The Joy is Gone: A Liberal Hate-Fest for the Holidays

Below is my column in The Hill on the rising rage of the holiday on the left as we approach the second Trump inauguration. From looking forward to harassment at restaurants to the purchase of Antifa-themed Christmas gifts, some appear to be planning for a hate-fest in the New Year.

Here is the column:

“May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.”

Those words, from Disney’s new Snow White actress Rachel Zegler, came shortly after half of the country, roughly 77 million Americans, voted for Donald Trump.

Only a few weeks ago, Kamala Harris and her supporters were rallying the country to choose “love over hate.” Now, the “joy” is gone. Tis the season of the liberal hate-fest.

As Washington prepares for the inauguration, we are seeing a return to rage.

During the first Trump administration, liberal servers and restaurant owners pledged not to serve Trump officials. Now, the Washingtonian is reporting on the planned resumption of the harassment of those serving in the Trump administration.

Zac Hoffman, manager at the National Democratic Club and “D.C. restaurant veteran,” told the magazine that abusing conservatives was only natural and understandable: “You expect the masses to just ignore RFK eating at Le Diplomate on a Sunday morning after a few mimosas and not to throw a drink in his face?”

One bartender stated that Trump people may “theoretically [have] the power to take away your rights, but I have the power to make you wait 20 minutes to get your entrée.”

Suzannah Van Rooy, a server and manager at Beuchert’s Saloon on Capitol Hill, declared that she would not serve some Trump officials. “It’s not, ‘Oh, we hate Republicans,’” she said. “It’s that this person has moral convictions that are strongly opposed to mine, and I don’t feel comfortable serving them.”

Beuchert’s later fired Van Rooy.

This campaign of hate is all too familiar to conservatives. Many remember when White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were kicked out of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. As others were denied service or chased from restaurants, Democratic members like Rep. Maxine Waters, D-CA, supported such harassment.

For those restaurants not willing to follow the Red Hen model, the response was equally unhinged. Mariya Rusciano runs a D.C. pizza restaurant. She posted congratulations to Trump on X after the election to encourage everyone to come together as a nation. The response from Democrats was furious, filled with pledges to boycott the restaurant and force it out of business.

It is not just service and civility that are scarce in Washington. Even while accusing Trump of putting his political and personal interests ahead of the nation, Biden is now reportedly moving to veto a bipartisan bill to relieve pressure on our overwhelmed court system.

The Judges Act, supported by both Democrats and Republicans, would add 66 new judgeships to an over-worked court system. The White House supported the bill right up until Trump won the election. While some Democrats are still trying to get the White House to change its mind, liberal groups are applauding the expected veto “to prevent President Trump from having more vacancies.”

If Biden carries out his threat, it will be not only gratuitous but illogical. The bill deliberately staggers the addition of judges over the next decade so that presidents of both parties will presumably be able to appoint them. Moreover, the Senate is still closely divided, and “blue-slipping” (whereby senators can hold up some nominations) remains in effect.

More importantly, the reason for this bipartisan effort is due to a dire need for our courts. Judges are drowning in dockets with rising caseloads. In 2004, the number of cases in district court pending for more than three years was 18,280. This year, there are 81,617.

If justice delayed is justice denied, our court system is becoming a tar pit of injustice, with litigants left without verdicts or relief for years.

The word of the intended veto stripped away any pretense of the White House putting the public interest before politics. A veto would put rage before reason.

In my recent bookI discussed how addictive rage is. People do not like to admit it, but they like being angry. Sometimes, people can choose madness as a release from reality. It offers a righteous license to slip from the bounds of civility and decency. It allows people to harass Republicans in restaurants or to scream profanities outside of their homes.

It allows a president to say that he might block judgeships for a struggling court system, just because he does not want his successor to make any of the appointments.

It is the reason 41 percent of adults under 30 believe that killing others, like healthcare executives, is justified, according to an Emerson College poll.

We cannot seem to shake this rage addiction even after an election or during a holiday committed to peace and understanding. One liberal site, Crooked Media, is actually selling holiday items featuring the violent extremist group Antifa — one of the most anti-free speech groups in history, which routinely attacks journalists, speakers, and conservative demonstrators.

Created by former Obama staffers Jon Favreau, Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor, the Crooked Media site is selling a line of Antifa items for liberals, including Antifa onesies for infants and “Antifa Dad” shirts to seemingly celebrate political violence.

