“A New World Order With European Values”: The Unholy Union of Globalism and Anti-Free Speech Measures

Below is my column in the Hill on the recent World Forum where leaders gathered to declare “A New World Order with European Values.” Globalists gathered in Berlin to seek a new era based on European values that not only involve the expansion of transnational systems but the contraction of free speech rights.

Here is the column:

“A New World Order With European Values.” Emblazoned across banners and signs, those words met the participants at this week’s meeting of the World Forum in Berlin.

Each year, leaders, executives, journalists and academics gather to address the greatest threats facing humanity. This year, there was little doubt about what they view as the current threat: the resurgence of populism and free speech.

In fairness to the Forum, “a New World Order” likely sounds more ominous for some civil libertarians than intended. While the European Union is a transnational government stretching across 27 nations, the organizers were referring to a shift of values away from the United States to Europe.

As one of the few speakers at the forum who was calling for greater protections for free speech, I found it an unnerving message. Even putting aside the implications of the New World Order, the idea of building a world on today’s European values is alarming for free speech.

Free speech is in a free fall in Europe, with ever-expanding speech regulations and criminal prosecutions — including for having “toxic ideologies.”

The World Forum has a powerful sense of fraternity, even an intimacy, among leaders who see each other as a global elite — a cadre of enlightened minds protecting citizens from their own poor choices and habits.

There has long been a push for transnational governing systems, and European figures see an opportunity created by the conflict with President Trump. The European Union is the model for such a Pax Europaea or “European peace.”

The problem is that this vision for a new Holy Roman Empire lacks a Charlamagne. More importantly, it lacks public support.

The very notion of a “New World Order” is chilling to many who oppose the rise of a globalist class with the rise of transnational governance in the European Union and beyond.

This year, there is a sense of panic among Europe’s elite over the victory of Trump and the Republicans in the U.S., as well as nationalist and populist European movements.

For globalists, the late Tip O’Neill’s rule that “all politics is local” is anathema. The European Union is intended to transcend national identities and priorities in favor of an inspired transnational government managed by an expert elite.

The message was clear. The new world order would be based on European, not American, values. To rally the faithful to the cause, the organizers called upon two of the patron saints of the global elite: Bill and Hillary Clinton. President Clinton was even given an award as “leader of the century.”

The Clintons were clearly in their element. Speaker after speaker denounced Trump and the rise of what they called “autocrats” and “oligarchs.” The irony was crushing. The European Union is based on the oligarchy of a ruling elite. The World Forum even took time to celebrate billionaires from Bill Gates to George Soros for funding “open societies” and greater transnational powers.

The discussions focused on blunting the rise of far-right parties and stemming the flow of “disinformation” that fosters such dissent.

Outside of this rarefied environment, the Orwellian language would border on the humorous: protecting democracy from itself and limiting free speech to foster free speech.

Yet, one aspect of the forum was striking and refreshingly open. This year it became clear why transnational governance gravitates toward greater limits on free speech.

Of course, all of this must be done in the name of democracy and free speech.

There is a coded language that is now in vogue with the anti-free speech community. They never say the word “censorship.” They prefer “content moderation.” They do not call for limiting speech. Instead, they call for limiting “false,” “hateful” or “inciteful” speech.

As for the rise of opposing parties and figures, they are referred to as movements by “low-information voters” misled by disinformation. Of course, it is the government that will decide what are acceptable and unacceptable viewpoints.

That code was broken recently by Vice President JD Vance, who confronted our European allies in Munich to restore free speech. He stripped away the pretense and called out the censorship.

With the rise of populist groups, anti-immigration movements and critics of European governance, there is a palpable challenge to EU authority. In that environment, free speech can be viewed as destabilizing because it spreads dissent and falsehoods about these figures and their agenda. Thus far, “European peace” has come at the price of silencing many of those voices; achieving the pretense of consensus through coerced silence.

Transnational governance requires consent over a wide swath of territory. The means that the control or cooperation of media and social media is essential to maintaining the consent of the governed.

