This week, we have another attack on a display by conservative students at a U.S. university. Student members of Turning Point USA watched as a student, Justice Calhoon, flipped over their table at the University of Iowa. Notably, Calhoon had previously tossed a table of the school’s Young America’s Foundation (YAF) just days before. Calhoon has now been arrested.
The complaint says that Calhoon came from a residence hall and was displaying “disruptive and aggressive behavior.” The officer noted that “[u]pon arrival, Defendant disrupted their assembly by flipping the groups [sic] table, made obscene gestures, and shouted profanity, including ‘s— my d—,’ while flipping off the group.”
Calhoon was arrested and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, fifth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of third-degree harassment.
This incident follows one at the Oklahoma State University where a YAF table was attacked after students displayed a large sign that stated, “Marriage = 1 man + 1 woman.” The student said “you do not deserve a conversation.”
Likewise, we previously discussed how a table was toss by a teaching assistant at Illinois State University. That individual was also later arrested for posts allegedly threatening President Donald Trump’s life. Derek Lopez, 27, was fired and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

His federal arrest was linking to an Oct. 27 X post in which he allegedly said “I’m gonna kill Donald Trump, idgaf.”
The affidavit stated that “He explained he posted on social media about how he wanted to kill Nazis. He said it feels like Nazism and Fascism is on the rise. He stated he doesn’t want to kill people but his honest opinion some powerful people should be killed.”
“Cry harder,” the comment said. “Every day, hundreds of frail little kids in palestine [sic] die. Charlie Kirk spoke out, not to END their suffering but IN FAVOR of it. That was his free speech. My free speech is this: I Derek S Lopez, killed him. I killed Charlie Kirk.”
The important thing to remember is that this was a person that someone at the university felt should be a teaching assistant.
These incidents show the sense of license and righteous rage of many on campuses today. That is fed by a culture of orthodoxy and viewpoint intolerance that pervades higher education in the United States today.
Peace, love, and respectful conversation are NOT tenets for Proletariat progress and are merely Bourgeoisie rules for fair play, as is the basis of the US Constitution. Socialism comes in many varieties, including the tamed, plodding benevolence of America’s Democrat leaders, and these on-campus incidents are merely an expected, inevitable, resurgence of public confrontation against any and all opponents to Progressivism, along with taking of the keys from aged, weak Democrats who’ve been slow-driving their party’s bus. Properly funded and organized Democracy that won the 2025 elections will serve well to advance youthful resolve and demands for rapid advances toward modernity of the greater movement in the wake of Trumpian Americanism’s defeats of decrepit Biden and ineffective Harris. The Leftist escalation will proceed in its course 2026 and beyond, until yet again the wealthy global power-elite is cowed into place and the vise from above and below finally expunges the encumbrance of nostalgic middle-class American voters. This war of ideologies and power will not be won with politeness, shyness, or fair play. Pain drives policy (no pain, no gain) they say. Shut the Fed Govt down for a month, or a year if need be. It ultimately drives society Leftward no matter the details or apportionment of blame.

But it’s not limited to higher education, as Tuesday’s election proved. The Democrat voters of Virginia elected a man who said he wanted to put two bullets in the head of his opponent, and who wished death upon his opponent’s children. A left-wing woman in Maine who was convicted of an actual killing nonetheless won election to a city council. This is moving fast in a bad direction.
Non-enforcement of the rioting, looting and arson by the woke world members has only incentivized acceptance of more anti-social behavior that has diminished a peaceful, law abiding, civilized nation.

Nobody else has the time. Being able to recruit students is absolutely critical. Attacking TPUSA on campus is strategic, as it inhibits our ability to recruit students. Anonymous 11:49AM-I think it’s because they are very sick mentally. There have been a variety of conditions discovered in Men claiming to be trans. Many are not gender dysphoria disorder, some are severely depressed, others have personality disorders, some are psychopaths, sociopaths, even bipolar disorder. Unfortunately many get labeled trans on fairly slim proof and by physicians and mental health professionals who have been drinking the trans Kool-aid. The studies arising in Europe have severely debunked much of the trans gospel. That’s why they have been shutting down programs and treatments in many national health plans. I think all individuals who are labeled as trans should have a mandatory second opinion by a physician or mental health professional totally disconnected from the trans treatment complex. Lots of conflict of interest there.
