Trump Did It: Executives and Administrators Are Increasingly Using TDI to Fight DEI

Below is my column in The Hill on a new emerging mantra from businesses and universities seeking to roll back on DEI and other programs: Trump Did It. The TDI defense is allowing executives and administrators to do what they lacked the courage to do for years.

Here is the column:

“Trump made me do it.”

Across the country, this is a virtual mantra being mouthed everywhere from businesses to higher education. Corporations are eliminating woke programs. Why? Trump did it. Universities are eliminating DEI offices and cracking down on campus extremism. Trump did it. Democratic politicians are abandoning far-left policies. Trump did it.

For those who lack both courage or conviction, the claim of coercion is often the next best thing. The “TDI defense” is born.

Of course, they did not invent Trump, but they needed him. For years, schools like Harvard and Columbia ignored warnings about the rising antisemitism on campuses. They refused to punish students engaged in criminal conduct, including occupying and trashing buildings. These administrators did not want to risk being tagged by the far-left mob for taking meaningful action.

Then the election occurred, and suddenly they were able to blame Trump for doing what they should have been doing all along.

Administrators are now cracking down on extreme elements on campuses.

At the same time, hundreds of schools are closing DEI offices around the country. Again, most are not challenging the Trump administration’s orders on DEI or seeking to adopt more limited responses. They are all in with the move, while professing that they have little choice.

In other words, schools are increasingly turning to TDI to end DEI.

The legal landscape has changed with an administration committed to opposing many DEI programs as discriminatory and unlawful. However, it is the speed and general lack of resistance that is so notable. In most cases, the Trump administration did not have to ask twice. Trump seemed to “have them at hello,” as if they were longing for a reason to reverse these trends.

Many will continue to fight this fight surreptitiously. For example, shortly before the Trump election, the University of North Carolina System Board of Governors voted to ban DEI and focus on “institutional neutrality.” Yet, even Administrators emboldened by the TDI defense are finding resistance in their ranks. For exsmple, UNC Asheville Dean of Students Megan Pugh was caught on videotape, saying that eliminating these offices means nothing: “I mean we probably still do anyway… but you gotta keep it quiet.”  She added, “I love breaking rules.”

The Board, perhaps not feeling the same thrill, reportedly responded by firing her.

The same pattern is playing out in businesses. Over the last few weeks, companies ranging from Amazon to IBM have removed references to DEI programs or policies. Bank of America explained, “We evaluate and adjust our programs in light of new laws, court decisions, and, more recently, executive orders from the new administration.”

Once established, these DEI offices tended to expand as an irresistible force within their institutions and companies. Full-time diversity experts demanded additional hirings and policies on hiring, promotion, and public campaigns. Since these experts were tasked with finding areas for “reform,” their proposals were treated as extensions of that mandate. To oppose the reforms was to oppose the cause.

While some executives and administrators supported such efforts, others simply lacked the courage to oppose them. No one wanted to be accused of being opposed to “equity” or being racist, sexist, or homophobic. The results were continually expanding programs impacting every level of businesses and institutions.

Then Trump showed up. Suddenly, these executives and administrators had an excuse to reverse this trend. They could also rely on court decisions that have undermined long-standing claims of advocates that favoring certain groups at the expense of others was entirely lawful.

This week, the Supreme Court added to these cases with its unanimous ruling in Ames v. Ohio Department of Youth Services, to remove impediments to lawsuits by members of majority groups who are discriminated against.

For many years, lower courts have required members of majority groups (white, male, or heterosexual) to shoulder an added burden before they could establish claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. In a decision written by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the court rejected that additional burden and ordered that everyone must be treated similarly under the law.

Many commentators noted that the ruling further undermined the rationales for disparate treatment based on race or other criteria within DEI.

In other words, more of these programs are likely to be the subject of federal investigations and lawsuits. Of course, if these executives and administrators were truly committed to the programs in principle, they could resolve to fight in the courts. The alternative is just to blame Trump and restore prior policies that enforce federal standards against all discriminatory or preferred treatment given to employees based on race, sex, religion, or other classifications.

