“I Gave Up Shame Years Ago”: Clinton Denounces Trump for Doing What She Did in 2016

I gave up shame years ago.” Those words from actor John Lithgow appear to have been taken to heart by Hillary Clinton who has severed any sense of self-awareness or shame in her public comments. Lithgow, who played Bill Clinton in Broadway production of Hillary and Clinton, appears to have inspired the subject of his play. In a recent interview, Hillary Clinton heralded the prosecution of former president Donald Trump in Manhattan as “election interference” by keeping “relevant information” from voters before an election. For those of us who criticized Clinton for the funding of the infamous Steele dossier, it was a perfectly otherworldly moment.

In the interview, Clinton went after the Supreme Court for delaying a trial of Trump despite the push by Special Counsel Jack Smith for a verdict before the election. She then left many in disbelief with the following statement:

“And the one going on now currently in New York is really about election interference. It is about trying to prevent the people of our country from having relevant information that may have influenced how they could have voted in 2016 or whether they would have voted.”

(MSNBC/via YouTube)

In the same election, it was Hillary Clinton’s campaign that lied about funding the Steele dossier and then hiding the funding as a legal expense through then Clinton General Counsel Marc Elias.

The Clinton campaign staff has never been known for transparency. Buried in the detailed account is a  footnote stating that Elias “declined to be voluntarily interviewed by the Office.” Likewise, John Durham noted that “no one at Fusion GPS … would agree to voluntarily speak with the Office” while both the DNC and Clinton campaign invoked privileges to refuse to answer certain questions.

Elias, his former partner Michael Sussmann, and the campaign were later found involved in not just spreading the false claims from the Steele dossier but other false stories like the Alfa Bank conspiracy claim.

It was Elias who managed the legal budget for the campaign. We now know that the campaign hid the funding of the Steele dossier as a legal expense.

New York Times reporter Ken Vogel said that Elias denied involvement in the anti-Trump dossier. When Vogel tried to report the story, he said, Elias “pushed back vigorously, saying ‘You (or your sources) are wrong.’” Times reporter Maggie Haberman declared, “Folks involved in funding this lied about it, and with sanctimony, for a year.”

Elias was also seated next to John Podesta, Clinton’s campaign chairman, when he was asked about the role of the campaign, he denied categorically any contractual agreement with Fusion GPS. Even assuming that Podesta was kept in the dark, the Durham Report clearly shows that Elias knew and played an active role in pushing this effort.

Elias is now ironically advising Democratic campaigns on election ethics and running a group to “defend democracy.” He is still counsel to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) headed by Rep. Suzan Kay DelBene, D-Wash. Elias was later severed by the Democratic National Committee from further representation and has been previously sanctioned in federal court in other litigation.

Notably, the Federal Election Commission sanctioned the Clinton campaign for hiding the funding as a legal expense. The Clinton campaign litigated the issue and insisted that the term is broadly used to cover a wide array of payments through counsel. That is precisely what the Trump team is arguing in the Manhattan case.

Lying to the media and hiding the funding was a conscious effort to hide “relevant information that may have influenced” voters. With the help of the media, these false stories were spread throughout the country and later were used to start the Russian collusion investigation.

Famous philosopher and mathematician Blaise Pascal once declared that “the only shame is to have none.” Hillary has finally achieved that ignoble status. She appears now to have lost even the capacity for shame.

  1. Lest we should forget, Hillary Rodham was part of the legal team pursuing Dick Nixon over the Watergate break-in and cover-up. Some of her questionable activities at that time have been documented by credible others. She’ll never get to see Heaven, if you believe in such things.

    1. “She’ll never get to see Heaven, if you believe in such things.”

In her case I would like to believe in Hell.

  2. She is the scum of the earth. Imagine being surprised by anything this craven self-promoter says or does. Promise that you’ll be the example to others in relegating her and press releases about her to the boneyard of history.

  3. There is no such thing as AI. There are only computer programs of greater complexity.

  4. When I went for a drive through the country, everything looked fine. The sky, the clouds, the trees, etc.
I saw it with my own eyes.

  5. People make me miserable all the time so I don’t care if they experience any misery themselves.

  6. Turley’s comment section has reached critical mass in terms of being taken over by half-baked cliques and fully-baked BS.

    1. Turley really doesn’t care. I doubt that he actually writes this nonsense.
He is a fully paid stooge of Fox. They write this stuff and feed it to him and it keeps the MAGA morons happy.

Turley has not monetized this blog, so why is he doing it?

The answer is that he is not doing it. Fox puts this stuff out under his name and he collects a paycheck.

      1. Slow day at the bath house, Einstein? Turley is a law professor at Columbia, and a nationally recognized legal scholar who has written extensively in areas ranging from constitutional law to legal theory to tort law. You think he needs money from Fox? The ‘moron’ is the leftist tool you see in the mirror. People who are intelligent and have good jobs seem to trigger you adolescent left wingers. Maybe because highest level of employment is ‘barista’ at Starbucks?

        1. ***You think he needs money from Fox?***

          He absolutely needs the money.
The top of the pay scale for a full professor at GWU Law School is around $210,000. After tax that is about $166,000 a year. That is almost poverty level pay in DC.

Clarence Thomas makes $268,000 and he was recently complaining that he can barely make ends meet. He said the job is hardly worth doing for the pay he gets. That is why he has been on the take from his wealthy billionaire “friends”.

