Judge Ada Brown of the Northern District of Texas has been suspended pending psychiatric testing and the resolution of a bar complaint after a bizarre hearing in April 2026. In the hearing, Brown, a Trump appointee, went on a racial diatribe against a lawyer, Ezra Young, over his race. Young was accused of being White. When Young informed her that he is Hispanic, Judge Brown went on to say that he is “white-presenting” in continuing her racial browbeating.
Judge Brown was also accused of abandoning her work, but the hearing has caused the most chatter among lawyers.
Young filed a complaint against Brown following the hearing in Dallas. In the hearing, Brown, a Black woman with Native American ancestry, accused Young of mistreating Black attorneys. She barred Young from practicing in her courtroom after an unhinged tongue-lashing.
It appears Young, a Columbia Law School graduate and solo practitioner, has had previous run-ins with Judge Brown. At the hearing, Brown accused Young of “racial bullying” toward Black attorneys in the case.
Judge Brown apparently had an axe to grind over an article that appeared in an earlier case involving a black professor. Brown referenced an article that quoted a brief filed by Young that referenced another law professor apparently comparing what happened in the tenure denial to a “lynching.”
She accused Young of making up the quote to “get a headline”: “And so when I read a headline — a sensationalized, very racialized headline that says, ‘it’s like I’ve been lynched,’ and it’s literally got no connection to this case, I have to ask you, Mr. Social Media, Main Character Chad, White Hero, Savior, Loves to Help Black People Be An Ally, where the lynching in this case came from?”
According to the transcript, she observed, “I think what’s happening here, quite candidly, is you are very intimidated for some reason, Mr. Young, with Black excellence, in light of your White mediocrity. Yeah. Right?… You should write that down. I mean, you — I’m — you look like a White man, right?”
Young tried to stop the unfolding disaster: “I’m not White, Your Honor.”
Judge Brown snapped back, “Well, you are White-presenting; is that fair to say?” She added that he is “fair-skinned” and evidenced “White privilege”: “You’re the White savior, come to save all the stupid Black lawyers in Texas who need your help, from New York.”
Judge Brown is reportedly suffering from a “mental condition that interferes with her ability to perform the responsibilities of her office.”
It is likely the sad end to a distinguished career. Brown graduated magna cum laude from Spelman College in 1996, then earned a law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1999 and later a Master of Laws from Duke University School of Law.
Once again, DEI rears its ugly head; (Diversity, equity, and inclusion.)
Whatever the diagnosis of the judges mental state turns out to be, I would say from personal observation that it is widespread amongst the judiciary. Typically it’s found in Obama and Biden appointments. It may be related to TDS which has afflicted a significant portion of the population more so than Covid. Whoever put this person before Trump for nomination to the court owes him and the people of TX an apology.
She was appointed by President Trump. Unfortunately all Presidents can’t know every appointee, have committees that review judges and recommend them. It looks like President Trump’s own people are out to sabotage him with such an ignorant crazy recommendation. One wonders her history and why no Republican Senator challenged he appointment? The woman is obviously unhinged and a racist to boot. Hopefully she is removed from the bench, just like the judge in Wisconsin that helped a criminal escape justice. We have way to many lunatics on the bench and impeachment is seldom and option because the crazy Democrats align with crazy judges. Crazy loves crazy.
“It looks like President Trump’s own people are out to sabotage him with such an ignorant crazy recommendation.”
While the wokist, leftist, Deep State dynamic is inextricably embedded in the Democratic Party, the GOP is also far too susceptible. Trumps’ first term was almost completely sabotaged by this issue, his second term has been considerably better in that regard, but not immune, and the destructive effects are again surfacing. Apparently it is nearly impossible to find administrators with demonstrated competence to run Federal departments who are not infected at some level by the DC Deep State plague. I am pessimistic about a solution. If voters put Democrats back in power, as many (including me) have warned, they will immediately move to pack SCOTUS with young Marxists, and thereby ensure their ultimate control of all three branches of FedGov for decades, even if they should at some point after that lose Congress and/or the Presidency. So we should vote to retain Republican control, right? Sadly, while I intend to do so, that would only be a first, baby step toward a true solution to the dissolution of the American Dream; a lot of subsequent effort would be required to purge the GOP of its own Deep State advocates, or support and elect candidates who have loyalty to neither Republican or Democrat organizations and who show unwavering support for individual Liberty as ensconced in the Constitution, and US voters have an extremely long record demonstrating their chronic inability to stay focused on governmental issues for more than a single election cycle: i.e., that ain’t gonna happen. I hate being a doom and gloom prognosticator, but that is what I see ahead.
