Democrats Fight to Keep the Insurrection Myth Alive in the New J6 Committee

  1. The FBI/Undercover Agents paid by the FBI (same damned thing) started that so called riot, funny no one ever says the leftists when the invade the Senate hearing or try to stall hearings are committing a crime.

      1. You stole my thunder. But thanks. I would not use the p-word but accuse him of still harboring political correctness at times so he can attend cocktail parties and keep his job.

      2. Actually it was a riot at times. But that’s only due to the FBI instigators in the crowd egging everyone on (Ray Epps anyone?). This was a complete and total setup by the democrats.

    1. Yes, Turley should not just say ‘that terrible riot” because it just implicates one group. When in fact the instigators were to a large degree law enforcement, et.al.

    2. I agree because I watched the entire fiasco take place in television live. People were visiting and some even singing. Then there was a skirmish at the top of the steps with a single guy trying to break windows and Trump supporters tried to stop him and he began going at the supporters and threatening them—it was at that time that many of us knew this guy truly was not a Trump supporter! It went downhill from there.

  2. Raskin is their best weapon to attempt to derail this committee.
However he doesn’t have much to work with.

The prior J6 committee was a sham and in their zeal to get a narrative out… this committee has two goals.
    1) to get to the truth.
    2) to show the sham hearing for what it was.

This is where the citizen journalists need to step up and get the word out.

  3. “The new J6 Committee has started its hearings and, unlike the prior Committee, Republicans have allowed Democrats to select members to sit in opposition. ”

The difference being that there were no Democrats in contact with the President while he waited for the riot to succeed and for V.P. Pence to be driven from the building. The previous committee wanted to isolate the Republicans cooperating with Trump on Jan 6th by placing them in charge of the direction of the committee. This time those same people will be in charge of the direction of the committee and will use that to stop any move from the Democrats, participating or not, from influencing the White-washing that will take place this time.

Imagine every legal proceeding where the defendants get to select themselves for the jury. This time the defendants are the judge and the jury and the prosecution.

I wonder what the conclusion will be.

Prediction: Knowing that Trump had assembled a mob to go loot the Capitol and stop the democratic process in order to insert false slates of electors, Nancy Pelosi was solely responsible for letting them bash windows and physically attack Capitol police. Typical woman, the Trump supporters will claim, allowing rape and murder rather than fighting back and shutting down that sort of thing.

    1. You’re delusional. For example Nancy Pelosi wasn’t “solely responsible” as you stated sarcastically. However, she bears real responsibility because she repeatedly rejected President Trump’s offer of additional National Guard for security.

The FACT that nearly 250 “protesters” were undercover FBI will be officially disclosed.

Hopefully a more honest portrayal of the unarmed female Air Force veteran who was killed by Capitol Hill Police will come out.

And lastly the FACT will be published that NOBODY was actually charged with insurrection. That has been deliberately ignored by the LSM.

  4. “Raskin shouted, ‘Do you accept seditious conspiracy as insurrection?’”

Do you accept shoplifting as murder? After all, they’re both crimes.

Help us out here. Our goals are noble: to “get Trump” and to sate the D’s lust for power. Doesn’t that justify using legal concepts to mean whatever we wish them to mean?

  5. J 6’ers Included Many Real Criminals

22.2% of all defendants on Jan. 6, 2021, had a prior criminal record. Some individuals stand out for their violent crimes. Edward Richmond Jr. was dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Army and convicted of manslaughter after being convicted of shooting a “handcuffed Iraqi cow herder in the head with his rifle.” Theodore Middendorf was charged and sentenced in 2018 for the criminal sexual assault of a child in which he pled guilty. Some of these offenders, despite these horrendous actions before and after Jan. 6, walk free from Trump’s blanket pardon. Benjamin Martin had several sentences for battery against his 14-year-old daughter and his girlfriend and was “on supervision” for these convictions during Jan. 6. During the police search warrant on his property, the FBI found an AR-15-style rifle and “more than 500 rounds of ammunitions,” which was prohibited because of his prior convictions.

