“They Lie and People Die”: Carnegie Mellon Professor Claims Trump Assassination Attempt was “Staged”
Carnegie Mellon University Professor Uju Anya has joined the ranks of academics spreading the conspiracy theory that the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump was “staged.” As for the killing and wounding of bystanders, Anya explained that “that’s exactly what they do.” We previously discussed other academics who have spread this conspiracy theory. However, few are willing to go as far as Professor Anya in explaining how the other victims were used to make the staging more plausible. Anya declared:

“It was staged. Like a stupid Tubi movie set in the Bronx with palm trees in the background. They lie, and people die. That’s exactly what they do

…That’s the record. Whatever ‘attack’ on him they set up to stoke his followers’ fears and sentiments threat and persecution has now cost lives.

…And people died behind this farce. Actual people’s lives gone for them to stage this stupid show. People dying doesn’t make the attack any less staged. Someone who thought the attack was real could’ve killed others trying to prevent harm. Also, someone could’ve shot the shooter to hide the plot.”

The faculty bio states that Anya is an Associate Professor of Second Language Acquisition. She describes herself as

“a scholar of language learning and Black experiences in multilingualism. My primary fields of inquiry are critical applied linguistics, critical sociolinguistics and critical discourse studies examining race, gender, sexual and social class identities in new language learning through the multilingual journeys of African American students.”

Likewise, in a now since-deleted Threads posting, Professor of Psychology at San Diego Mesa College Inna Kanevsky also fueled the baseless conspiracy theory. She posted

“‘He took a bullet for his country!’ No he didn’t. He took it, like everything else he took and keeps taking, for himself. For his own personal aggrandizement.”

Professor Anya has long been a controversial figure including her wish that Queen Elizabeth would die a long “excruciating” death. She later doubled down on the hateful statements.

She also tweeted out crude remarks about the 2022 elections: “contrary to all these major media outlets, the red wave coming is my period on Friday.”

So these and other faculty believe that Trump enlisted a kid who was thrown out of his high school shooting club as a bad shot to wing him at 130 yards from a sloped position. The conspiracists also decided to kill or wound some supporters to make the staging look real. In our age of rage, this all makes sense to these professors.

I agree with Professor Anya that such political statements are protected speech. However, her unhinged and hateful commentary exposes the radicalism of many faculty in higher education today.

They even unfurled a banner of the leader of Iran thanking the students for the calling of Jews to be killed. This person does have the right of free speech but she doesn’t have the right to a job at an American university where she is allowed to indoctrinate her students with racist hate. I would say the same thing if a Professor was calling for the genocide of Black people. There’s no difference. This is another product of a DEI hiring policy gone amuck.

    Turley is overly concerned with what a bunch of cheese-brained “professors” think about politics.

    When I was in college, I only cared about what my Calculus professor thought about Calculus, and what my Linear Algebra professor thought about Linear Algebra, and what my Fluid Dynamics professor thought about Fluid Dynamics, etc.
    Why would I care what ANY of them thought about politics?

    Political Science was a JOKE elective, and I never took that course or any other involved in something I could learn simply by living and following the news.
    Like many other people, I went to college for 8 years to learn things about engineering and architectural design that I couldn’t learn any other way except by doing the work and interacting with others — professors AND students — who were interested in those same matters.

    Politics is important — no doubt about it. But it’s WAY down the list of things that people need to waste time in college studying when they COULD be studying things that one NEEDS to go to college to learn.

    Perhaps the lesson is that the one thing people need to figure out for themselves BEFORE going to college has to do with PRIORITIES — because you can’t let other people decide for you what your priorities should be.

    I only have one Q for Mike Johnson. Next time you need a roofer, a plumber, a new bathroom or yard landscaping who will be sent out to do the work? From experience I can tell you most of the crews will be composed of recent immigrants from either Mexico or Central America. And many will be undocumented because all White EMPLOYERS want is cheap labor. And, Mike, who do you think works in the fields in the hot sun to pick the crops or in the processing plants that provide the merchandise and food in the supermarkets where you shop?       First, the paragraph from Johnson’s speech that YOU excerpted says nothing about taking jobs from “Whites”. You just made that up. A LIE.