Former Vice President Hubert Humphrey once observed that “to err is human. To blame someone else is politics.” That is evident among politicians. For years, many moderate Democrats voted to support far-left agendas during the Biden administration, lacking the courage or principles to oppose the radical wing of the Democratic Party. Now, some are coming forward to say that the party has “lost touch with voters.”

Rather than admit that their years of supporting these policies were wrong, they blame Trump and argue that the party must move toward the center to survive.

The calculus is simple: You never act on principle when you can blame a villain instead. It is not a profile of courage but one of simple convenience. No need for admissions or responsibility — just TDI and done.

  1. Oh: Such Courage they’ve displayed. Image any of these weak-kneed leaders (and I use leaders with trepidation) commanding an Army; let’s say they were Generals who had to send many thousands of men to their death in a single battle, would they have the backbone to make that order, if history is right, they would NOT!

  2. The Democrat Civil War 2.0 is now official. My ivy-league relatives who laughed at me (and who no longer speak to me since Trump was reelected) are now wrong about the prospect of civil war, and their buddies on the Left proved me right.

California is in rebellion. I call it a rebellion because it has lots of encouragement and some leadership from Democrat pols, especially in California. Mexicans are waving Mexican flags in LA while they threaten and attack federal immigration enforcement.

Governor Nuisance has told Trump if he removes the troops protecting federal officials, LA law enforcement will handle it. Handle what exactly? Keep immigration officials safe while enforcing immigration law in California? Nuisance will never do that, and Democrats know it, which is why he’s saying it. Nuisance is required to protect everyone in California engaged in lawful activity. It’s not selective and it’s not conditional and he knows that but so far has refused to do so for obvious reasons.

What Nuisance is actually saying is that if Trump lets California nullify federal immigration law, Nuisance will send the rioters home (yeah, right; after they’ve run off federal officials). That’s literally a casus bello in our federal union. Nuisance had his chance. He’s compromised.

This is a rebellion and if Trump stands down, in time, California will belong more to Mexico and Beijing than it does to the rest of us.

Yeah, buddy. I voted for this. Time to declare war on Antifa and send in the troops.

        1. He was completely incompetent.
High as a kite most of the time on drugs and magic mushrooms.

        2. The final straw was when they found him boinking Stephen Miller’s wife in the janitor’s closet.

          1. Yeah, that’s right.
Apparently Miller’s wife ran off with him after he was fired.
            Stephen was NOT pleased !!!!?

          2. They were thinking of promoting Stephen to the coffee boy position, but they decided he is not really smart enough for that job.

  3. Aninny has turned the Turley Blog into a solid waste facility.

    Has anyone noticed?

The whole thing needs to be censored.

    1. Just testing the strength of the censorship ban on the site of the Indispensable Right.

      1. The indispensable right is to speak free of state-imposed restrictions or state-imposed punishment. It has nothing to do with what I will allow people to broadcast from my living room. This is Professor Turley’s metaphorical living room, and he has every right to clean up the stinking pile of the garbage the trolls throw on the floor. There is nothing inconsistent about that and still being an avid fan of the First Amendment.

        1. OldManFromKS,
Well said and spot on. Someone comes into your home, breaks all the dishes, kicks your dog, slaps your wife, takes a crap on the floor, you have every right to throw them out. All the annony morons should be thrown out. It is the good professor’s right. It is his blog.

          1. NotReallyaFarmer

You provide a perfect analogy for what Elmo and DOGE did to our government.
As Elmo said, move fast and break stuff.

Now he has been summarily “thrown out” as you demand.

            1. Wrong.
Musk and DOGE did exactly what we voted for. The government was broke long before even Trump came along. Trump, Musk, DOGE and other Republicans are trying to fix it.

