The Democratic Diaspora: Liberals Seek Safe Spaces After Democracy Prevailed in 2024

Below is my column in The Hill on how some Democrats are joining a diaspora of the disgruntled and despondent in leaving the country or finding safe spaces away from opposing viewpoints. It appears that nothing succeeds like secession when you lose an election.

Here is the column:

Democrats who campaigned on the need for “joy” and “saving democracy” are strikingly unjoyful about the results of the democratic process in 2024.

Before the election, slips like the one of President Joe Biden calling Trump supporters “garbage” were immediately denied or deflected. But once voters had given the Republicans control of both houses of Congress, the popular vote and the White House, leading Democratic figures and celebrities dropped all pretense of civility. They are now being open about their contempt for voters, calling them “f—-ing morons” and “arrogant, ignorant” adolescents.

After calling for Americans to come together for Kamala Harris, MSNBC’s Joy Reid sent out a heart-warming holiday message to those who voted for the GOP to “make your own dinner, MAGA. Make your own sandwiches, wipe your own tears.”

Those not wallowing in Reid’s anger are increasingly voicing themes of isolation, insurrection and secession.

For years, the contempt for Trump voters has been open and obvious in much of the media.  The “Let’s Go Brandon” movement captured the lunacy of the press and politicians simply denying what citizens could see, hear and experience for themselves.

When asked for answers on issues like the economy and immigration, Harris paraded an army of celebrities to tell the public how to vote — shiny objects that they thought would be enough for shallow American voters.

They were wrong. Now that the public has made its choice, leading figures are condemning the majority of voters as a mix of misogynists, self-haters and fascists. Whoopi Goldberg, 69, even joined the “4B” sex strike against men. Others seem to be morphing into exactly what they said Trump would become as president: isolationist and insurrectionist.

Some have responded to the losses by retreating further into echo chambers protected from opposing views. Many dumped X in favor of BlueSky, a new social media safe space for liberals who fear being triggered by opposing views. Notably, censorship advocates such as Nina Jankowisz have fled to BlueSky.

The site is portrayed as a return to the good old days when liberals controlled all of the social media and maintained a massive censorship and blacklisting system over political discourse.

New York Times tech reporter Kevin Roose wrote a column last week that offered the familiar “I can breathe again” account: “After an hour or so of scrolling through Bluesky the other night, I felt something I haven’t felt on social media in a long time: free.”

It is the ultimate irony. This election shocked many on the left precisely because they were writing and commenting on each other within their hardened media and political silos. They are unlikely to improve themselves by receding further into that safe space to rave about the “f—ing morons” who make up the majority of America.

Other Democratic politicians have moved beyond the chest-pounding of leaders like Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) to pledges of more direct obstruction or inflammatory rhetoric.

Denver mayor Mike Johnson (D) declared that he was preparing the Mile-High City for its “Tiananmen Square moment” to fight the federal government in any attempt to deport unlawful migrants. Johnson warned that he would have not only Denver police “stationed at the county line to keep [ICE] out” but also “50,000 Denverites.”

Not long ago, Democrats were calling similar protests an “insurrection.” Johnson later walked back his remarks but insisted that his city would fight federal efforts to enforce the immigration laws.

Rather than such trench warfare, most Democratic governors and mayors are simply pledging not to cooperate with federal authorities, which is a lawful choice. The concern, however, is how others will react to the overheated rhetoric for months that this will be “our last election” and that Trump is the new Hitler.

Such rage rhetoric gives people license to say and do things they would not ordinarily say or do. Leaders calling on citizens to “fight” ICE and the “fascists” can easily inspire violence, as we have seen in past years. Indeed, that was the very premise of the criminal case against Trump supported by many of these same leaders, alleging that his calls to “fight” against certification was a call for insurrection.

Some liberals are very publicly fleeing the country. Sharon Stone (who called American voters “uneducated”) is reportedly off to CanadaEllen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are off to a mansion in Cotswolds in England. Democratic megadonor Reid Hoffman is also reportedly exploring a departure from the country after his millions of dollars failed to produce a victory for Kamala Harris.

