A poll from The New York Times and Ipsos recently found that the voters see the Democratic Party as prioritizing issues that are not priorities in their own lives. That view was only likely reinforced this weekend in the selection of the Chair and Vice Chair of the Democratic Party. The Democratic leadership doubled down on the very issues identified by the Times as leaving voters disassociated from the party. As someone raised in a liberal Democratic family in Chicago, the continued emphasis on identity politics and far-left policies is bizarre and baffling.
The New York Times published a story titled “Most Americans Say the Democratic Party Does Not Share Their Priorities” that notes:
Asked to identify the Democratic Party’s most important priorities, Americans most often listed abortion, L.G.B.T.Q. rights and climate change, according to a poll from The New York Times and Ipsos conducted from Jan. 2 to 10.
The issues that people cited as most important to them personally were the economy and inflation, health care and immigration, the poll found. The kinds of social causes that progressive activists have championed in recent years ranked much lower.
That was evident from the start of the DNC election, highlighted appropriately by an MSNBC host.
Notably, Kamala Harris is reportedly consulting with Hillary Clinton on how to address her defeat. It was a telling turn since Clinton seemed to blame everyone from James Comey, self-hating women, Russians, Bernie Sanders, and misogynists for her defeat. That comes after many of us noted that Harris was re-running the same Clinton campaign with identity politics at the forefront and refusing to answer questions on key issues.
It appears that Harris is not the only one relying on the Clinton handbook for spinning defeat with more identity politics. At the outset, MSNBC host (and Washington Post writer) Jonathan Capehart asked who “believes that racism and misogyny played a role in Vice President Harris’s defeat.”
Every single candidate declared that the election was indeed the result, at least in significant part, of “racism and misogyny.” That included Marianne Williamson, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, DNC Vice Chair Ken Martin, Wisconsin Democrat party Chair Ben Wikler, former Bernie Sanders campaign manager Faiz Shakir, former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official Nate Snyder, and Newton, Massachusetts Democratic City Committee executive member Jason Paul.
Not one noted that Harris was an awful candidate who refused to do anything other than the most favorable, controlled interviews. Even James Carville (who predicted Harris would defeat Trump) had an increasingly rare moment of clarity after the election. Carville called for a moment of “honesty” and said “We ran a presidential election, if we were playing a Super Bowl, we started our 7th string quarterback. That’s what happened, okay?”He added that it would have helped to have a presidential candidate who could “actually complete a sentence.”
Even the outgoing DNC chair Jaime Harrison declared last week that it was a mistake to go with Harris and that they had a better chance just sticking with Joe Biden despite his obvious mental decline. That is brutal.
However, it went from bad to worse as critics lampooned the DNC as becoming a parody of itself from a singing pitch for Chair to an explanation of gender rules that left many perplexed.
The DNC then elected a chair in Ken Martin, the longtime leader of Minnesota’s far left Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, who demanded for Trump to be tried for treason after the Russian bounty controversy (which was contested by the Trump Administration).
They then added David Hogg, 24, as Vice Chair, a far left advocate who previously called on the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be abolished and for the defunding of police. Hogg’s selection is particularly curious after an election where immigration proved a major issue favoring the GOP. Hogg has also called the NRA a “terrorist organization.” His reason for the NRA designation? January 6th: “The NRA needs to be designated a terrorist organization for the role their supporters played in staging an insurrectionist coup.”
The Democratic Party has become a ship of fools. I previously worked Democratic campaigns from Ted Kennedy to Mo Udall to many Illinois candidates. The party was truly a party of the middle class with centrist values, including support for free speech. It cannot seem to break from identity politics as its primary focus and reason for being. Worse yet, it is “reimagining” the 2024 election in a way to keep reality within a comfort zone.
Many of us want to see a stronger and more centrist Democratic party. Yet, there is an irresistible impulse to push the same button despite every indication that it is a really bad idea:
The irony is that MSNBC’s host led this effort by asking every candidate to attribute the loss in part to racism and misogyny. The ratings of MSNBC and CNN cratered after the election and Fox routinely exceeds both networks combined in audience figures, including the coveted 25-54 demographic. Yet, Jonathan Capehart wanted to start with a group homage of identity politics. When everyone replied robotically in the affirmative, Capehart replied “That’s good, you all passed.”
Indeed, they did, but that was hardly the test.

Trump learned a new word today
Groceries
What is this guy. A 1st grader learning to read?
See trump run, see trump jump, trump is a bully, trump can read
ATS – you don’t matter anymore.
When you say “Trump” – nearly everyone knows what follows is a lie
With respect to the “Bully” nonsense.
Lets be clear – numerous analysts – including some on the left have pointed out that Mexico is in danger of becoming a failed Narco State.
Before Trump threatened Tarrifs to give Sheinbaum some spine, numerous geopolitical analysts have pointed out that one of the most serious national security threats to the US is the growing power of Cartels in Mexico.
You have two choices – Trump can “bully” Mexicon into dealing with its problems NOW – with our help,
or in a year or 5 under Trump or the next president democrat or republican, the problem of Mexico gets dealt with by the US Military.
Which would you prefer ?
Better to deal with the problem now when it is smaller – and that includes Canada, than later when it is much larger.
A word that was foreign to the Biden administration
Hmmm. Apparently, Never-Trumper, Bill Kristol, has been getting money from The Deep State –
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/bill-kristol-admits-quiet-part-out-loud-deep-state-far-preferable-trump-state
So Trump has made a deal with Canada and is postponing the tariffs.
Of course, Trudeau has rolled him for the sucker he is.
The plan for securing the border in Canada had already been made and implemented back in December.
https://www.canada.ca/en/public-safety-canada/news/2024/12/the-government-of-canadas-border-plan-significant-investments-to-strengthen-border-security-and-our-immigration-system.html
Trump claims he made a “deal” with Canada today in response to his tariff threats.
Problem is, everything he demanded was already in the plan from December, and Canada is already implementing the plan.
What a sucker !!!!
ATS – Trudeau rolled no one. Trump got what he wanted for now – and contra your claims he made Trudeau look weak – which he is.
Trudeau will be gone soon. Replaced by someone much tougher and less stupid, but who also understands that it is in Canada’s best interests to not piss off the US.
Oh God! Pleased can we just rest a moment? All this winning is making my face hurt from smiling so much. Just spread it out a bit …but do not stop!
Isn’t it amazing that the Democrats immediately attack anything that Trump does for the country? They don’t care about the country, they care about themselves. They don’t even take the time to review what his order may be, it’s sometimes the same thing they had previously implemented themselves. It truly is pathetic.