              1. NotReallyaFarmer

Apparently you haven’t noticed that Musk and DOGE are history.
Trump says he does not plan on speaking to him ever again.
Now DOGE is being steadily pushed out in many agencies.

As Musk departed, some of his top lieutenants were streaming out of government. Among those heading for the exits even before Musk and Trump began feuding.

At the Federal Aviation Administration, for example, the DOGE team suffered a setback this week when leadership nixed their access to FAA buildings, a command center in Warrenton, Virginia, and the Air Traffic Academy in Oklahoma City, according to an employee briefed on the matter and records obtained by The Washington Post. Four DOGE staffers were also stripped of their credentials and user accounts inside the FAA’s internal computer systems, the records show.

As of June 2, the staffers — Brady Glantz, Samuel Smeal, Tom Kiernan and Theodore Malaska, all of whom are employees of Musk’s SpaceX — no longer bear the title of “senior adviser to the administrator” on their online profiles within the agency, per the records. In fact, their profiles no longer show any job title at all — nor an affiliated organization, manager, email or phone number, the records show.

At the FAA, a group of staffers went out for post-work drinks to toast the banishment of DOGE staff. Then they offered a more solemn toast to the more than two dozen colleagues they’d lost along the way.

There are many other similar instances.

The Navy has banned DOGE from certain facilities where they had free reign to roam about where classified activity was going on.

“At this time, [Navy Air Systems Command] Security is considering this an unauthorized access attempt,” a security official wrote in an email obtained by The Washington Post. The email instructed staffers to report people representing themselves as DOGE staffers to security officials or base police, to refuse to allow anyone to follow them into buildings, and to be on alert for suspicious behavior.

  4. Turley: did you ever consider a career as a fiction writer? You might, because that is mostly what you do–where do you get off trying to claim that schools and businesses don’t want DEI programs, and that they were just waiting for Trump to come along and use him as an excuse for eliminating such programs? Turley alleges that the lack of push-back somehow “proves” that businesses and companies never wanted DEI programs. Uh, did you consider, maybe, Turley, it’s because they don’t want to pay lawyers to defend them in Court when the vindictive Trump administration comes after them? Of course, Turley doesn’t cite ANY business CEO or college administrator saying that they never wanted DEI and are grateful to Trump for giving them an excuse to eliminate it–and the following report about Target is enlightening–From CNN Business–5/21/25:

“Target was already facing a very public revolt from some of its most loyal customers. Now it’s warning about tariffs.

The company said Wednesday that sales fell last quarter, driven in part by customer backlash to Target’s reversal on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs. Target also cut its guidance as President Donald Trump’s tariffs push up costs for the company.

Target’s sales at stores open for at least a year tumbled 3.8% last quarter. Fewer customers visited Target and spent less when they shopped. Target also cut its financial outlook, a sign Target’s problems won’t go away quickly. The company expects sales to decline by low single-digits this year.”

And, contrary to Turley’s made up claim that Trump “had them at hello”, the fat one is threatening to withdraw federal funding from colleges and universities if they don’t comply. But, of course, Turley isn’t paid by MAGA media to be fair or measured–he’s paid to defend Trump and his racism, so he makes up the line that businesses and colleges never wanted DEI and are grateful that Trump has given them an excuse to eliminate it.

    1. ATS as has been pointed out repeatedly DEI violates he Civil Rights Act.
The Supreme court has essentially just ruled – as it has for some time – that discrimination is discrimination.
      And it is all illegal.

Do businesses not wish to face lawsuits from the Trump administration – certainly.
Did businesses not wish to face lawsuits from the Biden administration – certainly.

The core difference is that Biden was wrong and forcing discrimination, and Trump is right and ending it.

Few if any businesses are going to comment. Nearly every business has customers on the left and the right.
Anything they say will piss of some customers.

Trump Made me do it or previously Biden made me do it are defenses against clients who are offended – regardless of what choices the businesses make.