Some, however, want to take part of the country with them. New York State Sen. Liz Krueger (D-Upper East Side) has received praise for her call for New York to join Canada. Where Alexandre Dumas believed that ‘Nothing succeeds like success,” some believe that, after losing an election, nothing succeeds quite like secession.

Krueger previously sought to block Trump from the ballot in the name of protecting democracy. That would have barred the 45 percent of New Yorkers who voted for the president-elect, but those voters would find themselves either Canadians or refugees under her proposal.

Krueger suggested that secession simply makes sense when the majority of the country disagrees with you. She believes New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont could form a new Canadian province.

“I got back some unofficial responses and heard this is probably sellable in Ottawa,” she said. “And look, if we were Europe, in the length of time we’ve been a nation, for Canada, if we were European countries, our borders would have moved around 20 times by now, right?”

She explained that this is all just “thinking outside of the box.” The box that she and other liberals find themselves in is called “democracy,” and they don’t like it.

Just for the record, the last time people thought “outside the box” and seceded, we got a war with roughly 700,000 people killed.

Yet, assuming New Yorkers can get used to milk in a bag and cheese curds as a snack, there may be an obvious appeal for the left in the True North. Formerly “strong and free,” Canada has become a nightmare for free speech with the ever-expanding criminalization of political speech. One professor, who said that Trump’s plans to combat censorship has left many frightened, said that if free speech protections are restored, “I will be on a plane [out of America].”

For New York Times reporters and officials alike, they will be able to “breathe again” in the controlled, regulated air of censorship countries like Canada.

The only challenge for our displaced and disgruntled diaspora will be that Canadians tend to be nice.

  1. Professor Turley writes, “New York State Sen. Liz Krueger (D-Upper East Side) has received praise for her call for New York to join Canada.”

First, if Manhattan can secede from the U.S.A., upstate NY can secede from Manhattan. It will be fun to watch Escape From New York become a documentary after Manhattan is reduced to a rump state with its back to the sea. Bring it, Liz.

Second, being rid of millions of radical lunatics in NYC would shift the Republic back to a decidedly center-right country. What’s not to love about that?

As for Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont, you’re staying. NYC has made itself a cancer on the buttocks of the Atlantic. Be grateful you’re not with them.

Or another song: ‘It’s the sign of the times’ by Harry Styles

    of the times
    Welcome to the final show
I hope you’re wearing your best
    Clothes
You can’t bribe the door on
    Your way to the sky
    You look pretty good down
    Here
    But you ain’t really good

If we never learn we’ve been
    Here before
Why are we always stuck and
    Running from
    The bullets, the bullet?
    We never learn, we’ve been
    Here before
Why are we always stuck and
    Running from
    Your bullets, a bullet?

Just stop your crying, it a sign
    Of the times
We gotta get away from here
We gotta get away from here
Just stop you crying, it’ll be
    Alright
They told me that the end is
    Near
We gotta get away from here

Just stop you crying, have the
    Time of your life
    Breaking through the

    Things look pretty good from
    Here
    Remember everything will be
    Alright
    We can meet again somewhere
    Somewhere far away from here.’

Try as I might to believe anything that the leftist’s in America are spewing, I’ve concluded as a whole the leftists of America are nearsighted fools on an equivocal journey to the some cryptic, or should I say some mysterious place of the unknown but most assuredly draconian in nature.

  3. They can run from opposing viewpoints, but they cannot hide from them. Illiberal progressivism is in full retreat, and the heart beat of classical liberalism has been revived.

    1. Ron A. Hoffman,
It would be rather fun to watch classic liberals tell the woke leftists to “get off my side/party!” and take their party back.