That is why free speech is in a tailspin in Europe, with ever-expanding speech regulations and criminal prosecutions.

Yet, it is difficult to get a free people to give up freedom. They have to be very afraid or very angry. One of the speakers was Maria A. Ressa, a journalist and Nobel laureate. I admire Ressa’s courage as a journalist but previously criticized her anti-free speech positions. Ressa has struck out against critics who have denounced her for allegedly antisemitic views. She has warned that the right is using free speech and declaring “I will say it now: ‘The fascists are coming.’”

At the forum, Ressa again called for the audience of “powerful leaders” to prevent lies and dangerous disinformation from spreading worldwide.

But the free speech movement has shown a surprising resilience in the last few years. First, Elon Musk bought Twitter and dismantled its censorship apparatus, restoring free speech to the social media platform. More recently, Mark Zuckerburg announced that Meta would also restore free speech protections on Facebook and other platforms.

In a shock to many, young Irish voters have been credited with killing a move to further expand the criminalization of speech to include “xenophobia” and the “public dissemination or distribution of tracts, pictures or other material” from viewpoints barred under the law.

Anti-free speech forces are gathering to push back on such trends. Indeed, Hillary Clinton has hardly been subtle about the dangers of free speech to the new world order. After Musk bought Twitter with the intention of restoring free speech protections, Clinton called upon the European Union to use its infamous Digital Services Act to make Musk censor her fellow Americans. She has also suggested arresting those spreading disinformation.

The European Union did precisely that by threatening Musk with confiscatory fines and even arrest unless he censored users. When Musk decided to interview Trump in this election, EU censors warned him that they would be watching for any disinformation.

For many citizens, European governance does not exactly look like a triumph over “oligarchs” and “autocrats.” Indeed, the EU looks pretty oligarchic with its massive bureaucracy guided by a global elite and “good” billionaires like Soros and Gates.

Citizens would be wise to look beyond the catchy themes and consider what Pax Europaea would truly mean to them. We have many shared values with our European allies. However, given the current laws limiting political speech, a “New World Order Based on European Values” is hardly an inviting prospect for those who believe in robust democratic and free speech values.

  1. I love all the globalists in Europe and in the other deeper circles of Hell. They vividly show us all that matters is our freedom and their insatiable desire to have it proves it over and over. All free people know a threat when they see it. We have a clear and present one at twelve o’clock. Tally Ho! Go Tally!

  2. (OT)

“Goldberg . . . reported that he received a great deal of details that could harm our military . . .”

    Meanwhile, in news that matters:

The Trump administration is serious about making the Red Sea safe for commercial shipping. The Houthis, yet another Iranian terrorist group, were emboldened and financed by the Biden administration’s coddling of Iran. And by its dithering over the previous 18 months.

Messes made by Biden. Messes cleaned up by Trump.

  3. I’m looking for my TDS meds but they’re hard to find here in my mommy’s basement under all my BLM signs and transgender clothing for storybook hour at the library

  4. Two observations: first, from an historical perspective, isn’t strange where this took place? Secondly, who are these people? They are not content to have millions or billions. Instead they are like Doctor Evil, always thinking of…..”evil” things such as controlling the lives of the innocent snd sometimes helpless people.

What a bunch of bizarre and sick creatures!

    1. At this forum “A New World Order with European Values”, was German or Russian the universally spoken language?
If not, I would like to give the credit or blame to the United States of America.

    1. It’s been a perfect storm. All those people with beat up trucks covered in anti-gub’ment oversized bumper stickers, middle age dudes wearing Tommy Bahama who say inappropriate things to teen girls, hags who are the backstabbers of their towns, losers yelling at cars, etc., have their dream POTUS, Trump, who’s as incompetent as they are, as stupid as they are, as demented as they are. In reading the Trumpster comments here you’d think Turley distributes this blog to a population at a mental institution.

      1. In what world do live – certainly not the real one ?
        Government is a necescary evil.

Presuming your caricature was correct – so What ?

