“It’s Going to Get Really Serious”: Liberal Influencers Discuss Public Trials and Court Expansion After Democratic Takeover

Former CNN correspondent Jim Acosta spoke with popular podcaster Jennifer Welch, discussing the plans for radical changes after a Democratic takeover this year. Like many Democratic figures, they said that the expansion of the Supreme Court is obvious. The expansion is essential to clear away any restraints on a radical agenda that will include the trial of a host of conservatives, from Trump to the young former DOGE employee who was injured when he came to the rescue of a woman in a carjacking in Washington, D.C.

What was most notable in the interview was the priority of expanding the Supreme Court. Figures like Eric Holder have expressly stated that packing the Supreme Court with a liberal majority will be the priority after any Democratic takeover.

This has long been the plan among far-left figures, but it is now being embraced by establishment figures as essential to securing a radical agenda to achieve lasting power.

Years ago, Harvard professor Michael Klarman laid out a radical agenda to change the system to guarantee Republicans “will never win another election.” However, he warned that “the Supreme Court could strike down everything I just described.” Therefore, the court must be packed in advance to allow these changes to occur.

Recently, Democratic strategist James Carville laid out the step-by-step process of how the pack-to-power plan would work.

“I’m going to tell you what’s going to happen,” he said. “A Democrat is going to be elected in 2028. You know that. I know that. The Democratic president is going to announce a special transition advisory committee on the reform of the Supreme Court. They’re going to recommend that the number of Supreme Court justices go from nine to 13. That’s going to happen, people.”

Acosta and Welch, however, added a Jacobin touch by demanding trials for a wide range of conservative figures — a call that has been echoed by Democratic members promising impeachments and investigations.

Welch, who appears to be auditioning for the role of Madame Lafarge, insisted:

“The blue tsunami means that Congress is going to haul Elon Musk, ‘Big Balls,’ and a bunch of other people’s a– in front and say, ‘What crimes did you commit?’ And it’s going to get really serious. And the same with Trump because I believe, and this is just my opinion, that Trump and all of the bottom-feeding morons surrounding him and Elon Musk and all the bottom feeding clinger-onners that surround him, I think they commit crimes every day.”

In my forthcoming book, Rage and the Republic: The Unfinished Story of the American Revolution, I discuss how elected officials often try to enlist mobs to advance their political agendas — only to be consumed by the unrest they helped fuel. This yielding to a “mobocracy” was one of the critical dangers that the Framers sought to deter through protections against majoritarian tyranny.

What is most notable is the warning to establishment figures who are dismissed as “integrity Democrats” who might be squeamish about doing the things that must be done to political opponents. As always, Welch was the face of unrequited rage:

“And I think to reconcile all of this is going to take hardcore — not ‘integrity Democrats – ‘F–k you Democrats’ … ‘F–k you for f–king over our country.’ We are serious about this. We are prosecuting. We’re going to uncover every document, every phone call, everything you did. We will be relentless about it. And that’s the mindset they’ve got to have because I think the electorate is going from, ‘We’ve got to get him out, but also we want accountability.’”

With “integrity Democrats” out of the way, the left will be able to change the system to guarantee not just a radical agenda but permanent power, as explained by Klarman. It is a chilling and ironic prospect on the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Jonathan Turley is a law professor and the author of the forthcoming “Rage and the Republic: The Unfinished Story of the American Revolution,” which will be released on Feb. 3 as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

  1. Yesterday’s Press Conference:

In a room often marked by rapid-fire give and take with reporters, Trump spoke uninterrupted for about 80 minutes. His tone was largely flat as he moved from topic to topic, offering little effort to narrow his focus or explain the implications of his remarks.

“I like the Hell’s Angels. They voted for me. They protected me, actually, believe it or not,” Trump declared at one juncture.

“Your lover’s not going to be killed anymore,” he said, boasting of lowering crime in D.C.

Wondering aloud why most Americans don’t believe that prices have come down, Trump offered an explanation: “Maybe I have bad public relations people.”

On his willingness to deploy National Guard troops into American cities: “To me, a town, it looks better when you have military people — these are big, strong guys”.

The inability of pundits like Turley to acknowledge Trump’s deteriorating mental state is becoming a serious issue. The whole world can see the obvious here. Instead Turley soldiers on, as always, trying to convince us that liberals are the ‘real’ threat’.