  4. Just checked the voting map by county of NY state. Seems a whole lot of the state voted for Trump and would not vote to join Canada except those Blue areas in and around NYC. According to exit polls, Trump gain a lot of votes in NY state over all. NYC itself has seen a decline of registered Democrats. Democrats keep up with the woke leftists policies, talking down to anyone who is not an elite Democrat, which is anyone outside of the Hilary Clinton orbit they can expect to lose even more.

    1. @Upstate

As time passes since the election, I begin to feel more and more certain that the 3 million people on Blue Sky are pretty much all of them, in a country now closing in on 400 million. That these comparatively very few tools were running rampant over all of us for years is just breathtaking in its malfeasance – it really could be called evil. I’d like to relegate them to the dustbin of history without the guillotine – but one never knows. Even now – they will not stop. We marginalized the living **** out of them at the polls, now we have to follow through. So let’s do it, in the same intractable way they attempted to, and failed, to do to us. May this never, ever, have even a *hint* of happening again on this soil. Whatever we believe, the rest of us are brothers and sisters in arms, and we need to show them.

      1. James,
The one upside with our leftists friends here on the good professor’s blog is until now, as I do not frequent X or most other social media, I now know exactly how insane, crazy and delusional they really are.
As to the relegating them to the dustbin of history, well, they had their time in the limelight. Then they killed it by their own doing. They want to throw their child like temper tantrums, run for their safe spaces with their censorship of anything that might hurt their little feelings, fine by me! Just dont expect to come out and think we are going to coddle them like they are in their safe space. I hope they leave. I hope they isolate themselves in their little bubbles. Their mental illness will continue to crush their souls and it is by their own doing. I stated before, we no longer have to put up with their woke crap. This election was a mandate that it is okay for us sane and normal people to point out wokeism is wrong. It is okay to say out loud biological men should not be in women’s sports, locker rooms, bath rooms. It is okay to say out loud pornography in elementary schools is wrong. It is okay to say out loud DEI and CRT are divisive and hurtful. It is okay to say out loud illegal immigrants who commit crimes should be deported. It is okay to say out loud America First proudly.

        1. @Upstate

In the past I would have said, ‘I hope you are right, Upstate.’. Today I say: ‘We will show them we are right.’. Basic human decency and sanity, real compassion and kindness have got to come back, and that is represented by the modern left by exactly zero percent. It’s going to be very tough, but this is the way forward.

    2. “NY state. Seems a whole lot of the state voted for Trump and would not vote to join Canada except those Blue areas in and around NYC.”

I lived in Delaware County for 4 years in the 1980s. It was solid red then, don’t believe it has changed much. Worked in Sullivan County at the time, and, in spite of the fact that it was the site of Woodstock (or possibly because of that?), it was majority Republican, although much less so than DelCo. Sullivan could have changed, as quite a number of people fleeing NYC have moved there, and such people have a perverse tendency to bring the things they are running away from with them to their new location. Most people in that region of NYS at the time wanted little or nothing to do with NYC or Democrats.

  5. So, just who are these “Trump voters” that Democrats are swearing and cussing at? Given that registered Democrats are about 29% of voters, and registered Republicans are about 28%, that leaves over 40% of voters claiming Independent status. No candidate can win an election without their votes. Many of these Independent voters likely voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012, for Trump in 2016, for Biden in 2020, and for Trump in 2024. So, were they “good guys” in 2008 and 2012, before becoming “misogynists, self-haters and fascists” in 2016, then reverting to “good guys” in 2020 before, once again, becoming garbage in 2024? Democrats don’t realize how thin their permanent ranks really are, and how fluid and flexible the majority of voters really is.

  6. Given Hunter’s sweeping pardon, it would seem he can no longer plead the Fifth, since he is beyond being able to incriminate himself.
Can he then be compelled to testify.

    1. “Can he be forced to testify?”

Maybe, but they’d probably just get the same old answers. During the Biden impeachment inquiry, they didn’t find anything criminal around the whole “influence peddling” and “bribery” stuff. If they couldn’t dig up solid evidence then, it’s unlikely they’ll find anything from his testimony now. According to Republicans, even Biden couldn’t be charged because he has the same kind of immunity protections that Trump has.