Few businesses will make a stand on principles that are divorced from theiri business when defending those principles will cost half their customers.

“The company said Wednesday that sales fell last quarter, driven in part by customer backlash to Target’s reversal on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs. ”
Or maybe they fell BECAUSE of their programs.

“Target’s sales at stores open for at least a year tumbled 3.8% last quarter. Fewer customers visited Target and spent less when they shopped. Target also cut its financial outlook, a sign Target’s problems won’t go away quickly. The company expects sales to decline by low single-digits this year.””

Overall retail sales are down 0.1% anually from March, but UP 5.2% from April 2024.

    2. The Democrat party is the party of violence. They are the party of defending violent criminal illegals. They are the party that supports riots, arson, looting, destruction of property. They are the party that encourages violence against LEOs. They are the party who de-funded police departments. They are the party of lawlessness.

  5. Good news for Democrats, they found new heroes to defend while they attack Trump.

Bad news for Democrats, the new heroes are burning cars, circling them, closing down freeways all while waving Mexican flags.

Democrats can dig out new 20/80 issues like a pig rooting our truffles, it truly is an amazing ability.

This isn’t 2020 when the national zeitgeist was far to the left and Democrats let cities burn to the ground. Trump learned his lesson, stop the riots, be strong, defend property and average citizens and the majority of people will support you. Democrats have a “weak guy” image and here they are saying let the people close highways and burn cars while their opponent sends in the guard because the leftists told the police to stand down.

    1. PS. Senator Chris Murphy says that “we need to take to the streets all over the country” as Americans watch cars burning, cops being attacked by rock throwing goons and rioters waving Mexican flags. How is it possible to be so out of touch with the national mood as to make this lame attempt to be the leading lefty candidate going into 2028? I know he left his wife for a younger PR lefty “girl”, but I don’t believe he is thinking with the right brain. In other words he’s doing a Belichick.

    2. They are also burning the American flag

Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom have given a helluva a gift to Donald Trump and Republicans.
Put a fork in Democrats. They are done

      🤡

      1. Wow, what incredible losers Newsom and Waters are. Never through pearls to swine.

        It’s quite an eye opening.

    3. Democrats continue this stupid strategy of picking the 20 side of 80/20 issues.
Worse they do so devoid of principles. They are defending violent criminals.

Everyone – left and right should be falling over themselves to cooperate to deport these people.

  6. Mexico has officially renamed the Liberty Bell “the TACO Bell,” the Mexican president announced on Monday.

Effective immediately, the landmark will be referred to as the TACO Bell in all Mexican atlases, encyclopedias, and history textbooks, President Claudia Sheinbaum said.

In her announcement, she gave Donald J. Trump “full credit” for the name change.

“Thanks to Donald Trump, when one thinks of America, one no longer thinks of liberty,” she said. “One thinks of TACO.”

    1. Maybe they can get Elon Musk for the job.

And speaking of Elon when are we going to get an update on his nomination for a presidential medal of freedom?

  7. Hey honey let’s go have some fun tonight. We could burns some cars and throw some rocks at police for arresting the heinous criminals that we love with all our hearts. Hey baby.
Don’t care if your young or old
    Get together
    Let the good times roll.
Imagine that you have to work with such a good times guy.
Burn a car let the good times role
Shut down traffic so an ambulance can’t get a kid to the hospital
    Let the good times role
Throw a brick at a cop who puts his life on the line every day to keep you safe
    Let the good times role.
Right down to your soul if you have one
    Let the good times role
    Blame it all on Trump
    Let the good times role

    1. SQUIRREL! Elon Musk is making a fool of Trump, ratting him out for being in the Epstein files, his Big Beautiful Bill is tanking and there are no trade deals, instead of the 90 deals in 90 days he promised,–so what do to? Diversion tactics. MAGAverse is making up a lie that there are out of control riots all over LA, and that the fat, draft-dodging coward just “has” to send in the National Guard (without consulting Gov. Newsome) and the Marines (that he really believes are “suckers and losers”). Trump LIED about discussing it with either Mayor Bass or Gov. Newsome–in fact the Governor said that Trump’s claim that he discussed it before sending in the National Guard is a “stone cold lie”. There were a few isolate skirmishes, but overall, the protests, all caused by Trump and is ICE raids–mostly without any warrants–were peaceful. In any event the LA Police and Sheriff had the situation under control, and the Guard and Marines were not needed or wanted. But, Trump just HAS to create a diversion away from the negative publicity, so he deploys the Guard and Marines.