    1. The Davos Spectacle

I was watching a live stream of Trump’s speech in Davos today. It was more of that flat-toned, disjointed rambling; this time to an eerily silent audience. When Trump finished, only the American delegation applauded. Trump then sat for a Q & A where his flat-toned, disjointed rambling resumed.

We’re at a point where the whole world is waiting for some high-placed official to say, “This man is nuts”. Then hopefully, the logjam will break. In the meantime, Blue States of America should pleadge support for NATO regardless of what Trump decides.

      1. Biden didn’t know what day it was. He called the U.S.- Amerigotit! His uncle was eaten by a cannibal!

ANON is off of his/hers medications again!!!

      2. “. . . Blue States of America should pleadge [sic] . . .”

According to the Left, blue states should control immigration and bar Federal law enforcement. And now they should conduct their own foreign policy.

Which party is shredding the Constitution?

      3. Trump want to DAVOS to tell the global elites they have been owned. They no longer matter.

Hopefully that continues to prove true.
Regardless it is not a message they wanted to hear.

Absolutely Trump has few friends amount European world leaders.
That is irrelevant. The world is not a unitarian church committee.

Those with actual power make the rules, and power comes from success, not schmoozing.

The world is listening when america speaks.

That will continue so long as our actions bring about success.

I would separately notes the DAVOS crowd is actually deparate to listen to an understand Trump.

Why ? Because they have their own Rising MAGA like threats to their power in their own country.

    2. “. . . Trump’s deteriorating mental state . . .”

Now the Left is concerned about a president’s mental health?

    3. People who are cognitively impaired can not speak for 80 minutes straight.

Saying things you do not like is not dementia.

If you want an exmple of mental health problems – read your own post.

    4. “. . . boasting of lowering crime in D.C.”

Not a boast if you can back it up.

Since the NG surge, D.C. murder’s are down some 40%.

    1. Trump is a wind farm. – From Anonymous at January 21, 2026 at 9:03 PM
Thank you for participating JT’s free speech contest.
You won the TDS award. Congratulations!

  2. ICE agents are being told they can enter homes without a judge’s warrant. It is unconstitutional. Violating the Constitution in such a brazen way is just cause to shoot them.

    1. “. . . just cause to shoot them.”

Just when you think that Left can’t sink any lower — it calls for the murder of Federal law enforcement officers.

      (I hope you’re using multiple VPN’s.)

    2. “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

The word “judge” does not appear in the text of the 4th amendment.

ICE uses Warrants – those warrants meet ALL the requirements of the 4th amendment – they are sworn – if the officer swearing out the warrant has lied – that is a serious crime. Th warrant provides evidence meeting the probable cause standard that the person ICE is seeking is not in the US legally. The warrant specifies the person to be detained. The warrant is to search the property for the illegal alien – ICE has a search warrant for a PERSON not evidence of a crime. They are not free to search peoples underwear drawers. They are not free to search from anything beyond the illegal alien to be detained, as well as anything that is an immediate threat to their safety.

Because they have a sworn warrant seeking to detain a specific person – they ARE allowed to demand ID from anyone present.
And like ALL law enforcement if they find others violating the law without going outside the scope of their warrant they are free to detain those too.

Like all law enforcement they are always free to immediately arrest without a warrant anyone they directly observe committing a crime.

Whether you like it or not they are operating under the same constitutional, and legal constraints as other law enforcement.

You are free to change the law to require a Judicial warrant – but even then – what do you mean ?
Are you going to require the warrant to be signed off by an article II magistrate, an Article II magistrate, and article III magistrate, an article III judge ?

While 70+% of those being detained by ICE are criminals – these are NOT criminal warrants. Those being detained and deported are NOT being tried in a criminal court, they are not having any rights infringed on or violated. They have no right to be in the US, they are ultimately being sent HOME.

Hoe much “due process” are you entitled to when an officer pulls you to the side of the road, detains you for half an hour and then sends you home ?

Do traffic cops need warrants from magistrate judges to pull you over and detain you ?

Entering the US without permission or a right to is a crime, but it is not a serious crime – it is slightly more than a traffic violation.
The primary punishment is that you will never be allowed legal entry into the US in the future.

MOST deportees are NOT criminal prosecuted fro violating immigration laws. They are deported and they remain free to seek legal entry to the US in the future.

Why ? Because very little due process is required if no crimes are being prosecuted.