On a related note vis a vis US Supreme Court and Federal Judges,
It appears Poland’s left wing Prime Minister Donald Tusk (BFF of Barack Obama) has been removed by force the President of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, Bogdan Święczkowski. The President of Poland (and the opposing party of the PM), Karol Nawrocki, was traveling to Senegal which prompted Poland’s PM Tusk to commit the coup and remove Święczkowski. But now President Nawrocki has turned around mid-flight to return to Poland to address the coup by PM Tusk.
PM Tusk may have violated Poland’s Constitution in forcibly removing the President of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, which brings to mind the DSA/Democrats of the United States.
Poland’s struggle with left wing Communists is well documented. The European Union supports Poland’s Left wing PM but does not support President Nawrocki. Not surprisingly the Legacy Media is already defending the coup, which tells us who the real enemy of the people of Poland is. Per the AP:
WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Police secured Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal on Friday as dozens of protesters gathered to demonstrate against what they perceive as the wrongful suspension of the top court’s president by the current pro-European government.
Like the United States, Poland’s courts are a separate power and an independent branch within the Polish government (Article 173). There is an important distinction here:
The Supreme Court of Poland is a separate body from the Constitutional Tribunal, and its powers are limited to ordinary and military courts. (Article 183). Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal handles matters related to the conformity of statutes and the Constitution (Article 188).
Of note, the Polish Constitution states:
Article 180
Judges shall not be removable.
Recall of a judge from office, suspension from office, removal to another bench or position against his will, may only occur by virtue of a court judgment and only in those instances prescribed in statute.
Article 190
Judgments of the Constitutional Tribunal shall be of universally binding application and shall be final.
Article 193
Any court may refer a question of law to the Constitutional Tribunal as to the conformity of a normative act to the Constitution, ratified international agreements or statute, if the answer to such question of law will determine an issue currently before such court.
Thus PM Tusk violated the Constitution, Article 180. Theoretically the Supreme Court can adjudicate whether PM Tusk committed a crime.
Warsaw is in turmoil, police are securing the Constitutional Tribunal and prohibiting people from protesting the removal of the President of the Constitutional Tribunal Święczkowski. Interestingly a Polish judge, Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, who claims to be part of the Constitutional Tribunal but has been denounced by the Constitutional Tribunal as being illegitimately appointed, orchestrated the coup with the help of PM Tusk.
TL;DR: what happens in Poland may be a preface of what is going to happen in the United States.
Democrats have told us repeatedly “by any means necessary”. Americans need to take note.
Typo:
It appears Poland’s left wing Prime Minister Donald Tusk (BFF of Barack Obama) has
beenremoved by force the President of Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal, Bogdan Święczkowski.Tusk removed the President of the Constitutional Tribunal. Tusk is still PM
Typical collection of half-truths and outright lies by Estovir.
The actual situation is as follows.
In Poland judges are appointed to the Constitutional Tribunal by a majority vote of parliament. There are 5 vacancies on the Tribunal. Parliament has appointed judges to fill the vacancies. The President of the tribunal, Święczkowski, an extreme right wing nationalist, has refused to swear in the 5 judges appointed by parliament.
Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska issued an order suspending Święczkowski for one month for failing to perform his required duty to swear in the new judges. Święczkowski was not removed by Tusk. This is not a coup by Tusk. The removal of Święczkowski was pursuant to a lawful court order because he failed to perform his constitutional duty. The Polish constitution gives the parliament the power to appoint judges. Once appointed, they MUST be sworn in.
If there is any coup here, it is instigated by Święczkowski, who has taken it upon himself to unilaterally subvert the Polish Constitution and the duly elected parliament.
Yours is a spectacularly superficial (and false) analysis of the conflict.
Here are just some of the important questions you either don’t know or are evading:
What is the Polish president’s constitutional authority in the appointment of judges to the Constitutional Tribunal?
On what grounds can a president refuse to swear in a new judge? Has that ever happened in the past?
Who has the constitutional authority to name the president and vice-president of the Constitutional Tribunal? Who has the authority to suspend or remove them, and on what grounds?