Free Derek Chauvin!
Why is President Elmo Muskrat so intent on shutting down USAID ??
Why the interest in an obscure agency that simply supplies basic food to starving people around the world??
And why is Putin heaping praise on Muskrat for this action ??
Why would Putin want to see USAID shut down???
Maybe because USAID been buying grain from Ukraine to distribute to starving people.
Ukraine is by far the largest country in Europe and is Europe’s bread basket.
They produce 40% of the grain in Europe and 10% of world production.
If USAID is shut down then Ukraine is deprived of a customer for it’s grain, and loses the money it needs to fight the war.
Putin is obviously pleased to see this happening.
It is highly likely that it is Putin’s idea, and Muskrat and Trump are simply doing his bidding.
So why are American taxpayers subsidizing grain purchases from the Ukraine and distributing to starving people? With $37T in debt I would not think that is where Americans want their tax dollars spent. Let Europe fund their own wars. Fuggem
The US should not be doing that. But the truth is IT ISN’T.
During the Biden admin USAID in Gaza was exposed as collaporating with Hamas to smuggle in Weapons.
USAID was (now) an unaccountable cesspit of fraud and corruption, ntm being a money laundering accomplice in illicit CIA foreign manipulations and regime changes. It has now been folded into the US Department of State, with which its official mission was entirely redundant. The result should be a tremendous saving of taxpayer dollars and one less rogue agency undermining the interests and will of The People.
If what you say about the CIA using USAID for its own purposes is true, then what exactly is the problem with that.
Do you object to the CIA doing its job of spying on our adversaries and trying to manipulate them?
If the USAID is really a useful tool for the CIA, then we need to keep it.
Or would you like to see Trump destroy the CIA, as well as the FBI.
Perhaps you would like to see Trump turn over our covert spying operations to his best buddy PutIn and the KGB.
That would save a lot of money, wouldn’t you agree.
A lot more money than simply shutting down USAID.
ATS USAID was not spying on our adversaries it was participating in foreign Coups.
Can you name a single foreign Coup the US has been involved in that turned out well ?
There are a tiny number of US intelligence coups that have been beneficial to the US since WWII – and those were either people within hostile regimes who contacted the US, or special operations missions such as tapping undersea Russia cables in the Cold War.
Is there even a country that USAID serves that we should be spying on ? Honestly ? Is ANYTHING in africa of consequence to US national security ?
Truman created the CIA, and after leaving office he said it was the worst mistake he made as president.
Truman was a democrat.
Yes, I would shutdown the CIA. I would have done so decades ago.
The most important Intelligence gathering the US does is through the NSA.
They run the communications interceptions. Few of us object to NSA intercepting any and all communications they can manage between foreigners. We only care when they do so in the US between US citizens and without a warrant.
NSA also runs all US Spy satelites, as well as all reconasiance flyovers. That was incredibly useful during the cold war – and our capabilities are incredible. But it is getting less impressive by the day. Today you can buy the same intelligence on the private market – information that is valuable to nations is also valuable to multinational companies. It was private intelligence that determined that North Korea was much farther ahead in ICBM’s than the CIA claimed. Today private intelligence is providing information sometimes on Youtube to private think tanks and to the public on things like the Ukraine war.
You want to know how large the Russian stockpile of Tanks is ? The president can ask the NSA or CIA – btu you and I will never learn the answer. But dozens of experts are pouring over satlelite images of russian sorage fascilities and providing real time assessments of how rapidly russia is degrading. At enormous expense the NSA is telling the president – what private analysts are telling Ukraine, global corporations, the media, and the US public directly. And the results get debated in public.
No we do not need the CIA or even the NSA or the FBI.
Because Congress has no power to tax for or fund USAID.
Try reading Article 1, Section 8.
It’s called “the law” – fundamental law.
ATS – you are clueless – No USAID is not some benign food charity – it is a maligangant cancer full of graft and sinecure’s for the left.
Less thqat 10% of what is given to USAID ever gets to the hands of its intended recipients.
Further Going after USAID was brilliant – because so very many Democrats have their fingers in the USAID cookie jar.
Of Course their terrified at what Musk is finding.
Just Shut it down.
And everything that looks like it.
It is marvelous to see these types of commentaries now being made available. Hopefully they will help rid the United States of the parasites and the cultists that comprise the Democrats and MSM. Democrats have done irreparable harm to America. They need to be driven back into Hell from which their demonic spirits were unleashed.
Qualifications, Not Quotas | Exposing DEI in the U.S. Secret Service
https://www.iwfeatures.com/documentary/rashid-ellis/
Rashid Ellis has spent years serving with honor, proving himself a leader in the United States Secret Service.
But now he’s speaking out against failed DEI policies that have undermined the Secret Service’s readiness and mission.
Ellis experienced the consequences of these policies directly. When it came time for a well-earned promotion, Ellis was passed over for someone less experienced due to the USSS’s institutionalized goal of 30% female hires. Ellis had the qualifications, but the agency chose its quota instead.
According to Ellis, this discriminatory quota system has fostered resentment, undermined morale, and prioritized identity over merit in an agency where hiring decisions are a matter of life and death.
Plus, now Canada has decided to help protect the border!
Update (4:40pm ET): In what is a carbon copy of Trump’s tariff-delaying deal with Mexico, moments ago Canada’s outgoing PM, Justin Trudeau, said that he too had bent the knee, i.e. had a “good call” with Trump, and that US tariffs on Canada would be paused for 30 days after Canada – just like Mexico – agreed to send 10,000 troops to the border as part of a $1.3 billion border plan which “reinforces the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl”.
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/trade-war-over-mexican-president-says-tariffs-delayed-month-after-deploying-10000-troops
Trudeau didn’t bend the knee. He asked Dennis/George/Gigi to borrow some of their Crisco so that he could bend over. Alas, the most masculine men the DNC could place in leadership positions were Ken Martin & David Hogg. Then there is this movie clip I had never seen. Applies to Democrats right now 110%. Watch till the end.
And a segment constituting 12% of the population shall be featured in 100% of the scenes on TV and in films.
Excellent
I am not specifically familiar with the SS and Ellis but there have been a large number of studies of the effect of DEI in business – which si oneof the reasons that Businesses started shutting it down.
Who would have thought that telling people to shutup that they are racists, would turn them into racists ?
Who would have thought that telling people they are victims of systemic racism would make them violent confrontational and angry.
There is significant evidence that DEI programs make racism worse.
Though honestly that is just common sense.
I’m laughing at the dems. The party of “kill the white men” just elected two white, salad eating, fairy boys as chair and vice chair. Long past time the party of Slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, segregation and every sick thing under the sun was flushed down the toilet of History.