    ………………………………………..

Nothing like a riot to bring out the worst. That was true in the George Floyd Riots and true on January 6th. 33 of those Trump pardoned have been rearrested on new criminal charges.

    1. So what, we have just seen the Democrats appoint a convicted murder to the police board. He couldn’t even ride along to review the police because of his conviction. Do you think people that have served their sentence are on longer allowed to have a political opinion? I bet you would be surprised to see the number of convicted felons in any group, including a church group,. You have no point, other than your own hypocrisy.

Kyle Hedquist, a convicted murderer, was reappointed to the Salem, Oregon Community Police Review Board by the city council, which includes Democratic members. His appointment has sparked controversy and backlash from public safety unions and community members due to his criminal history.
Hedquist was convicted of murdering Roseburg teen Nikki Thrasher in 1995. Hedquist, then 18, said he feared Thrasher would report him to police for hiding stolen items at her home. He served about 28 years in prison before then-Gov. Kate Brown commuted his sentence for his rehabilitation and good behavior.

History made of, or mixed with, myths.

    2. ATS
Trumps pardon is not a blanket pardon. It is only for conduct on J6

Trump did not and can not pardon anyone for state crimes and did not pardon anyone for offenses unrelated to J6

Of the 2000+ people DOJ was hinting down for J6 offenses
I would expect some of them would subseuently be charged with other offenses.

I beleive that 2.5% of the US population is in prison at any given time.
That alone would lead to 50+ J6ers being in prison right now.

      Your engaging in numerical fallacies.

      1. Your engaging in numerical fallacies.

There’s a book that more accurately describes that: “How To Lie With Statistics”.

The Orlando Sentinal and that writer have had years to develop similar outrage and produce similar content covering the riots on Trump’s initial election day. Or about the J1 riot seven months earlier. Or analyze Obama’s pardons for how many committed new criminal acts.

I won’t bother searching their archives, because there will be nothing to find. Just as we’re extremely unlikely to see this commentator reappear to defend what is almost certainly another Democrat Daily Dump And Disappear.

      2. Trumps -> Trump’s
        hinting -> hunting
        subseuently -> subsequently
        beleive -> believe
        Your -> Youre

Clearly John Say peaked at the 4th grade. Possibly because that is the best the FSB can get due to limited supply.

    3. “. . . had a prior criminal record.”

Funny how that’s relevant now, but not to your “sanctuary cities.”

    4. And unlike D/Left and out of control AG’s, we will not stop or interfere with LEO and be glad if found guilty and punished – reference the illegal acquitted for driving his car into ICE vehicle. I recommend you come up with better what-abouts.

    5. Deep state actors. The most violent offender voted for Obama twice and never voted for Trump who is also a POS.

  6. “Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new semiconductor manufacturing plant in her upstate New York district. But in posting a celebratory photo, she omitted the fact that she both denounced and voted against the funding that made the new plant possible.”

Why do Republicans lie so much? I guess because trump can’t let a day go by with a thousand lies, all the trump sycophants have to lie?
    Disgusting piece of sh–.

    1. I have no idea what you are talking about – nor do I suspect that you do.

There is no reason that Government funding is necescary for ANY semiconductor plant anywhere.

Presumably you are talking about Biden’s Chips act – the amount of money involved compared to the trillions of dollars invested in Semiconductor fabs is nothing.

Semiconductors have been moving to the US long before the Chips act TSMC the Tiawanese company that is the largest semiconductor company in the world, Has been building a Fab in AZ for years,. It has had massive cost overruns, the CEO of TSMC has decried all the red tape he has had to endure and the delays it has caused, he has publicly said the whole plant would have been built years ago if he had started it in Taiwan
BUT he has reiterated his commitment to complete it and to expand US semiconductor production.

Trump has gotten $16T in foreign investment in the US. While I have issues involving Government in lobbying for foreign investment – there are so many opportunities for problems, this is STILL a billion times better than NY government funding.

      Let the Free market work.