Turley makes less than that and he has 4 kids in college. One of them just started medical school last year.

He needs all the money he can get. Why do you think he shows up on Fox every 5 minutes.

He has a fat contract with them that includes this bogus blog. He doesn’t write this stuff. He is just a shill for Fox.

His GWU appointment just provides pocket money.

      2. Another cowardly Anonymous Soviet Democrat Marxist Party Apparatchik comes straight here from CNN to post BBBBUUUTTTT…. MUH FOX! Cosplaying that they aren’t aware that Professor Turley also appears in some of their favorite Mainstream Media Marxist publications… in its commie world, Turley and his opinions supposedly only seen on Fox. Thus, the magical Soviet Democrat incantation “Fox”: began by Harry Reid at the same time he claimed Mitt Romney hadn’t paid taxes in a decade.

So here we have another cowardly Anonymous Soviet Democrat who didn’t give up shame – its parents never taught it to feel remorse or shame for anything it does, no matter how vile they are as they hide in the shadows of anonymity.

But it does know fear – which is why these feckless cowards post under the username ‘Anonymous’.

    2. …where half-baked and fully-baked conflicts with what you’re told you believe by narrative amplifying conglomerate “news” repeaters.

If you don’t follow the “news” you’re uninformed.

If you do follow the “news” you’re misinformed.

  7. I have known whores with more character and common human decency than Hillary appears to me to have.

I fully understand Bill’s wandering, lusty ways.

      1. If she acquired a few helpings of decency she might almost qualify as a pimple on a good whore’s butt.

          1. I think the vulgarity is Hillary.

I was merely using an expression my great aunt M used to use for one of her husbands whom she didn’t like. Hillary is much worse than that alcohol pickled man; she is drenched in lies and blood.

  8. Jonathan:
Can we all agree Dennis is a moron and the numerous entities flip flopping around on here are most probably one and same disruptive idiot. Absurdity at its finest, phishing, baiting hyperbole. Chit show of drivel.

    1. Anon, have you considered the possibility that it isn’t human at all but an ancient computer running a clunky AS [Artificial Stupidity] program? I have sometimes wondered.

  9. Jonathan: You are probably starting to regret bringing up the “shame years” of HRC. That’s because the “shame” of DJT far exceeds anything HRC was engaged in. Here’s another data point that serves as an illustration.

DJT has continued to complain that his Manhattan criminal is preventing him from campaigning. So what did he do on his day off from trial on Wednesday? Did he campaign? Nope. He spent the day at Mar-a-Lago hosting another party for his “My Mug Shot” editions of his NFT trading cards. He addressed his party of sycophants and promised that those who buy about $4,652 worth of the cards, they will be entitled to a ticket to a gala dinner with DJT. When the dinner will take place is yet to be determined. DJT knows no “shame” when it comes to grifting!

Even when on the campaign trail, that is more infrequent these days, DJT has nothing to brag about. Can he brag about all the former officials of his administration who support his 2024 campaign? Hardly, he can’t name one who supports his campaign. In fact, over 30 former DJT administration officials say they won’t support him. These include Mike Pence, Dan Coats, Mark Esper, Nikki Haley, John Kelly, John Bolton, etc. Even former president George W. Bush won’t support him! And this list doesn’t include over 40 current and former GOP senators and Congress people–plus GOP governors and a host of GOP public figures and orgs.

The latest defection is former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan. Yesterday, Duncan minced no words in a statement: “The healing of the Republican party cannot begin with Trump as president–and that’s aside from the untold damage that potentially awaits our country this November. I am voting for a decent person {Biden] I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass”. Other GOP former officials say they will also vote for Biden instead of DJT.

No wonder DJT really doesn’t like the campaign trail these days. He has nothing to brag about when so many of his former officials refuse to support him. Oh, well, there’s always Mar-a-Lago where it’s sunny every day and he is surrounded by a small coterie of sycophants. When he comes into the Mar-a-Lago dining room they all shout “Mr. President” and “U-S-A, U-S-A”! DJT likes the attention he can’t find elsewhere!

DJT, when he was president, liked to refer to his Florida retreat as the “Winter Palace”. Czar Nicolas II also had his Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. That ended in 1917 when the Bolsheviks stormed the Palace and killed the Czar and his family. That won’t happen at Mar-a-Lago. But it is a reminder that when you isolate yourself from the people and depend only on the support of a small number of sycophants all sorts of bad things can happen!

    1. Dennis – Trump does not insulate himself from the American people. In 2016, no one campaigned more broadly or intensely than he did. He campaigned in Grand Rapids, Michigan on the morning of the election! Hillary was nowhere to be seen. As for 2020, Biden remained in his basement the whole way.

      1. Edward: What DJT did in 2016 has no relevance to 2024. What has he being doing on all his days off from court in Manhattan? Playing golf or hosting grifting parties at Mar-a-Lago. If Biden “remained in his basement” all of 2020 how did he manage to win the election?

    2. Dennis,
Your world is crumbling and there is nothing you can do.

Al that Democrats needed to do in 2021 to secure power near permanently was to “not F#$K up”.

But everything you have touched has turned to schiff.

You F#$Ked up afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Ukraine, and now Israel.
You F#$ked up covid, the economy, the border.
The Fed is once again talking about raising interest rates.
The economy has been poor for a long time, and now it appears to be headed into recession – and the Fed thinks it needs to raise interest rates because even though we are headed into a recession we STILL have not gotten control of inflation.