You have spewed a lot of meaningless gob $hite

If Trump supporters are incompetent and stupid – they are not the ones who drove inflation top aplmst 10% and over 20% for 4 years,
They are not the ones that F#$Ked up and left eastern europe and teh mideast aflame.
They are noot the ones who doubled fentanyl overdoses
They are not the ones who brought MS-13 and Tre De Arugua into the country.
They are not the ones who blew $10T that no one can find, and increased the national debt by 50% in 4 years.

I can go on and on.
If Trump sorters are stupid and incompetent that would still make them 10 times the intelligence and capability of the left.

  5. Turns out the intelligence level of those serving the President is astoundingly low…
He had no knowledge that his Sec Def leaked details about the raid on Yemen.
Astounding, that is if you thought trump and those he surrounds himself with have even an ounce of intelligence.

    https://www.alternet.org/trump-war-plans-leak/

    1. Remember when trump was so upset with Hillary Clinton and her emails? trump called for her to be arrested. Turns out trumps Sec Def committed a far graver offense by releasing the war plans against Yemen. trumps response? “he did what”. What a profound (PROFOUND) idiot we have as president.

      1. ‘Anonymous’ from the darkside.. your apples & oranges analogy (also based on your glaring TDS..) is illogical. Hillary & her Classified emails will always be an issue.. who are you to judge the gravitas of a slip up vs. an intentional practice of hiding all levels of Classified, Top Secret, etc. emails over a long period of time..?

      2. No this still does not come close to Hillaries disaster.
Unintentionally sharing – who knows what with a journalist on an encrypted app – does not come close to deliberately taking thousands of classified documents and making them openly available to anyone on the internet who wants them.
The FBI has reported that a hostile foreign power was reading the Sec States email in real time.

Presuming this turns out to actually be anything at all it was an accidental leak to an american journalist.

Many of us are still dubious of this story – because this is not the first time – it is not the 20th time, it is not the 200th time that those of you on the left have lied.

But even if true – with massive amounts of spin – this still does not come close to “one day int he lefe of the Biden administration” in terms of incompetence and disaster.

        1. “The FBI has reported that a hostile foreign power was reading the Sec States email in real time.”

You have zero evidence of that claim. You seem to be posting a lot more than usual and it seems you are trying mighty hard to make excuses for something that clearly is a lot worse than Hillary’s emails. Because Hegseth and Trump are clearly lying. You have a perticular revulsion of government officials lying. Hegseth blatanly lied, and so did Trump. So what do you do? Start making things up and making excuses. You’re starting to sound like a leftist. Oh the irony.

      1. Look at how many MAGAs are too dumb to understand they aren’t conservative but claim to be. Can’t wait for the Stalin/Mao style tariffs in April 2.

        1. Conservative is not an ideology. Libertariansism is, progressivism is.
Conservatism is just a reflection of the reality that most new ideas fail and that we should not rush in to blindly implimenting some new idea – especially in government where failure is really bad, when the odds favor the status quo.

          Is MAGA conservative

1). Seal the border and stop the migrant invasion – check
2). Carry out the largest deportation operation in american history – check
3). End inflation, and make america affordable again – giant check
4). Make america the dominant energy producer in the world, by far! – depends on how that is done – through free markets – conservaitve, any other way not.
          5) STOP OUTSOURCING, AND TURN THE UNITED STATES INTO A MANUFACTURING SUPERPOWER – probably not conservative
          6) large tax cuts for workers, and no tax on tips! – giant check
7). Defend our constitution, our bill of rights, and our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms – giant check
8). Prevent world war three, restore peace in europe and in the middle east, and build a great iron dome missile defense shield over our entire country — all made in america – not conservative, just a good idea
9). End the weaponization of government against the american people – definitely conservative
10). Stop the migrant crime epidemic, demolish the foreign drug cartels, crush gang violence, and lock up violent offenders. Not especially conservative, just the legitimate roll of government.
11). Rebuild our cities, including washington dc, making them safe, clean, and beautiful again. Not conservative
12). Strengthen and modernize our military, making it, without question, the strongest and most powerful in the world – not conservative
13). Keep the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency – not conservative
          14) Fight for and protect social security and medicare with no cuts, including no changes to the retirement age – not conservative
          15) Cancel the electric vehicle mandate and cut costly and burdensome regulations – very conservative
          16) Cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, radical gender ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children – very conservative
          17) Keep men out of women’s sports – not conservative
18). Deport pro-hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic again – not conservative
          19) Secure our elections, including same day voting, voter identification, paper ballots, and proof of citizenship – a fundimental reguirement of the social contract. But not conservative.
          20) Unite our country by bringing it to new and record levels of success. Not conservative.