But for its quasi socialist Government – whose days may be numbered, NY is a fantastic location for a semi conductor plant.
It is on Multiple massive Transportation corridors, it has an abundance of fresh water and an abundance of power.

Kevin OLeary has said that he yanked Billions in funding for NY projects because of the threat possed by NY government,
in almost all other ways NY is a prime location for all kinds of Tech Investment.

      1. John Say, Kevin OLeary said that plant ended up in Norway. Lefty socialist Norway had less obstacles in setting up a business than New York.

        1. The socalled “Nordic Social Democracies” are NOT socialist. They are very free market.
What they are is governments with a broad social safetynet and very high taxes to pay for it.
This has resulted in lower standards of living and pathetic growth.

They have been working since the 80s to correct that – but it is virtually impossible to get rid of a social safetynet program once it is in place.

Regardless they have been chipping away at them as well as taking a number of other steps to reduce their cost.
These are suboptimal, but in many cases have worked better than in the US.

Conversely the US is uniue in the world in that we have a huge populatiojn with a very high standard of living.

A few small countries – all very homogeneous – everyone with the same race, religion and even tribe dating back milenia have managed to do better.
But no large diverse country has.

US social programs are “luxury goods” – they are what a society with a high standard of living can afford.
The left makes claims about all the rest of the world has X but that is almost entirely only on paper.
Medical care in much of the world is either minimal or private or both. It is also cheap because it is minimal and private regardless of what the law in that country might say.
But then it only takes minimal medical care to get a life expectancy in the late 70’s

The US also has massive amounts of waste – some of that is the result of these programs being luxury goods.
Some is intentional. Some if fraud. There is fraud and graft all over the world. Often far more crass and bold than in the US. Here we put a patina of legitimacy on it and then funnel massive amounts of money into it.

With the Fraud in MN as an example – there are typically real day cares, with Real offices, and real employees.
But there are not real children enrolled – atleast not many.
Elsewhere in the world The money would go much more directly from corrupt politicians to fraudsters
there would not be a patina of legitimacy.

Sweden as an example has a public education system and a private one. The govenrment pays for both.
Parents are free to choose where they send their kids. 50% of students are enrolled in private schools.
The overall cost of the public and private systems are comparable and the uality of the education is good
          Because they compete.

          1. Norway’s national debt stood at approximately 206.59 billion USD in 2024, equivalent to 42.72% of GDP and 37,074 USD per capita.

    2. Why do internet trolls lie so much online?

Internet trolls often lie and exaggerate to provoke reactions and disrupt conversations, as they derive pleasure from causing distress in others. Research links trolling behavior to traits like sadism and narcissism, where trolls enjoy the chaos and attention they create online.

Internet Trolls Are Narcissists, Psychopaths, and Sadists
Trolls will lie, exaggerate, and offend to get a response. – psychologytoday

I don’t get mad, you are laughable.

  7. Jan 6 was a riot and it was not insurrection.

    Successful Foreign Insurrections

These events successfully dismantled or replaced existing state power through organized force:

Haitian Revolution (1791–1804): Frequently cited as the most successful slave insurrection in history, it was a sustained armed struggle by self-liberated enslaved people who defeated Napoleon’s forces to found the independent nation of Haiti.
Roman Revolution (510–509 BC): A republican insurrection that overthrew the Roman monarchy, replacing kings with the Roman Republic.
Athenian Revolution (508–507 BC): A popular uprising that overthrew the aristocratic oligarchy and the tyrant Hippias, leading to the establishment of the world’s first democracy.
Cuban Revolution (1953–1959): An organized guerrilla campaign led by Fidel Castro that successfully overthrew the U.S.-backed government of Fulgencio Batista.

