Sen. Elizabeth Warren has called for Harvard and other institutions to sever all ties with Larry Summers, who was Treasury secretary under President Bill Clinton, after the disclosure of his private communications with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. As in the past, however, Warren seems strikingly selective in her outrage with those “cozying up” to Epstein, given the communications revealed with other Democrats, including Del. Stacey Plaskett, Virgin Islands’ congressional representative.
The messages from Summers are deeply troubling as he chats away with the sex offender, including discussing Summers’ interest in particular women. After the disclosures, Summers announced that he will continue to teach at Harvard but will be stepping back from public commitments: “I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused. I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein.”
In a March 2019 exchange, they corresponded about a woman Summers was interested in. This was when Epstein was awaiting trial on federal charges. Summers is also shown repeating his earlier views, questioning whether women are biologically as intelligent as men.
Sen. Warren demanded action to remove Summers: “For decades, Larry Summers has demonstrated his attraction to serving the wealthy and well-connected, but his willingness to cozy up to a convicted sex offender demonstrates monumentally bad judgment.”
There are serious concerns raised by firing academics over their private communications made outside of a school. As deeply offensive as his views are, Summers has a right to express them. He also has a right to pursue theories that others may find obnoxious and wrong (as do I) as an academic.
The public declarations of Warren, however, omit any mention of others shown “cozying up” to Epstein on the Democratic side, from Bill Clinton to Del. Plaskett.
One of the most surprising disclosures was the communication between Plaskett and Epstein. The latter owned two islands in the Virgin Islands and indicated a familiarity with the delegate.
Plaskett has long been criticized by the free speech community for her suggestion of the arrest of journalists and support for speech controls and censorship.
In one series of emails, Jeffrey Epstein was feeding questions to Plaskett during a 2019 congressional hearing. Once again, Epstein was already a known sex offender and human trafficker. Yet, Plaskett actively seeks his advice during the hearing, even exchanging playful comments on how great she looked and her habit of chewing on camera.
In texts, first reported by the Washington Post, Epstein coaches Plaskett during a Feb. 27, 2019, House Oversight Committee hearing with the then-former president’s ex-attorney Michael Cohen. Ironically, it was a hearing on how Donald Trump allegedly paid payments to mistresses to silence them. She was getting pointers from one of the most notorious abusers of young women in the last decade.
Epstein gives Plaskett a running review of the testimony, and Plaskett pushes him for more. For example, at one point, he wrote “Cohen brought up RONA – keeper of the secrets,” misspelling Graff’s first name, Rhona.
“RONA??” responded Plaskett, “Quick I’m up next is that an acronym[?]”
“Thats his assistant,” Epstein replied. Plaskett proceeded to question Cohen on Graff.
Epstein continues to prep Plaskett, saying that “[Cohen] opened the door to questions re who are the other henchmen at trump org.” She responded, “Yup. Very aware and waiting my turn.”
Epstein is shown boosting Plaskett and encouraging her.
At 2:34 p.m., Epstein told Plaskett, “Good work”after she finished her questioning. He also gives comments on her outfit and warns her about her habit of chewing on camera.
In the morning of the hearing, he tells Plaskett, “Great outfit,” and then twenty minutes later says, “You look great.”
Most people receiving such a message from a sexual abuser would find it chilling, but Plaskett writes, “Thanks!”
None of that, however, represents “cozying up” for Warren.
The fact is that these files are tarnishing many on both sides. Trump himself has had to explain pictures with Epstein, and these files show Epstein alluding to having dirt on Trump. The President has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and noted that he had Epstein thrown out of his club due to his pursuit of young girls at Mar-a-Lago.
One has to wonder what Larry Summers for fellow Democrat Elizabeth Warren to turn on him?
Will ultrasubcretin Lizzy “Pocahontas” Warren be demanding that Hakeem Jeffries step down and disappear forever from politics?

The breaking of the story had to be done by a Florida news outlet. The victims went to The Times and The Post with their story and both papers never published their accusations. Two Victims went to Vanity Fair and they said that they didn’t publish their accusations because they didn’t have a third confirmation. One might think that they they would search far and wide for a third witness but instead just like the above named news outlets that tried to suppress the Monica Lewinsky story they put it under the cushion on their office chairs and sat on it. There are very valid and obvious reasons why newspapers such as the The Times and The Post would not publish uncorroborated “accusations” against prominent people. That is NOT “suppressing” information–it is engaging in actual journalism, something that MAGA media does not do. An actual journalist would obtain clear, legally-defensible corroborating evidence before publishing salacious material that implicates promiment people in committing crimes, especially crimes against children. Today’s piece is a prime example of the slanted twist put out by MAGA media–Turley is looking for some way to criticize Senator Warren instead of concentrating on the big story of the day–Trump’s loss of power with the Republicans in Congress–hopefully just a beginning chink in the armor that he has relied on to abuse the power he lied to obtain. That alone should be enough for impeachment. Trump would have tried to lie and claim he didn’t know Epstein, except for the massive amount of photo and video evidence proving otherwise.
Trump ordered Bottle Blondie to “investigate” Democrats, so portions of the files will not be released on the basis that they are the object of a criminal investigation. AND, as has already been reported, 1,000 FBI agents were already deployed to indentify and sanitize the Epstein files of references to Trump. That won’t work either because there are just too many current and former DOJ and FBI employees that have seen the file and know what’s supposed to be in there. That’s, of course, not considering the stories of the individual victims themselves. Then, there’s the Epstein Estate, which holds title to his emails, banking records, papers, videos and photos and willingly cooperates with subpoenas for the information–the Estate is where Trump’s “birthday message” to Epstein was obtained—that he, of course, lies about. Trump will still try to suppress information, though. So, what does MAGA media do in view of these facts–attack The Times and The Post, attack Senator Warren and go after Bill Clinton–that’s not going to work, either. The American people are fed up with Trump and his lies, shown by the “No Kings” protest marches all over the country, the landslide victories of Democrats in the election on November 4th, consistently low polling numbers, and the failing economy that also he keeps lying about, due not just to his incompetence, but his illegal tariffs. So, he backs down–but he’s still going to try to keep us from finding out the truth. Hopefully, this scandal will finally bring him down.

Abstract
Recent comments by the eminent biologist James Watson concerning intelligence test data from sub-Saharan Africa resulted in professional sanctions as well as numerous public condemnations from the media and the scientific community. They justified these sanctions to the public through an abuse of trust, by suggesting that intelligence testing is a meaningless and discredited science, that there is no data to support Dr. Watson’s comments, that genetic causes of group differences in intelligence are falsified logically and empirically, and that such differences are already accounted for by known environment factors. None of these arguments are correct, much less beyond legitimate scientific debate. Dr. Watson was correct on all accounts: (1) Intelligence tests do reveal large differences between European and sub-Saharan African nations, (2) the evidence does link these differences to universally valued outcomes, both within and between nations, and (3) there is data to suggest these differences are influenced by genetic factors. The media and the larger scientific community punished Dr. Watson for violating a social and political taboo, but fashioned their case to the public in terms of scientific ethics. This necessitated lying to the public about numerous scientific issues to make Watson appear negligent in his statements; a gross abuse of valuable and fragile public trust in scientific authority. Lies and a threatening, coercive atmosphere to free inquiry and exchange are damaging to science as an institution and to scientists as individuals, while voicing unfashionable hypotheses is not damaging to science. The ability to openly voice and argue ideas in good faith that are strange and frightening to some is, in fact, integral to science. Those that have participated in undermining this openness and fairness have therefore damaged science, even while claiming to protect it with the same behavior.