You have a mess at the southern border.
And your lawfare against Trump is blowing up in your face.

You tell us all that Biden is not a demented old fool – fine, then he is the most incompetent president in US history, and he should be indicted for mishandling classified documents as Senator and VP.

You rant because Trump did a fundraiser – guess what that is part of political campaigns.
Regardless, Trump is spending 4 days a week trapped in a Manhattan courtroom for this star chamber trial
that was nonsense from the start and gets worse for Democrats by the day.

I have no idea what a Manhattan Jury will do – but it certainly looks like you lost the jury that matters – the people.

You say Trump is losing support ? Bill Barr who has been ranting about Trump since before J6, has publicly stated repeatedly on YOUR left wing nut MSM that no matter how bad Trump is – this country can not survive more Biden.

You say Republicans are deffecting – listing a bunch of NeoCon’s – You do know that NeoCon just means democrats who left the Democratic party because of the weak national security policies of the Democratic party.

More and more democrats have become the party of the elites, of the wealthy, of the deep state. The party of endless war.

No, I am not surprised that the Bushes and Chenney’s and Bolton’s and the rest of the NeoCon wing of the GOP is moving away from Trump.

I am sure that the GOP will trade them for the working class, for a larger share of minorities – and they are doing so.

Trump republicans are far from perfect, but they are 1000 times better than the democratic party today.

Democrats are hemoraging supporters all over. You rant about Esper and Bush. There is a long list of both politicians, thought leaders, liberals and just ordinary people who are “Walking away”

Some love Trump. Some hate Trump – but whatever their feelings regarding Trump, they are still walking away.

I do not agree with SOME of the MAGA agenda. But whether you like it or not, or I like some of it, it is the platform of the GOP and will be for sometime.

Why ? Because it is far superior to that of democrats. Perfect no. Better than anything Republicans or Democrats have pushed in ages – certainly.

Nor is that specifically about Trump – except to the extent that Trump saw the wave coming and caught the leading edge.
But the policies that make MAGA started with the Tea Party and while today Identified with Trump are NOT something Trump sold to half the country. They are something much of the country wants, and Trump has credibly promised to give it to them.

I would further note you lawfare has backfired – You list a bunch of voices that purportedly are speaking out about Trump.
You named names – but I really am not hearing their voices. There is no consequential Republican Backlash against Trump.

In point of fact many less enamoured of Trump have his back – Why ? Because what you are doing to Trump you can do to anyone and they know it. The only differences is that Trump actually has the ability to fight and even win.

Do you think Ted Cruz could survive the concerted lawfare you have levied against Trump ?
Do you think Joe Biden could ?

There is no politician today that could survive the lawfare onslaught you have released against Trump – over NOTHING.

While it is highly unlikely you are going to pull this election off. Republicans are likely to enter 2025 with the house, the senate and the WH.

But lets say that by some miracle you pull this election off.

So what ? Your incapable of governing. And you have defacated all over your own nest.

    3. Dennis, since this trial has started – 50% of Biden’s campaign activity has been fund raising.
17% of Trump’s has been fund raising.

Despite being in trial Trump has managed as many campaign events as Biden – but Trumps are far larger. Biden is very lucky to get 200 people at a campaign stop. Trump can stop at a Chick-a-filet unannounced and get that many people.

Trump can go to Harlem and get thousands.

      1. Jonathan: I don’t know where you get your numbers. As usual, mostly made up. But here’s some other data points to consider:

—On Wednesday when the court was dark was DJT out campaigning? Nope. He was at Mar-a-Lago hawking his NFTs. What was Biden doing on Wednesday? He was campaigning in Racine, Wisconsin and announcing a new $3.3 billion Microsoft AI data center. He trolled DJT because when he was president DJT also went to Racine to announce with great fanfare a Foxcomm facility. DJT called the new facility the “eight wonder of the world”. Shortly thereafter Foxcomm cancelled the project!

—This weekend Biden is campaigning in the northwest–starting in Seattle. Where is DJT? He is holding a rally today in Wildwood, New Jersey. Hard to figure because DJT lost the Garden State by 16 points to Biden in 2020. What will DJT do tomorrow? Probably play golf before returning to court on Monday.

—The Trump campaign told donors on May 4 that it will now be a “leaner” and “more efficient” operation. Why? Biden has $85.5 million on hand while DJT has about half that amount. And a lot of the money DJT does get is spent on his legal bills.

—And, yes, DJT did make a rare campaign stop after trial at a Harlem bodega on 4/16. But there were not “thousands” there at that event. And remember the video of that event. It showed a Black woman embracing DJT inside the bodega. Turns out the woman was not a customer of the bodega but a DJT campaign staffer! How much time do you think DJT will spend in Harlem between now and November? Harlem is definitely not DJT friendly country!

Either way you look at it DJT’s campaign is stuck in first gear while the Biden campaign is speeding along in fourth gear!

    4. Dennis McIntyre, pathetic Soviet Democrat liar – straight out of the mould of Lyin’ Joe, aka Bribery Biden.

What’s pathetic is that Dennis McIntyre is so pathetic and incompetent that rather than starting his own political blog (something that pre-teen kids regularly do), Dennis hijacks Professor Turley’s blog to post his screeds to defend The Big Guy. In short, Dennis is a thief, stealing space from Turley to post here because otherwise nobody would see the crap he attempts.

