“I am Going to Kill Donald Trump”: Ohio Attorney General Candidate Runs on Rage

In my book on our age of rage I explore how rage is addictive and contagious. What people do not want to admit in places like Minneapolis is that they like it, they need it. Politicians know that. Even after Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones was shown to have threatened to kill his political opponents and their children, other Democratic leaders continued to support him and he was elected to the highest law enforcement position in the state. Now, Ohio Democratic Attorney General candidate Elliot Forhan appears to be attempting to ride the same rage wave in a video in which he says, “…I am going to kill Donald Trump.”

A video is making rounds on X in which Forhan says, “I am going to obtain conviction, rendered by a jury of his peers, at a standard of proof beyond reasonable doubt, based on evidence, presented at trial, conducted in accordance with due process, resulting in a sentence, duly executed, of capital punishment.”

Forhan continued, “That is what I mean when I say I am going to kill Donald Trump.”

The video shows the thrill of saying (or hearing others declare) that you are going to kill your political enemies. After the thrill-kill statement, Forhan then adds the legal rationale, like a fast-talking commercial warning of product risks. He knows, as with those warnings, people will tune out the perfunctory verbiage. Indeed, like a commercial, he immediately returns to the marketing pitch in saying, “I am going to kill Donald Trump.”

This is protected speech under the First Amendment, but it is also reprehensible rhetoric at a time of increasing social unrest. Forhan is trafficking in rage in the hope that it will secure him a political office.

This pledge to hunt a single individual has worked for other Democratic Attorney General candidates like Letitia James.

Other prosecutors are feeding the rage addiction with their own overwrought and dubious pledges.  Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner has been holding chest-thumping press conferences promising to arrest federal agents, which is highly unlikely given federal immunity protections.

Krasner was back, thrilling the MS Now crowd with a vow to “hunt” down federal immigration agents if they move into the city. He repeated the Democratic mantra that these law enforcement officers are Nazis and Gestapo.

“This is a small bunch of wannabe Nazis. That’s what they are. In a country of 350 million, we outnumber them. If we have to hunt you down the way they hunted down Nazis for decades, we will find your identities. We will find you. We will achieve justice.”

This reckless rhetoric from Krasner (who was in my class at the University of Chicago) is occurring as protesters in cities like Minneapolis have been shown carrying signs reading “Kill Nazis.”

From pledges to kill Trump to hunting down federal enforcement officers, Democratic leaders are attempting to ride the rage wave to midterm victories. It is a call not for democracy but mobocracy. They will find that it will be a short-lived ride. Today’s revolutionaries often turn into tomorrow’s reactionaries.

Jonathan Turley is a law professor and the author of the forthcoming “Rage and the Republic: The Unfinished Story of the American Revolution,” which will be released on Feb. 3 as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

  1. Seems that there is a lot of “divisive distraction” ongoing (Minnesota, Immigration, etc…), when Congress is having to Fund the Government as the Government shutdown so-called risk grows as of the Jan. 30 Funding Deadline approaches (tomorrow). Why? when Congress and the White house just approved a 1 Trillion dollar budget. Now they need right more, and are expecting the next Big Beautiful Budget to be 1.5 Trillion.

    1. ATS – This spending vote is approving the Budget for a PART of the budget Framework that the BBB authorized.
It is NOT additional spending. It is the formal approval of one of the budget bills – I beleive there are 13 total that make up the Federal Budget.

The BBB was essentially a blueprint for that budget.

  2. Another narrative falling apart,

Normie America has weighed in on mass deportations.

Between 55% to 64% want ALL illegals deported. No exceptions.

Don’t let the anti-ICE thugs fool you. They are for chaos, criminals, and corruption. They are against democracy, the rule of law, and YOU.pic.twitter.com/98ulHhFpCK
    — Kyle Becker (@kylenabecker) January 27, 2026

    1. And this is why you should check your sources. Kyle Becker linked to CNN, which cited the NYT for the 55% number.

      https://www.nytimes.com/2025/10/08/us/trump-deportation-illegal-immigrants-voters-poll.html

This was the September 2025 poll from NYT (so obviously not current). It also didn’t say “no exceptions;” rather the 55% broadly supported the concept of deporting illegal immigrants. The same poll – back in Sept mind you – also said a majority of Americans disapproved of Trump’s approach to deportations (52%) which directly refuted the concept of a “no exceptions” policy.

Before you continue to spread misinformation please check primary sources. The world gets dumber each time people on both sides of the aisle do so.