    Failed Foreign Insurrections

These were serious, armed, and organized efforts that were ultimately suppressed by the state:

Hungarian Revolution (1956): A briefly successful national uprising against the Soviet-backed government that was crushed by Soviet military intervention after intense urban combat.
Third Servile War (73–71 BC): Led by the gladiator Spartacus, this was a major slave rebellion that organized a large, well-trained army that defeated several Roman legions before being defeated by Crassus.
Jacobite Rebellion (1745–1746): A serious armed challenge to the British throne by followers of the House of Stuart, which was decisively ended at the Battle of Culloden.
Sepoy Mutiny / First Indian War of Independence (1857): A massive, armed military rebellion by Indian soldiers against the British East India Company that resulted in the formal establishment of the British Raj.

    1. What was the purpose of the riot?
Why were they yelling for Mike Pence to be hung?
Why did they intervene int he accepting of electoral college votes?

      1. Congress does not Accept EC votes, if Chooses to review, and certify them and then count them.
Congress is free to reject EC votes and to certify alternates.
It has only done so rarely, but it has actually done so – most recently in 1960.

Further in my lifetime every election won by a republican has had the EC votes of some state challenged by democrats.
Success is rare but it is the actual constitutional process.

The constitution says nothing about Only democrats can challenge EC votes.

    1. CC – those of you on the left despise McConnell.
You might hate him more than Trump.
He is certainly no fan of Trump.

Regardless why do you buy him now ?

      1. It’s not a matter of “buy him now”. He is a disgusting human being, has been for a very long time. But even disgusting people occasionally tell the truth.

        1. “But even disgusting people occasionally tell the truth.”

That is correct, but how do we tell if he is telling the truth ?

Where there is significant disagreement on an issue
Facts, logic and the law should be critical criteria.
But we also give some weight to the reputation of those speaking – particularly when we are unsure of the facts, logic and the law.

Should we magically trust those we hate when they says something we like ?

If YOU evaluate the facts, law and logic differently based on whose oxe gets gored, YOU are untrustworthy.
If YOU choose to beleive people only when they say things that you like, YOU are untrustworthy.

          1. McConnell helped us dodge a bullet when he torpedod Merrit Garland from being a Supreme Court justice. Thank god he had a moral compass then.

            1. There are things McConnell has done that are good.
That does not make him a good person with a moral compass.

He is an extremely capable politician.

Given that all too often we have binary choices in congress, it is far more common for me to pick the same lessor of two evil choices that he does.
But there is very little that we actually share in common – beyond opposition to the left.

The enemy of my enemy is not my friend, but often they are a useful ally.

            2. Independent Bob says: McConnell helped us dodge a bullet when he torpedod Merrit Garland from being a Supreme Court justice.

McConnell didn’t help us by following the precedent set by Senate Leaders before him by refusing to give Garland a hearing. If that was his best effort, he did it by simply following the precedent set by Senate Leaders over centuries of not giving a hearing to the candidates put forward by a lame duck president prior to the election when that opposition party controlled the Senate.

The Democrat Senate Leader during Bush’s last year when he nominated four superior court judges left those nominees dangling without a hearing for much longer. And once Obama was inaugurated, he made four nominations that the Democrat Senate then put in office.

You could argue we should thank him for resisting any urges to commit more treachery by breaking precedent and giving Garland a hearing; that could be true.

    2. Concerned Citizen says: Professor Turley and others should consider the following J6 views of Senator McConnell:

Given McConnell’s sleazy record – including long before Trump entered politics, never mind after he thought Trump was permanently gone – persuade us why you believe that McConnell’s view on insurrection should be given any credibility. Convince us while we remember McConnell during other events:

McConnell never once said that Obama/Biden with their fictional and felonious “Trump-Russia Dossier” was even criminal – much less insurrection.
McConnell didn’t call the rioters storming into HIS Senate to prevent Senators completing their vote to confirm Kavanaugh to SCOTUS insurrection.
McConnell didn’t call the J1 assault on the White House, prior to J6, an “insurrection”.
McConnell didn’t call the Summer of Mostly Peaceful Protest, with entire city blocks occupied by force of “assault weapons” arms an insurrection.

You remember those events just as we do. So tell us why we should agree with you and McConnell with his record that this three day riot was actually an insurrection.