It seems the joy, bipartisanship, and civility have all expired like last year’s eggnog.  Even Disney’s new Snow White seems to have taken the cue from the Evil Queen and treated this election as “a blast of wind to fan my hate.”

And we are not even at the inauguration yet.

  1. OT – after pardoning one of the kids-for-cash judges* Biden has now commuted the death sentences of 37 of the 40 inmates on federal death row. The only three he did not commute are the a’h0le Boston Marathon bomber, the a’h0le who shot up the synagogue in Pittsburgh, and the a’h0le who shot up a Black church.

*Michael Conahan. Why would he pardon Conahan? None, other than that Conahan is well connected with the mafia, as can be seen by the fact that that Biden did not pardon Mark Ciavarella who does not have the same level of mafia connections.

    1. If you were one of the three omitted from the pardon, you must be asking yourself: “What’s wrong with me.” Maybe they contributed money to Trump.

      1. The reason is: the puppet masters – Biden is brain-dead so no decisions can be attributed to him – at least knew how unpopular it would be to commute the sentences of those three who are more infamous than the rest: South Carolina Black-church shooter, Pittsburgh Synagogue shooter, and Boston Marathon bomber.

        1. The White House receptionists are having fun making Presidential decisions. Won’t be long before they catch on and go on strike.

    2. we need more of that type of response to these thugs demonstrating for concepts that they really don’t even understand – they are professional agitators for the most or just naive tools with nothing else to do with their empty lives. Perhaps if they had to work…

  2. OT: This is the type of moral behavior that is now expected from the left and most Democrats. It is an indirect action from cowards afraid to look at what is happening and the responsibility of Biden for many deaths. Just listen to the typical leftist hater on the blog like Gig, George Svelaz and Dennis. They never involve themselves in the truth. such people are the cause of such hateful actions. All of them should face rebuke from any normal individual.

“Fiend accused of burning woman to death on NYC subway is illegal migrant from Guatemala who sneaked into US after he was deported.

    By Published Dec. 23, 2024 Updated Dec. 23, 2024, 9:37 a.m. ET

The Guatemalan migrant accused of setting a sleeping F train passenger on fire and then watching as she burned to death sneaked into the country illegally after being deported — and then stayed in the New York City shelter system, multiple sources confirm to The Post.

      1. Pick up a dictionary and find the definition of the word you are tragically misusing. The only attempted genocide going on in that region is the idiots screaming “from the rive to the sea.”

          1. Hamas and empathetic supporters are enthusiastic defenders of using women and children as human shields. #HateLovesAbortion

              1. The Hur/DOJ report found a Democratic representative/leader/POTUS stole secret government documents, revealed/sold the information contained on those documents for personal gain and all the while improperly stored those government documents in multiple unsecured locations.

                #DemocraticPartyValues

              2. Doesn’t appear to be much “there” there. You do realize that whenever someone even just barely of adult age dates someone under that age, engages in consensual sex with that person, and gives them gifts, the activity could be characterized as “statutory rape” of a juvenile under 18, do you not? Cocaine and ecstasy use is not ideal, but not a huge deal to me, and that issue should have been left to the voters. I see that report as nothing but Deep State Republican revenge for Gaetz’ role in the justifiable ouster of RINO Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House.

                1. “. . . whenever someone even just *barely of adult age* dates someone under that age, engages in consensual sex with that person, and gives them gifts, the activity could be characterized as “statutory rape” of a juvenile under 18 . . .” (emphasis added)

That is completely false. See the various state laws.

              3. The report is meaningless much like you and other anonymous persons. The DOJ didn’t find evidence and didn’t prosecute. That and the ability of Congressional members to slander another without being sued is part of the reason the report should considered trash.

            1. Hamas and empathetic supporters are enthusiastic defenders of using women and children as human shields.

So, if you are a patron in a bank when I choose to rob it at gunpoint, and I grab you and use you as a shield to try to escape, it is legally, morally, and ethically acceptable for the cops to waste you to get to me?

      2. Murder, rape-rape, rape (e.g. sodomy), torture-torture, and abductions in the pursuit of social progress is no ethical vice.

The problem is Hamasidols, their use of women and children as human shields, and empathetic supporters. First, they came for Fatah.