  7. Democrats who find Canada appealing should be forced to spend the winter in Winnipeg. Once they melt in the spring, they will be sneaking back here.

    1. @ Edwardmahl

You have made a point already demonstrated. In the Nineteenth Century Chief Joseph led his tribe into ‘Grandmother’s Land’ [Canada] to escape the US Cavalry.

He came back explaining “Grandmother’s Land is too cold.”

Then he made his famous declaration: “From where the sun now stands I will fight no more forever.”

Or so my rusty memory recalls it.

      1. Young, your memory is failing. Cheif Joseph never made it to Canada. The US cavalry cought up to his band first.

        1. Chief Joseph and his Nez Perce got to about 40 miles of the Canadian border. They intended to join Sitting Bull and his Lakota. who had found refuge there.

          1. Number 6,

Thanks. Some famous Indian chief made it to Canada and complained it was too cold. And that was the original point.

  8. Jonathan: Just for the record. I’m not going anywhere. As I did during DJT’s first four years I will continue to point when the emperor has no clothes! I am sure some of your loyal supporters on this blog will be disappointed. But I follow the precept that “when the going is tough, the tough get going”.

And, yes, state governors and AGs will push back on the Trump revenge agenda. They will be filing a deluge of lawsuits to prevent DJT from deporting immigrants. If DJT thinks they will be push overs he is sorely mistaken!

    1. Jonathan: Just for the record. I’m not going anywhere.

Nobody expected you to Dennis, you angry pervert. After you happily confessed you get sexual satisfaction from coming here to troll and insult your host Professor Turley, how else would you get any source of stimulation?

But I follow the precept that “when the going is tough, the tough get going”.

Which would be one more lie, Dennis. You’re tough that you drop your Daily Deuces of Bull Schiff and then immediately run away and hide in your slimy lair rather than staying to attempt to defend your lies.

But Dennis; where’s your Dennis’s Breaking Weekend News? BRIBERY BIDEN GIVES FIRST FELON SON A DECADE OF AMNESTY!

      1. Bribery? What Bribery? Republicans have never produced evidence. They will have to figure out exactly what the crimes were. They have never been able to produce evidence.

    2. DenDen, you are a Leftist loser….but I repeat myself! A maskurbating, rice-eating fool.

    3. The problem, Dennis, is you have no clothes and you clearly live in a fantasy world. Worse, you don’t even recognize it. As for filing lawsuits, you actually have to have a case where as the AG has black-letter law found here: 8 U.S. Code § 1227 – Deportable aliens

Section (B) Present in violation of law: Any alien who is present in the United States in violation of this chapter or any other law of the United States, or whose nonimmigrant visa (or other documentation authorizing admission into the United States as a nonimmigrant) has been revoked under section 1201(i) of this title, is deportable.

So where is your case? They’re came here illegally and do not have permission to reside. Therefore, they’re deportable.

    4. And we will continue to point out how not only wrong you are, but what a liar you are.
I hope those governors dont cooperate. And more and more illegals criminals will flock to their states, to take up valuable resources that should be used on US citizens, commit more crime in those Blue cities and states, and more and more US citizens will flee those Blue cities and states as the failures they are. Just look at CA as a perfect example.

    5. Recall all those times you were bragging about some celebrity endorsing Biden or Harris as if it was some monumental big deal? No one cared. No one cares what some singer or actor says or campaigns for Harris. What is interesting is the number of younger people under the age of 50 who did think Elon Musk endorsement of Trump was a big deal. They also listened to the Joe Rogan three hour interview with Trump and many of them then voted for Trump.

    6. Oh, Dennis, you didn’t have to tell us that you were going nowhere, because you have been going nowhere for decades now. And, sadly, I fear that you are one of those people, those “no information-voter types”, who are not capable of getting past your own personal mental rut and mindset, to ever go anywhere. If you are truly a 73-year-old retired lawyer, and not a Parody Sock Puppet, I feel sorry for you. Like a psychiatrist once told me, some people are just who they are, and no matter how screwed-up they are, they will simply not take the steps to become a better person.