Dennis… you are a thief at the same level of moral corruption of the Soviet Democrats you pimp and lie on behalf of: Hillary Clinton and Bribery Biden. And like them, you are a cringeworthy pyschopathic liar…

  10. Trump Asks Oil Executives For A Billion

Trump met with oil executives at Mar-A-Lago last month. His request for $1 billion for his campaign was previously reported by The Washington Post and The New York Times.

The Post reported that Trump said the donations would be a “deal” for oil executives because of the tax cuts and relaxed regulations he would implement, but the person who spoke with The Hill said the discussion was not framed as any sort of quid pro quo.

A second source, who was not in attendance but spoke to people who were, also confirmed Trump made the ask for donations. The source said Trump had previously chided oil executives about not opening up their pocketbooks enough for his campaign.

Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt did not confirm or deny that Trump had requested $1 billion when asked.

    https://thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/4654557-trump-big-oil-1b-campaign-cash-request/
    ………………………………………

The Steele Dossier warned that Trump’s interests are NOT the same as America’s. And this piece confirms that once again.

Here Trump would gut a host of environmental regulations for a billion dollars in campaign donations.

Defenders might say, “But regulations are hurting oil production”, which is surprisingly untrue. Currently the U.S. is producing record volumes of oil; a fact the Biden administration is not that keen to trumpet.

    1. Stooge! That’s why Biden chided the oil companies to reduce prices, and emptied the US oil reserve to keep prices down? Biden has shut down sources of US oil. That is the fact. They don’t boast because their lying will only go so far- You helped them out here though.

      1. Floyd Estovir, show us an article from an established source supporting your argument. See if you can get it from a business journal.

    2. While it appears that oil production has increased, this is because of productivity improvements. The number of producing wells has actually declined during the Biden administration. http://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy.detail.php? ed=61523 Historically, it is the number of producing wells that determines total output.

      1. Correct. Crude Oil Rigs in the United States decreased to 496 in May 10 from 499 in the previous week, marking the lowest reading since mid-November. The Baker Hughes Company issues a report on the number of operating rigs every Friday.

        1. cfromthewoods said: “Crude Oil Rigs in the United States decreased to 496 in May 10 from 499 in the previous week, marking the lowest reading since mid-November. ”

There also may be another factor at work affecting future oil production. I recently read (can’t come up with the link at the moment) that fracking efficiencency and productivity is diminshing over time as the same shale bed deposits are fracked from different surface points. Kind of obvious, but apparently the phenomenon is not factored into most potential oil resource calculations. This would seem to necessitate making more Federal tracts available for oil exploration, just to maintain current produciton rates.

      2. New wells are also absolutely critical to the long term future. There is a large upfront cost in drilling for oil and frequent failure, and significant time between the start of exploration and a productive well.

We can raise production today without drilling more wells, but we will not have enough oil tomorow, and that will drive prices up.

    3. So are the oil oligarchs the same social media oligarchs and the same real estate oligarchs and the same financial market oligarchs? It all goes to the top doesn’t it, they are all the same billionaire fukstiks trying to control the unwashed masses.

    4. “The Steele Dossier warned that Trump’s interests are NOT the same as America’s. And this piece confirms that once again.”
The Steele Dossier was a made up Hoax. You might as well be refering favorably to the chronicles of the elders of zion.

“Here Trump would gut a host of environmental regulations for a billion dollars in campaign donations.”
I can not think of a single Regulation of any kind that I do not support Trump cutting.

You are a joke if you actually think environmental regulations protect the environment.

“Defenders might say, “But regulations are hurting oil production”, which is surprisingly untrue. Currently the U.S. is producing record volumes of oil; a fact the Biden administration is not that keen to trumpet.”

The economy has grown through almost all of the Biden administration. Yet While Biden has Trumpeted that – it has fallen on deaf ears.
Why ? Because Biden and Obama brought European anemic growth to the US.

Yes Oil production has risen – but not nearly as much as it would have, and prices reflect that.

Democrats have not successfully repealed the laws of supply and demand.

When the price of something rises – that means that no matter how much supply is growing – Demand has grown more.
In a free market – i.e. unregulated market, that works itself out and over the long run REAL prices go DOWN.

    5. Will Oil Companies pony up ?

I am not sure that will happen. One of the things that IS true about highly regulated markets is that those businesess that are highly regulated tend to make lots of money and not have to do much to do so. It is consumers not oil companies that get screwed by regulations.

You say oil production is at record levels – Demand has been increasing steadily for well over a century – if Biden actually forced a drop in oil production the country would go into recession.

Production increases are anemic. But oil companies are doing fine – prices have risen. Selling slightly more at higher prices is much better for oil companies than selling alot more at lower prices.

One of the dirty secrets of regulation is that it nearly always serves those being regulated – not consumers.

The most effective regulator there is, is the free market. It constantl;y drives producers to provide what consumers want at the lowest possible cost.

  11. Why can’t that witch just get on her broomstick and fly away. And your little dog too.

  12. I have a theory. Liberal women, in the abstract, like it when effete liberal beta-males share their left-wing ideology. But the reality of their lives is that they are repulsed by such males and instead crave muscular alpha males who know how to take control, protect them and their children, and contend successfully for society’s resources. This imposes on them a double-whammy: (a) cognitive dissonance, and (b) hanging out with males they find repulsive – all of which leads to . . . rage.