      1. ATS – there are 3 polls within the past week that confirm what USF has posted.
        Harvard Harris, Rassmussen and RNG.
Rassussen also found that Trump is CURRENTLY +8 with hispanics.

I have no idea what Becker cited – and frankly I do not trust you to accurately report anything.

Regardless, you are making a common error.

While the left has successfully misrepresented the Minnesota Sweep in numerous ways and it has successfully misrepresented the shootings in many ways, it has convinced people to be upset by and oppose something that is not happen.
People are not being murdered by ICE
Protestors are NOT peaceful – they are not even protesting lawfully.
People are not being detained randomly or because they are people of color – though the overwhelming majority of illegal aliens are people of color.
ICE is not conducting neighborhood sweeps – the organized nature of the MN rioters makes that impossible.
When ICE guest to a location to detain someone with an outstanding deportation order – they have about 15 minutes before they will be overrun by rioters.
In the instance of the pretti shooting – ICE arrived, they were unable to locate the person they were after.
They were preparing to leave when accosted by Pretti was shot and ICE left because they were already outnumber by a violent mob.
MPD showed up and was unable to secure the scene – because they too were driven off by an angry mob.

ICE barely has time to serve ONE deportation order – before they have to move on – or your “peaceful protesters” will move in an beat them to death.

If you think I am wrong – fly to Minneapolis, put on an ICE uniform and walk the streets.
See if you are still alive 15minutes later ?

  3. I would not want these people working for me or being my care giver.
Florida suspends license of nurse who wished childbirth injury on Karoline Leavitt
“The former labor and delivery nurse, identified as Alexis Lawler, posted a video on social media last week where she wished Leavitt would experience a “fourth degree tear” during childbirth. She was fired over the post.”
    https://justthenews.com/nation/states/florida-suspends-license-nurse-who-wished-childbirth-injury-karoline-leavitt?utm_source=referral&utm_medium=offthepress&utm_campaign=home

    1. Plus the VCU nurse outlining plans for how to harm Federal law enforcement (ICE).

Medical professionals wishing pain and torture for those deemed “undesirable.”

Haven’t we seen that horror before?

      1. Sam: Were you referring to the ‘ICU nurse’ who spat (at least twice in the video) on ICE officers and their vehicle, and their shoes, mask, and nearby sidewalk–who should know, by medical training, the pathogens contained in the dirty spittle of even ostensibly “healthy” persons?

        1. (I realize you are talking about “Melnda” the VCU nurse.) I’m just adding to the pile of reverence historically afforded to saintly medical personnel [of which I once was part of].

        2. According to far left leaning “above the law”
spitting on a federal officer (the same thing but different laws is true of state law enforcement) is a crime. At best it is a misdemeanor with a 4month sentence, at worst a fellony with an 8 year sentence.

      2. Sam,
Ah! Good question. What other group would do pain and torture for those they did not like? The parallels of far leftists and 1930s Germany grow stronger every day.

      3. Jew-hating nurses in Australia went on video explaining how they would medically harm Jews who came in for treatment. This idea of harming people because you dislike or disagree with them is completely foreign to a nurse’s professional training and obligations. It would be like a lawyer attempting to make his or her client lose in court. It’s the opposite of what they’re trained to do, and what they know they are bound by the rules of professional responsibility to do.

  4. Oh, boy. Looks like the narrative is falling apart.

  5. Looks like Turley jumped to conclusions way too quickly on the 5 year old bait story.

Feds violating court orders repeatedly, yet he takes their work as the gospel over the family and the school district. Why?

Columbia Heights Public Schools School Board Chair Mary Granlund stated she was at the scene and witnessed ICE agents lead 5-year-old Liam to the front door, directing him to knock and ask to be let in to see if others were inside.

Multiple neighbors and community members who filmed the incident reported seeing agents ignore several adults on-site who “begged” to take custody of the child, including one person waving what they claimed were legal papers.

Stenvik (Superintendent) noted that when she arrived, the father’s car was still running in the driveway with the child’s belongings inside, which she used to challenge the DHS claim that the father had abandoned the child to flee.

Stenvik stated she has seen the family’s legal paperwork “with my own eyes,” confirming they had a pending asylum case and no active deportation orders.

Turley criticized MN Dems for choosing “rage politics” over sanity because they “rushed to condem ICE death of Renee Nicole Good as “murder” before the investigation conclude[d].” Yet, here he is rushing to judgment in exactly the same way prior to the conclusion of this investigation. What a hypocrite.

