how is it not obstruction?
What is the referent of “it” in your sentence?
Anonymous, thanks for asking. For one, Garland naming a special counsel who, as a federal prosecutor, already stonewalled major charges past the statute of limitations. That “it.”
Keep asking. We can give you more.
Yeah, I’d be very surprised if THAT meets the legal definition of obstruction.
Friend, since when do legal definitions matter? The only definitions that matter now is what will get your political opponents murdered in prison.
Someday, maybe we’ll get to indict you. Enjoy the process!!!
A secure southern border.
There is no border crisis.
Human trafficking is not happening on the southern border.
The cartels are not in control of the southern border.
There is no fentanyl crisis in the US, pouring through the cartel controlled, secure southern border.
…and smeagol disappears
Or maybe he’ll come back with “you’re a conspiracy theorist” or “thats all been debunked”
I don’t recall Garland, Weiss, or Mayorkas saying any of that. Maybe I missed it.
The border is as secure (or unsecure) as is was in the Trump Admin, and the Biden Admin is actually doing a better job than the Trump Admin in capturing fentanyl crossing the border.
If you really believe any of that, you truly are stupid.
He does. And he is.
They’re not mutually exclusive.
Because all he has to do is cover his eyes back up.
Since Biden hasnt personally captured jack sh!t, why dont smeagol tell us which biden policy explains the “better job” of catching fentynal at the border?
Border Patrol saw a roughly 33% increase in illegal migrant encounters between June, when there were 99,539 illegal encounters, and July, when there were 132,652 such encounters, according to the CBP data.
But it’s the ones who aren’t encountered who determine the level of insecurity.
Garland and Weiss both lied about Weiss having authority to charge Hunter anywhere. Mayorkas lied about having control of the border under a specific definition that was read to him before he answered.
What’s the basis for claiming that Garland’s and Weiss’s statement was false?
Agreed re: “operational control” of the border. That said, it’s an unrealistic definition that I doubt has ever been met.
The testimony of the whistleblower, which appears based on fact. That’s what an inquiry would check.
So you have conflicting statements, but you don’t know whose statement was false, yet you were insisting that Garland and Weiss lied.
Upstate writes, “we are slowly opening her up to alt and independent media.”
Please, hurry, Upstate. If military retirees are listening to Yahoo, the nation is gelded.
Upstate, why don’t you invite her to the blog?
I should add, tell her who Turley is and explain he is on the left and doesn’t like Trump
A capital idea, Alan!
Spot on…Thank you..!! The weaponization of the Justice System has become so blatantly obvious, protecting or ignoring real criminals while focusing on trying to make criminals out of political opponents.. creating a political civil war in this country.. e.g., anyone who has heard the tape of Mark Meadow’s phone call to GA for which he was indicted can be convinced of this in a heartbeat…like Trump’s call, his tone was respectful in asking for the opportunity to discuss what Pres. Trump et al felt were unresolved issues re: the contested votes in a State where the margin was so slim…as Alan Dershowitz said, the Gore ‘team’ of which he was a part, went full blast at FL with the same determination and no one was indicted…
So what does all this teach our young generations and even the general population of adults? What It teaches is, is the now glaring facts of no matter what laws are on the books if someone in government, departments working for the government , even our court justices if they do not like or respect the laws they can ignore.
“ as Alan Dershowitz said, the Gore ‘team’ of which he was a part, went full blast at FL with the same determination and no one was indicted…”
Nobody was indicted because the Supreme Court intervened. They stopped the recount and Gore conceded. The comparison is not remotely the same.
The SC was reluctant to take the case but the Fl SC putzed around, The SC sent it back to the Fl SC and they did the same. I guess the time clock ran out.
However, the good news is that when a Democrat supporting newspaper went over the data post election, they found Bush rightfully won.
If in the future our free nation still exists historians might find that Trump won the election. For sure they will find irregularities so numerous that I believe they will conclude that Trump would have won decisively without the election irregularities.
Any Democrat who votes in 2024 for Joe Biden is complicit — that was one of the big ‘words’ associated with the 2016 election of Donald Trump. Garland is Biden’s man —
“By failing to show the strength and leadership at this moment, Garland has deepened the institutional crisis for the Justice Department.”
Well, whaddaya going to do about it Professor? Write some more of your little pieces? Whaddaya
—DOJ answer to Turley going to do about it?”
Where’s all the resignations from all the honest, integrity filled lawyers at DOJ? Where’s the ‘Anonymous” written pieces iin the New York TIMES by the “high ranking” members of DOJ, blasting the impropriety, follwed by a book deal?
When politics are not involved, the DOJ and FBI are trustworthy, but not otherwise. They’re like the New York Times in that regard. Garland is the sad sack of administration in which everything, in my view, is being run out of the White House. The Hunter Biden affair, as it might be called, echoes A.J. Lielbling’s description of Chicago: In most places, the government is the front for the mob. In Chicago, the mob is the front for the government.
Except that politics has infected everything – both in DC and certainly at the New York Times. Their reviews of books, plays, films – all filtered through a political lens.
Ellen, with ESPN and the networks you can also add sports to everything INFECTED by LIBERAL politics.
Oh yeah, throw in schools down to the elementary level.
Essentially, then, the FBI is not to be trusted, period. For decades their main modus operandi has been to infiltrate various marginal groups, zealously promote the commission of crimes, then arrest those so foolish as to be persuaded.
Manufacturing a reason for their perpetuation, as all bureaucracies end up with as top priority.
I used to say there should be a law that every bureau’s appointed head should have to solemnly swear to work tirelessly in partnership with state and local resources to eliminate his/her department from the federal government entirely.
The FBI is still withholding the “manifesto” and other documents of the trans school shooter. They are utterly corrupt.
That, yes, and the highly-elite-trained Secret Service can’t figure out who left a bag of cocaine in the securest, most camera-encrusted building on the planet. Does anyone on earth really believe that?