How else to explain that, when Hamas brutally rapes and kills women and children, they respond by taking the side of Hamas? In fact, the hysterical screaming terrorist-sympathizers currently occupying college campuses are largely female, with their shrill voices and their silly rhyming angry chants.

    https://www.city-journal.org/article/hysterics-for-hamas

    1. Intriguing – birth rates keep dropping And the rates of anxiety and depression in young single left wing women are 5 times that of men generally.

  13. Jonathan: When it comes to “shame” you should be discussing DJT’s latest event that shows no shame on his part. What’s that about?

Last month DJT hosted a dinner and roundtable at Mar-a-Lago for big oil executives. He asked them for $1 billion for his campaign. Since everything for DJT is “transactional” what did he promise in return to the oil executives from Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, Conoco Phillips and others? If reelected DJT promised from day one he would implement their laundry list of things they want–rolling back all of Biden’s green agenda, from promotion of electric vehicles, restrictions on offshore oil drilling, promotion of solar and wind power. Every part of Biden’s efforts over the last 4 years to control green house emissions would be reversed by DJT in a new term.

DJT’s demand for $1 billion from the oil companies might run into campaign contribution limits. The federal limit is $3,300 per election cycle and $5,000 to a PAC. It’s not clear oil executives, with their pockets bulging with record oil profits, will want to give even DJT $1 billion. Giving that kind of money might raise shareholder concerns not to mention complaints and enforcement actions by the FEC.

Then there is the problem of climate change and the need to get off fossil fuels. But DJT continues to falsely claim climate change is a “hoax”. The reality is quite different. The international scientific consensus is that to create a sustainable planet we need to transition to solar and wind energy. Biden’s policies will create millions of new jobs in these new sectors. . What is remarkable is that big oil is already investing in solar and wind production. Will they be willing to give up on those investments simply to drill for a finite energy source like oil?

DJT’s campaign is built on give aways– to the oil industry and other vested interests. DJT will be beholden to them in a second term. DJT has sold his soul (if he had any) to those willing to pay. For the next four years it will be “Burn baby, burn!” and to hell with the consequences. But the polls show most voters support Biden’s initiatives to promote electric vehicles, solar and wind energy. That means DJT will have a hard time convincing voters in November that his largesse for the oil industry is in THEIR interests.

    1. Then there is the problem of climate change and the need to get off fossil fuels.

Wild eyed greens don’t give a crap about climate change
Want to reduce burning fossil fuels?
Generate all electricity with nuclear. Its been 30+ years. Nuclear plants a being decommissioned, less than 6 have been brought on line.

That proves there are several other motives, that have nothing to do with fossil fuel consumption

      1. What is trumps policy proposal on Nuclear energy?

What did he do for nuclear energy in his term as president?

Oh that’s right, trump did not have a platform in 2020 and all he says now is he wants to kill his opponents and send every non citizen out of the country. Gee, that is a winning platform.

      2. iowan2 said: “Generate all electricity with nuclear. ”

The problem I have with going predominately or solely with nuclear for producing electricity isn’t technical, it’s politcal. It is much easier for government to concoct a plausible justification for near-total control of that means of generation, by hyping the risk factor. I don’t buy it, but the majority of the public would eat it up.

    2. “Climate Change” (manmade) IS a hoax.

There is zero scientific basis in this drive to outlaw carbon (not a pollutant).

Further, solar and wind CANNOT support baseload generation levels because they are not energy sources (solar comes close but cannot be stored industrially).

So you believe in non-solutions to solve a non-problem. Typical leftist dunce.

      1. What kind of utter idiotic moron thinks there is zero scientific basis for CO2 induced climate change?

        1. Perhaps people who believe in transparent science. You know, people who say “Show me the evidence, not your conclusions.” The “climatologists” at East Anglia University destroyed all their so-called records before allowing anybody else to see them. Michael Mann has constantly claimed that his records, although paid for by government money, are his personal property and that he does not have to show them to anybody.

          1. These research centers all have online portals with thousands of scientific papers demonstrating climate change. I realize you think you know. You don’t.

            1. trump supporters are not allowed to read anything that does not glorify their orange god. Thus they (or their kids) will die from diseases other people get vaccines for. This will take time but eventually trump supporters will all kill themselves because they only believe what the orange god tells them to believe. Science be dammed.

              1. Idiotic response.

Climate cultists are brainwashed turds, who will gladly sacrifice themselves and their kids to their earth god.

                1. Brainwashed by scientific inquiry. Go back to your trailer park to watch more Jesus porn.

                  1. No, brainwashed by fraud, concealment of data, and bullying of scientists, coupled with government fraud, which opens some very interesting litigation possibilities.

                    1. LOL, so you saw one report of scientific malfeasance on Fox and suddenly you know it all. Jesus, you climate deniers are stupid. You probably are too illiterate to even attempt reading a paper from one of the above institutes.

                    2. No, I was involved early on in exposing the fraud, and now am looking at what should have occurred some time ago: qui tam suit against the entities listed above under the False Claims Act.

Suing the shit out of you neocommunists seems to be the only way to prevent your ongoing criminal fraud outside of use of force.

            2. As Thomas More says (more or less) in the trial scene in A Man for All Seasons, piling up authorities does not improve their credibility.

              1. “As Thomas More says (more or less) in the trial scene in A Man for All Seasons, piling up authorities does not improve their credibility.”

Exactly. That’s what the Catholic church said about Galileo.

            3. “These research centers all have online portals with thousands of scientific papers demonstrating climate change.”