      1. Pretti had a weapon. It was taken from him by an ICE officer – without Pretti’s knowledge or other ICE officers knowledge in the scuffle.
Pretti then Reached for the weapon – which he and the other offices did NOT know was secure – that BTW alone is enough.

But as many other experts have pointed out – people with ONE weapon often have two. Even if the officers all KNEW that one weapons was secure the instant PRetti reached behind his back – rather than comply with the officers- he justified his shooting.
An officer does not need to see a weapon to shoot you – if they have to wait to see if you have a weapon when you reach for something when you are being arrested – the officers are DEAD if they are wrong. Under the best of circumstances reaction time is 1/4 of a second.
If PRetti reached for something nd officers could not react until they saw it was a gun – Prettu would hve fired two shots before they could fie back -and that is if they had their guns already pointed at him. If they did not – it is reaction time PLUS time to draw and aim your weapon.
It is typical to be able to fire consequtive shots 2/10th of a second apart. If reaction time plus drawing a weapon takes a second – that is 5 shots fired by Pretti before any officer could respond.

All of the above is ALWAYS taken into account in police shootings.
Law enforcement does not need to see a gun to fire. They are free to shoot if the suspect appears to be going for a weapon.

Again this is NOT about ICE – it is true of ALL police shootings.

    1. “Feds violating court orders repeatedly”
Has a single attempt to hold the feds in contempt survived appeal ?
Judges have Threatened contempt only a few loons have actually tried to go worward with contempt claims – and those were pi$$ed all over by the first appeals court.
There is not a single claim that the feds are violating court orders that has survived the FIRST appeal.

It is not the feds that are refusing to obey court orders – it is a SMALL collection of looney judges who are WAY out over their skis.

“yet he takes their work as the gospel over the family and the school district. Why?”
What has the school district got to do with this ?
The only people who could take the 5yr old are his legal guardians – his father an mother – or someone with paperwork proving they were the legal guardian.
Further it is NOT normal for LEOs to make what are essentially judicial decisions on the street.
Either the dad takes the kid or the mother takes the kid, or ICE takes the kid and lets it get sorted out later.
This is not about ICE – it is about how MOST arrests with children take place.

“Columbia Heights Public Schools School Board Chair Mary Granlund stated she was at the scene and witnessed ICE agents lead 5-year-old Liam to the front door, directing him to knock and ask to be let in to see if others were inside.”
      And this means What ?

“Multiple neighbors and community members who filmed the incident reported seeing agents ignore several adults on-site who “begged” to take custody of the child, including one person waving what they claimed were legal papers.”
And ICE is supposed to setup in the lawn call a district magistrate and sort out who can legally take the kid ?
It is NOT their job to adjudicate custody. Absent a mother or father taking the kid they and NOT turning the kid over to someone who could turn out to be a pedophile.

“Stenvik (Superintendent) noted that when she arrived, the father’s car was still running in the driveway with the child’s belongings inside, which she used to challenge the DHS claim that the father had abandoned the child to flee.”
Your statement does not even make sense. Regardless, is Stenvik willing to testify that the Father had physical custody of the child ?
What does it matter whether there is a car running in the driveway with the kids things inside ?
What matters is not the car, whether it was running, or the kids belongings
What matters is did the father have physical custody of the kid.
Actually evern that does not matter. – because the Father has only 3 choices – tell ICE to bring the kid with him to detention.
Tell ICE to take the kid to Child protective services, or Tell ICE to give the kid to his mother – who MUST be present and must accept him or we are back to option 1 or 2.

ICE is not going to drag out Judge Judy and have a custody hearing in the lawn.

“Stenvik stated she has seen the family’s legal paperwork “with my own eyes,” confirming they had a pending asylum case and no active deportation orders.”
Not relevant. If there is no actual deportation order -then the father will be entitled to a deportation hearing before a Article II INS judge.
If there is an actual pending valid claim for asylum – that can be addressed at that time.
Regardless Actual US assylum order is nearly impossible to acheive.
Contra Biden you MUST go to the closest US consulate to you, or to a US port of entry an request asylum.
Except in extremely rare circumstances you must wait OUTSIDE the US for an assylum hearing.
Which there is a 98% chance you will lose.

Biden was using Executive orders to allow people to request asylum via a CBP app on their phone after crossing the border.
Trump has rescinded those EOs and invalidated all of those Asylum apps – because they are illegal.
If you do not like that – CHANGE THE LAW. When you pull unconstitutional schiff via EO – it goes away with the next president.

ICE is actually suing the data from Biden’s CBP app to locate people, identify them and deport them.
      And that is perfectly legal.