That said, Hamasidols operate and are funded through the Obama/Biden/Clinton ethnic Spring series under the Diversity umbrella.

        1. Diversity rains drugs & female teens under the umbrellas of conservatives.

“Matt Gaetz, the former Florida Congressman President-elect Donald Trump nominated to serve as U.S. Attorney General, had sex with a 17-year-old in 2017, when he was 35, and then paid her, according to multiple news reports.”

Save us anymore of your bullsheet illogic and go out and save young girls from Republicans

          1. Save us anymore of your bullsheet illogic and go out and save young girls from Republicans

You blew your chance to save a young Ashley Biden from having incest forced on her by Vice President Biden. Long before Gaetz.

You blew your chance to save young children visiting the White House being fondled and molested by Vice President Biden, the Pedophile In Chief. Long before Gaetz.

You blew your chance to stop Vice President Biden writing cheques to pay for his son using underage Russian whores. Long before Gaetz.

Save us anymore of your cowardly Anonymous Democrat diarrhea of Adam Bull Schiff pretending to have anything remotely close to morals.

This is why the only way you cowards will post is as “Anonymous”.

            Old Airborne Dog

          2. Do you remember anthony weiner? ted kennedy? lbj? The grossness of so many democrats would take volumes to expose but you think a man having sex with a 17 year old who probably passed herself off as 19-20 is the ultimate disqualifier? And just how did kamala rise to such a position in california politics???? Hypocrisy – your name is democrat.

      3. If the Muslims lay down their arms there will be peace. If the Jews lay down their arms there will be a massacre.

      4. Now do Israelis commiting genocide of Palestinians

It’s great to have an Anonymous Democat coward here as a spokesman for the New Hitler Youth wing of the Party. We would prefer to get the details from either of Josef Goebbel’s replacements, Ilhan Omar and Rashid Tlaib, but you will do.

Can you help enlighten us on the history of Palestine and Palestinians by telling us a couple of the names of past Palestinian kings, emperors, etc… and roughly which century they reigned in?

I know why you cowardly Democrat Nazis will only post under ‘Anonymous’.

        Old Airborne Dog

      5. Thank you for answering the question. You are the type of coward I was talking about above. You can’t even carry a consistent alias. You are also stupid because you don’t know what genocide is. In other words you are a stupid coward.

May the Israelis kill every living Palestinian terrorist who doesn’t lay down his guns. That is what should be done, but you are too stupid to know that.

  3. –Only love for the good Professor Turley.
He takes the time every day to make sure we have something to think about and express in a safe environment. He deserves the very best from us in return.
Hope everyone’s car starts in the mornings, no dogs lifting their legs on the Christmas tree, no mislabeling the packages and giving Grandmother some sexy nightwear, no sliding into the neighbor’s mailbox or taking down his fence, no forgetting your way home after a few hot toddies, no poopie pants in the little ones…no cats chewing on the strings of electric lights, and NO hatred for someone who didn’t vote the way you did.
Peace and good will to all my fellow commenters, even the goofy ones. Affection, lin.

  4. Gaetz paid over $90,000 to 12 different women for sex.

    How pathetic and sad!!!!!

Apart from the immorality, it is particularly sad that the only way he can get women to have sex with him is to pay them.

What a miserable, pathetic excuse for a human being.

    1. Damn, my Wife just said she gonna have to raise her prices!
1st. Marvin Mitchelson (the American celebrity lawyer who pioneered the concept of “palimony”, calling it “marriage with no rings attached”),
Now Gaetz just forking it out.
Guys, you can’t win for loosing!

    2. BFD, If it was Gaetz’s own money, then he did us all a favor in as much as the rest of Capitol Hill just uses “our” tax money to cover their indiscretions.

“Congress paid out $17 million in settlements. Here’s why we know so little about that money.”
      — By MJ Lee, Sunlen Serfaty and Juana Summers, CNN,
Updated 8:10 PM EST, Thu November 16, 2017

“Two things have become painfully clear on Capitol Hill this week: Lawmakers and staffers say sexual harassment is “rampant” – but even members of Congress have no idea just how widespread the problem is.”

      https://www.cnn.com/2017/11/16/politics/settlements-congress-sexual-harassment/index.html

      1. Don’t you think it is sad and pathetic that the only way he can get women to have sex with him is by paying them ????

Saying that he used his own money is just a pathetic attempt to justify his actions and muddy the waters.