^^^Oh my. The voice of ‘I never saw it coming’ after next midterms. (Provided trump doesn’t try to cancel them)…
Pathway to R destruction is simple, and it has 2 phases…
Phase one, hammer this concept non stop for 2 years: “TRUMP AND R’S ARE STEALING FROM YOU PERSONALLY.”
Phase 2: plant leads, and false leads, for the Russians to think Trump is stealing from them.
Both phases are true. One gets trump to lose another election. And when cult leaders get knocked off they’re not immediately replaced.
The second phase gets trump a dose of nerve agent. He’s opened the door for this by being so vindictive and pathologically resentful as to remove the security details of his perceived enemies. What’s fair is fair, after all.
I guess that David Hogg never taking singing lessons paid off for him! 🙂
The “voters” will have a hell of a reckoning when Musk takes over the federal government. All he needs is DoD or DoJ and it is game over. He already has control of all government employees and all federal spending.
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🤪
U R a crazy 🎱
Quite possibly. But what I said about Musk is true.
Musk isn’t going to take over the federal government. He’s going to downsize the federal government as it should be and save American taxpayers $1Trillion in deficit spending.
I don’t even think he’ll do that much. Musk is merely an advisor to the head of the Executive Branch (you know who!) and he will decide what to do.
Musk has direct control over the computer payment system for the entire government. Not Trump’s people, but Musk’s, and with zero oversight or concern for the law. Musk’s people also have direct control of OPM, the office which controls all of the federal employees. Musk also gained access to highly classified intelligence information. None of this is is legally allowed to do.
Get your head out of the ground if you think is just an “advisor’.
You’re just jealous b/c your party is blowing up like an atomic bomb, eviscerating everyone in its midst, and your relevance is decreasing by your keystrokes
Please keep trolling!!!!!! Your impact is clearly having the opposite effects
Your guy lost, our guy won. Case closed.
Watch out Framke the sky is falling…
No he has direct ACCESS to them. Not at all the same thing.
Again you keep playing word games and spin – it is called LYING.
Musk IS “Trump’s people”
Musk IS “Ovversight.
Musk can not cut checks. But checks can not be cut without Musks people KNOWING.
Franke -= Musk has had a top secret Security clearance BEFORE DOGE.
Regardless national security is the exclusive domain of the president.
If you can get a meeting with Trump and convince him to give you unrestricted access to everything
then constitutionally you have unrestricted access to everything.
No that is NOT illegal.
Get your head out of your ass and quit LYING.
Like the typical left wing nut – you are trying to distort reality by word games.
While there remains some debate over whether the president is obligated to spend every dollar congress budgets – hint – for most of US history the answer was NO, and it is highly likely that SCOTUS will tell the president he must DO what the law requires, but if he can do that without spending all that was budgeted he can return the funds to treasury.
There is absolutely NO DEBATE that the president and the executive branch can NOT spend any money not budgeted by congress.
Not Trump, not Musk not anyone can spend a penny without congress approving ahead of time.
So absolutely NO Musk does NOT have control of anything.
He does not even have “oversight” – he can not stop a single check from being cut.
What he has is access to information from which he can make recomendations.
That is all.
It is very little different from an IG
He will give his recommendations to the President and he will make the call. No more sock pairing classes and condoms for Gaza!
Agreed and the Serpent head from Louisianna would have his chest all pumped up if Harris won, a true Clown.
The people from Minnesota need to read about the Crusades because they are done…
The party is from the SDS of the 60s, how sad. We now have a Maga nation…Thank God…and Donald John Trump
Only to word mangling idiots.
Can Musk spend a single Federal Dime ? Can he create a program that does not exist ? Can he increase the funding of anything ?
Musk does not even have the power to cut any spending on his own.
His power is likited to what Trump as delegated – that is the power to look for waste and corruption to report it, and to recomend action.
He has no power to act.
But yeah in left wing nut world investigating and exposing left wing nut waste and corruption is the same as the power to create that waste and corruption in the first place.
The problem with Musk and USAID is not that Musk has exposed this – in a few short days.
But why did USAID ever exist and why wasn’t this shutdown LONG AGO.
Trumptards are perfectly okay with a Silicon Valley tech bro having access to all their private data. What could go wrong?
What the hell, Bezos and the Chicoms already got it so who cares?!
Bingo!
While Musk is not paid, he is still part of the federal government, he is under the same ethics and other laws as every other govenrment employee. And yes he has a security clearance – he had that BEFORE Trump won the election.
Yes, your really terrified that Musk knows how much SSI you are receiving ?
ATS – everyone knows what you are terrified of is the Government corruption he is exposing.
It Was fun watching Omar and Schumer rant about Musk and USAID while others were live tweeting the money that Schumer and Omar were skimming from USAID.
The really really really big danger of Trump and Musk is that no one has enough money to buy them off and Trump is president – so you can no longer use DOJ and prosecutors to try to threaten him off.
You are terrified that Trump and Musk can not be stopped from digging up all the deeply buried bodies.
And what in the world does your comment have to do with the substance of the article?
No Musk does not have control over spending.
He has SOME influence over CUTTING spending – not at all the same thing.
This is so good —>

More Democrats being Democrats:
James Carville’s 7th string quarterback in the Superbowl admission raises a deeper concern about present Dem. leadership. Who needs a party that puts a loser like that one heartbeat away from the President for 4 years? What does it say about the value of the voters to the party beyond being dutiful chumps?
The Dems had some sort of meeting that was on the news today, where they asked who thought that Kamala’s loss was due to misogyny and racism. Almost all hands shot up.
No! Kamala was not more qualified than Joe — he has dementia; I’m not sure what her excuse is. Neither could effectively answer questions or state their positions. They are both embarrassing.
I know that Pam Bondi is white but look at the difference between her and Kamala. Pam is articulate; Kamala is anything but. Even Fani Willis comes across as more capable than Kamala, and that is not a compliment. Tim Walz continues to try to remain relevant, but seriously, does anyone think that he has a future in the national spotlight?
The only person I saw who was considered for a VP slot and who is experienced, smart and well-spoken is Josh Shapiro. Apparently some of the racial diversity advocates had a problem with his ethnicity. With that attitude, good luck.
I know nothing of the new Dem Chair. But the problem is not the messaging. It’s the message — look in the mirror and ask if this is the best, most qualified candidate. Maybe give some consideration to whether most Americans agree with their positions.
“Kamala’s loss was due to misogyny and racism”
I don’t get it.