      1. John, when the constitution says “warrant” it clearly means one issued by a judge, not by the same executive that is executing it. Administrative “warrants” such as ICE typically has are NOT warrants within the meaning of the fourth amendment. So they can’t be used to enter private property without the owner’s permission. They’re still good for arresting the people named, if they are found on public property, or on private property where the owner has given the agents permission to enter.

And of course ICE agents, like all policemen, don’t need a warrant of any kind to arrest someone for a crime they have witnessed, or if they have probable cause to believe the person has committed a felony.

    3. ICE agents are being told they can enter homes without a judge’s warrant.

No, they are NOT being told that, and they are not doing that.

But even if they were, it would not be cause to shoot them; it would be cause to sue them, that’s all.

  3. ICE agents are acting like Redcoats toward American civilians and the Constitution lovers are ok with this. What a farce.

    1. Dear Troll ‘Anon.’ ‘ICS agents are acting like Redcoats..’ NO BODY cares about..or believe your FICTIONAL FAKE NEWS.. ICE agents are not doing anything different than they did under President Obama, who gave Tom Homan a Medal for his work! They are finding Undocumented / Illegally crossed aliens.. They are NOT going after American civilians…. so the only ‘farce’ here is yours.

      1. What about Renee Good?
Jonathan Ross had the free will NOT to shoot her.
It was an option he had.
No one put a gun to his head and forced him to shoot her in the head.

        1. “Jonathan Ross had the free will . . .”

According to the Left, a criminal is never responsible; a police officer always is.

And now if you cue Soros, you get the Left’s endgame: Abject fear throughout the country and chaos in the streets — complete anarchy as a pretext to seize total control. (The insane Covid restrictions, diktats, shutdowns, and lockdowns were merely a trial balloon.)

        2. What about her. You care as much about her as young lady murdered on Jan 6th… O-that’s right, she deserved it (remember)

        3. Every single police officer in the US has the “free will” to not enforce the law.
If they choose not to – we have anarchy,

          Government is FORCE. ALWAYS.

Do not make laws you are not willing to have law enforcement Kill over.

      2. Under Obama, when did ICE hover a military helicopter over an apartment building so ICE goons could rappel to the roof and kick in every single door and evict all the American citizens and leave their property unguarded and subsequently damaged or stolen?

Seems like Fuax Noose would have reported that story continuously for weeks.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7wXXnElpb0

        https://www.npr.org/2025/10/24/nx-s1-5570113/chicago-south-shore-building-residents-recount-humiliating-ice-raid

        1. LOL… They are doing what the law allows.
Remember when Chicago police dropped a bomb from a helo to push out gangs in a apartment bld.
You fools have such short memory…

        2. This was not ICE, it was the Border Patrol. And if they had probable cause to believe there were gang members in the building (as indeed there were) they very likely had a warrant from a judge to raid it. If they decided a helicopter was the most convenient way to achieve their objective there’s no law that says they can’t use one.

    2. Illegal Aliens are not “American Civilians”.

ICE is not executing warrants on citizens.
It can not arrest US citizens unless they violate federal law in their presence.

If you are a US citizen and you are protesting ICE and you do NOT obstruct them – ramming agents, ramming their vehicles, blocking streets, pushing and shoving agents blocking their paths, trying to take their weapons, throwing things at them

Then they can not arrest you.

Yes, I am 100% OK with ICE deporting illegal aliens and arresting US citizens who violate federal laws.

      1. It can not arrest US citizens unless they violate federal law in their presence.

Or they have probable cause to believe they have committed a felony, even outside their presence.

  4. In order to pack the court by increasing the number of justices, dems must have 60 senate seats to defeat the filibuster. This is highly unlikely even if the dems have the president, the house and 59 senate seats. they could try to change the filibuster rule which only requires a majority, but that would be about as stupid as waiving the filibuster rule for the approval of supreme court justices which got them where they are today. But the stupidity does run deep. All will be reversed when the momentum changes again. Also just who is going to be the democratic candidate for president in 2028? Kamala – can’t win, Newsome can only win in CA, NY and Minn. I guess they will try Mamdani or Ilhan Omar?