Luckily, there are also people in the world who are capable of assimilating new information, and changing their minds when presented new information:

  9. “I got back some unofficial responses and heard this is probably sellable in Ottawa,” she said. “And look, if we were Europe, in the length of time we’ve been a nation, for Canada, if we were European countries, our borders would have moved around 20 times by now, right?”

Sure, why not? That worked so well in the Donbas and former Yugoslavia.

  10. Liz Krueger’s “True North” is actually just Magnetic North. She’ll never make it in Canada Jonathan. Not enough censorship……

  11. I’d trade most of the states Krueger mentioned for Alberta and the oil sands in a New York minute.

  12. Professor Turley: The double-standard is mind-boggling. I saw no liberals climbing the walls of the Capitol nor claiming the election was stolen. By and large, most liberals are handling the election with a sense of sadness for the democracy we’ve lost to the Trump revolution, but the vast majority of us are not leaving.
The project of Trumpism is to divide Americans against one another, and to destroy the administrative state of the greatest country ever to exist on earth. Trump’s project is to denigrate the patriotism of half of the country’s inhabitants as being insincere or worse. Trump often and loudly demeans Democrats as the enemy. A house divided cannot stand. All this trash-talking against liberals is exactly what Russians and Chinese want us to do in order to bring our country to its knees. I fear that we have lost the moral standing in the world and the order within our government institutions – due to the long consensus among both liberals and conservatives that democracy, patriotism, and peace among our citizens was an unalloyed good – that made this country the great country that it is. Columns like this one contribute yet another log on the funeral pyre of America that those who seek to divide us Americans are building. I fear Trump’s second term will be the match that will light the whole thing on fire.

    1. @Anonymous

Nice try, but we haven’t forgotten a single thing, and we aren’t that stupid. You will likely need a new profession. You could try your luck on Blue Sky, but I doubt preaching to the choir would avail you much.

The net result of this election will be more and more of those silenced or marginalized by the left finding their courage. It’s over, and it really is.

          1. “It is difficult to totally purge fecal matter.”

Says someone who is full of s–t.

Get set for the donkey-doo to hit the fan at the midterms. And, tRump will really be a lame duck beginning on inauguration day. 🫏

        1. @Anonymous

Yes, I see that, we all do, and I am so grateful I am not such a pathetic human being. Now that you have gotten your five year-old acknowledgement for participating, moving on. *pats Anonymous on the shoulder*

    2. Professor Turley: The double-standard is mind-boggling. I saw no liberals climbing the walls of the Capitol nor claiming the election was stolen.

Another cowardly Anonymous Democrat claiming he doesn’t believe his/her/zee lying eyes. Didn’t see a day long assault on the White House by Democrat thugs trying to get into the White House to murder Trump and his family. Just as it didn’t see the conga line of Democrats still screaming ever since 2016 that Trump stole the election working with PUtin.

Didn’t see the Democrats street thugs rioting throughout Washington DC on inauguration day in 2016 as Trump was a few blocks away taking the oath of office.

Didn’t see Democrat street thugs rioting outside of the White House after a city cop, not a federal cop, working for a black Democrat police chief and a black Democrat city council in a Democrat state killed a black criminal resisting arrest.

Cringe Jean-Pierre hiding in the White House is a better liar than this crap.

    3. Libs love blm ,
      many actual deaths,
      Private prop damage, 1.5 billion
Small biz , & families broken.

    4. “Trump often and loudly demeans Democrats as the enemy.”

Just a hunch, but that may have something to do with Democrats often and loudly proclaiming themselves to be the enemy.

  13. Wasn’t there, recently, some skirmish about a few Southern states declaring their desire to secede from the Union? How’d that turn out for them?