The point is that he, like you, is a miserable pathetic human being.

        1. There are men and women who will abort their “burden” of evidence for social, clinical, criminal, political, and climate progress. Pathetic, maybe. Wicked, certainly.

There are men who will identify as the female sex, feminine gender, to get in women’s faces, spaces. Yeah, pathetic.

          1. What exactly does this have to do with Gaetz having to pay women for sex ??

Are you saying that prostitution is perfectly fine because some men think they are women.
What exactly is the logical connection here??
If you think that this somehow justifies prostitution I suggest you seek professional help.

The bottom line is that Gaetz has to pay women to have sex with him.
            That is sad and pathetic.

            1. * Business transaction instead of an emotional investment. Men have worked hard at freeing women , prenups, no contest divorces, jobs for women, birth control and abortion to name a few and they’re still paying 90 thou. Go figure.

            2. There have been temple prostitutes since the beginning of time – human nature, you understand; but only pagan religions through babies into burning cauldrons out of some demonic concept of redemption. I find the prostitution just a part of human nature but killing babies is a societal abomination yet you prefer laws to protect that crime while whining about a man doing what women willingly sell for money. Why aren’t you clutching your pearls over women using their bodies to make money in a free society? You seem to cherry-pick your outrage in order to more securely frame your tainted agenda.

        2. What is pathetic is that the leftist pay for their sex workers with our tax money from the Capitol Hill slush fund to the tune of nearly 20 million a year, and that hypocrites with no moral values themselves think nothing of that. And then there’s Fang-Fang.

          1. I presume that you include Gaetz in that group of “hypocrites with no moral values” of which you speak.

I love it when MAGA cultists twist themselves into pretzels to justify the moral failings of their members.

        3. Sad and pathetic are the liberals forcing young women to share their bathrooms and locker rooms with men. No one in my family will ever accept that as “normal”. Liberals are sick!

          1. So it is a problem when young women share bathrooms, but it is perfectly fine to rape them.

            Got it.

            Family values in action.

            1. So it is a problem when young women share bathrooms, but it is perfectly fine to rape them

              1. Men dangling their junk in front of little girls while claiming they are women does not make them other “young women sharing bathrooms”.

              2. It’s perfectly fine with Woke Democrats that VP Biden raped his teenage daughter Ashley in the shower.

              3. It’s equally perfectly fine that, Hunter was balling his sister in law before the body of his brother, her husband, was cold in the ground. More Biden Family Incest Is Best.

Biden Deviant Sex Family Values in action.

        4. Don’t you think it is sad and pathetic that the only way he can get women to have sex with him is by paying them ????

Not nearly as sad and pathetic as Democrats who aren’t the slightest bit bothered that Vice President Biden could only get women to have sex with him by raping his daughter in the shower.

Apparently Dr. Jill had cut Vice President Biden off following too many episodes of seeing him molesting other peoples’ wives and children in the White house.

        5. I would presume that you support the murder of the unborn since you seem to cleave to the progressive agenda so heartily. I would rather just know a guy who procures joy from a (as AOC wants to call them – sex workers) than to know a woman who killed a living separate individual growing within her uterus.

    3. * 90 thousand? An adolescent’s dream? So you think it was overpriced. Lot more than a hamburger and fries as a going rate.

It’s scandal at this point. He resigned.

    4. Gaetz paid over $90,000 to 12 different women for sex. How pathetic and sad!!!!

Vice President Biden didn’t pay his teenage daugher Ashley a dime of Chicom bribe money for the incest he forced her into during showers.

Vice President Biden paid his son over $30,000 of that Chicom bribe money to pay for The Crackhead Kid’s underage Russian whores.

Not only is that pathetic and sad, but what’s more pathetic and sad is that cowardly Anonymous Democrats just kept voting for it. While now they hope to convince people that they have something resembling a uniform set of morals and principles.

Big failure there – and why you cowards will only post your pathetic hypocrisy under “Anonymous”.

      Old Airborne Dog

    5. And how much did hunter pay? and with money grifted from whom and to the detriment of our national security – really…get off you high horse and look in the mirror at just what it means to support democrats at this point and time (you know the party of the KKK, lynchings and strom thruman.