And, where did ICE go? To Home Depot, which, as well all must know, is a hangout for the migrant criminals–right? It must be because that’s where ICE went–all of which triggered the protests.

      1. Mr. Musk has a disorder and everyone knows it. He’s having a fit right now due to death threats. He has his family to worry about. He’s overloaded.

      2. The TDS is strong in this one.

ATS do you understand – you have lied – especially about Trump so often no one even listens.

The epstein files will ultimately be released. Or they will not. Only if after a long time they are NOT released will most people question Trump
We are tired opf the lies and can wait for real evidence.
No one is buying another collusion delusion hoax.

Same with Tariffs, and peace deals and all the rest of Trump’s agenda.
Better still – YOUR massive obstruction gives Trump and excuse for delays in succeeding.

Trump exagerates – pretty much everyone knows that.
But Trump always delivers on his promises – everyone outside the left knows that.

Trump has made a great deal of progress – facing massive opposition, on large portions of his agenda.
But he has NOT accomplished everything on “day one” or day 100. But that is NOT what most people care about.

The Trump musk feud is mostly over. But that does not matter much. Musk is not fighting to undo Trump’s cuts as the left wants, he is fighting for MORE cuts.

I can support Trump – get as much as possible now, and Musk we nee far more.
There is evidence that recisions packages are coming.

Of course OBBB will pass. There iwill be some changes in the Senate and then the conference comittee will have to work out the differences.

What passes will as Musk has said, be an abomination.
It also will be an improvement on what we have now.

Despite left wing nut cliams Trumps support has been solid shifting between 50-53% There is no downward trend.

There are no “diversion tactics” – Trump is fighting the left on multiple fronts concurrently.
Every day there is a story about a temporary loss.
Every day there is a temporary of permanent win.

“MAGAverse is making up a lie that there are out of control riots all over LA,”
False, but not actually that relevant. In the summer of love in 2020 the left made clear they were violent thugs.
You have a reputation, and your not undoing it by fighting stupid and unpopulat battles and engaging in violence to do so.

Bass could have ordered the police to stop the riots.
Newsome could have ordered the National Guard to stop the riots.

Trump has deployed 2000 NG troops – that is less than the CP officers at J6, that is less than the MP officers at J6 that is 1/5th the NG at J6.
        This is a small deployment.

Either it will end the violence, or the left will escalate and Trump will call out even more NG troops.

it was Bass’s job to stop the rights – she failed.
It was Newsomes job to stop the riots – he failed.
        They abdicated responsibility to Trump.

You may not like it – but this looks good for Trump.
The left keeps giving Trump win-win situations.

No one cares whether Trump discussed this, only whether it is something that should have been done, and why didn;t Bass or Newsome do it.
Further no one beleives you or Newsome of Bass because you have lied so often.

Law enforcement does not CAUSE a riot by following and enforcing the law.
The responsibility for riots rests with rioters.

Trump does not Trust Bass or Newsome – and with good reason.

Of course Trump wants the NG there to protect ICE.

      3. A good analysis of the Trade issue without talking about Trump.
The author points out that Tariffs are a BI-PARTISAN ISSUE.
That Biden continued ALL thr Trump trade policies.
RANTING about Trump for doing what Democrats wish they had the courage to do and continue on their own after Trump has done so, is just hypocracy.

  8. Turley– “Of course, they did not invent Trump, but they needed him.”

Seems like the entire world needed him. He shows it is possible.