      Johnson talks about how illegal aliens are sucking up resources (presumably that’s a reference to taxpayers having to fund schools to educate the children of illegal invaders; as well as fund remedial coursework for the illiterates. Many have to take Enlgish as a Second Language courses. The illegal aliens are also sucking up healthcare resources. And since they can’t pay, then the hospitals and healthcare providers are passing on the costs of the deadbeats to those who CAN pay – raising insurance rates for everyone. Of course, you know all of this but choose to LIE anyway.

      Second, Johnson also mentioned non-citizens are disrupting elections. That is absolutely, unquestionably true. Democrats have enacted laws in several states and municipalities allowing non-citizens to vote.

It’s only a matter of time before that lawsuit is filed and an activist far left judge strings together bunch of legalese mumbo jumbo to rationalize imposing a rule allowing non-citizens to vote in federal elections.           At the Time Biden was inaugurated (through august) the US controlled Bagram Airbase – one of the largest in the world, and the Kabul airport. It Was Biden that decided to abandon Bagram before US forces and civilians were out.

          It probably was correct to do the final staging out of Kabul as that was a civilian airport and easier to stage civilian flights out of. But Biden was not prepared to defend the airport as civilians left.

          Further the US departure that Trump had negotiated was in April – that was long before the Taliban had near total control of the country. Had the US departure proceeding in April as Trump planned – it would have been chaotic – but not nearly as bad as 6 months later with the Taliban controlling most of the country.
          Further by delaying, Biden left both many Afghani’s and the Taliban with the impression that the US would not actually leave. That made things worse.

          Alishi went through a broken window into the speakers lobby – that was improper. It was not a felony, and if did not come within a thousand miles of the legal requirements justifying the use of deadly force.

          Just a few days ago – Secret Service agents who KNEW a man was on the rooftop overlooking Trumps rally with a rifle a full 20minutes before he shot Trump did NOT shot or shoot at that assassin, instead waiting for him to fire the first shot.

          Crooks had a rifle on a roof at a rally with the former and soon to be president.
          Alishi had no weapon of any kind.

    Biden will suffer no consequences for his pilfering over the life of his career, Professor Uju Anya and Professor Inna Kanevsky will suffer no damages for their Lies.
    Responsibility for this lies in the Courtroom, the Honorable Judge Aileen Cannon proved this is where judgment is handed down, however the Instigators (perpetrators) of wrong doing, will skate away scot-free with no consequential penalties, in fact they will be allowed to keep their Capitalist gains and more over at the expense of the People of the United States.

  20. This professor is a fraud. One of the most important things that we have to remember is people do not think alike. One of the greatest challenges in being a physician is making sure that when you talk to a patient, they understand what you mean. There is a simple way to do that. You simply ask them to repeat the information or instructions that you just gave them. When they do that, you really understand what the multiverse is. I have standard speech’s I gave on information and instructions that did not vary much at all. What was often “repeated” back to me was a true travel in the variety of understanding. If anything it was not racial at all.
    It was more often economic, or new to the language as maybe an immigrant or cultural also as an immigrant, or were they from Eastern Europe after communism fell. Blacks from the United States understood me quite well (especially from the South) and I understood them, but so did blacks from Africa. The greatest cultural differences I saw were if people were from SE Asia or China or Japan. Filipino’s understood the US well and the language well since it had been an American enclave for approx 50 years. The Middle East and Islamic world was also different but that was also a matter of where in the Islamic world you were from and whether you were richer or poorer.
    My first words were Japanese since that was where I lived as a young child, but I also lived in Germany (learned German since lapsed) , Houston and Dallas Texas (learned Spanish in college and also taught to me by a Mexican Critical Care Faculty member), Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia, and Illinois and Indiana. I had teachers from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, South America, all over the US, Europe, Africa as well as Indian (subcontinent) China (mainland and Taiwan) and Japan.
    It’s cultural and has little to do with race at all.