Again – if the father has no deportation order – then he will not be deported nearly instantly. He will have to have a deportation hearing before he can be deported – UNLESS, he was previously deported and has illegally returned – Deportation orders are essentially forever.
Once deported you may not return, you may not request asylum, you may not request a visa, you may not request a work permit or residency, or citizenship, and if you enter the US again you will be deported without a hearing.

That is the LAW, if you do not like it change it.

Biden’s EOs are NOT “the law”

And I have not even addressed the FACT that there is massive amounts of Forged paperwork.
No ICE is not going to care what paperwork Stenvik claims she has seen.
They are going to care if they have a valide deportation order – which is MOST of their arrests.
Or an otherwise valid reason to detain the person.
The paperwork will get sorted out at the detention center or a Article II INS hearing.

“Turley criticized MN Dems for choosing “rage politics” over sanity because they “rushed to condem ICE death of Renee Nicole Good as “murder” before the investigation conclude[d].””

” Yet, here he is rushing to judgment in exactly the same way prior to the conclusion of this investigation. ”
and yet you have failed to make that case.

Your entire argument – which if you had a braid you would realize is not about ICE – but about ANY Law Enforcement arresting someone with a child.

The police do not stage a mini trial in the front yard to decide what to do with the child.
Just as they do NOT hold a mini trial in the front yard to decide if they warrant is valid.

They move forward on the order they have and let the magistrates, courts, judges etc sort it out.

If you had a brain you would understand that is the ONLY way that Law Enforcement can operate.

Those of you on the left want to pretend that in each and every case you can conduct a one sided extraneous analysis of factors that law enforcement is going to ignore and leave up to the courts later.

  6. Are whites worth protecting from violence more than blacks or Hispanics are?
Are Christians worth protecing from violence more than Jews or Muslims are?
Are Republicans worth protecting from violence more than Democrats are?

To many in this blog, the answer is yes, yes, and yes.

    1. If you and your comment represent the non-Whites, the non-Christians, or the non-Republicans, you can see why.

    2. Are criminal illegals who rape and murder women and children worth protecting over those very women and children?

To many on this blog, the answer is yes.
To all those anti-ICE protesters and rioters, the answer is yes.

Jocelyn Nungaray (12, Texas): Two Venezuelan men in the country illegally were arrested and charged with capital murder in June 2024,

Laken Riley (22, Georgia): A nursing student who was killed in February 2024 while jogging. A Venezuelan man who entered the U.S. illegally was charged with her murder.

Rachel Morin (37, Maryland): A mother of five was found murdered in August 2023. In June 2024, a suspect from El Salvador, who was in the country illegally, was arrested.

Larisha Thompson (South Carolina): Six undocumented immigrants were charged in connection with a robbery-turned-murder in June 2025.

    3. The law is blind to all of that.
If you are here illegally – you can lawfully be deported.
If you use unjustified violence against others – you can lawfully be punished for it

Your race, sex, religion, politics do not matter.

At the same time – we look for people who are killing jews because they are jews among Nazi, and other groups that are openly antisemetic.
We do not look for people who kill jews because they are jews in jewish Temples.

When 95% of illegal aliens are from south or central america – we look for them among south and central americans – not frenchmen.

  7. “ We are moving to targeted enforcement of aliens with a criminal history. This includes arrests, not just convictions. ALL TARGETS MUST HAVE A CRIMINAL NEXUS,” the directive said.”

Apparently they weren’t before when they said they were. This is why so many are angry and upset. ICE has been targeting those without criminal history more often than not, and violating constitutional rights along the way. If they have to capitalize the point that targets must have a criminal nexus it shows they have not been doing that. It all comes back to the poor training and shoddy vetting of recruits.

    1. “It all comes back to the poor training and shoddy vetting of recruits.”

Oh. Here I thought you said it all came from the hate-filled hearts of every conservative who ever lived! Silly me

    2. X/George: If you go into a store to get a loaf of bread, and on the way in, you see eggs on sale, should you not get them while you can?
If, while walking along the ocean shore, you decide to pick up bottles and cans, should you just walk past dog poop or an unlit firecracker?
If the FBI closes in on someone on its Most Wanted List, and on the way remembers that another wanted criminal is also in the area (even if not MostWanted) should it save the latter for another day?
      Think, George, Think.

      1. Lin, really? You went with those analogies? I thought you were smarter than that.

Comparing a trip to the store and an ICE specific order? Really?

I don’t believe you would be that stupid. But here we are.