    1. In 100 years he will be recognized as one of America’s greatest presidents. People will also shake their heads in wonder that a dementia-riddle corpse, and one of the most corrupt politicians in American history, who went by the name of “Joe Biden” could ever have held that office, even nominally.

      1. I see you also love fiction. Read news from other countries, trump is a joke, How is international travel to the states doing? Down. Why? trump
How is the tariff fight going? Any day now we will have signed deals. Oh sorry, we had signed deals months ago, except we didn’t. trump is a lier, JD is a lier, and JT is following suite, Seemed to work to get JD and trump boatloads of money, just lie your ASS off and dumb she-ts like you pay up. Sheepish,

        trump is a joke.

  9. Democrats were never about diversity, equity, nor inclusion. The list is long of minorities who are/were cast to the curb by Democrats because these minorities did not tow the DNC/MSM party line. Case in point is the current Virginia governor’s race. The Democrat nominee is lily white, Abigail Spanberger; the Republican is Black Immigrant (Jamaican) Winsome Earle-Sears. A recent poll showed Spanberger is leading by 4% to Sears.

    From the Pantheon/HarrisX poll memo:

On a two-way ballot for the Gubernatorial race in November, Spanberger leads outside the margin of error (52%-48%), and her base of support is stronger: with 31% “definitely” supporting Spanberger compared to 23% for Sears. Both candidates have their partisan bases largely consolidated, with 91% of Democrats supporting Spanberger and 92% of Republicans supporting Sears. Independents lean toward Spanberger 53% to 47%. Nearly a third of Black voters (32%) support Sears.
    https://www.vafree.org/p/exclusive-virginia-poll-race-for

It is revealing that 91% of Democrats supporting Spanberger

Suddenly Virginia Democrats are not for DEI when it comes to electing a black woman as Governor of the former Confederate Capital, the Commonwealth of Virginia.

It is hard not to like Ms. Sears. She is a former US Marine (Corporal), she is an immigrant turned US Citizen, hardworking woman, devoted mother and wife, ran a homeless shelter at one time (Salvation Army), served in the Virginia House of Delegates, and she is Virginia’s first female lieutenant governor, first black woman to hold statewide office in Virginia, all qualities that Democrats should celebrate to make Ms. Sears the first Black woman to be elected governor in the United States

But nah…. why support DEI when a lily white woman is around who better represents Democrats? Besides, Democrat Congresswoman Becca Balint showed the true soul of Democrats when she said about immigrants: “to wipe our asses”.

Winsome Sears would be a starke break from the Confederate history of Virginia and she would be an incredible role model for women, minorities and immigrants.

    Live not by lies

    1. Reminiscent of the Left’s hatred of Clarence Thomas from more than 30 years ago. Thomas came from a very poor background in the segregated Deep South, ended up going to Yale Law School, and before being nominated to Scotus became a judge on the second-most-powerful court in the country, the DC Circuit. His primal sin: under John Danforth’s tutelage in the Missouri Office of Attorney General, he had his eyes opened to reality and moved from Left to Right.

      1. Thomas Sowell is the greatest example, a truly brilliant economist, and completely ignored by Democrats.
Walter Williams (RIP) was another one. Clarence Thomas’s childhood upbringing is jaw dropping – a product of a Jesuit education (College of the Holy Cross). Condi Rice is yet another one. The list is long

Marco Rubio has become an incredible political force in America. Needless to say I’m biased but the man has really shown he has cojones especially in dealing with Democrats at Congressional Hearings as well as with the MSM.

  10. Today June 9, 2025 arguably the most powerful official in America is California Attorney General (Rob Bonta) – not Trump!

Bonta has the constitutional right and oath-sworn duty to uphold the constitutional rights of all persons in California.

Today, Bonta could criminally indict any federal official violating the constitutional rights of Californians.