I would note that just because a platform item is Not conservicate does not make it anti conservative.

          1. John Say,
I would say a number of items on your list are not conservative but common sense. Like #17.
I am fiscally conservative as I cannot print money out of thin air, I have no debt, I pay cash even if it means delayed gratitude, I keep a sizeable savings account.

      1. Such soul crushing logic! You are without a doubt a master debater … or something like that.

    2. Have the Houthis shot down any US planes ? Killed any US soldiers ? Sunk any US ships ?

That would mean whatever actually occured – is 1/1,000,000the mess Biden made in afghanistan.
Not to mention the million+ dead in Ukraine – because those of you on the left are idiots.
Nor the significant increase in the risk of global nuclear war from your stupidity and incompetence.

    3. People who came closer to the end of the world than we have since the cuban missle crisis should not be complaining about anyone else.

      Have you no shame ?

  6. The Trump haters seem particularly insane and agitated today. Perhaps they are worried that Pam Bondi will punish them for their domestic terrorism against Teslas and Tesla dealerships. Or perhaps they are upset that biological males can no longer beat the crap out of young women and girls in competitive sports or invade their safe spaces.

      1. Am I upset that Obuma bugged Trump’s Administration in his first term and is doing it again to humiliate Prez Trump & his Administrtion?

      2. Am I upset that Obuma bugged Trump’s Administration in his first term and is doing it again to humiliate Prez Trump & his Administrtion?

    1. OldManFromKS,
They are desperate. All this MAGA winning is driving them even more stupid and crazy than usual. Their polling approval is at a all time record low. They have nothing to offer the American people other than hate and rage. And it shows in their comments.
      How marvelous!

    2. There is a trend of violence in the Democrat Party.

They burned cities, looted, and committed arson based on a video of Derek Chauvin kneeling on the upper back of George Floyd, as he died of a fentanyl overdose. They saw no need to wait for an investigation, into the training methods of that police department, Chauvin’s personal history, or even the toxicology report that showed Floyd had multiple times a fatal overdoes of fentanyl in his system. They didn’t need to know that George Floyd said he couldn’t breathe in the police vehicle and asked to get down on the ground. They just declared Chauvin was a racist who strangled Floyd on purpose. Floyd was going to die no matter what. Chauvin could have been more comforting, and tried different positions to see if any helped Floyd, but he did not murder him.

During the trial, Democrats threatened to burn down cities unless they got the verdict they wanted.

Democrats Occupied Wall Street, rioted across America via BLM and Antifa, they disrupt Congress and tried to physically stop the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. They seized entire city blocks and firebombed police stations, creating “Autonomous Zones” like CHOP/CHAZ, where they committed crimes with impunity against the residents and businesses.

Now they are so angry that Elon Musk is tasked with reviewing all government spending, identifying waste, fraud, and abuse, and making recommendations to President Trump, that they have engaged in domestic terrorism against Musk’s company, Tesla. They burn dealerships and charging stations, throw Molotov cocktails at Teslas, vandalize Teslas, and harass Tesla owners. After all their claims that they support green energy, they are trying to destroy an electric car company, targeting innocent people.

Clearly, Democrats do not want the American public to know how the US Government spends taxpayer money, and are trying to send a message to anyone who tries that they and their livelihood will sleep with the fishes.