First – “Change is the universal constant of the universe”

The only people pretending that climate does not or should not change are left wing nuts.
Of course the climate changes all the time. Over short periods of time we call climate change Weather.

The issue is this ludicrously stupid left wing nut belief that humans are a significant factor in climate.

              That is an absurdity.

Total world energy consumption per year is about the same as the amount of energy of an Average huricane in one day.

The entire CAGW thesis is hubris, the beleif that humans are more consequential than we are. From the prespective of the energy of the earth – humans are a gnat.

        2. People who understand science and the scientific process.

          AGW is neither, dumbass.

              1. I highly doubt you’re actually a dumbass. You’re probably just your everyday moron.

                1. You’re proving you are, in fact, a major dumbass.

You still do not know what the scientific process is, like a good leftist.

                  1. No, I’m a conservative. The kind who creates value instead of whining and moaning about politics, and claiming they got left behind. Poor little you. Aren’t you just angry and not going to take it anymore. Take what? LOL. Get up off your lazy Trumptard ass and go do some good for somebody.

                    1. You create no value, and serve no purpose. You are part of the problem, believing you are “doing good” while actually destroying society by taking your abuse like a good little cuck.

LMAO “go do some good for somebody”

Ok, let’s get rid of you. That would be net social positive.

          1. Nah, it’s caused by burning CO2 which has been sequestered in the ground for hundreds of millions of years. Don’t bother looking up sequestered. It refers to the process of capturing and storing atmospheric carbon dioxide.

            1. Incorrect.

There is no causal relationship between atmospheric CO2 and temperature. Disproven, repeatedly.

You would know this if you weren’t brainwashed.

              1. I didn’t know you burn CO2, from my science background I thought it was a byproduct of combustion same as NOx compounds. You would burn hydrocarbons as a fuel source like methane, ethane, propane, butane, etc. gasoline, diesel, you know the benzene ring thing producing the full line of incomplete combustion CO byproduct compounds. The oceans are typically the sink that maintains an equilibrium of the various molecules in the atmosphere. This CO2 BS is a Democrat power play, nothing more. My money is on the trending solar activity that is causing the climate issues, every one of their hypothesized climate disasters has been proven wrong, Al Gore is FOS. Same people that sold us mRNA vaccines for their lab leak virus are the same power crazed cabal. Reality is, there’s just too many people around and they have decided you’re going to die, comfortably of course!

        3. “What kind of utter idiotic moron thinks there is zero scientific basis for CO2 induced climate change?”

LOL — only political numbskulls believe the climate change HOAX. Try checking what actual scientists say:

          1. “What kind of utter idiotic moron thinks there is zero scientific basis for CO2 induced climate change?” I guess that means you, actually posting a piece of garbage like this. Try Google Scholar and see what actual scientists think.

            1. LMAO

              “Google Scholar”

1 step down from Wikipedia in propaganda value.

Try reading the ACTUAL science which states there is no causal link between atmospheric CO2 and temperature, and then discover all of the data fraud required to reach your “conclusion”

              1. If the actual science isn’t coming from a lab from MIT, where’s coming from? Up your ass?

                1. Science is not done in government-grant-run labs, dumbass, it is done in independent ones free from government-dictated predetermined reasoning and outcomes.

If I award you a government grant, with the possibility of future grants depending on your output, to study the impact of global warming on ________, how likely is it that you will produce output which shows that actually, there is no such thing as anthropogenic global warming/climate change/other euphemism, and given that, you probably will not receive any future funding?

                  Nil.

You will maximize the probability of future funding by arriving at your predetermined conclusion that global warming/climate change/scam du jour is indeed a dire threat to _________.

                  You’re stupid, but not irrational.

                    1. Incorrect, but you’re certainly finding your responses from yours

            2. I do not care what “actual scientists” think any more than I care what “public health experts” thought about covid.

I care about what can reproducably be proved.
What scientists Think is not science – it is speculation – just like what you think or what I think.

The scientific method is a process – what includes thinking as an early step.
Science is what is established as reproducibly provable at the end of that process.

On Earth’s surface, the acceleration due to gravity is approximately 9.8 meters per second squared (m/s^2).
It is 9.8m/s^2 on monday and on tuesday, this year and 10,000 years ago.
              That is science.

The Climate Models are running worse than a 2.6 std dev error at forecasting – in real science that means FALSIFIED.

The fact of the matter is that the warmist climate cabal has LESS credibility than the Covid scaremongers.

        4. Heres a simple test.

Name the proccess that disproves the theory.

A definition of a theory, is the existence of a way to disprove the theory

        5. The idiotic morons at NASA who have recorded warming on Mars.

It never occurs to actual idiotic morons that global warming is happening as part of a regular cycle of cooling and warming (see the Little Ice Age ending 600 years ago and temps doing what they always do at the end of a cooling period…they go up). That cycle coincides with the variability of solar radiation, something apparently too complex for actual morons to comprehend.

    3. The federal limit is $3,300 per election cycle and $5,000 to a PAC.

Biden has pioneered the way forward. The Oil barons can just give millions to Trumps kids.
      Problem solved

    4. Dennis – there is no “shame” in seeking campaign contributions. In light of the legal costs imposed on Trump by the Biden administration, solicitation of contributions is a “necessity.”

    5. I doubt that oil companies will give more to Trump than Biden – big business is quite happy with being regulated.
      Regulations screw consumers not business.

Regardless, slashing regulations is no give away. It FORCES participants to compete in the free market. It drives prices down benefiting consumers.