If Americans enjoy the freedom of speech, don’t they simultaneously enjoy the freedom of thought, opinion, discretion, choice, differentiation, distinguishment, discernment, discrimination, et al.?
Apparently, the communists (liberals. progressives, socialists, democrats, RINOs, AINOs) believe Americans enjoy only the rights and freedoms conferred by their communist party headquarters – Karl Marx’s “dictatorship of the proletariat.”
People must adapt to freedom.
Freedom does not adapt to people…dictatorship does.
And just like that the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, a far Leftist woman, cedes to Trump’s tariff threats.
#HayQueTenerCojones
Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo
@Claudiashein
https://x.com/Claudiashein/status/1886434747238514776
Translated from Spanish by Google:
“We had a good conversation with President Trump with great respect for our relationship and sovereignty; we reached a series of agreements:
1. Mexico will immediately reinforce the northern border with 10,000 members of the National Guard to prevent drug trafficking from Mexico to the United States, particularly fentanyl.
2. The United States is committed to working to prevent the trafficking of high-powered weapons to Mexico.
3. Our teams will begin working today on two fronts: security and trade.
4. They are pausing tariffs for one month from now.”
No, Trump caved to Mexico. Sending 10,000 troops is window dressing Trump will use to convince his tards that he did something. If you want to stop fentanyl from coming into the country you go after the source. You don’t let the cartels make it.
Blocking fentanyl from coming into the US would put you out of business.
But there is always selling meth at the bathhouse in WeHo.
Dumb! The deal is for 30 days. That means someone is watching, unlike the way Biden handled his affairs.
ATS – while going after the source is a good strategy – the source is the Fentayl precursors that China is sending to Mexico (and to a lessor extent Canada).
Is Trump going to invade Mexico to shutdown the Cartels ?
It could eventually come to that. Right left, MAGA Neo-Con no one is going to allow a narco state to have a 2500 mile boarder with the US.
Disrupting Transport is something that is within the power of the Mexican Government TODAY.
Further Whether Pardo likes it or Not Trump has drug her kicking and screaming into something that is in her OWN interest and ours.
Ultimately either the Mexican government or the cartels are going to win control of Mexico. There has been a slight detente between them
but as the power of the cartels grows the power of the government declines.
Many of the troops that are being sent to the border are corrupt. But now they are in a different position.
They KNOW they are in the spotlight. They can thwart Cartel transport – or Trump will destroy the Mexican economy.
Trump is forcing Pardo to do what she should have done on her own.
As a parent when my kids complained bout the consequences of their actions I told them they should remember that it always can get worse.
Does anyone have a problem with Trump aggreeing to shutdown the illegal flow of Weapons from the US ?
“And just like that the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, a far Leftist woman, cedes to Trump’s tariff threats. ”
The Canuck testosterone deficiency poster boy caved likewise.
*cohort
That was supposed to be attached to a previous comment, sorry. Still, one word could sum up the tragedy that is the child-run DNC.
Jonathan: There are polls and then there are other polls. DJT’s tariff wars with China, Mexico and Canada are due to go into effect tonight. Most polls show Americans are opposed to tariffs on our trading partners. The President of Mexico just threw a life line to DJT by saying she would send 10,000 federal troops to the border. DJT promptly put a temporary 30 day pause on the tariffs against Mexico. But DJT added fuel to the fire by now claiming, without any evidence, that the Mexican government is directly working with the drug cartels to being drugs across the border.
DJT claims his tariffs against Canada are to stem the flow of drugs and immigrants across our northern border. Canada is not the problem. Only about 1% of illegal drugs and immigrants come across the Canadian border. But one thing is clear. Twenty-five percent tariffs on Canada will increase the cost of practically everything we buy from that country–from autos to oil.
Americans are opposed to trade wars. A recent Quinnipiac poll shows 51-38% of voters oppose DJT’s tariffs. The same poll shows DJT’s attempt to end birthright citizenship is opposed by 55-36% of voters. A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed DJT with only a 45% approval rating–down from 47% the week before all his EOs. 70% of respondents oppose renaming the Gulf of Mexico. And 59% oppose DJT’s efforts to end DEI programs in the federal government. In just about every important metric Americans oppose DJT’s policies.
Of course, the above cited polls are not ones you want to discuss in your column. You rather discuss the DNC. Another effort at mass distraction!
As long as Democrats have you in their party, they will continue to lose.
🔥🔥🔥
You’re absolutely right about everything you ever write! I couldn’t agree more. The democrat party shouldn’t change a single thing. They’re headed in exactly the correct direction.
That being the direction of extinction!
The DNC meeting suggests an inability to adapt comparable to the dinosaurs of 66 MM years ago. I wonder if the apatosauruses (aka brontosaurus) conferred and concluded there was no reason to downsize, seek shelter, or change their diet?
Try to imagine what Biden’s approval ratings would have been *if* he did not have the legacy media continually lying and running coverup for his disastrous policies and presidency? Biden’s approval should have been in the negatives, not 30 percent. Only brainwashed idiots “approved” of Biden’s handling of anything.
Harris was even worse, but the fake news propaganda media ran a PR campaign on her behalf. It was sickening.
Looking forward to the next pandemic and how Trump will f*ck that up.
You’re so Special!
Must be toddy hour at the old douche bag Inn.
You’ve got Donald Trump in your head and you can’t get him out.
(Most polls show Americans are opposed to tariffs) that is because most Americans are economically illiterate and do not understand the long term effect and the bargaining power of them. We are also a nation raised on video instantaneous results and that needs to be explained that it has taken us from LBJ’s Great Society” that gave us welfare etc until now to amass this debt and it isn’t going away tomorrow. Give him at least a year to start cleaning up decades of democrat mess before hounding him. Patience and education is needed now. Open the American citizens eyes to the criminal grift that the dems have been playing for decades – heck for more than a century if you go back to the progressive woodrow wilson for out first dive into socialism.
” DJT’s tariff wars with China, Mexico and Canada are due to go into effect tonight.”
And they did not.
“Most polls show Americans are opposed to tariffs”
Tarriffs are bad, taxes are bad, illegal immigration is bad.
Extra! Extra! When polled people oppose bad things.
Trump has been clear the Tarriffs he is imposing are for very specific purposes – as a stick to get Mexico, Canada and China to cooperate to reduce illegal drugs – Fentanyl in specific and illegal immigration.
Trump can not impose Tarrifs as a tax without congress.
“The President of Mexico just threw a life line to DJT”
No Trump threw a lifeline to Pardo. He gave her the ability to take on the cartels by blaming Trump.
Mexico can not survive as a country without addressing the cartels.