Going to the store to get a loaf of bread and see eggs on sale does in no way equate to ICE taking those who are NOT criminals and in a legal process. Eggs don’t have families or have any connection to a community.

Picking up bottles and cans on the beach and ignoring poop and an unlit firecracker makes sense. Why would you pick up dog poop and a firecracker when you can get money for picking up recyclables? What the heck Lin?

“ If the FBI closes in on someone on its Most Wanted List, and on the way remembers that another wanted criminal is also in the area (even if not MostWanted) should it save the latter for another day?”

YES! Because legally they would need a warrant specific to that person. ‘Remembering” there might be another criminal in the area still requires a warrant for that person. The FBI is not a sloppy operation compared ICE these days. Did due process even enter the picture when you thought that poor analogy up? Maybe you should think a bit longer before responding.

        1. “I thought you were smarter than that.”
Your recently-learned and repeated tactic doesn’t quite work on people like me, George.
I regret, with your in-depth comprehensive and contextual skills, that you could not grasp the symbolic analogies.
(oh, and by the way, those on “wanted lists” generally have issued or pending warrants for further questioning. That’s what makes them “wanted,” George.) YOur own words: “‘Remembering’” there might be another CRIMINAL (emphasis mine) in the area still requires a warrant for that person” actually made me LOL.We on this site have discussed at length the non-warrant stop, question, a/o arrest available options ad nauseam. Thanks anyway, George.

    3. . In Minnesota after meeting with Homan , jails , prisons will notify DHS, ICE at release. They had refused to do so, X. Florida State legislature does this and the governor can remove mayors and officials refusing.

DJT and Walz must have had some kind of phone call? Florida police assist in crowd control if any develop. These measures protect everyone, detainees, incarcerated, police and DHS agents. They’re common sense.

Congress is egregiously remiss for not instituting these commen sense measures. State IDs for noncitizens should not look like regular IDs either. This would delete confusion as people game the system.

ICE in many cases are arresting murderers and dangerous criminals. Officers are in constant danger.

Pretti kicked out the taillights of an ICE vehicle and spit on officers . Arrest should have been done by local police as ICE cannot arrest citizens. If Pretti, RIP, had been arrested and charged at that time he might be alive today.

It’s the failure of Governors that created these deaths and egregious results. Congress can also fine States daily via the governors as common criminals would be charged and or by withholding federal money until police are ordered to do their job, fines not reclaimable.
      Crowd control is not immigration.

Congress fails by inaction. Eventually all undocumented will be arrested as phase 2. It effects elections both State and Federal and is unconstitutional via census.

Numbers of Somali refugees and migrants as high as 80% are on social welfare. This disqualifies them as immigrants. There is evidence of fraud, as well.

What did DJT say to Walz 🤔. Personally, X, I am deeply sorry with empathy for all involved but my emotions are second in consideration. I’m not from Kansas anymore.

Personally, it’s not insurrection. It’s organized crime, criminals. It’s RICO.

      1. It is incorrect to say that ICE cannot arrest citizens. ICE cannot arrest citizens for immigration violations, but that seems obvious. They can arrest citizens who commit non-immigration crimes, such as obstruction, assault, damage to property etc.

    4. “Apparently they weren’t before when they said they were.”
According to CNN 47% of deportations are people CONVICTED of crimes int he US or other countries.
According to DHS data another 23% – a total of 70% plus have pending criminal investications charges or prosecutions.

“This is why so many are angry and upset.”
Because people like you keep lying to them and too many beleive you.

“ICE has been targeting those without criminal history more often than not,”
      Nope – not even close.

“and violating constitutional rights along the way. ”
Again you keep saying that – but only a handful of judges have entertained such claims, and no such claim has survived appeal.

“If they have to capitalize the point that targets must have a criminal nexus it shows they have not been doing that.”
No it is just political theater to deal with idiots like you.

Homan is changing some tactics. He needs to change the dynamics such that ICE does not have the double duty of “crowd control, and arrests of illegal aliens”.

Whatever the new tactics – they will seek to minimize the amount of Crowd control ICE must do.

Already Walz has activated the MN NG and they are protecting Federal Fascilities – Homan is sending away the officers that were protecting those fascilities.

MPD drove violent protestors away from hotels ICE was staying at – that is more officers that can go home.

His goal is to be able to make arrests in MN jails and prisons, and to have MPD or the MN NG do crowd control while ICE makes arrests.

he would need a fraction of the agents to perform the same arrests if he gets the cooperation of MN.

Do you think that these left wing loon protestors are going to attack the MPD or the MN NG in the same way they are doing ICE ?