      Waiting…

  8. In the movie Forrest Gump, the man who told him how to play ping pong was to keep the eye on the ball. That is the objective here. First, there is a possible 9 Billion dollar international theft ring nestled in Minnesota that involves extensive money laundering and fraud (and possible funding of terrorist organizations). At the very least, there are politicians who looked the other way and it is possible they are on the take. So, there is that. The loudmouth media can stir up a stink, but the Treasury Department, IRS, FBI are certainly laser focused on this investigation.

Regarding the Federal officers who have been sent to the area to remove by priority, those illegals who are known criminals. It is a simple matter of them letting the federal officers of the law to come to the jails and prisons to execute there deportation orders. But, alas, the “sanctuary” policies prohibit cooperation and so the officers of the law must find the criminals where they are. If there is someone else found with the known criminals, they it is implicit to examine their immigration status.

When the arrogant mayor tells a federal agency to get the “F” out of his city, he is delusional. If he and the clueless governor incite riots, then they risk insurrection. It would be a good idea for them to call in some chips from their Somali crime rings to help pay their legal bills. They are going to need to lawyer up.

Speaking of which, this reminds me of a quote in the book, “The Godfather.” However, this could be changed to say about politicians.

“One lawyer with a briefcase can steal more than a hundred men with guns …”

    ― Mario Puzo

    1. “9 Billion dollar international theft ring”

Wow, drink much koolaide? Where do you get your news? From a right wing YouTube blogger that is looking for likes?

      1. ATS – credible reports – even surfacing on the MSM are saying ATLEAST $9B in fraud.
This is coming from over 1000 whistle blower reports, as well as building on prior successful prosecutions.

While at THIS moment MN is the epicenter of this fraud investigation, CA, IL, MA, ME, and OH appear to have similar problems.
Many are noting – this fraud is likely to be found in EVERY state – though there will be larger scale fraud in some places than others.

        1. John Say, back in 2024 the top four democrats were attending the democrat national convention to anoint Kamala. While they were there there state auditor for the state of Massachusetts announced that she was going to start an audit of the state government. Gal in the state treasurer was immediately dispatched back to stop the audit. This woman( the state auditor) has had to face numerous road blocks over the past 2 years to stop her from doing her job. And guess what, she’s a democrat. God bless her heart.

          1. A signifint portion of the fraud found and even prosecuted in MN has been found and prosecuted by democrats – even the Biden administration.

That BTW is one of the reasons that most people think we have only see the tip of the ICEberg.

The scale of this is enormous – potentially 50% of the federal benefits going to MN

Those people – mostly democrats who fought valiantly to bring this to light deserve high praise.

Those who were burying it – all democrats should be tossed out on their ears.

I doubt we will get a smoking gun to criminally convict lots of MN politicians – like Walz.
But at the very least they were massively poor stewards of public funds and should NEVER hold office again.

            1. John
I believe that in governance there is the fiduciary responsibility of the Governor to assure that all taxpayers dollars are spent legitimately. With the reported fraud and whistleblower reports, what we’re seeing in Minnesota is negligence of the highest order or worse, complicity. In parallel to the private sector, Walz is the CEO of the company with his underlings as his COO, CFO, attorney etc. If this were the private sector he would be charged and jailed or sued in civil court for restitution and fired. Inexcusable and for the Somalians participating, every one of them should lose citizenship and be deported after finishing their prison sentences.

          1. MN is the early big juicy target for investigation, it probably has the largest fraud and the most well developed investigations.

But by the time we are done this is likely going to tough EVERY state.

I was not aware of problems in WA – But IL, CA, ME, MA, and OH are definitely on the list.
OH instituted a program where family members could be payed to provide care for people who would otherwise be institutionalized.

This sounds like – and probably is a good idea.

But it has proven a HUGE vehicle for fraud.

This is one of the problems with Government involvement in the real economy.

We often get two choices – Government can pay private actors to provide services – resulting often in massive fraud
Or government can provide those services itself – resulting in massive waste and inefficincy – and some fraud.