“But DJT added fuel to the fire by now claiming, without any evidence, that the Mexican government is directly working with the drug cartels to being drugs across the border.”
Dennis how much of a moron are you – this is NOT news. This is not even recent news.
Pardo LITTERALLY needed Trump to hold her feet tot he fire – because she would likely be assassinated – possibly by her own securtity forces if she tried to take on the cartels unilaterally. While there are SOME regions of mexico hat are better and some that are worse. The power of the cartels in Mexico is enormous, and significant portions of govenrment are also on cartel payrolls. This is not new.
It is not new since the election, it is not new since Biden’s presidency – though Biden’s porous border has made the problem far worse.
The Cartells have made a fortune off Biden.
“DJT claims his tariffs against Canada are to stem the flow of drugs and immigrants across our northern border.”
Correct
” Canada is not the problem.”
Incorrect. Canada is not the BIG problem.
“Only about 1% of illegal drugs and immigrants come across the Canadian border.”
Almost certionly wrong, but it does not matter – the problem at the canadian border is getting worse.
And cracking dowen on the Mexican border will increase illegal activity at the canadian border.
Cracking down on both will result in Chinese Fentanyl precursors coming directly into the US.
Hence the tarrifs on China.
This is a game of wack-a-mole.
Ultimately Trump will fail – if your goal is to end the US drug problem.
But if the gaol is to disempower violent organized criminals and reduce illegal immigration -t hat can be accomplished.
“But one thing is clear. Twenty-five percent tariffs on Canada will increase the cost of practically everything we buy from that country–from autos to oil.”
Yup, and it will completely destroy the Canadian and Mexican economies and it will drive businesses to relocate tot he US avoiding Tarriffs.
Which is why China, Canada and Mexico have absolutely no choice but to do what Trump wants.
A trade war with China, Mexico and Canada will be bad for the US. It will be the end of the world for China, Canada and Mexico.
If you are in a volkswagon beetle – you do not play chicken with an 18 wheeler.
“Americans are opposed to trade wars. A recent Quinnipiac poll shows 51-38% of voters oppose DJT’s tariffs.”
They are. They are also opposed to illegal immigrants and Fentanyl.
“The same poll shows DJT’s attempt to end birthright citizenship is opposed by 55-36% of voters. A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed DJT with only a 45% approval rating–down from 47% the week before all his EOs.”
And Rassmussen which NAILED the past several elections has Trump at 52% approval down from 53% on Jan 20, with a +-3% margin of error.
Or put more simply – it has been a very very active couple of weeks and NOTHING has happened to Trump’s polls.
“70% of respondents oppose renaming the Gulf of Mexico.”
So ?
” And 59% oppose DJT’s efforts to end DEI programs in the federal government.”
And all that claim does is destroy any confidence in the rest of your numbers.
The single most important reason cited for Voting For Trump in 2024 was DEI and other woke garbage.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/bowmanmarsico/2025/02/03/how-popular-is-dei/
A new Economist/YouGov poll found 45% in favor of ending diversity, equity, and inclusion programs (DEI) in school and government with 40% opposed.
“In just about every important metric Americans oppose DJT’s policies.”
Nope.
“Of course, the above cited polls are not ones you want to discuss in your column.”
Correct – for every poll you cite there is a more reliable one showing broad support for Trump’s policies.
Though all of this is complex.
You can get near 100% of people supporting just about anything – if it has no cost.
You will also get opposition to many things that have short term costs and long term benefits.
“You rather discuss the DNC. ”
Of course Turley wants to discuss the DNC – Turley is a democrat.
I am sure he wants to be able to vote democrat again in the future.
That is not likely so long as the DNC does not learn the stupid reasons they lost the last election.
I have to believe that part of what is wrong with the Democrats is the complete failure of the educational process. Yes, I was in CrossX debate in high school. Here, is a very disturbing video – not a parody – of the first black female debate team winners. Imagine these four students trying to make an argument in front of a judge. They all seem to be intelligent people, who could have learned to debate properly. If they had been taught properly. But they were sabotaged by The System. Look at them, and then look at the DNC election process:
@Floyd
Really: you can stop with the ‘black people are inherently inferior’ anytime. It really makes it tough to take your other points seriously. The rest of us will move on without *YOU*, too. You are a relic, but you don’t have to be. 🤷🏻♂️
Did you not see Turley’s link above, to the Singing Sales Pitch? Where did that kind of idiocy come from?
FWIW, I do not think that the four black debaters were born “inferior.” I think they were probably brought up in an inferior, toxic, dysfunctional black culture – but whatever, they actually made it to college! Where they should have been taught how to debate properly. But they weren’t.
I am beginning to think that what disturbs you most is, that it is extremely discomforting to actually look at the worst parts of black culture, because we have been taught that there are no inferior cultures – that all cultures are equal. And when you see something like this, it is hard to maintain that belief.
But again, where do horrible prosecutors like Fani Will, Alvin Bragg and Letitia James, and judges like Chutkin come from? Where do mental midgets like Crockett come from? I suggest that you subscribe to this dude, and start watching his videos. He makes some really good points, and in this video, he discusses black inferiorism.
@Floyd
Yes, but in your case, you base that opinion on the fact that they are black. If that doesn’t register with you, I don’t know what to to tell you, brother. Wake up, and look at this site, because you are prejudiced, and it is very off-putting, and makes your life experience appear to be insular in the extreme:
https://freeblackthought.com/
What makes you think that I am “insulated.”??? Look, you know who the Democrat base is? It’s black people. Somewhere around 90%. Take them out of the equation, and the Democrat Party is toast.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_the_Democratic_Party_(United_States)
Do you think it is a coincidence, that the most toxic, violent, and dysfunctional ethnic group (tribe) in the country, African Americans, overwhelmingly votes for the most toxic and dysfunctional party in the country, the Democrats? I don’t. And I think every time some white Democrat disparages Trump voters, we should sling it right back in their faces, who their base is. The people like these debaters, who are barely intelligible. The thugs, the unwed mothers, the degenerate black artists, the twerking nursing home creep, the saggy-pants crew. Trust me, those white Democrats already secretly despise blacks. And I think they secretly hate blacks. Some of them think blacks are too stupid to get ID cards. Too stupid to teach how to debate properly. Too stupid to get married.
I ask you, was the debate video above, was it for real? Did it really happen? Is it true? Is it in any way negated by the fact that Thomas Sowell is a brilliant person? Or that the black people whose videos I post here, are good, intelligent people? You don’t have to think that blacks are a “monolith”, to see what is going on in black culture, at large, and how it impacts the country.