Regardless, Homan is saying “we are going to make a change – from targeting criminals – to targeting criminals,
and while we are at it we ware going to find ways to assure that agitators have to deal with MPD or the MN NG rather than ICE.

” It all comes back to the poor training and shoddy vetting of recruits.”
We have been through this and you keep lying.

    5. X there are 6000 ICE officers today.
There were 6000 ICE officers in 2024.
How many current officers were hired in 2025 ?
      5% ? 10% ? 50% ?

Where did all the 6000 well trained ICE officers with years of experience in 2024 go in the past year

DO YOU HAVE A BRAIN ?

When do you stop making an argument that is OBVIOUSLY wrong ?

You keep shilling the collusion delusion, and the hunter biden laptop.

Are we going to have to hear this idiocy that ICE officers are poorly trained, out of shape, ….
      For another 3 years ?

  8. “ An internal directive sent out Wednesday tells Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to focus exclusively on immigrants with “a criminal history” and “verbalize every step of the arrest process” using megaphones, according to Reuters.”

Exclusively on immigrants with a criminal history? Wasn’t that the original order? They have been going on roving patrols using cell phone surveillance and social media to find ANY immigrant until Pretti was killed. It seems the White House is now becoming aware that things are going to far with regard to immigrant arrests.

Megaphones? I hope that $50,000 bonus is worth the hassle.

    1. why have you (with such stunning insider knowledge) assigned a motive to the internal memo?
How do you know that the memo was not intended to address the fact that ICE wants to accelerate its priorities so that it can move on to other “priority” locations?
How do you not know that ICE officials might simply want to stay clear of confrontations by taking EXTRA measures to avoid the likes of you and twisted media in assigning your own meaning to what’s being done.
I see this as prophylactic not corrective.

    1. You got it right, he was a dog, trying to piss on humans.
BTW, the quotes, wanna name the source.
      Guessing its your warped mind.
      Have a nice day! 😊

    2. . If local police had arrested him the first time for kicking out ICE vehicle taillights, he might be alive today; instead, he returned fully loaded.

What a horrible occurrence traceable to Walz. ICE could not arrest him the first time he committed a crime. In the second event he put his hands on an officer while fully loaded. It’s a true tragedy, anon.

Minnesota is currently cooperating. Police can do their jobs. Go get some lunch now, big boy. I’m not mad. Passive aggressive meaning– F U. Watch me break the law, big boy. (look it up).

Sometimes police protect fools by using laws but nothing is fool-proof.

This is what TDS does to one’s brain.

  9. rage(n.)

    c. 1300, “madness, insanity; fit of frenzy; rashness, foolhardiness, intense or violent emotion, anger, wrath; fierceness in battle; violence” (of storms, fire, etc.), from Old French rage, raige “spirit, passion, rage, fury, madness” (11c.), from Medieval Latin rabia, from Latin rabies “madness, rage, fury,” related to rabere “be mad, rave” (compare rabies, which originally had this sense).

Maybe his Anthropogenic Intelligence (AI) is hallucinating, a gay sojourn, or he’s quite mad.

  10. You say it’s rage. Rage is when a person snaps….loses control. Regrets it later.

I say it’s performative and rehearsed. I say it’s manipulating media’s thirst for the sensational to obtain publicity.

You’re using the wrong noun, JT. Your book editor should have caught it.

It’s infowarfare. If you can’t tell the difference, you’ve lost the ability to accurately process what it going on.

    1. “ you’ve lost the ability to accurately process what it going on.”

That has been obvious for a while now. Plus, it seems he’s obligated to support/enable the Fox News narrative or whatever MAGA narrative is attached to in the news cycle.

Of course that sells in Democratic circles as the Democrat’s base is even more stupid than this guy.

      1. Yeah, the Dems have really shown their ability to govern. Let’s see what DOJ provides before the election…surprise!

  12. Trump Demonized Congresswoman Right Before Attack

As President Trump riled up a rally crowd on Tuesday night describing immigrants bent on harming and killing Americans, he singled out one person in particular as an example of a bad actor.

Foreigners coming into the United States, he told his audience in Iowa, “have to show they can love our country; they have to be proud — not like Ilhan Omar.”

The crowd booed. They recognized the name of the Democratic congresswoman from Minnesota, whom the president has demonized and dehumanized for years with racist and xenophobic attacks, venting that she should “go back” to her country, referring to her as “garbage,” and mocking her hijab by calling it a “little turban.”