    1. Their plan is to nuke the filibuster, and then use the power that gives them to make sure they never lose another election, so they won’t have to worry about the momentum changing again, or about them being a senate minority again. If they expand the court and pack it with their partisans, and admit several new states that they control, they can do anything they like. They can make elections irrelevant. They can remove all the judges who aren’t their people. They can nullify the entire bill of rights, not by amendment but by passing laws that flout it, and having their pet judges rubberstamp it. And the only answer we would be able to give would be the 2nd amendment. Which they will try to nullify by confiscating all the weapons, but that won’t work, it will only be the trigger for the war.

      1. . I wonder if the dems will succeed in their quest as follows: genocide of white Christians and Jewish people. Maybe…dreams of Barack’s father.

      2. After writing this piece, Mr. Turley, do you support or oppose removing the filibuster now while Republicans still have the majority?

        1. I don’t know what Prof Turley thinks, but I still oppose it, because I do NOT believe this is the Democrat Party’s plan. There are certainly many WITHIN that party who have this plan, but I don’t believe the leadership agrees with them.

The last time around, I believe Schumer made sure there would be enough votes against it to defeat it. If Manchin and Synema had not been there to oppose it, other Democrats would have been found. And if they ever take over again, I think there’s at least a good chance that the same thing would happen. They’d make a show of trying to nuke the filibuster, but there would be just enough dissenters to defeat it.

  5. Covid-19 killed more than 1 million Americans. We could have, and should have, done everything that was recommended to prevent it from spreading. Receiving the recommended series of vaccines by all would have saved countless lives. We are a rebellious and stiff-necked people.

The next round will spread further and be more deadly and we have learned nothing from this little blip. The next wave will be a tsunami like nothing before. We had our chance.

    1. That is such utter and obvious bullschiff. Your side has now ADMITTED that none of the recommendations had any scientific basis, and that the vaccine was not even designed to prevent infection. Receiving the recommended series of vaccines by all would probably have killed more people than it would have saved.

      1. The vaccines prevented untold number of deaths. The vaccine prevented the full damaging impact of this little beast. Herd inoculation without the same level of danger presented by the virus. The vaccines saved millions.

“Your side has now ADMITTED that none of the recommendations had any scientific basis…” Quote my side justifying that filthy lie. You will not. You can not. You’ll disappear and come back with another name.

        1. Another name?! YOU’RE the one posting as “anonymous”, which means you accept responsibility for ALL the anonymous comments in this forum. I have been posting under the same name for decades.

And yes, your side admitted that none of the recommendations had any scientific basis. Fauci openly said this in his congressional testimony. And the head of one of the pharma companies that developed the vaccine testified that it was never intended to prevent infection, and therefore was never tested to see whether it would do so. Therefore the entire concept of herd immunity is irrelevant; herd immunity is impossible if the vaccine doesn’t stop infection.

I would bet there is NOT ONE PERSON alive today who would be dead if not for the vaccine. In general the Wuhan disease only killed people who didn’t have long left anyway.

    2. Wrong.
Emails show Fauci, Collins plotting to circumvent ‘impressive’ data for COVID natural immunity
“Former FDA adviser said he had meetings with feds on natural immunity as comparable to vaccination, but that they dismissed it for bureaucratic and messaging reasons. CDC official justified vaccine based on absence of evidence.”
      https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/coronavirus/emails-show-fauci-collins-plotting-circumvent-impressive-data-covid

      1. The mRNA vaccines for COVID-19, which have now been administered several billion times, have been heavily scrutinized for safety and have been shown to be extremely safe, said Joseph Wu, MD, PhD, the director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute.

“Your side has now ADMITTED that none of the recommendations had any scientific basis…” Quote my side justifying that filthy lie. You will not. You can not. You’ll disappear and come back with another name.

        YEA. I’LL TRUST YOUR LIES

“The mRNA vaccines have done a tremendous job mitigating the COVID pandemic,” said Wu, the Simon H. Stertzer, MD, Professor and a professor of medicine and of radiology. “Without these vaccines, more people would have gotten sick, more people would have had severe effects and more people would have died.”

  6. Dem priorities: packing Scotus to install a majority of radical left-wing judges; disrupting peaceful worship services; helping child rapists, violent gang members, and murderers evade arrest; biological men invading women’s and girls’ competitive sports, showers, and locker rooms; open borders; suppressing domestic energy production; defund the police; support middle-east terrorist organizations while assaulting Jews trying to get to class; child sexual mutilation under the guise of “gender affirming care”; cultural Marxism. I may add to the list tomorrow.