  5. Here’s a novel idea that would help relieve “an overworked court system”: work overtime. Both attorneys and judges.

  6. We need much more media coverage of these hate-filled acts. Let these fanatics expose their true nature to the world instead of just within their own cloister. The more the adults of the nation can see and reflect on the words and deeds the better understanding we will have of the vile nature of them. And that barbarous act of murder yesterday on the NYC subway by a guatamalan immigrant and hochul’s inept response just underscores they very incompetence of them too.

  7. when are the republicans going to start jailing the 1000’s of democrats criminals for their crimes?

    1. So true; my husband and I had this discussion last night. I said that being a democrat was a sign of stupidity and he correctly countered that they weren’t stupid, just morally corrupt but you have put a better spin on it – while there are a few who are genuinely naive do-gooders, the rest are evil.

    2. “Evil” as the only possibility? What about ignorance or stupidity?
Broad programs/solutions with appealing titles and lofty goals often have much support until it is realized that there is no substance (remember ‘no child left behind’? or how about ‘the party of the common man’). And that approach has been the Democratic Party/RINO method for generations.
Most people want to believe their leaders are doing the ‘right thing’. Not surprisingly, their families/friends/associates want to believe that as well. With a fake media and corrupt leadership, unsurprisingly those people are typically left in the dark for a long time. My guess is you and the rest of us will fare better in changing their “vote” with convincing arguments and successful acts rather than accusing them of being “evil”.

      1. Have you ever tried to have a “logic” based discussion with a fanatic prog/left, totally indoctrinated tool? Your approach sounds wise but it doesn’t work with them any more than a logical discussion about the rights of all people to not believe in islam – remember those guys who flew planes into our towers – could you have a logical discussion with them or their counterparts here in America AKA Antifa, BLM, or the new “free Palestine brigade”?

        1. I direct your attention to the word “Most” in the comment. If I meant ‘All’, I would have stated it. And ‘All’ is rarely applicable in any aspect of human social interactions. In fact, the Turley article demonstrates nicely what label is properly given to people that typically use ‘All’ in their approach to labeling others: bigots.
With respect to your ‘discussion’ question, the answer is ‘yes’. And they (as in multiple) vocally supported and supposedly voted for Trump this time. And the results speak for themselves. Parenthetically, I don’t think those folks would have responded to being called “evil”, a “fanatic prog/left” or a “totally indoctrinated tool”. However, I have heard them say that they ‘cannot believe that they ever followed the Democratic Party lead on anything’. The proof is in the pudding and I doubt the sea change on 11-5-24 was due to people responding to name calling.

  8. It has been stated by others but bears repeating: things are different this time. We wholeheartedly rejected all of this in November – this is isn’t going to work again. All these people are doing is putting themselves out of business, just as others put themselves out of office with their reprehensible behavior and mentality.

They are certainly free to carry on if they wish, but their blind hatred has no place in what we are creating. It is abundantly clear there will likely never be any cognizance or accountability for what has happened to the modern left on their own part, such is their hubris. C’est la vie, and thanks for advertising the places we should avoid giving our hard earned dollars.

Indeed, they collectively just went too much, much too far. Collectively, the modern left is insane.

  9. Play the strong cards you have:
-Abused by a business or employee because they don’t agree with what they perceive are your politics? Be prepared to video the abuse, post it and encourage others to avoid biased businesses. You owe it to ALL your fellow citizens to inform them about businesses that support bigots.
-Believe you are subjected to longer waits at businesses because of your perceived politics? Get online, post the wait times along with server’s ID and manager’s name. Every business that provides lousy service deserves to die.
-Encounter a person displaying Antifa paraphernalia in public or on the job? Snap a pic and post it. That pic will live forever online! And citizens deserve to be informed about interacting with potential terrorists or businesses that support terrorists. That is exactly how it was done when citizens had to finally deal with the last iteration of the Democratic Party’s prior paramilitary wing, the Klu Klux Klan. Did you see Robert Byrd bragging about his membership in the Klan in the decades before he died? Do you see the Democratic Party bragging about that now? Nope. They had to drop the KKK and buddy up with Antifa.