    6. Thanks for posting about Trump’s attempted graft of the oil lobby. To me it’s just an overt and disgusting play an amplified play of what was done when Reagan took power and wanted to symbolically squash sustainable energy. Ditto when Bush Jr. And Cheney came in to town. Whatever shred of restraint those clowns had, trump cares nothing about.

Why do I know this? My dad, a physicist who got his PhD after putting himself through college as an athlete worked in science and tech intelligence and wrote a lot of the early material for NASA about how sustainable power was going to assimilate into the economy watched as later R administration’s squashed many of the initiatives he and his cohorts worked on. The stupidity of it kind of crushed him…, after all, in the 70’s, not only was the science in place to establish man made climate change was real but a huge funder of research was Exxon. Reagan came along and ruined the incentives and the oil lobby backed out. Net result was the research base moved from the States to China and Europe…, so now the U.S. has had to catch up on the research it originally began…

Thing is, it’s too late to turn back now. The Obama administration helped get research back under way here and Biden has followed suit (even though we now drill more under his administration than at any time in history).

Any sustainable plan is a Chinese menu…, wind, solar, fusion, waves. That’s not just the future. It’s the present…, and the dinosaurs have already lost.

I live on an island powered by wind. Love it. Party on!

      1. I should add that on the island I live on one can no longer not experience tangible physical evidence of man made climate change. What is now one island will in the too distant future become two. Sort of a mini New Zealand. We’re having to plan for it in an imminent sense.

        1. Plus John Chaffee, career R senator from Rhode Island, was my senator for years. Remember when the conservatives were actually the environmentalists??

  14. The demoncrats hold a national contest every day. Who can be the biggest lying hypocrite.

  15. Long ago Hillary reached the expiration date on her relevance. If she weren’t the wife of a former president, nobody would have ever known who she is,— not even that she was fired from her first political job. which was on a committee investigating Nixon.

She then parlayed First-Wife status into an instant political career, getting elected to the SENATE as her first (and only) elected office, in a state with the most-questionable political and legal ethics in the USA. Then, using the strength of the Clinton name in democrat politics, she strong-armed her way into getting appointed Secretary of State in the Obama Administration, because Obama never could have gotten elected without backing from Clinton democrats.

That’s the ENTIRETY of Hillary’s questionable political career, which pales in comparison to her criminal career as the unprosecuted multiple felon formerly known as “Hillary in a landslide,” whose wide-ranging political operatives concocted and executed the Russia-Collusion Hoax.

Yet in her new career as The Thing That Won’t Go Away, she is constantly being resurrected by the press for reasons that are incomprehensible to me — UNLESS she is in the democrat running for candidate as president or vice president when Fake President Joetard finally slips and falls (aka gets pushed) down the junior off ramp of Air Force One and stars in his own funeral for a tearfully-televised week or more.

In preparation for the possibility of that “terrible accident,” I’m quite certain that Hillary has already commissioned a scripted speech that will be hailed by the democrat media as the greatest speech since Marc Antony’s “I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him” or what’s-his-name’s the Gettysburg Address.

    1. Once the demoncrats held their fraudulent Sicknick wake and fake worship session with the body reposed in the Capitol Rotunda the tiniest possible bit of respect I harbored for them in case their clock coincided with reality once a year evaporated.
      I don’t trust.
      I don’t check and verify.
      I don’t believe a word, ever.

      1. I would hire an independent. I would hire a liberal. I would hire a conservative. But NEVER a Trumpster. They’re too angry, too lazy, too complaining, and way too self entitled.

        1. I don’t think a Trumpster would be interested in working mowing your parents lawn for you.

  16. Uh-Oh, She’s warming up! with less than six months to go, they’re getting ready to wheel Her out in the Big Cake.
It’s Show Time at the Democratic National Convention – Chicago-

    1. How many American television screens will be smashed if Hillary pops up out of a cake sans vetements?

      1. edwardmahl said: “How many American television screens will be smashed if Hillary pops up out of a cake sans vetements?”

Thank you SO much for that charming visual. It would be like a real-life version of a scene from a Clive Barker flick. Maybe worse.

  17. The unintended prominence of this veritable personification of abject and vile perversion and corruption is the result of ignoring and “fundamentally transforming” the voter qualifications in the restricted-vote republic of the America of its Founders.

The American Founders intended for the dominion of the noble, honorable, and illustrious.

That ascendancy might only be preserved and perpetuated in a condition of self-governance through the maintenance of a severely restricted vote, not the dictatorship of the low and base proletariat.

In 1789, turnout was 11.6% by design.

The American Founders generally implemented vote qualifications as male, European, 21, and assets of 50 lbs Sterling or 50 acres to preserve their creation—a new nation of self-governance.

Never did the Founders intend for one man, one vote democracy that constitutes, as it became known in 1848, the communist “dictatorship of the proletariat.”

The Founders understood that one man, one vote “democracy” would prove fatal for the republic they gave Americans.

    1. Absolutely correct, we need fewer people voting, and allowed to vote, not more.

Repeal of the 17th and 19th Amendments would go a long way to restoring the Republic.

And treason must be enforced against professional political criminals like Hillary and Biden.

  18. So this is Jonathan’s strategy for election-campaign integrity?….ex post facto shaming?

No stellar intellect of the law, he. JT is bending over, ready to take it you know where, from
mendacious candidates. May the most compelling liar win. We’ll all cry over our beer afterward.

