Christian McGhee, 17, has secured a significant victory for free speech in North Carolina after the Davidson County Board of Education settled a case over his suspension for using the term “illegal alien.” What is disturbing is that, once again, the school officials themselves appear to have escaped any accountability for their abusive treatment of this student.
Christian received a three-day suspension for using the phrase while discussing word meanings during his English class at Central Davidson High School in Lexington on April 9, 2024.
A teacher gave the teen an assignment that used the word “alien,” and he asked, “Like space aliens or illegal aliens without green cards?” After a Hispanic student in McGhee’s class “joked” that he was going to “kick Christian’s ass,” the teacher escalated the matter to Central Davidson’s assistant principal, Eric Anderson.
It was Anderson who “declared that his comment was racially motivated” that resulted in the suspension. When Leah McGhee attempted to appeal the suspension, school administrators refused to back down. The Board members also gave her the stiff arm.
She then retained an attorney with the Liberty Justice Center’s Educational Freedom group and filed a lawsuit under the first amendment.
The board has now agreed to remove all references to racial bias in McGhee’s school record and issue a public apology “for the mischaracterization of racial bias” in his record, documents show.
The problem is that there is no indication that the school officials or Board members responsible for this travesty will be held accountable in any way. They not only abused his young man, but they cost the county money in litigation and settlement. After forcing this family into court, they are now just shrugging and walking away.
Until these officials incur real consequences for such actions, this pattern will continue to repeat itself.

Thank you! Yes, “illegal alien” is used 33 x in immigration law.
Webster’s has a few definitions of “alien.” The first definition is “belonging to another country or people; foreign.”
Some people may subjectively dislike the term alien, or feel it is demeaning (see below), but from an objective point of view it first and foremost means from another country. There is nothing demeaning about that. It is just a factual description, and the poor kid harmed by the leftist school administrators has the dictionary on his side. Similarly, “illegal” is descriptive, as in “illegal drugs.” Doesn’t demean the drugs, just says it’s against the law to possess or distribute them. That is a legislative choice. The legislature represents the interests of the people, and they make certain drugs, and certain modes of entering the country, illegal. The idea is to protect the people of this country from unvetted foreigners coming in and harming American citizens. It is cruel to Americans to *not* vigorously enforce immigration laws. There have been many, many young women raped and murdered who would have been spared by vigorous enforcement, not to mention the tens of thousands of Chinese and Iranian nationals, some subset of which are in sleeper cells and will cause mayhem to American citizens in the future if they are not caught.
The Leftists carry around signs saying, “No person is illegal.” They misconstrue the term. Anyone who has violated the laws of this nation in order to enter it is an “illegal alien,” just like drugs that may not be possessed or distributed are “illegal drugs.” In this debate over word usage, the Left (as usual) has only emotions on its side, and it is only its their emotions, not those of any logical, clear-headed, educated person.
While “Racists Unite” is not completely dead as a Marxist dog whistle, there does seem to be a break in the clouds. The human tendency of ignoring the tenth howl of the little boy who cried wolf, is at play and the public is well past being bored stiff with the sensationalized ad nauseam of it. Biden’s Hitler speeches alleging White folks are all racist fell on deaf ears, perhaps because he conveniently left out the part where he acknowledged the Democrat party as being historically White racists opposing every measure put forth by Republicans to provide for racial equality in the Nation and supporting segregation and George Wallace. Interestingly enough Biden, being a close chum to Robert Byrd forgot his own part in supporting racism and segregation. Senator Byrd being a former organizer and member of the KKK, who later renounced his membership to the organization, although his early record in Congress on race and civil rights was mixed. Ya think!

According to metadata embedded in the released footage, the “raw footage” released by the FBI had been run through Adobe Pro editing software, and several minutes are missing–does this prove that Epstein didn’t commit suicide? No, but it proves that what was released is NOT “raw footage”, and is just more reasons to suspect a cover-up.

It’s pretty clear. Just release all the evidence. If highly respected famous or rich people go down, so be it. I fully expect people that I admire to be included when this evidence is ultimately released. I will certainly hate it, but I will accept it. That enabled a bunch of other dominoes to fall and ultimately Cosby.