Show these cowards the light of day and the strength of publicizing bigoted business practices. Let theses businesses sink pandering to a base that wants to be identified as bigots. Does such an approach work? Check out how well the Red Hen restaurant worked out for that owner. (Hint: RIP)

    1. I just read the wiki page on this restaurant and they have rebranded under a new name in the same location but I am sure their attitude and clientele have remained the same. Prog/left liberals are like cockroaches, they just resurface in another crack in the wall. The cure for this country is a full-throated fumigation of all the cockroaches infesting our nation.

  10. Isn’t it interesting how enemies and friends change? My father was a World War 2 veteran who was in the South Pacific, Guadalcanal, Munda, etc. repairing the F4 Corsairs that had been shot up (and down) during war with Japan. He was on the Navy side of Henderson Field, but his crew did work on the Marine aviators’ planes, namely the Black Sheep Squadron. The Japanese and the Germans were his enemies. Now they are our friends. When I was growing up our enemies were the Soviets and Vietnamese. Then, the Russians and Vietnamese are our friends, until we were told the Russians were now our enemies again. I traveled through Iran in the 1970s when they were our friends and now they are our enemies.

There is a theme here. There is always someone in the background whipping up the hatred, egging on the masses. In today’s world, we are glued to our devices and sometimes spellbound. Unless we get to the heart of the truth, we are as gullible as the next person in our emotions.

There is a great movie, “Into the White” based on a true story that took place in World War 2. Two planes (British and German) were shot down but not destroyed in the arctic region of Scandinavia. The survivors from each side barely made it to a cabin in the wilderness. Without this refuge from the storm, a person would die. The story goes as you might predict, they hated each other at first but they had no choice for survival. Then they realized that they had the same emotions, loneliness, missing home, missing family, etc. Eventually, they became respectful of each other and after the war, the officers from each side became friends.

What a sad state of affairs mankind has made of this world. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we could listen to each other’s concerns and in a rational manner hammer out a solution?

I don’t think this election was about one person or the other, in my opinion, there were a majority of people seeking to return the world a little closer to sanity. I don’t think most people want to blow up our country and “fundamentally change American culture.”

    1. These are complicated circumstances. The calls here for us to be petty and retributional like Democrats has an appeal, especially if it gets Democrats’ attention, but it puts us in their clothes. Somehow, we need to both expose their wrongdoings and avoid imitating them. There is hope in the presidential election, but confusion in the House’s. Many people still think, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that Democrats are sweethearts, as we recognize them today as the most hateful party in our lifetimes. Our GOP has to overcome divisions to get good legislation through the House. The Freedom Caucus and Rand Paul need to modify their goals for perfection so that we can pass the Good if not the Best.

    2. You always have to keep in mind that the controversies/wars are typically over ideology and/or power, and/or criminal activity. The exact ratio of those components is never known…. least of all by citizens that depend on virtuous leaders and a functional free press to deliver them critical information. As in your example from “Into the White”, you have to assume the the worst possibility may happen, BUT never assume that is the only possible outcome. Otherwise, you will miss opportunities….even to survive.

    3. E.M.
Great comment. Gotta wonder about a group of people who would tell others to cut off friends and family over an election.

  11. A Diversity (i.e. color judgment, class bigotry) or hate festival. Rainbow rhetoric and symbols in human context (i.e. albinophobia). Liberalism is a philosophy of divergence. Progressivism is a philosophy of [unqualified) monotonic change. Conservativism is a philosophy of moderation. Principles matter. #HateLovesAbortion

  12. As long as every effort is successfully made to secure our electoral process, then this problem will resolve itself.

    1. You are assuming that a secure electoral process can be achieved with the current bureaucracy in charge???? Before we can save this nation we must fumigate our many levels of governments of all agenda-driven bureaucrats before we can assure us of anything approaching secure.

      1. You are assuming that a secure electoral process can be achieved with the current bureaucracy in charge????

What part of every effort would not include successfully dealing with the current bureaucracy? Assuming Trump’s America First agenda achieves it’s goals, a secure electoral process will expand the base of voters who’s lives have been positively impacted by that agenda.

  13. Kewl story! Lindy Li is escaping from the Democrat Cult!

“”This past week has been harrowing for me,” Li told Piers Morgan in Wednesday’s episode. “This Saturday, I went on ‘Fox & Friends’ and I said ‘Democrats have a stench of loser hanging over them.’ As soon as I said that, there were boycott campaigns against me. Unblock, unfollow campaigns.”