“The removal of Święczkowski was pursuant to a lawful court order . . .”
That is insanely false. There was no “court order.” There was a decree, by one person.
The President and Vice-President of the Tribunal were suspended (with an attempt to remove them) by a single judge: Anna Korwin-Piotrowska. She was just appointment, and her appointment might be unconstitutional. She, a lower-level “judge”, and she alone, decreed the suspension of the President and Vice-President of the Constitutional Tribunal.
She then, by her singular decree, appointed herself as President of the Constitutional Tribunal. (That, alone, is clearly a violation of Poland’s Constitution.)
She suspended the Tribunal’s two senior judges, then anointed herself “President” — with Polish police waiting in the wings.
That is called an armed coup.
Estovir provided the exact verbiage and linked to the Polish Constitution. The lying troll pulled his comments out of his arse which is to say it was horse shit. typical leftist propaganda
This Estovir character claims to be a devout Catholic, and as you point out he is shamelessly lying about these events in Poland.
I believe his religion has a thing or two to say about lying, and bearing false witness. Am I correct?
Still, I guess he takes comfort in the fact that he can go to confession and be absolved of this sin of lying. So basically, he feels free to lie as much as he wants to here and elsewhere without fear of eternal damnation. What a wonderfully hypocritical way to live a life. And what a wonderfully hypocritical religion. I guess that this is why Catholic priests feel free to molest little boys. They believe that ultimately they will be forgiven, and everything will be hunky dory.
What a disgustingly shameless and shameful religion and way of life.
excellent summary. Thank you 🙏

She was roasting Chad Young. She doesn’t like him. It happens.
She referred to him as Chad and explained a Chad is a male Karen.
This is, indeed
Judge Brown is
She should immediately–and with all the dignity and respect due her office and her past, honorable career–be removed from office and helped to find the medical assistance that she desperately needs.
There is no shame to having fallen prey to mental illness at an advanced age–or any age, for that matter.
Best of luck, Judge Brown.
She roasted him and in her papers said she might have been more careful or some such thing. She was simply mirroring what Young does as a constant whiner imo.
being racist is a mental condition now?
The biological bipeds of identical plumages are gregarious.
It is not possible for a natural and God-given law to be criminalized.
Ergo,
Birds of a feather flock together.
What is natural cannot be a crime.
Shaddup, Chad.
Racism is actually baked into the genes, marc. Laws combat instinct, big duh. Some behavior is baked in by 100s of thousands of years by geography and climate type. Equatorial types are very different from frozen tundra types depending upon the original genetics, another mind-blowing revelation huh?
Identity politics, don’t you just love it.
In re frontotemporal dementia, the median age of onset is around 58. There’s a subtype for whom the median age of onset is around 50. The judge in question is 52. Personality changes rather than memory loss are the modal manifestation.
x (the good one),
I was thinking about something along the same lines. Is this a pattern of behavioral changes? Does she have a family history of some kind of mental illness? Could it be a brain tumor? I do not think there is enough information to make any kind of informed judgement.
Where is your bot farm?
Dunno. I have a cousin whose husband turned up with it at the age of 64. I seem to recall her comment was that she’d been married to one man for 42 years and then this stranger appeared. She did not tell us what was going on until she had to beg off on a family event; she didn’t think she could bring her husband along or leave him at home. She thought it would be a long haul with him but he died about a year and a half after she first noticed something amiss.

You’ve heard of a couple of cases recently among public figures – Bruce Willis and the talk show host Wendy Williams. Willis was about 56 when he switched to doing assembly line direct-to-video work, though it was another dozen years before his family announced what had been ailing him. Williams was 58 when her show was taken off the air.
Upstate,
I imagine that racism that profound has been a part of her core for a long while, but with power and possibly increasing mental illness she is expressing it more openly. Whatever, like so many of the Autopen judges, she should not be in a courtroom.
If she remains on the bench I shouldn’t be surprised if some lawyers discretely led her into other outbursts of the same nature.
@x–
I’m no physician, but based on personal observations, I think that you are exactly right.
A few years ago, a colleague and dear friend of mine–a truly brilliant engineer–fell prey to early onset dementia at the age of 57. He did, indeed, display significant personality changes, but perhaps the very saddest thing was that my friend was somewhat aware of what was happening to him, recognizing his loss of important memories, names of people whom he had long been friends, and his inability to recall words that once were formerly part of his tremendous vocabulary. He spent a great deal of time stumblingly apologizing for these imagined “shortcomings.”