Not long afterward, at her own event in North Minneapolis, Ms. Omar was attacked by a man who rushed the lectern where she was speaking, spraying her with a strong-smelling liquid.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/28/us/politics/ilhan-omar-trump-attack.html
    …………………..

Yes, Ilhan Omar is name MAGA people boo. But historically presidents have tried to stay civil when naming opponents they don’t appreciate. But Donald Trump puts the word out like a Grand Wizard.

    1. During her 2020 re-election campaign, Mynett’s consulting firm, the E Street Group, received nearly $3 million from Omar’s campaign funds.
Omar and Mynett married “Islamically and legally” in 2020. Traditional Sunni Islam, to which Omar belongs, religiously forbids a Muslim woman from marrying a non-Muslim man. The production, sale, and consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited by Islamic law (haram). Mynett’s active role at a winery and the specific pursuit of profit from alcohol sales present a theological conflict with the faith Omar frequently cites as a guiding moral compass in her legislative work.

        1. Defense attorneys defend crimininals. That’s what they are supposed to do according to our system.

        1. Has anyone here tried to criticize Leftists on Newsweek’s blog where they demand civilized statements to qualify to post comments?

            1. Yea, get back to us after you wipe the Mommy breast milk off your chin first…unless of course Mayor Pete is your Mommy🤣

        1. Why? Trump’s White House has been smearing Omar with inflammatory rhetoric including calls to denaturalize and deport her. You could say Trump’s own rage rhetoric is responsible for the violent attack on Omar. Obviously Turley will not categorize it as a rage rhetoric of the right.

          1. Spending donors’ gifts for a $5,000 flight to London, staying in presidential suites for $1200 a night, expensive clothing, on $174,000 a year and paying back the educational loan, should make her other extravagant purchases questionable. Oooops. I forgot. She gave the 3 million from donors to her hubby’s business.

        1. No proof of what ? That the attack was staged ?

Proof at the moment beyond a reasonable doubt ? No.

          Reasonable suspicion ? Absolutely.

Regardless the “attacker” should be fully prosecuted.

If he really was after Omar, that will come out, and they should lock him up and throw away the key.
If however this was staged – the threat of a decade in federal prison is likely to loosen his tongue.

So rather than hurling insults – lets get to the bottom of it.

Pretty sure attacking a Congressional rep is a Federal Crime – so lets have DOJ and FBI take over.
Lets get to the bottom of this.

          1. John Say,

            “ Reasonable suspicion ? Absolutely.”

Again, why? Trump has been constantly demonizing her and calling for her deportation and all kinds of nasty things. Surely one of Trump’s more deranged supporters took the rhetoric to heart and acted on it. Ironically it’s exactly what Turley talks about constantly in his “book”.

Of course he won’t condemn the rhetoric coming out of Trump’s mouth as “feeding the rage” that Turley is so focused on these days.

          2. John Say
Pretty sure that obstruction of a federal officer in his duties is a federal crime also. She should receive same level of enforcement action against the attacker as the “rioters” in her district get.

        2. She lied on legal forms regarding her “husband’s” status. She arrived here impoverished? She was never married to her brother.

    2. >> But historically presidents have tried to stay civil when naming opponents they don’t appreciate. <<

Right. President Biden tried really hard to be civil before he called Trump supporters "garbage".

      1. I recall the civility that GW Bush was treated to by the Dems. Mild by comparison to the Trump treatment but still despicable. There was also the slander campaigns against SCOTUS justices Thomas, Alito and Kavanaugh and others. Dems dropped civility along with reasoned debate from their playbook decades ago.

    3. If the attack on Omar is real – it should be thoroughly prosecuted – but there are now several claims that it was staged.
If so she should be booted from Congress.

As to “staying civil” – All Trump is doing is what those of you on the left do all the time.
In Turley’s article here we have a State AG candidate threatening capital punishment of a political enemy without even being able to articulate a crime.

Absolutely there are versions of this on the right – though not from Political candidates.

Regardless, there is nothing Trump is doing or saying that Biden or Obama did not do before hand.

And frankly if those of you on the left wish to rant about fascists, Nazi’s himmler, hitler and genocide when it is YOU that wish to imprison your enemies without even identifying a crime. It is YOU that re trying to undermine the rule of law.

Then you do not get to mopan when Trump makes negative references to Omar – who really is a pretty revolting person who desrves to get booed wherever she goes.

      1. Women, illegal aliens, the impoverished, Hollywood stars, people of color, are privileged. We must honor them first and foremost. They are oppressed, treated terribly, despised and the objects of the fury of white supremacists, unless you are a progressive whitie.