For example: if Bonta were to indict Trump’s immigrations officials or National Guard members, there would be no presidential pardons if those officials were convicted in a court of law.

Also Trump’s officials may want to review the “Nuremberg Legal Defense” precedent from World War Two. American government officials have an oath-sworn duty to refuse illegal orders. Simply following orders from government supervisors that are disloyal to the American oath of office doesn’t provide immunity from criminal prosecution.

Pam Bondi also made a promise to GOD to follow and uphold the U.S. Constitution and protect the constitutional rights of California citizens under federal “color of law” criminal statutes like US Code 241-245.

If the California Attorney General indicts Trump’s federal officials – there is no presidential pardon!

    1. @Anonymous

You seem to be unaware of the pecking order in our legal system and also unaware that acts of violence and unrest are not constitutional rights; you also seem to be oblivious to the fact that people here illegally do not have the same rights as natural born citizens.

More likely, you are perfectly aware, are obfuscating and gaslighting quite intentionally (likely for money), and seem to be unaware of who you are actually addressing in this particular forum. You are also seemingly unaware that less and less does your chicanery influence anyone else, either. 🙄🙄

      1. Pick on someone your own size, James. Leave our resident retard, Peter Hill / Svelaz / George / Dennis / elvis bug / Gigi / Wally / Concerned Citizen et al, alone

        🤪

  11. Former Vice President Hubert Humphrey once observed that “to err is human. To blame someone else is politics.” Truer words were never spoken. Now they’re blaming Trump for the riots (not peaceful) protests in L.A. The socialists are protesting in favor of the people who rape women and children, wife beaters, thieves, drug dealers, human traffickers and murderers who murder after hours of torture. They only do all of these things because Trump made them do it. But it’s not just the socialist on the street who support these gang bangers. The support for their brothers in arms also comes from the Governor of California and the L.A. city Mayor. It kinda makes you feel kinda sick and sad. Thankfully you have a vote.

    1. Well, they aren’t wrong. Trump was itching to send the National guard because it makes him look strong like Kim or Putin.

There was no need for it. Sending the NG only made things worse. So yes, the escalation of the violence is Trump’s fault. He’s a moron that loves to project power at the first sign that anyone dares to defy him.

      1. You live in opposite world. Federal law enforcement officers were being violently assaulted and blocked from carrying out their lawful duties. Trump’s sending in the NG was necessitated by those lawless and violent actions, especially when the political leadership in California made it clear they would do nothing about it. You want chaos to reign, Trump and the American people generally would prefer a nation of law and order. You want the destruction of civilization, Trump and the American people generally favor preserving civilization.

        1. @oldman

Yes, they are all very intentionally skipping over the ‘federal’ part, just as their activist judge overlords do, and as the Pravda, er – MSM, do. Trump has every right to intervene. And yes, the urban coasts are not the country and the vast majority of us completely approve of Trump’s actions in this matter. People do not like Newsome or Bass a fraction as much as their magic mirrors tell them people like them.

        2. OldManFromKS,
You are correct. Those federal agents were doing their job, to arrest and deport illegals and got assaulted. They needed support. The sheriff’s department was trying to re-establish law and order and Trump provided it with deploying the NG. Meanwhile the lawless Democrats are doing nothing to stop the violence, the rioting, the arson, the destruction of property. If anything the Democrats are supporting and even encouraging the lawlessness.

      2. To be so detached from reality is willful. Most Americans cannot afford to ignore facts, but it’s a hallmark of the left. Feel free to revisit “The Summer Of Love” where $Billions in damage and destruction were caused by democrat mobs, and tell us again about the “peaceful” protestors. In short, you’re absolutely full of xxxx.

      3. Are you old enough to remember the Watts riots???? You are so ignorant of your own ignorance that it is just a waste of space for you to even post – but I suspect that is your end goal – create chaos and dissention wherever you can.

      4. “Sending the NG only made things worse.”

        Nice try.

Those of us with two eyes saw what happened during your “summer of love” to those cities and states that did *not* deploy the NG.