Mercifully, he was only in a “memory care” facility for a couple of years before he passed away.
At the age of 76, this is my greatest fear: to succumb to Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia. Better to be struck by lightning, run over by a car, or like my father, to die in my sleep from a massive heart attack while still in full retention of his faculties.
This getting old sure ain’t for sissies.
It is likely the sad end to a distinguished career. Brown graduated magna cum laude from Spelman College in 1996, then earned a law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1999 and later a Master of Laws from Duke University School of Law.

She was admitted to the Texas Bar a year after completing law school. That suggests she failed the bar exam or skipped it when it was held in mid-1999. The situation varies from one state to another, but about 2/3 of those who take the bar exam pass it on their 1st attempt. Her squib on the Texas Bar register lists 15 different practice areas. Curious as she was only in private practice for a brief period between stints as a government lawyer.
==
Her patron over the years was Gov. Rick Perry.
Bar admission could have been delayed by waiting to see if you passed the exam on the first try before proceeding with the Bar application process.
Is it just me or does everyone have to have their comments approved before being posted?
Marxists are screened, but if their comments provoke a high threshold of pity within the screener, they are more likely to get posted. If they suck at basic math skills like percentages and fractions, they get to the head of the queue.

If you didn’t know any better, you’d think that Professor Turley had no acquaintance with schools of law, or the antiversity in general, when in fact he’s been a law professor for many years. (I alternate between admiration for, and exasperation with this man!) Ada Brown is a black supremacist. Her “credentials” are meaningless, because she was given race, sex, and political-based honors and titles in inverse relationship to her intellect and character.
When I taught college (1992-1998), I was surrounded by people like Ada Brown, and many of them were white. Newsrooms have for generations been dominated by her ilk. Even the most respected police forces (e.g., NYCPD) were long ago taken over by black supremacists, reconquistas, militant homosexualists, racial socialists, and those who cater to them.
Naturalization Acts of 1790, 1795, 1798, 1802 (four iterations for maximal clarity)
United States Congress, “An act to establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization,” March 26, 1790

This woman had a difficult time with liberty. She can beathe freely and her contempt is on display.

Trump appointee? DJT is getting lousy advice on appointments. E.g. Barrett.
She said she didn’t know she was signing into death threats and Kevlar recently with Kagan before congress requesting 14 million for increased security. (Paraphrased).
That’s an apology for the Barbara opinion no doubt. Read the 2st paragraph of Alito’s dissent, Mike.

“Suffering from a mental condition”, the article says? Well, rule out post-partum depression. How about menopause? What a closeted racist bigot have we here.
She may have been dripping sarcasm and was at her wit’s end. Perhaps she’s a target because she’s a Trump appointee. The psychs will prescribe a vacation.
Highly likely.
It sounds like this is getting misreported in a lot of places.
Here’s a long thread at Legal Insurrection with a lot of relevant details. Basically this exchange was likely intended to be sarcastic to the attorney (and was probably out of line for a Federal judge) but claims she’s a DEI-crazed Democrat are equally in error.

OT;
Pope Leo voted for a candidate in the midterms. That’s wild. He’s a sovereign leader who also happens to be a U.S. citizen.
Check out Mardi Gras in Rio de Janeiro. Christianity is headed your way. 😂
She’s a Trump appointee alright. Likely appointed by Trump personally, not by the regular appointing organization like the FEDSOC or the Heritage foundation. She’s as unhinged as Trump. Makes total sense. Because he only hires the best.
You are a fool and don’t know what you are talking about with your Trump diatribe. The judge had a very good reputation, was also on the Texas Court of Appeals, 5th Court in Dallas. The opinion here in Texas is that she has begun to suffer some sort of psychiatric issues.
Like Trump. So… same same.
Like X!
That is not psychiatric issues. That is political strategy. You fools bring up the Trump health thing every few months only for you to be proven wrong time and time again.
Trump is getting more senile by the day. He’s becoming….Biden-like.
He won’t last the second half of his term. Not when he’s going to spend most of the time fighting a New Democrat majority in Congress.
What fight he will just veto everything.
Sure, he’ll veto everything. But that will just make it easier for a Democrat president to be voted in his place when the time comes. Trump will be a true lame duck president.