Li told “Fox & Friends” that she felt Harris was “indulging in delusions” of making a political comeback amid party buzz of the vice president staging a 2026 gubernatorial or 2028 presidential run and that the Democratic Party was plagued by the “stench of loser” after November’s defeat.

The comment cost her forty thousand followers in four days and prompted an onslaught of slanderous attacks from Democrats, the same people she spent her whole career defending, she told Morgan.

“People have called me a whore, the ‘C-word.’ They asked for me to be deported…,” she revealed.

Li said she was also accused of working as a “communist spy.” The accusation was particularly offensive to her, she said, considering her family history.

“They’re calling me a spy for the regime that killed my great-grandfather and these are the people who call themselves the social justice warriors,” she told Morgan. “They’re going headfirst into racism anytime someone dares to disagree with them. I want to be a part of the team that says men are men and women are women and men shouldn’t play in women’s sports.

“All these so-called Democrats, the party of inclusion, the party of diversity, masks off. And it’s even worse because they pretend to occupy the moral high ground,” she said. “They pretend to be so loving and caring and embracing of diversity but all of a sudden, when I dare to utter any criticisms of the goddess Kamala Harris, I get ostracized. Me, after having raised tens of millions of dollars for the party.”

She continued, “My donors are pissed…it’s my responsibility to ask what the hell happened with their money…these are legitimate questions, but no, in the cult, you can’t ask questions. And leaving the Democratic Party or even questioning the Democratic Party is like leaving a cult. It’s terrifying. I don’t want to be a part of this craziness anymore. They’re accelerating my rightward shift.”

    1. Linda Li is an opportunist! Check out what she has said about Trump and Republicans in the not too distant past.

I am all for the big tent, but people like Linda Li cannot be trusted as she will turn against Republicans the second there is a problem that looks bad for Trump.

  14. “… In my recent book, I discussed how addictive rage is. People do not like to admit it, but they like being angry. Sometimes, people can choose madness as a release from reality. It offers a righteous license to slip from the bounds of civility and decency….”

Hypocrisy and Rage are intrinsically entwined. People are ‘outraged’ at the ‘hypocrisy’ but then they condone the hypocrisy with hypocrisy of their own, They Condone Violence with Violence all the while missing the Point (lost in the rage).
The ‘Point’ being the: Issue* is accused/construed of something it is not.

*The Narrative, The Person, The Situation, The Reality

    And so it is …

    1. Where, in your formula, do you refer to patient, well balanced moral character rather than the immediate rage of toddlers?

  15. I only have one quibble with Jonathan Turley on this post, I don’t think it’s a “liberal hate fest”, I think it’s a “progressive hate fest”. Yes, yes, yes, I know that using that word “progressive” is an oxymoron to describe these hate filled people, they are truly regressive. I also know that there are many liberals that have flushed their classic liberal ideals and have joined in the extreme left chorus and they’re now “progressives” even though they’re falsely hiding behind the cloak if “liberal.

I wrote about this same left transitioning to violence a couple of days ago, On The 76th Day of Election…, here’s an excerpt…

“We’ve now had forty-six of those seventy-six days pass and we’re beginning to see the denial and depression shifting to something a bit different. This is a very similar pattern to what we saw between November 2016 thru January 2017 but it’s a bit more pronounced eight years later. These people are completely brainwashed and cannot let go of their hate, and that is exactly what all the scorched earth, fear mongering, and bald-faced Defamation Level Propaganda (DLP) was intended to do. Yes, I really do think they brainwashed those gullible, bias makes you stupid, ignorant hacks suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). What we’re beginning to see, again, is the wailing and crying eyes are turning into furled eyebrows, snarling teeth, pure hate, with a distant glare of death in their eyes. It seems to me like some of the political left are now a few psychological bricks short of a complete load and they just might start throwing the few bricks they have left in violent protest against Donald Trump taking office, similar to what they did in January 2017.”

“On The 76th Day of Election my rioter brought to me… violence in the streets.”

    I hope I’m wrong.

    1. spot on. Just harken back to what other dictatorial regimes did, USSR, CCP, islamic madrasas, US institutions of higher (indoctrination camps) learning. The preyed on the weakest and most naive to use them as tools to cement their rule by intimidation and fear. I thought that the founding fathers provided a barrier against this but when we start condemning our constitution we have already lost the battle.