      1. Karen S.— do you ever quit with your BS? First lie: that DEMOCRATS burned and looted. Second lie: that Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose. Those are MAGA media lies.

Every additional accusation against Democrats is a LIE. The Democrat party did none of these things.

The majority of the American people do not support Elon Musk’s arbitrary slashing of the federal government or the reason—-to make agencies fail so they can be privatized and American oligarchs can take over and make money by hiring unqualified and unskilled people paid a minimum wage.

Musk is not the head of any agency, he has not been vetted by Congress, he does not have security clearance, he did not take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, and he and his “tech bros” push their way into offices, sometimes by force, invade and download confidential information onto their personal computers and bully federal employees over whom they have no authority, including telling them they are fired. People are furious, and that’s why Tesla dealerships are being targeted. But it’s not the Democratic Party telling people to do that.

Your closing comment displays how deeply delusional you are. The first thing Musk did was fire the Inspector Generals, politically independent people who investigate agencies to root out waste, fraud and abuse. It’s MAGA Republicans who don’t want accountability. WHEN did the Democrats ever threaten to kill people and why would you publish an accusation as outrageous as this?

  7. Criminals (e.g., leftists, islamists) prefer their victims disarmed of all rights to respond to attacks, whether by speech, access to true information, weapons.

Socialism is the government of organized crime, defrauding taxpayers of trillions. Trump’s FBI/DOJ and state AGs should be charging, prosecuting and suing leftists, but are doing nothing but expose some of the fraud via DOGE.

    1. “Criminals (e.g., leftists, islamists)…”

Oh, I thought you were going to talk about trump. Convicted felon in NY state. Found liable for defamation of the rape he committed against a woman. Filed for bankruptcy…how many times? 6? Hard to keep track. Paid how many millions for his fraud of a trump U.

Hey, at least he got off his offense of storing secret documents in his bathroom.

  8. Its ironic that Republicans were so concerned about TikTok and the threat to national security. Now we learn that the Trump administration is using an app owned by a foreign company to discuss military planning and classified intel.

    So much for competence. SMH.

    1. No leaks actually ended up compromising the mission. The planning was otherwise tight. The strikes were exceptionally precise. The communication—despite the unintentional inclusion of a journalist—was professional and focused.

Compare this with the Biden(Obama)administration’s decision to grant security clearances to Iranian regime-linked figures, or the Biden government’s chronic leaking of internal deliberations to preferred media outlets in the name of “narrative shaping.” In both cases, information was shared deliberately for political advantage—sometimes with actors who had no loyalty to U.S. interests.

The Trump team’s sole error was accidental and internal; the others were strategic and often hostile to American strength. Moreover, the episode underscores a divide between the political class’s and the public’s priorities. The Beltway fixates on process violations and bureaucratic niceties, while voters care about results. They expect American officials to act decisively against threats, not to seek institutional cover from multilateral committees.

  9. Newsflash folks, Trump’s signing on with Britain to make America a part of the British commonwealth. King Charles will rule over America, not Trump. Trump & Vance will be the puppets the NWO has been dreaming of and waiting for for a long time. They’re both popular with the American people and for now, seemingly beyond reproach.

    1. I hope that’s sarcasm because I don’t want to think anyone is dumb enough to really believe that would mean King Charles would rule over America.

        1. What a stupid comment. Just adding to the stupidity of suggesting King Charles would rule over America. Pro-tip: quit digging your hole.

  10. If Europe feels empowered to enforce a Pax Europe I would think that this would mean that they no longer need our troops or our weapons stationed in Europe. Is America really needed for NATO? Of course, American troops, weapons, and treasure are still needed and begged for by various European “allies”.

  11. A “New World Order” anti-free speech movement coming from Berlin is historically ominous.

  12. People wonder how the Deep State controls Chief Justice John Roberts like a well-trained puppet to do their bidding on command. Wonder no more.

Many people have accurately observed that Roberts has no values or principles, but they don’t understand how this could be since he is purportedly a “conservative.” But John Roberts is no conservative. That was just a carefully crafted front to help him get to the place that he is today. The fact is that the Deep State OWNS John Roberts because they have the dirt on Roberts that Roberts still desperately attempts to conceal to this day.