    4. Anon
Jeezus you have no shame! First you attack the President as a Nazi, a KKK Grand Wizard for having law enforcement officers carry out their enforcement duties. Then 🤮 you jump over to support the Somalian POS fraudster Ilhan Omar. Please, keep them coming, you’re the best Republican vote rallying tool on the internet!’

      1. It’s true. They don’t believe that, but it’s true. The biggest advantage conservatives enjoy over all others is their hatred for the media. As long as the Big Media don’t report the news fairly, the libs are through.

  13. I have an urgent message for all my supporters. My neighbor accused me of harboring an illegal. There are 3,000 armed Paratroopers and 75 Marines breaking down my side door right now. Machine guns are firing. Tanks are pummeling my house. My illegal alien is being quartered. HELP ME!!!

    1. Hillary, “you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? [Laughter/applause]. The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic — you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up. He has given voice to their websites that used to only have 11,000 people, now have 11 million. He tweets and retweets offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric. Now some of those folks, they are irredeemable

      1. What Hillary meant by deplorables was she was alluding to all those pesky white folks that don’t follow the “Clinton “ sell out your country mantra. The percentage was much higher in the past but the Chicom flu killed quite a few of the older ones that understood totalitarianism, the Dem governor soldiers did their duty. Then the remaining proportional percentage was offset by importing large numbers of specific ethnic groups that could be bought off via taxpayer funded scams to vote Democrat. Remember LBJs famous quote, after the Civiil Rights Act passed, We’ll have these N——-s voting for us for the next 50 years. I think alot of the folk figured it out so the Democrats had to shift to Muslims and straight out Communists to fill their voter needs in question for lustful power. Keep your eye on Fulton county, I believe the proof of 2020 election fraud may be forthcoming.

        1. We have enough data today to say the election remains with significant doubt and that significant fraud occurred. As you say, the proof of the 2020 election is coming.

And Hunter Biden’s laptop was his not a Russian plant.

          1. Hello Seth
I’m thinking that the DOJ has a substantial stack of indictments ready to go ahead of the midterms. Political theater necessitates the timing of this. The American people need this to happen, to unquestionably evidence and prove the Democrats and their cronies treasonous treachery in 2020. It has to happen in an attempt to restore belief in our elections, their country and in our government. Irrefutable proof with explicit evidence of the depth of the multi headed hydra election fraud that was orchestrated and perpetrated against America. The silence from the Obamas and the skipping out of the Clintons is a flare in the night that the jig is up.

  14. If it was to support a mobocracy, he would not be running for office. He wants the justice system to work as intended and he is not asking a mob to do it for him.

Trump calling a mob to the Capitol and telling them “Fight like hell or you won’t have a country anymore” is a mobocracy.

Trump saying, of a pro-Nazi demonstration, that “there are good people on both sides” is supporting a mobocracy.

    1. Trump was not speaking of the torchlight parade (“Jews! Will not! Replace us!”) but of the rally the next day. The issue was the removal of statues and the renaming of parks.
People who opposed the changes held the rally, while people who favored the changes staged an unpermitted protest. Trump discussed this in an interview before concluding there were good people on both sides.

  15. I can see the progression:

    The old wave of hate:
Obama: people who don’t vote for me are bitter clingers, clinging to their guns and backwards religious beliefs.
Hillary: people who don’t vote for me are deplorables, despicable redneck ignoramuses who don’t deserve any respect.
Biden: people who don’t vote for me are ultra-MAGA semi-fascists, and I might use F-16 fighter jets on them

    The new wave of hate:
Kill Charlie Kirk, we’ll all celebrate joyously by the tens of thousands on social media
Kill my opponent and his children in the race for Virginia AG
Kill my ideological opponent, President Trump, because I hate him so much
    Kill Justice Kavanaugh because abortion

But if anyone even so much as suggests criminal illegal aliens should be detained and deported, especially if they’re members of violent gangs, child rapists, murderers, or child sex traffickers – OMG the world is coming to an end! How can politicians talk that way?!

    1. Hillary: half of Trump supporters are in the basket of deplorables.

Sounds like you are climbing into that basket and forgetting to accurately quote those you dislike, which is also deplorable.

      1. Seriously, that’s your counter-argument? Do you even hear yourself? She said 35 million voters are deplorable instead of 70 million? And you think that is a meaningful difference that somehow disproves my point? Wow.

  16. I’d like to apologize. When law enforcement directs me to get back, or to stop my car, or remove myself from an in progress police undertaking, I obey, quickly, immediately. So far they have only shot me 27 times.