  14. “Whoopi Goldberg, 69, even joined the “4B” sex strike against men.” Is this an ‘April Fool’s Day’ joke?
The thought alone is compelling for abstinence. But then again, what threat do you have left after stating “maybe it’s time for me to move, you know,” in 2016.

  15. Dear Prof Turley,

I guess it doesn’t matter where the laptop is now. .. if it ever did.

Evidently, President Biden has pardoned his son Hunter for anything he “may” done from Jan. 1, 2014, to Dec. 1, 2024.

“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” Hunter Biden wrote Zhao, according to IRS supervisory agent Gary Shapley and another agency investigator who has remained anonymous.

“Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight,” the now-53-year-old went on. “And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.”

    1. Sure the laptop matters. Joe may have pardoned his felonious son Hunter but what else could he do? Do you think a druggie reprobate would stay silent with the threat serving years/decades in prison? Hunter sings and the Joe Biden legacy (pitiful as it is) goes down the drain and his criminal empire collapses. Joe, as expected, circled the wagons to keep that from happening.

The good news: The ‘pardon’ does not covers all those in the FBI, DOJ, State and IRS that facilitated the Biden criminal enterprise. And a ‘pardon’ does not prevent Hunter and Joe from being compelled to testify aft hearings/trials of those facilitators….where the laptop will come in quite handy.

      1. As I understand it, President Biden has pardoned his son Hunter for *any* crimes he “may” have committed between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 1, 2024. So it’s difficult to see Hunter ‘singing’ about anything during that time frame. (note. pls someone correct me if that is wrong?)

*As for the other lawyers, FBI, DoJ etc., etc., who may have committed crimes in the past . .. well, it ain’t over until the fat man sings (i.e. Jan. 20, 2025).

        1. Actually, the ‘singing’ referred to the circumstances of Hunter facing prison BEFORE the ‘pardon’ was produced. Joe pardoned Hunter to prevent that ‘singing’.

As you point out, “Biden has pardoned his son Hunter for *any* crimes he “may” have committed between Jan. 1, 2014, and Dec. 1, 2024.” However, ANY hearings/trials of facilitators of the Biden criminal enterprise or coverup would NOT be covered. In fact, any activities revealed about Hunter at such hearings or trial could not be used against Hunter.

So, for example, say a facilitator at the FBI is found to have leaked sensitive government info to protect Biden(s) and it comes to hearing/trial. Hunter is called to substantiate/deny evidence/circumstances. Any info Hunter provides about his involvement can not be used against him as he has already been pardoned. However, that pardon for his actions does not cover anyone else involved in those actions. In fact, given the circumstances of the pardon, it seems unlikely that Hunter could even plead the 5th should such a situation even seem to arise. And if he refused to testify, he could be held in contempt as of the date of that refusal (which is not included in the effective dates of the ‘pardon’).

      2. He cannot be compelled to testtify. He can be required to show up. But, forcing him to testify against those who supposedly comitted a crime, whatever it is is is not going to be easy. He can still invoke his 5th amendment right to remain silent. If Hunter Biden is compelled by Congress to testify, he has the right not to answer any questions. He must show up, but he’s not required to answer any questions.

        1. Eau, contraire.
Hunter was given a blanket pardon. He runs no risk of self incrimination because he can’t incriminate himself under the terms of said pardon.
He can lie of course, and I have little doubt that he would, if push comes to shove.
But “taking the 5th” is not the avenue for escape that it would have been if not for the nature of this pardon.

            1. Ah yes, the Rosemont-Seneca slogan.
Deployed by many famous Dems and their supporters.
From Nancy Pelosi to James Comey and all the D.C. Swamp Critters in between.

        2. He cannot be compelled to testtify. He can be required to show up.

George the Confederate Constitutional Expert now claims The Bagman Son can refuse to testify by invoking the Fifth Amendment.

Fifth Amendment protections from all crimes his father has now provided him with a pardon shielding him from prosecution for. And here was The Bagman Son thinking he could no longer be prosecuted for any of those crimes thanks to the senior partner in Biden White House Crime LLC.