    1. . Omfk, it’s all about money, theft. If murder happens it’s ok as long as the theft continues. The old saying, they’ll steal the eyes from your head, is literal.

    2. oldmanfromkansas,

The Federalist Society has been packing lower courts with Trojan horse judges for decades. The work very hard to avoid any controversial cases so they cannot be on record over them, but they have a defined mission – to overturn the majority of civil rights gains and return to the 1950s, open racial discrimination, violent discrimination against gay people and, they hope, a return to absolute White Christian male supremacy in all things.

“biological men invading women’s and girls’ competitive sports, showers, and locker rooms”

That would be Donald J. Trump invading the beauty pageant dressing rooms on the excuse he was examining the merchandise.

Odd you mention supressing domestic energy production. Donald J. Trump stopped several energy projects with no plans to replace the expected output. What he has worked on is selling off American oil reserves to foreign nations so that, in the next 100 years, America will be 100% dependent on foreign imports,

Here’s a notion. Getting assaulted by demanding a crowd that is hostile to you disperse from your path like the parting of the Red Sea only works when it’s in a movie.

I suppose you are also against the Jewish practice of genital mutilation of little boys? How about piercing the ears of little girls? Most “gender affirming” surgery is for breast reduction in boys who have developed large breasts and among some young girls whose parents want them to have either smaller waists or bigger breasts.

You should stop adding to the list. It makes it seem like you aren’t aware of how the world actually works.

  7. “We all need to think about balance… Who are we truly supporting when we shop? If you can buy Chanel—a brand rooted in white luxury—you also have the power to uplift Black, Brown, and other communities that have been overlooked.”

    – Moochhell Obongo (paraphrased)
    ________________________________________

Translation from the original Ebongoics: Don’t buy that funky white folk’s trash, buy black.

Oh, and, to be sure, this is not a racist statement because blacks cannot be racist.

    1. In 40 years our world has turned upside down. Back in the day, many of our older folks would have called this a communist takeover. Whatever we call it, it is real. It is perverted. It has a fanatical following and they blame everything on anyone who disagrees with them. They seem eager to engage in armed conflict to rout out dissension and to form a new government based on whatever they feel like doing in the present tense. Their interest in planning, in using sound reasoning, grounding their efforts in mature, sober decision making is anathema. Chaos, anarchy are far superior to everything else. They believe this wholeheartedly. We are in deep, deep trouble.

      1. I have no doubt that our forefathers, the American Founders, ultimately meant to give the country they established to the slaves and their illegal alien invader allies.

        1. Protecting rapists, drug dealers, violent gangs, attacking law enforcement, suppressing others from expressing opposing or just different opinions, is your answer and it is no answer. Running on pure, vicious hatred, and spoiled to death, believing that your motives are as pure as white snow, when you are a terrorist, leads you to be rejected and hated which is self-defeating.

            1. You prove my point. You can’t get it. You could channel your vicious hatred into something positive, but you seem incapable. The only time you appear to be “happy” about anything, is on those occasions when you hope you have harmed someone. Never even a hint of concern for the welfare of others. You are in this for your need to feel superior and to cause pain. Good luck with that.

  8. Even Mainstream Media Fails To Recognize Trump’s Mental State

There has been much written about Trump’s rejection of the symbolic elements of the presidency. He treats his political opponents as mortal enemies and appears to see large parts of the country as occupied territory. He makes no effort to unite the American people and takes every chance he can to divide them along lines of race, religion, ethnicity and ideology. He sees himself less as president of the United States and more as president of ‘his’ United States.

Still, most coverage of Trump treats him as president in a functional way even if he doesn’t perform the civic duties of the office. His letter to the prime minister of Norway suggests that this is a mistake. It shows that he is essentially unable to serve as president of the United States, that he is as temperamentally and psychologically unable to engage with the practical as he is the symbolic, and that he has totally collapsed the distinction between his interests and those of the country, if he even recognized them in the first place.

    …………………………………

Johnathan Turley inhabits a universe where only ‘radical leftists’ threaten our future. Yet Turley has no concerns about Trump’s mental state. As though a crazed, far-right president is something we can work around.

    1. Your ignorant opinions, based on your perverted hated-filled thinking, is of no value. You are not intelligent. You are not educated. You are not cute or insightful. You are nuts, to put it nicely. You are not unique. There’s a whole host of people just as ignorant as you who echo your beliefs. You have no original ideas and no leaders.