But let me give you an essay to read. Tell me if you think this guy is “insulated”, or “prejudiced” or “racist.” From 2006 I think. What he said, was even more true during the George Floyd riots.
https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a162/esq1206blackessay-108/
@Floyd
It doesn’t matter, blah, blah, blah. Do yourself a favor and astonish yourself with your own daring. The Bill O’Reilly/Ann Coulter/Rush Limbaugh republican party is just as dead as the David Hogg DNC. Get off of it, already. You, too, lost in November. And it ain’t coming back. You can be better than this.
James – it is not racist to assert views you do not like.
There is little racism on this site and most of it is “the soft bigotry of low expectations”
One of the few wise things Justice Roberts has said was “The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.”
DEI is racism. Holding minorities to lower standards is racism. Giving people special preferences is racism.
Further the evidence is in – This does not work.
Over my lifetime racism has declined radically – until recently.
The rise of DEI has seen a spike of racism.
Angry minorities convinced their lives – living better than kings a century ago are shit and that all their problems are someone elses fault, and a growing body of young angry white men. who regardless of ability are passed over for anyone who is not a young white man.
It should have surprised no one this was a recipe to CREATE racism.
Discrimination CREATES hatred – the discrimination of whites against blacks a century+ ago made racism WORSE.
Modern DEI works exactly the same.
No James Floyd based his judgement on the fact that they CLEARLY sucked. In FACT he noted that they were intelligent and articulate – which is clear from the interview and concluded – likely properly that they were badly educated.
He did not claim they failed because Blacks are inferior.
He asserted that their teachers and the system FAILED them – because they taught them as if they were inferior.
The proof is in the pudding.

“Dr. Watson was correct on all accounts: (1) Intelligence tests do reveal large differences between European and sub-Saharan African nations, (2) the evidence does link these differences to universally valued outcomes, both within and between nations, and (3) there is data to suggest these differences are influenced by genetic factors.”

Abstract
Recent comments by the eminent biologist James Watson concerning intelligence test data from sub-Saharan Africa resulted in professional sanctions as well as numerous public condemnations from the media and the scientific community. They justified these sanctions to the public through an abuse of trust, by suggesting that intelligence testing is a meaningless and discredited science, that there is no data to support Dr. Watson’s comments, that genetic causes of group differences in intelligence are falsified logically and empirically, and that such differences are already accounted for by known environment factors. None of these arguments are correct, much less beyond legitimate scientific debate. Dr. Watson was correct on all accounts: (1) Intelligence tests do reveal large differences between European and sub-Saharan African nations, (2) the evidence does link these differences to universally valued outcomes, both within and between nations, and (3) there is data to suggest these differences are influenced by genetic factors. The media and the larger scientific community punished Dr. Watson for violating a social and political taboo, but fashioned their case to the public in terms of scientific ethics. This necessitated lying to the public about numerous scientific issues to make Watson appear negligent in his statements; a gross abuse of valuable and fragile public trust in scientific authority. Lies and a threatening, coercive atmosphere to free inquiry and exchange are damaging to science as an institution and to scientists as individuals, while voicing unfashionable hypotheses is not damaging to science. The ability to openly voice and argue ideas in good faith that are strange and frightening to some is, in fact, integral to science. Those that have participated in undermining this openness and fairness have therefore damaged science, even while claiming to protect it with the same behavior.
I believe the research but I am not really sure that iq levels are relevant to much. You have many black people who are quite able to do math singoperas and engage in scientific research. I think that the overall basis for the problems that most black space are due to culture.
If people start asking for your opinion, Einstein, you should set up your own blog with membership fees.
The article above is science conducted by genuine scientists—one who shared in the discovery of DNA.
Obviously you weren’t impressed with the referenced physical axiomata.
IQ is far and away the single most significant factor that correlates to success.
Of course it is relevant.
But there is alot we do not understand about IQ.
Near universally it improves slowly over time.
IQ is measured in relative – not absolute terms. An IQ of 100 means Average – it is NOT an objective measure.
It just means that globally today there are as many people with an IQ lower than yours are their are higher than yours.
While an IQ of 145 means that for 1 in every 400 people are as intelligent as you are.
Our knowledge of how to improve IQ sucks.
We get very very small improvement from some changes to education – but those effects are not persistant.
Standardized tests are effectively IQ tests and we know that good test prep can boost scores – but not by much.
IQ tests are tests that studying for them does NOT really help.
But for all the bleak data, we know that scottland went from intellectually inferior to the English to on average superior at the time of the scottish enlightenment – but we do not know why. 18th century scottland produced an unprecidented number of intellectuals in numerous fields who were the driving intellectual force for the american revolution, the industrial revolution and the rise of self government.
Regardless. we do not have a clue how to increase IQ. While at the same time we know that it can be done.
Did someone say Chocolate pudding?
James
Floyds argument was
“They all seem to be intelligent people, who could have learned to debate properly. If they had been taught properly. But they were sabotaged by The System.”
If that is racist – everything is racist.
Frankly YOU make Floyds point.
You completely ignored Floyd’s point and shorted “racism” YOU fixated on the race of these people.
Floyd focused on the fact that the actual clips from the debate were OFF POINT and unbeleivably badly argued in multiple ways.
That they won can only mean one of two things – everyone else sucked, or DEI was at play.
Regardles eitehr way – they were clearly badly taught.
This clip shows an actual example of “systemic racism”
You DENIGRATE minorities when you do NOT teach them how to do the job and then reward them for merely participating.
The American Founders Would Be Utterly Devastated.

You didn’t.
Wow! That was disturbing. It was reasonably clear while the media person interviewed them that they were reasonably intelligent and articular.
But the actual debate video was totally completely off topic and abysmally bad.
I have no idea what the other HS teams across the nation were like – but to have won LOCALLY much less nationally – either DEI was at play or everybody had to suck.
Turley, Turley, Turley: I think even the MAGAs know you are paid to reassure them that Trump is really popular and that most people love him–but Hillary WON the popular vote; she lost the EC because Trump colluded with Russian hackers to spread lies about her on social media in a targeted campaign directed to key districts in swing states where the lies would get the most traction–Trump’s campaign provided this information to the Russians. Hillary didn’t know that for a long time, until after the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee and the Mueller investigation disclosed this truth. Kamala Harris, who got more votes in 2024 than Trump did in 2016, lost because of the grocery lie. Trump started out his fake “presidency” underwater in the polls and received less than 50% of the popular vote. His approval ratings are going down every time he does something stupid, like pardoning the J6 insurrectionists. So, please, stop trying to create the illusion that somehow Democrats are on the wrong track with voters.
search terms on youtube equal – woke doctor disfigures wheelchair
Gigi, the collusion delusion was a HOAX sold by Hillary Clinton.