  12. This further illustrates that most of the “resistance” to both MAGA and Project 2025 was fueled by a Golem created by the media/education industry at the behest and strong urging of the prog/left democrats.

This facade that pushed the notion that the majority of this nation was jumping on this insane bandwagon has been shattered by a few with enough spine to finally stand up and shine a strong light on the corruption, collusion and pernicious nuttiness of movements such as transgenderism, CRT, BLM and DEI – just to name a few.

My hope would be that, at this point in our nation’s perilous time, enough of the prog/left dominos will start to fall and, perhaps, we may yet save this nation from becoming Europe again.

    1. @Anonymous

It’s almost a certainty, given today’s and yesterday’s dem talking points, that more riots have been planned and funded. They really do think we are stupid and they can do 2020 all over again. They are despicable.

Tin foil hat me thinks they might be counting on federal intervention so they can turn around and accuse Trump of imposing martial law or some other nonsense.

Regardless, it’s all calculated, yes, taxpayers are freaking paying for it, and our modern dems are some of the most vile people to ever work (I won’t dignify it by calling it ‘service’) in government. Thankfully they are also self-important idiots that make cellophane appear opaque.

      1. James: I’m waiting for Staceey Abrams a/k/a Fundraiser-in-Kind, through her multiple d/b/a NGOs, to get Georgia caught up to California. It’s like watching spilled gasoline sink into hard soil and spread horizontally instead of vertically.

      2. ^clumsy me tried to correct my finger stuck on the eees in Abrams’ name and hit send.

  13. IOW, Trump is the leader we needed with the courage to stand up to the DEI mafia. They hate him but needed him. He has given the weaker and more frightened people in corporate and academia a way to save millions of dollars on destructive DEI Marxist programs, and in the process to save countless souls from being corrupted or bullied by them.

Now in light of the above, I fully expect the heads of TDS sufferers on this blog to explode. Cuing in one, two three . . .

  14. Wow!! UNC Asheville Dean of Students Megan Pugh demonstrates to the entire world she is a coward. I bet there are many employers salivating to pick her up as an employee now that she is in the job hunting mode.

Suggestion for you Megan Pugh! Contact Mayor Bass in LA. With her track record, she will be looking for even just warm bodies as the rats pile out of the ship.

  15. The State Department has issued an important travel warning for those considering travelling to sh!thole countries.

Travellers should avoid countries where the following problems are growing.
    1. Countries with uncontrolled measles outbreaks.
    2. Countries where random foreigners on the street are arrested.
    3. Countries where air travel is unsafe due to poor air traffic control.

    Oh wait ………………………..

    1. The State Department has issued an important travel warning for those considering travelling to sh!thole countries, states and cities,
      1. Where the government can dictate how parents can raise their kids.
      2. Where biological males can compete in women’s sports, denying those real women medals, awards and scholarships.
      3. Where biological males are allowed in real women’s locker rooms and bathrooms.
      4. Where pornography is allowed in elementary school libraries.
      5. Where assaulting LEOs from carrying out their lawful duties to protect the American public from violent criminal illegals is encouraged.
      6. Where politicians encourage people to riot, assault LEOs, commit acts of arson, looting and destruction of property.
      7. Where local or state government restricts LEOs from arresting people who harass, intimidate or even assault others.
      8. Where institutions encourage pro-terrorists to protest, sometimes even violently, harass, intimidate or even assault others and or will not punish those who commit acts of harassment, intimidation or assault.

      Oh, wait . . .

  16. “DEI” might also stand for “Dysfunctional, Elitist, Ignorant.” The sooner it disappears from the landscape and the lexicon, the better.

    1. So true, but they are like weeds in your lawn, unless you get to the root, this (under a new name) will re-appear – as it must for them – as these elites and their tools resolve to topple those Americans who are attempting to turn this levithan around. What we need now is some weedkiller to end this infestation once and for all.