      1. Rather that say inane and stupid things, why don’t you post your own brilliant positions, Einstein?

  9. “Supreme Court appears ready to keep Lisa Cook on Federal Reserve board despite Trump efforts to fire her”

    – Fox News
    ______________

Note To Supreme Court: The Federal Reserve Act is as unconstitutional as Roe v. Wade which you reversed in Dobbs; now do your duty and support the Constitution.
    __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Federal Reserve Act Is Unconstitutional

The Constitution establishes a federal government of limited and enumerated powers, reserving all others to the states or the people. Nowhere does it authorize Congress to regulate banking, control credit, manage interest rates, or displace free enterprise in private financial markets. Banking and lending are matters of private contract and state law, not federal sovereignty. The Necessary and Proper Clause permits only laws that carry enumerated powers into execution; it does not create new powers or justify federal takeover of private industries. Congress already exercises its legitimate fiscal authority—taxing, borrowing, spending, and coining money—through the constitutional structure it created, principally the Treasury and the Mint. The Federal Reserve Act does not execute an enumerated power; it creates a new and independent monetary authority over private markets. Because the Constitution grants no such authority, the Federal Reserve Act exceeds Article I and is unconstitutional.

    1. THE FEDERAL RESERVE was created because J.P. Morgan had been functioning as the central bank. And Congress was troubled that an oligarch had that kind of power. What’s more, just about every nation with a real economy has a central bank. The idea that an economic superpower like the United States could function without a central bank is absurd. It’s an idea that only has credence among wackadoodles.

      1. Wackadoodles they may be, but the American Founders and Framers saw fit to omit and, thereby, exclude your “central bank” concept (i.e., global communism) and leave banking, as they did all other industries, to freedom and free people in the “pursuit of happiness” in private property free enterprises in free industries in the free markets of the private sector.

What those brilliant forefathers actually did was make it a crime against fundamental law to purloin the private free enterprises of other individuals and the markets they made, namely bankers, while they denied any power to regulate the banking industry in Article 1, Section 8.

You know, you sound very much like that sickly invalid and besotted parasite enabler, Karl Marx.

And you sound like you have no grasp of or appreciation for freedom in the land of the free; how could that happen, comrade?

You’re like Lincoln, the Roosevelts, Wilson, Kennedy, Johnson, Obama et al.; you just hate freedom, America, its Constitution, and its Bill of Rights as you worship the principles of communism.

        How sad.

          1. Karl Marx supposed EVERYTHING central. Correct me if I’m wrong. And you are correct, communism was created to and has gone global, which is the problem. Central banks are global, as is the entire “new class,” nomenklatura, apparatchik, “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs,” open borders, “dictatorship of the proletariat,” welfare state.

Oh, and please cite for me the Article and Section of the Constitution that establishes a “central bank.”

      2. J.P. Morgan, you say?

And wasn’t it said in the early to mid 20th century, “When General Motors sneezes, the world catches a cold?”

You just hate successful people and entities, I mean, being a communist and all.

The Constitution allows freedom, free enterprise, free markets, and monopolies, and it invites competition to adjust their success, comrade, the way God and nature want it. You’re free; drop the covetousness; go start a company and get rich.

  10. Brief synopsis of Trump’s speech today at Davos:

Greenland, Iceland, Iceberg, Greenberg, Goldberg, Hamberg, Hamberder, Covfefe, Arnold Palmer, Hannibal Lecter, Person, Woman, Man, Camera, TV, Giraffe, Lions and Tigers and Bears.

    1. Today is the most humiliating day in the history of the United States of America.

      At least until tomorrow.

    2. U.S. Secretary of State William H. Seward William H. Seward negotiated the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867, a deal costing $7.2 million (about two cents per acre) that critics derided as “Seward’s Folly” or “Seward’s Icebox” but proved immensely valuable with later discoveries of gold and oil.

  11. Trump in Davos, Switzerland:

“Without us, right now you’d all be speaking German”.

German is the predominant language of Switzerland.

      1. Forget Davos. Let’s talk American, if we’re all going to live as one.

*Do you think ICE is Trump’s personal Gestapo brownshirts? [yes] or [no]

    1. “German is the predominant language of Switzerland.”

And also of France, Italy, England, Finland . . .?

Amazing what one can learn on the interweb.