They have the compromising photos and videos of John Roberts in his younger days that prove without doubt that John Roberts is a homosexual. However, even without those photos and videos of Roberts’ homosexual acts, which would put J. Edgar Hoover to shame, there is ample evidence of Roberts’ homosexuality, as shown here, for example:
    https://underneaththeirrobes.blogs.com/main/2005/08/more_grist_for_.html
Now, when the Chief Justice of the United States of America is being blackmailed to keep his homosexuality a secret by the Deep State to do their bidding and that Chief Justice obediently complies with their every demand, that means we have a Constitutional Crisis to deal with.

      1. Although you may feel proud of your homosexuality, John Roberts obviously feels great shame about it. And Roberts will do or say anything he’s told to keep his secret.

        1. First, I am not homosexual so I have no homosexuality to be proud of.

Second, you are pretending to know intimate details of John Roberts’s life. You’re obviously just making shit up.

          1. There’s nothing to make up. Roberts hasn’t been that good at concealing his homosexuality. If you read the evidence in the link, you’d shut up. And although you may claim not to be a homosexual, when you are male pretending to be a woman and then having sex with a man, that’s still homosexuality, contrary to your protests.

  13. Jonathan: I don’t know what you are complaining about. You got to speak at the World Forum in Berlin. The “Globalists” there didn’t take away your “free speech” rights. If you want to complain about the loss of “free speech” you are looking in the wrong place. You should be focusing on what is taking place right here at home.

DJT came back to power with one goal–to seek vengeance and retribution against his political enemies. He has carried that out since day one. He has attacked the press every day. The AP is still banned from the WH because they refuse to call the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America” as DJT demands. Isn’t that a violation of AP’s “free speech” rights?

And it’s not just the press. Almost every day DJT attacks and calls for the impeachment of judges that rule against him. In an unprecedented statement Chief Justice Roberts had to remind DJT to follow the law. If you don’t like a judge’s ruling appeal it. Don’t call for the impeachment of the judge.

DJT is also attacking the prosecutors who have brought successful civil and criminal cases against him. DJT just revoked the security clearances for Letitia James and Alvin Bragg. DJT’s vindictiveness knows no bounds. Every day DJT attacks First Amendment expression.

And now DJT is even going after private law firms for representing clients with cases against DJT’s unlawful orders. That is unprecedented in the history of the country. In three separate EOs DJT has targeted the law firms of Covington & Burling, Perkins Coie and Paul Weiss, et al. Why did DJT single out these law firms for punitive action? In the case of Covington one of its partners agree to represent Jack Smith pro bono. DJT’s attack on Perkins Coie was because they represented the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign. The Paul Weiss firm was targeted because one of its former partners, Mark Pomerantz left the firm to go to work for Alvin Bragg and his criminal prosecution of DJT. In the case of Perkins Coie they refused to be intimidated. They have filled a lawsuit against DJT’s claiming he violated their First Amendment rights to represent clients of their choosing.

The only law firm to cave in to DJT’s demands is Paul Weiss. In a craven betrayal of a law firm’s ethical and legal responsibilities to their clients the firm agreed to pay DJT $40 million for pro bono work in support of DJT’s causes. In response DJT withdrew the punitive penalties against the law firm. The message couldn’t be clearer. Every large firm that has a potential client with a claim against the DJT regime should think twice. That will have a chilling effect on the legal rights of a lot of Americans.

Every fascist dictator wants and needs absolute power. DJT is no exception. He wants that power to not only enrich himself but to give power to his billionaire oligarchs, like Elon Musk, who put him in office and expect the fruits of the poisonous tree. In order to accomplish that agenda DJT has taken a page out of the Nazi playbook. First go after the press and force them to print articles that only show the regime in a good light. Then go after lawyers, prosecutors and judges that could protect democratic rights and freedoms. Charge them with “treason” or other offenses against the state. Put them in prison or force them into exile. That was the Nazi playbook in 1933 and Hitler accomplished all that within the first 3 or 4 months. DJT is trying to best Hitler’s record.