That 8 years later you are still echoing this nonsense is a demonstration of the depth of your TDS.
Turley is not reassuring people – the polls say that Trump is more popular than ever, and that his polices are even more popular than he is.
Democrats are free to have whatever leadership they want.
And personally I dispute the claim that Harris was a horrible candidate, that she ran a bad campaign, or that racism or mysoginy dictated the result. There are fewer democrats that stood any chance of doing better than Harris. No Biden would not have done better than Harris.
Nor would any other democrat – not newsome, not hoschul not witmer, not butigieg.
The problems is not in your people – though most of them are crap. It is in your policies.
Democrats have made themselves into the party of the wealthy elites. They have betrayed their base.
What Democrats fixate on is NOT what voters care about.
Harris, Biden and the rest of the Democratic swamp can do no better than their policies.
The new DNC leadership reflects that democrats learned nothing from the 2024 elections (or 2016).
That is bad news for the country, and good news for republicans.
Regardless, you keep this woke idiocy up – and you can expect to lose alot more.
Trump’s current approval rating is still 30-40 pts above Biden’s.
Trump’s approval rate on Jan 24 was 53%, today it is 52% with a margin of error of +-3% – in otherwords it is unchanged.
John Say,
I just wrote to my sister, a Democrat, stating similar to your comment. They need to listen to their moderate traditional voters and get back to what their party was. Not this woke crap. It is crushing them.
@Upstate
My brother is one of those too, and don’t get me wrong – I love my brother, as I have mentioned previously. He actually stopped listening to NPR and now listens exclusively to news *coming out of Germany* because he thinks it so objective. There is literally no cure, it appears to be only degradation, we will carry everyone else as we always have, and they will then continue to insist that nothing was ever askew, such were their bubbles. We have to take with one another and the fact that we knew better. Some people will always be walking around with the spaciousness of a flashlight, such is their inability to deal with reality or change. it just is what it is. But we’ll trudge on in spite of it, as we always have.
If your situation is different, then, great. Mine is a lost cause. I do not know how to even begin to catch a grown adult up on thirty years of earth events they simply didn’t pay attention to, and any further conversation is very likely impossible based on just that fact. Many of these folks seem to think it’s still 1992 in terms of left/right or geopolitics, and that is just that.
i said ‘woke’ to my brother recently (and this after covid, BLM, CRT, DEI, the summer of 2020, Kamala, etc.). His response? ‘What’s, ‘woke’?’. 🤷🏻♂️
Oh, and incidentally, he voted for Kamala.
SOME democrats are “listening” – though I see no evidence of any significant shift in understanding from democrats as a whole.
This is very bad – bad for democrats and bad for the country. The reality is we need two relatively equal parties with only small differences in policies. That results in the most stable government.
Though atleast in the short term the failure of democrats is good for the country and good for the GOP.
While not identical we have a moment that is similar to the Thatcher revolution in the UK at the end of the 70’s.
An opertunity for relatively radical change. The US likes to celebrate the slightly later Reagan revolution – but the difference between What Reagan represents and what preceeded him is small.
Pre Thatcher england was in danger of becoming a 2nd world nation. Thatcher prevented that and brought the UK back to close to parity with the US in standard of living. Unfortunately subsequently the UK has driften backwards and standard of living is 40% below that of the US. and a significant portion of that loss occured under “torries” a reflection fo the fact that british conservatism and american conservatism are not the same.
Regardless, This Trump term has the possibility of being a thatcher type inflection point for the US.
That would be good. But just like Thatcher – things change over time.
Without a meaningful challenge from Democrats – Republicans will eventually F#$K up.
It is not good for the country to have one party dominant for long periods.
We are years away from that.
But Lord Acton was correct – Power Corrupts, absolute power corrupts absloutely
And democrats seem intent on assuring that Republicans have as much power as possible for as long as possible.
I watched bits of confirmation hearings. Some democrats did a good job. But many were brain dead and stupid.
There were numerous own goals by Democrats.
Further, it was also clear that the fate of nominees was NOT being decided by democrats.
Trump’s nominees biggest problems still stem from a few “deep state” republican senators – who ALSO did not get the message of the last election.
Agree that Democrat Party priorities no longer match the priorities of most American citizens. The mission creep has been extensive and rapid.
The people running the Democratic Party need to care a lot about citizens trying to make a living. These persons are not after-thoughts.
The people running the Democratic Party need to care about American citizens more than they care about the citizens of other countries.
Do you know how hard it is to get your spent-down Mom in a nursing home, on Medicaid? Millions of citizens of other countries got Medicaid handed to them just now, without ever contributing a penny. Mom is at the back of the line.
WHAT POLLS ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT–cite them. Here’s what I found: “Quinnipiac said only 36 percent of those polled on Jan. 26, 2017 approved of the job that Trump was doing while 44 percent disapproved of the job he was doing while 19 percent did not offer an opinion.” Most Americans DO NOT support pardoning the J6 insurectionists. According to the Miami Herald: “The most contentious actions were Trump’s bid to end birthright citizenship, which has been temporarily blocked by a federal judge — with 43% in favor and 45% opposed — and his withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement — with 42% in favor and 40% opposed.”
And, you can tell yourself that Harris “lost” because she is a crappy candidate with a crappy message–but polls prove that enough moderates voted for Trump because they believed the lie about bringing an immediate drop in the price of groceries. Even he admits this. Trump’s 1.48% “margin of victory” was the lowest in 55 election cycles, and Harris got more votes in 2024 than he did in 2016.
MAGA media exists to soothe you MAGAs and convince you that Trump is very popular and that most Americans support him–that’s not true.
God not the idiotic Groceries nonsense again.
The exit polls were clear – the single LARGEST factor driving the election was a broad perception that the democrats had gone FAR too far left.
Economics BROADLY – not the price of eggs but the failure of democrats over the past 4 years was very large.
The disasterous mess democrats made of the southern border was very large.
Voters were NOT listening to every word Trump or Harris said.
What Trump (or Harris) promised was important – not so much because people voted FOR that, but because they did not vote AGAINST that.
You cite a number of polls (without really providing them). But polls have several major problems that MOSTLY elections do not.
Polls are piss poor at measuring the strength of different views of the longevity of them.
A poll can not tell the difference between “I do not like blue”, and “I do not like murder”.
An election does tell you that between the choices you have which people think is best – for Why we have to rely on exit polls
And the three major drivers of “Why Trump ?” are listed above.
As to your efforts to relitigate the election.