    1. Clinton will spend half of his $100,000,000 on all the legal assistance he’s gonna need. He’s got to put on his best performance or else. And still, he may he may occupy Cosby’s old pad. That will be a day of great rejoicing.

  13. Meanwhile, Trump made a fool of himself in Switzerland with his babbling and incoherent speech, insulting literally all of our allies, lying about his alleged “accomplishments”, ending nonexistent “wars” and proving that he is not mentally or morally fit to be POTUS. Canadian and Britsh leaders spoke out about how Trump is destroying relationships built over decades, and mulitple NATO allies have deployed troops and resources to defend Greenland against Trump’s threats of aggression–and, it IS “Greenland”, not “Iceland”, something Trump frequently confuses in his dementia. The real reasons Trump wants Greenland is that some of his largest campaign contributors want to make billions extracting rare minerals, of which Greenland has rich deposits–but they don’t want to pay Greenland for mining rights; then, there’s “real estate developer” angle. Greenland has already said that the US can put in additional military bases and all of the missile defense systems it wants to–but Trump wants the territory itself. He’s not going to get it–our NATO allies will see to that, but he will, in the process, destroy relationships with Denmark and NATO. Putin just sits back, laughing at all of the damage Trump is doing and the fool he is making of himself by accepting someone else’s Nobel Prize and endlessly lying.

Further, despite the statute requiring disclosure of the Epstein files, only 1% has been disclosed because Pammie Jo has her marching orders not to disclose the files–so, she’s never going to do it. Lindsay Halligan got threatened with criminal prosecution if she continues misrepresenting herself as a US Attorney, because Trump told her to ignore Court orders, so she got fired and the judge is soliciting interested attorneys to apply for the position. The Epstein victims can just go to hell for all they care. No justice for children whose innocence was stolen by wealthy and powerful men Trump wants to protect–which includes him.

Since Turley and other MAGA media cannot defend Trump, the next best thing is to attack Democrats as radicals. It’s not working–Americans are fed up. You can’t scare away potential voters by trying to portray Democrats as radicals.

    1. Really hate Trump. Easy to understand your hurt feelings from your diatribe.
Finally have a leader who puts. the US first. Can we really rely on our European allies who have to be threatened to past their just NATO dues?
And please, put the Epstein files to bed. How about we check Hunter’s computer? Cannot do because his Daddy pardoned him.

      1. You are SO deep into Trump delusionland. It is the interests of the US to forge and maintain relationships with the EU and NATO; that’s what has prevented WWIII. We have relied on those alliances to keep us apprised of potential threats. They share their intelligence with us–or, at least they did, up to Trump, but not so much any more because we cannot be trusted, thanks to Trump. NATO has served to deter Putin from starting another war, which he wants to do because he lusts after reconstituting the former USSR; but now, Trump is threatening NATO because he wants his biggest campaign donors to get rich off of Greenland’s rare earth minerals that they don’t want to pay for. Greenland would deal with these companies and sell them the minerals, but they don’t want to pay a fair price–they want Trump to take it over and let them have it for way less than fair value, so they can get even richer. THAT’s the real reason Trump covets Greenland–that, and his ego–he doesn’t care about the rights of a sovereign country that is the territory of an ally–he thinks it would give him some kind of “glory” to take Greenland. How much more accommodating could Greenland be–they would allow as many additional military bases and missile installations as we would want to put in-IF the real reason was protection against China and Russia–but it’s not. There are NO Chinese or Russian warships in the area–something else Trump lies about.

The only time the “mutual defense” part of the NATO treaty has been used since WW 2 was during 911, when our allies came to our aid. So “can we really rely on our European allies”? YES, but they CAN’T rely on us anymore thanks to Trump. Trump puts HIMSELF FIRST–always has, always will. He thinks he’s some kind of grand leader that people call “sir” and that he can just create facts out of thin air–like he tries to recreate 2020 in which he “won by a landslide”, which is just another of his big, fat, lies–disproven over and over again, but he can’t let it rest. He thinks if he siccs Pammie Jo onto those who prosecuted him that he will somehow be vindicated–but he will go down in history as the worst occupant of the White House—EVER–the first POTUS to try to start an insurrection because he’s a sore loser. He lies about inflation–it is only .3% less than when he took office–not a significant difference, and certainly NO record. The cost of food is up across the board, and for some items, like coffee, the percentage increase is in double digits, thanks to his tariffs.