George The Curious Marxist Monkey needs to get his membership in the Internet Lawyers Bar revoked.

Alternately, he’s just continuing to be a pathetic and unbelievable liar.

      3. Do you think a druggie reprobate would stay silent with the threat serving years/decades in prison?

I doubt that druggie reprobate will stay silent IF subpoenaed by SERIOUS Republicans to be questioned under oath? He has no justification for refusing to answer and claiming Fifth Amendment protection. A serious Republican Attorney General isn’t going him to ignore subpoenas and walk away free as Professor Turley’s bestie Merrick Garland allowed him to.

For that matter, what special protection will Bribery Biden and his partner Bolshevik Barack have if there are SERIOUS Republicans wanting to uncover Biden White House Crime™ and find out how deeply the Obama bureaucracy and later Biden bureaucracy were involved? Those now wealthy private citizens can also be subpoenaed for interrogation under oath.

Of course, they can claim Executive Privilege. But Bribery Biden demonstrated to America what the current president can do to a former president’s Executive Privilege when he revoked Trump’s in order for his hitman Jack Smith to prosecute Trump.

Biden White House rejects more executive privilege claims by Trump
        https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/25/politics/executive-privilege-donald-trump-joe-biden/index.html

The good news: The ‘pardon’ does not covers all those in the FBI, DOJ, State and IRS that facilitated the Biden criminal enterprise.

Many of those felons in those bureaucracies are protected from criminal sanctions due to the statute of limitations on their crimes. The Obama/Biden Attorney Generals and FBI Directors that repeatedly committed the crimes of felony and uttering false documents to FISA courts are well beyond the five year statute of limitations for perjury.

They aren’t out of reach of SERIOUS Republicans wanting to expose to the public the rot and corruption that is the Democrat cancer in the unelected bureaucracy.

I don’t think much will happen. The overwhelming focus needs to be delivering on campaign promises for the American people. Not because that’s what they campaigned on intending to do, but also because if they don’t deliver, they will probably lose the House and possibly the Senate in the midterms less than two years away.

And with that aside, I don’t think there’s enough Republicans truly serious about cutting the criminal Democrat cancer out of the bureaucracies.

And that includes Trump. He undoubtedly has the courage and spine, but he also has a “let bygones be bygones” attitude towards even those who not only have tried to destroy his life but the lives of his family and close friends as well.

  16. All hat and no cattle, a Texas term. When 2020 came around and the democrats “won”, many of my fellow Texans wanted to secede and return to the nation status we had prior to joining the US. Can’t happen. Ignore them.

  17. Everyone of those poor sad democrats that wish to leave can do so. They can even secede but it has to be a personal secession where you sell all their goods and property and then move to Canada or the UK. See how they like that tax rate in the UK and Canada.
Personally I think there is some very useful land in New York and the upper Northeast and I think we can find some willing people to move there and rehabilitate the area. But the lady that was proposing this may be only confabulating her importance. Moving like that is a big deal. The only thing I would require is that they renounce their American Citizenship and make it irrevocable.
You see these people never really understood history. They think that secession is the answer. Well a secession of elites is never the answer because it just clears out the sclerosis at the top and leaves more room for the fresh and involved and the innovative.
Secession started with the Roman Republic when the Plebians got sick of the outrages perpetrated by the Patrician and Senatorial Class and so almost all the Plebians left Rome and settled on a hill outside. Suddenly the City came to a halt because those moronic Plebians knew that they did all the work and especially the grunt work of commerce. The city could not function without them. The Senators could not function without their clients. There were a series of successions over the years that gradually gave the Plebs more power such as 1 of the 2 Counsuls had to be a Plebian and the Plebian Tribunes (as well as the Plebian Counsuls) could veto an act or assignment of proconsuls and and other magistrates.
So let them go and literally make them start over from scratch. It’s good for the soul, so they tell me.
Does anybody really believe Old Joe wrote that pardon or was it written by the White House AI, probably from Google.