Meanwhile, public decisionmaking descends further into “garbage in – garbage out”.

When I joined this site, I was expecting more. The first year, it was a watering hole for original legal thinking.
    Now, it’s just for whinging.

    1. @pbinca,

You’re right about that. This site seems more like a sanitized version of Rumble at times. Comments are all about party intertribal disputes and stick-it-to them-because-they-are-leftists mentality. No amount of reason or commons sense will change it. It is no different than dealing with rabid fanatical sports fans completely loyal to their teams or particular players until the most extreme egregious wrong occurs. Nothing short of an outright indefensible crime or moral failure is not acceptable. For example look at William Barr. He’s been the target of Trump’s denigration, anger and even been thrown under the bus multiple times. Barr has clearly made Trump to be a horrible, incompetent, and clueless leader who does not deserve to be in office, buuuut……he will still vote for him because…democrats are worse. His own shameless partisan loyalty that would not be out of place in any cult is his biggest weakness. Party loyalty comes before anything. Even when the candidate of his party is woefully incompetent and dangerous. Cults rely on people like that, because they have weak minds, but strong loyalty. The same kinds of people dictators and war lords surround themselves with. Loyalty above everything is what Trump values most.

    2. So you’re saying there are no parallels between Trump bookkeeping related to an NDA and a payment to squelch reputational and marital damage from allegations by a porn star and the payments for the bogus Steele dossier? I guess that explains why Trump is in a courtroom and Hillary was only subject to an administrative review. Go team blue, amirite?

        1. George,

Sorry for your confusion. I was replying to pbinca.

However, be sure and append an update to your comment after the Bragg case fails, either because at least one juror could separate politics from the rule of law, or on appeal when a non-conflicted judge overturns the verdict. See the recent verdict against Harvey Weinstein being overturned if you’re still confused, in short: The state Court of Appeals found that the judge in the landmark #MeToo trial prejudiced Weinstein, the former film mogul, with improper rulings, including a decision to let women testify about allegations that weren’t part of the case.

“Comments are all about party intertribal disputes…”

You’ll find Exhibit A in front of a mirror.

    3. pbinca popped up again with more sophomoric Soviet Democrat sniveling and complaining
No stellar intellect of the law, he. JT is bending over, ready to take it you know where, from mendacious candidates… Now, it’s just for whinging.

It would appear that this Soviet Democrat Marxist Useful Idiot is on a roll when it comes to putting his utter lack of self awareness on display. And the only intellect it possesses being mostly corrupt.

The dripping vagina/mangina from Birthing Person pbinca… HOW DARE SOMEBODY COMMENT ON HILLARY CLINTON’S DOUBLE STANDARDS AND RECORD OF CORRUPTION! (And her complete lack of self awareness that she and pbinca share).

Oh… the wails of outrage that somebody would point out the corruption that oozes from Clinton’s pores every time she slithers back onto the political stage with her hands out looking for more money/graft.

  19. Jonathan: So now it’s all about HRC and her comment that DJT’s criminal trial in Manhattan is about “election interference”. You think HRC should have some “capacity for shame” for her “election interference” in the 2016 election. Clinton and the DNC agreed to pay $113,000 to settle a FEC complaint about the Steele dossier. Case closed. But, perhaps, the 2016 election might have tuned out differently had voters known about DJT’s sex with Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal at the same time his wife was at home with their newborn. Trump knew that and buried the scandal with hush money payments. That makes what HRC did pale in comparison to the grotesque conspiracy between DJT, Michael Cohen, et al. When it comes to “capacity for shame” that’s not in DJT’s DNA!

    1. Perhaps the 1960 election would have turned out differently if the public knew of JFK’s relentless philandering.

      1. Yep, Mom’s for Liberty, or more properly, 3somes for me, but not for thee.

But hey, what do you expect from a group that loves their president to be a lying sack of feces that loves to grab em by the pussy?

        1. Can’t wait for the Florida release of Epstein flight logs. Even DeSantis chummed the waters at the announcement saying that they shouldn’t remain sealed just to protect “rich businessmen from New York.” But you know what, if Trump had sex with underage girls, his followers are gonna love that. So, it’ll probably be anti-climactic.

          1. I move that those who’ve adopted the ‘Anonymous’ moniker continue to be free to comment but no longer able to reply to other comments. The Anonymous replies to Anonymous are especially superfluous. These cowardly children have spat on the once respected and needed cloak of anonymity. Call yourselves Hillary’s or Joe’s or Barry’s.

          2. Another cowardly Anonymous Soviet Democrat Pervert is here to pimp for Joe Biden – he got on board with Biden when he found out that Biden liked having “inappropriate showers” with his teenage daughter and turned his own daughter into a drug addled slut and pervewrt. When he wasn’t funding The Son Formerly Known As The Crackhead Kid with his own porn channel and binges of whores mixed with meth over in Russia – and underage girls as part of his payment from the ChiComs for selling out his country.

But Biden follows Obama – who had the serial rapist and pedophile Harvey Weinstein on the open door policy for the White House. Eight years of Democrat perverts in the White House, to follow the Clintons who also had eight years of pervert criminals as guests in the White House.

            Meanwhile….. BBBBUUUTTTTT MUH TRUMP!!!!!!!

Y’know, if Trump did a fraction of what Bribery Biden and Bolshevik Barack did… they wouldn’t have to use “imaginative prosecution” to lock Trump up.