The best solution is to get govenrment out of it.
Government is a piss poor steward of resources.
People always manage their own money far better than govenrment
Even people with absymal financial skills do better than government

      2. Wow, drink much koolaide? Where do you get your news? From a right wing YouTube blogger that is looking for likes?

You should at least thank Trump for making it less expensive for you to buy fuel to ply your hobby here.

        Gaslighting
Gaslighting is the intended psychological manipulation by a low-IQ perpetrator targeting those they hope to victimize through intentionally misleading that person or group. This involves the perpetrator trivializing, lying, denying events, and other methods used in the hope their intended victims doubt their perceptions of reality, memories, and feel overly emotional or irrational.

The main five methods of gaslighting that may be used alone or in conjunction with others are: trivializing, countering, lying, blame shifting, and withholding.

      3. u livin in denial bro. U got no news because you won’t look.
        CCP trolls unemployment rate increasing.

    1. We should hold a referendum to ask Americans if they want to give ICE permission to club any person who assaults them into the ground prior to arresting and prosecuting every single one of them.

You know, pour encouragez les autres, Admiral Byng style.

    2. We have – it is called federal law and the US budget.
      We voted for Congress.
Congress democrats and Republicans alike voted for and passed the laws that ICE enforces,
And the congress we elected passed a budget that includes ICE.

  9. Conservatives were against abuses of power when Waco, Texas and Ruby Ridge happened.
Now they are all for abuses of power.

    1. Correct. At Ruby Ridge an FBI agent without a warant on private property murdered the innocent family of a man that Thje FBI did not indict, have a warrant for or immediately witness committing a crime and who did not Threaten an FBI agent or anyone else with a %00lb SUV or aany other deadly weapon until AFTER they started killing his family.

At Wacco again – initially the ATF and later the FBI staged a violent assault on people on Private property over minor criminal allegations regarding one person. There was again no immediate threat of violence ot death to anyone prior to the STF and later FBI opening fire.

If you are going to engage in Whataboutism you should atleast compare apples to apples.

All you are succeeding in doing is proving that the left judges the justification of deadly force bases SOLELY on the politics of those involved NOT the FACTS and law.

        1. What are you talking about – there were no ICE agents at Ruby Ridge or Wacco.

Regardless if LEO’s did not enforce the law, there would be no conflicts between LEOs and others.

But there would be far more crime.

ICE has arrested more than 1000 illegal alienes in Minneapolis. Most of whom were criminals.
Many of whom were sex offenders and violent criminals.

Many people will be alive and even more not scarred for life because of these arrests.

Absolutely if ICE was not there – some bad things would not happen.
But many other bad things wood.

Your argument against ICE is true of all law enforcement and equally bad.

  10. Do civilians ever have a right to defend themselves from law enforcement officers, or will civilians always be framed as the bad guys for doing so?

    1. What if Rodney King or George Floyd attempted to attack the officers who were brutalizing them, so as to stop the brutalization? Would they have been justified?

      1. No one “brutalized” George Floyd. He was arrested for passing a really bad counterfeit $20.
He was high and totally out of control. He destroyed the rear of the Police vehicle that he was placed in.
Where he ate his stash and that of his drug dealer. The officers for his safety and at his request
removed him from the vehicle and restrained him while awaiting transport. They also called EMS long before and EMS that was 3 blocks away went to the wrong place and took 20 minutes to arrive.
Floyd died with 3 times the lethal levels of multiple drugs in his body of a heart attack – due to drug overdoses and priod heat disease caused by the hard living of a Drug addict. His blood oxygen levels were NORMAL – there was no evidence of suffocation in anyway, and it was not possible to suffocate him based on the video.
A white Police officer with his knee on the back of a black man may be a disturbing image, but that is all it is.

Conversely had Rodney King been able to – he would have been justified in killing the officers who were beating him.

All deaths and injuries at the hands of police are not justified – but the vast majority are.

The law is imposed by FORCE – that is the entire justification for the existance of government.
If you do not wish to face lethal force – obey the law.
If you do not like the law – work to change it.