Don’t believe me? Read the 900-odd pages of Project 2025 about how to accomplish dictatorial rule. It’s all there. DJT is not noted for being a voracious reader. But he did read the speeches of Adoph Hitler. And from those speeches DJT drew inspiration about how to gain and keep power.

The only thing standing in DJT’s way is the power of the people. Will they wake up and rise up in protest? In town hall meetings across the country citizens are vocally expressing their opposition to DJT’s policies–even for many who voted for DJT. Will that be enough? We will soon find out.

    1. Dennis McINtyre:
Did you read Page 827 of Project 25, entitled: “How to Deal With Borderline Defamation and Disinformation from Commenters on Legal Blogs.”
      ?

      1. Please do not respond to Dennis SmakInTire. He’s a lying Leftist loon and ballwasher for Arthur “The Moron” Engoron.

  14. If Bill Clinton is now a European hero, it must be assumed the human trafficking has now become a “European value.” If Hillary Clinton is now a European heroine, it must be assumed that unlimited political cynicism has also become a “European value.” Are these people really so clueless?

  15. It is becoming increasingly obvious that Trump is not actually running the government.

First, he denies ever signing the order invoking the Alien Enemies Act used as a predicate to deport people to El Salvador.
He claims to know nothing about it. He says “other people handled that”.

“I don’t know when it was signed, because I didn’t sign it,” Trump told reporters.
“Other people handled it, but Marco Rubio has done a great job and he wanted them out and we go along with that” Trump said.

Now, he says he had no knowledge of the plans to attack the Houthis in Yemen.

The plans were discussed by numerous people in his administration using the Signal chat app. Jeff Goldberg of the Atlantic magazine was some somehow accidentally included in the group chat.

Interestingly, Trump himself was not included in the group chat.

If it’s true that the President of the United States had no idea that his war cabinet and VP were discussing war plans on a Signal chat that included a journalist, but not Trump himself, that is astounding ignorance and profound incompetence.

As the bombing campaign moved ahead, Hegseth’s Signal account shared details that Goldberg said he believed could put at risk the safety of U.S. troops or intelligence officials, especially those deployed in the Middle East. Those details, the Atlantic article says, allegedly included the specific weapons to be used and in which sequence the Houthi targets would be hit.

This is a major breach of national security.

This stuff should only be discussed in the White House Situation Room, with the President in attendance.

If Trump was not aware of a major discussion about an attack on another nation involving his VP, Chief of Staff, NatSec Advisor, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Director of National Intelligence, and CIA Director, then who exactly is running the government?

    1. This is particularly concerning on the heels of a Biden administration where Biden was in complete control, sharp as a tack, always found his way off an empty stage, never just read a teleprompter, and was probably the most lucid, dementia free POTUS in American history.

      1. Try answering the question.

If Trump explicitly denies involvement in the invocation of the Alien Enemies Act, and denies knowledge of the discussion to attack Yemen, then who exactly is making decisions.

Don’t deflect with MAGA BS about Biden, for which there is no evidence.

Trump EXPLICITLY denies involvement in these matters.
That is actual, irrefutable evidence that Trump is not in control of the government.
Straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.

        1. … for which there was no evidence…

          Bahaha 🤣 😂 Wahahahaha 😆

Plus there was no question to answer, genius.

          1. Trump said he did not sign the order to invoke the Alien Enemies Act for deportation.

            WHO DID SIGN IT ??????

Trump said he knew nothing of the chat session about Yemen, and was not involved.

WHO MADE THE DECISION TO ATTACK ?????

              1. Why is it ridiculous to ask who made decisions in which Trump EXPLICITLY denies involvement???

                Trump says it wasn’t him.

                WHO MADE THE DECISIONS ?????

    2. @Anonymous

Your gaslighting and projection don’t work anymore. Find a new schtick. 🙄🙄