130M people voted in 2016
155.5m people allegedly voted in 2020
152M people voted in 2024.
Trump got 63M, 72.4M and 77M votes respectively
Hillary got 66m – which not only lost – but would have lost EVERY election cycle since.
Biden Allegedly got 81.3M in 2020 – which if you beleive I have swamp land to sell you.
And that STILL only managed to beat Trump in the EC by less than 45,000 votes.
A swing of as little as 100,000 votes in 2020 would have resulted in a GOP sweep.
A swing of 225,000 votes in 2020 would have resulted in Trump winning all the swing states.
Harris did get more votes in 2024 than Trump got in 2020 – But even with that vote total she STILL would have lost if Trump only got the same vote totals he got in 2020.
Democrats have a California problem – or more accurately an all their eggs in one basket problem. Beating Republican 60:40 in CA in elections where nationwide the difference is close to 50:50 means they are likely to lose the EC and lose all the swing states.
And the problem is only going to get worse. While GA and NC are going purple, VA, PA, WI, MI, NV, and even MN are going red – albeit not all at the same rate. Worse than that numerous other solid blue states are getting slowly less and less blue. They are NOT flipping anytime soon – but they are headed away from Democrats.
Worse still there is likely to be a 10 EV/House seat swing to solid red states according to the census bureau if the population shifts that have already taken place do not reverse.
Worse still – the real prize for Democrats – TX is moving slowly TOWARD republicans not away.
Much of the above can change – but NOT without Democrats changing to appeal to middle america which they have thoroughly alienated.
Next – You Rant that Trump won by less than 2% of the vote – about 2.3M votes. True – but that was AFTER you threw everything but the kitchen sink at him. That was AFTER indicting hin 96 times. That was AFTER your ludicrous 1/2Billion dollar enmoron Verdict.
That was AFTER your ludicrous 100M Crazy Carroll sexual assault verdict, that was AFTER your lunatic and corrupt Trump lied about sleeping with a porn start Criminal verdict. That was AFTER trying to remove him from the Ballot in several states, That was AFTER having to go to the Supreme court Multiple times with 9-0 verdicts in favor of Trump to prevent YOU from stealing the election. That was AFTER 2 years of news media that was 95% positive for Biden/Harris and 98% negative for Trump.
Find the two brain cells in your skull that work.
Harris got almost 8M less votes than Biden in 2020. Trump got 4M more than 2020.
There are really only two choices – Massive Fraud in 2020, or Voters really hate what you have done to the country in the past 4 years.
Less people voted in 2024 than 2020. Yet Democrats LOST alot of votes, and Republicans gained about half those votes.
Again Less people voted in 2024, and ALL of them were Democrat Votes. Trump did not JUST win by 2.4M votes, He won by the almost 6M additional democrats who STAYED HOME. Who were not willing to go to the polls to vote against the person you called a rapist, a nazi, worse than hitler, the end of democracy.
By a smidge less than 50% the electorate voted for the person YOU identified as Hitler.
Absolutely Trump has a HUGE mandate. And YOU gave it to him.
You gave it to him by throwing every trick in the book at him.
All that said if you want to know Why Republicans won in 2024 – all of the above is NOT the big story. The big story is relatively quiet – though there is now a democrat pushing a “voter supression” twisted version of it.
The Big reason republicans won in 2024, is because they were WATCHING. the RNC sent 225,000 volunteer poll watchers – to the critical cities in the swing states – to Detroit, to Milwaukee, to Pheonix, to Las Vegas, to Atlanta, to Philadelphia, there job ? To have EYEBALLS on the election, To assure that any cheating that was done was spotted and challlenged. In addition to those 225,000 volunteers they sent out just shy of 10,000 lawyers – ready to go to court INSTANTLY when election laws were not followed.
Do not get me wrong – there was still LOTS of cheating in 2024. But significantly less than 2020. The courts though not favorable to republicans did actually come to grasp they F#$Ked up in 2020. Even the PA SCOTUS which Still is allowing illegal and unconstitutional elections in PA has backed away from the most egregious parts of its completely lawless 2020 decisions that threw the election in PA to Biden.
A few democrat election analysts are now saying epublicans “cheated” – by enforcing election laws slightly better than 2020.
By assuring that garbage mailin votes were not counted – and thereby dramatically reducing democrats ability to use mailin voting and illegal ballot harvesting to stuff the ballot box.
That is the most important part of the 2024 election. It took 2 years but Republicans did ultimately figure out where the critical Fraud was in 2020, and they are assuring that it can neve happen again on the scale that it did in 2020.
It will take decades to restore integrity in US elections. Democrats have abused Covid to turn our election process into something worse than banana republics. France can count 80M paper ballots by midnight on election day – California can not count the vote in less than 2 months.
ATS this election was only close in your head. There has been a trend since 2016 and it is AWAY from Democrats.
Elections are still close – but that is only because you are using every trick in the book to win by hook and crook and still falling short.
That is a HUGE deal – Democrats tried every dirty trick there was to win in 2024 – and STILL lost.
Of course Trump has a HUGE mandate.
Well said!
Goo Goo
The WINNER 🌈🌈💩🌈🌈
She lost the EC because she very stupidly avoided campaigning in Michigan.
Here’s an interpretation of a post: For humors sake of course 🤨please guess?
The Orange fat ass Blah blah blah…didn’t really win… popular vote…,electoral college….cost of groceries….gas…..lies…..pig……..fat ass….liar….blah blah……fat pig…..racist…..insurrectionists…..
felon…..rinse and repeat….blah blah blahhhhhhhh.
I see we have a Winner/loser, not only an oxymoron but a moron as well.
The Democrats, long ago, became captured by out-of-touch coastal elites who think their luxury beliefs are what matters. Despite winning elections, they have failed to govern for decades now. This is just end-stage behavior where they have become so insulated from the needs and beliefs of those would govern that they are rapidly making themselves irrelevant in most of the country.
In my current state, Missouri, despite people 51.6% to 48.4% making abortion a Constitutional Right, Trump won 58.5% to Harris’ 40.1%. Not only that, but every single politician elected to State or Federal office was a Republican that won with at least 57% of the vote. When I moved to Missouri in 2010, the state was 50-50 purple.
Missouri is, inherently, a purple state. But wacko leftists policies and the out-right costal bigotry towards ‘the flyover states’ has turned it red for National and Statewide elections.
Face it, the Democratic Party started becoming Marxist under FDR then went full-blown Communist in the 1960s. “Far Left” is a euphemism for Communist. Their talking points are all right out of Marx and Engels Communist Manifesto, Americans are seeing through them.