Do not blame Law Enforcement for the laws you do not like.
It is their job to enforce those laws regardless.

You want to change them – take that up with the legislature.

    2. There are circumstances in which a person can defend themselves against a police officer,
But where it is clear that one person IS a police officer, those circumstances are rare.

  11. Some guy just bullied his way to have someone give their Nobel Peace Prize.

What kind of imbecile would do that?

    1. Some guy just bullied his way to have someone give their Nobel Peace Prize. What kind of imbecile would do that?

What kind of Biden Tranny Furry would believe that Trump is a fellow Tranny, bullying a woman to give him her Nobel Prize rather than demanding she allow him into her change room to put his Furry tiny nads on display?

Your move, Bolshevik Biden Birthing Boy…

    1. Millions of gun owners with guns versus 20,000 ICE agents…THAT would be an insurrection.

That’s a fairy tale or crack pipe dream.

First, Democrats loath both guns and gun owners… they’re not likely to be gun owners.
Second, many of these rioters are criminals, mentally ill, etc. and therefore disqualified like The Crackhead Kid from possessing firearms.
Third, the criminal Illegal Aliens are often already armed… how’s that worked out for them so far.
Fourth, most gun owners support police arresting and removing the Democrats’ criminal Illegal Alien guest Democrat voters.

This gun owner insurrection versus ICE is going to have as many members as those who had guns during the “J6 Insurrection”.

    1. Isn’t he a criminal who, “In 2017, Shkreli was convicted in federal court on two counts of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy. He was sentenced to seven years in prison and up to $7.4 million in fines. In the civil antitrust case, Shkreli was fined a further $64.6 million to be repaid to victims. In May 2022, he was released early from the low-security federal prison in Allenwood, Pennsylvania. He is permanently banned from serving as an officer of any publicly traded company.”

    2. Shkreli is not an example of free market capitalism.
He is an example of government rent seeking.

If you actually read the Wikipedia article,
Shkerli was successful at short selling – which is an incredibly important indicator of the over or undervaluation of specific stocks.

WE WANT people to profit by providing the analysis that the value of something is incorrect.
Had we had proper MARKET oversight of the housing and mortgage market – rather than government oversight the housing bubble would not have happened.
Someone would have started short selling MBS’s exposing their overvaluation much earlier.

With respect to drugs – Shkreli raised prices – bringing other supplies to the market with cheaper products.

That is a good thing not a bad one.

What is bad is when government makes it impossible for competing drugs o get to the market.

  12. Trump Pardons Fraudster For Second Time

In 2021, a convicted fraudster named Adriana Camberos was freed from prison when President Trump commuted her sentence.

Rather than taking advantage of that second chance, prosecutors said, Ms. Camberos returned to crime. She and her brother were convicted in 2024 in an unrelated fraud.

This week, Mr. Trump pardoned both siblings, marking the second time Mr. Trump had opened the prison gates for Ms. Camberos.

Their pardons were among a handful of clemency grants quietly issued by Mr. Trump this week.

    From Today’s New York Times
    ……………………………………..

Trump keeps pardoning fraudsters because he feels an odd kinship. And frauds can foster that kinship with donations to Trump approved entities.

    1. @Anonymous

Really. You guys are at the same level of seriousness as Morton Downey Jr. and his ‘Nazis’. The entire modern left is. It’s actually amusing.

    2. Trump keeps pardoning fraudsters because he feels an odd kinship. And frauds can foster that kinship with donations to Trump approved entities.

Now blow us out of the water with your analysis (with the help of the New York Times) of Bribery Biden pardoning every living person in his immediate and extended party?

You know: the ones who got ChiCom donations through The First Felon Bagman Kid for doing nothing other than being a Biden with an LLC.

After that, we can have a really fun conversation about who let who go free.

Your move, Tovarisch… go ahead and blow us out of the water.

    3. Maybe there is something here to be upset about – But the Biden DOJ has convicted so many paople fraudulently that you need much more than a claim of conviction to get anyone to buy your claim.