Other lies–told just today: He said that “Canada lives because of the United States”. That China doesn’t have any windmills–they have more than any other country. That, in WW 2, somehow, after the Nazis invaded Denmark that the US, which came to Denmark’s aid, somehow acquired Denmark, and that “the US was stupid to give it back”. We never owned it to begin with. His stupidity is embarrassing–just like he tries to claim that the government of Norway awards the Nobel Peace Prize–it doesn’t–the Nobel committee is a private enterprise. He’s using this as an excuse to threaten to take Greenland by force. AND Trump did not solve 8 “wars”, either. The rest of the world is speaking out against him–there were eloquent speeches pointing out the damage he has done.

The American people will NEVER “put the Epstein files to bed” because of the innocence of the victims and their right to see those who sexually assaulted them brought to justice. The role of the Department of Justice is to get justice for crime victims–not protect wealthy pedophiles who stole the innocence of young girls. So, no matter how much Trump tries to deflect and Pammie Jo tries to delay–eventually the truth will come out, and you know that it has to be bad for Trump or he wouldn’t work so hard to conceal it. Nobody cares about Hunter Biden, but we DO care about the hundreds of young lives that were damaged because of Trump’s “best friend for 10 years”.

        1. Anon you’re delusional…although everyone already knows that. Bill Clinton and Bill Gates were on Epstein Island more than anyone. Trump never was, if there was anything on him they would have used it. GFY with a pinecone.

          1. Trump is mentioned 13,000 times in the Epstein files— so, if anyone should be required to testify before Congress, it should be Trump. Bill Clinton shouldn’t have to testify until the entire Epstein files have been disclosed. After all, Trump has had access to the files for years— but Clinton hasn’t—so it’s just another time- wasting deflection by Republicans. And, I’m sure that Trump has been given a synopsis of what the files say about him. Trump flew on Epstein’s plane at least 7 times.

Trump’s problem is that there are too many former FBI and DOJ employees who have seen the files and there are multiple copies of documents and things out there, including with Epstein’s Estate, so if he tries to flush them, he’ll get caught. So, he has Pammie Jo simply ignore the statute and subpoenas.

        2. Amazing how little you know. And you understand less. NATO, the countries composing it, rely on the US whether or not we contribute a dime. 911 assistance arose from their own concerns about safety.

    2. Great allies! They sure helped their next door neighbor, Ukraine, with a people longing to be free.

  14. Carville is anteing up the stakes of civil discord that could be the catalyst of a brewing 21st Civil War with physical violence in the US. He is pounding his chest with his threatening vitriol that he will regret.

“Supreme Court prepares for major test of presidential power in Trump efforts to fire Federal Reserve governor”

    – Fox News
    ______________

  16. The Republicans should consider packing the court now. The reason there are nine justices is because there were nine judicial circuits back in 1869. Each justice oversaw one circuit. There are 13 now. Which is probably the excuse the Democrats will use to provide cover for increasing the number of justices by four. The Republicans could get away with it by introducing a bill to increase the number and then nuke the filibuster in the Senate. Which is exactly what the Democrats will do once they control both houses of Congress and the White House.

    1. @Anonymous

There was a time I would greatly disagree, but fair play is now off the table. Any purple or red state that does not redistrict, any not nominating people to SCOTUS, and not calcifying law – it’s just polite folly, now. Worse than pretense, the gloves are off. Act or whither – that’s about it.

    2. The America and Constitution of the Founders do not exist, and the sole discernible explanation is ideological and jurisprudential corruption.

The Supreme Court justices and many judges must be impeached and convicted for egregiously usurping power and exceeding the “manifest tenor” of the Constitution.

“…courts…must…declare all acts contrary to the manifest tenor of the Constitution void.”

“…men…do…what their powers do not authorize, [and] what [their powers] forbid.”
      __________________________________________________________________________________________

“[A] limited Constitution … can be preserved in practice no other way than through the medium of courts of justice, whose duty it must be to declare all acts contrary to the manifest tenor of the Constitution void. Without this, all the reservations of particular rights or privileges would amount to nothing … To deny this would be to affirm … that men acting by virtue of powers may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid.”

      – Alexander Hamilton

    3. Except most Republicans will sit by and watch it happen and then ask for campaign contributions for re-election as if nothing happened. Pitiful existence as long as they get what they need, to hell with the rest of us.