Not as senile as X
You said the same thing a few months ago. You were wrong then too.
Yes I did. You know Trump’s term isn’t over, right. He’s got two more years to go. That’s a LONG time for something to happen to an octogenarian president with clear health issues. Especially one particularly fond of fast food diets.
your problem, X, is that you are NOT a lawyer and that you believe everything you read on AI or Google is fact. THen you present it as fact. This is the best example of your de facto intelligence level.
It’s more than you present as intelligence.
I am getting a little Trump fatigue. But Biden -like. Hardly.
GSX, you call Trump senile. Why? You call Turley ignorant. Why? That is talk from a stupid fellow trying to look smart.
Why you ask? Because it’s true. You only have to observe to see it. Trump proves it every day. You choose to ignore it because it’s painful to admit it. Calling me names won’t change that.
You are just proving yourself stupid. Instead of empty rhetoric, provide facts.
S. Meyer,
You’re hilarious. I provided facts. Your denial of them doesn’t make them untrue.
Trump’s health is failing. It’s only a matter of time before he no longer functions. Like I said, calling me names won’t change the facts.
GSX, to a dummy, “You only have to observe to see it” is a fact. Do I need to remind you what you said about Iran, and then deny saying it, even when challenged? I had to copy two of your lies saying it before you ran away. Did you admit it even then? No, you are indeed a classless reprobate.
“Trump is getting more senile by the day. He’s becoming….Biden-like.”
If you truly wanted to have some credibility here, you would go back and show some posts where you acknowledged Biden’s senility going into the November. 2024 election. Unfortunately for you, there are no such posts, at the time you were busily defending his mental state. You are nothing more than a worthless, strident shill.
One difference is that the Dual Israeli citizen Sharon Adelson gave Trump a quarter of a billion dollars and Trump repaid her by attacking Iran which causes the unchecked insane unreported current inflation i e insane Fuel and food prices
aab: What foolish talk. You must think there is only one grain of sand on the beach.
Not at all.
But I do know that there is only one functional neuron between your ears.
Keep thinking it’s the Jews that cause the world to turn.
Uh, oh!
Looks like that one functional neuron just died.
What are you going to do now?
You keep demonstrating your lack of intellect. There is no substance to your comments.
I guess Media Matters has sent up the bat signal
Aside from a history of past runins with Young – do you have evidence that this is something other than a recently developed mental health issue ?
Maybe she has a history of being racist-but lets actually present that first.
Her conduct is unacceptable-but that is true of Judge Enmoron and Judge Merchan and numerous other left wing judges.
As I have said before – a judges control over the defendant and councel ends at the courtroom door.
Anything else is aviolation of free speech.
You can not takeaway someones rights merely by making an accusation that gets you into a court.
It is usually a bad strategy to reach this level of conflict with a judge.
But that is a decision that the lawyer and their client must make.
I could personally careless about the racial aspects of this.
It does not matter why Brown and Young are in conflict.
Remarks outside the courtroom are not the judges business.
Inside it is the Judge that may not allow that conflict to create the appearance of injustice.
Regardless there is nothing hereto distinguish Brown vs. Young from Enmoron or Merchan vs. trump
The judge is expected to not only be but appear impartial – the defendant and their lawyer are not.
John Say, wrong as usual.
Your claim that a judge’s control ends at the courtroom door is explicitly contradicted by decades of constitutional precedent.
Under the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Gentile v. State Bar of Nevada (1991), the judiciary possesses the inherent authority to regulate the extrajudicial (out-of-court) speech of attorneys. If an attorney’s public statements create a “substantial likelihood of material prejudice” to a case, a judge has the absolute right to issue gag orders, impose sanctions, or initiate disciplinary actions. The law does not grant lawyers a free pass to sabotage a proceeding the moment they touch the sidewalk outside.
A criminal or civil defendant is a private citizen. When they criticize a judge, they are exercising core political speech under the First Amendment, which affords them wide latitude.
An attorney is a licensed officer of the court. By accepting a law license, an attorney explicitly surrenders the right to engage in unrestricted public speech that degrades the administration of justice.
Under ABA Model Rule 8.4—which is codified in virtually every state jurisdiction—it is formal professional misconduct for a lawyer to engage in harassment, discrimination, or conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice. This rule applies 24/7, inside or outside the courtroom. If an attorney engages in targeted harassment or racist conduct in public, it is absolutely the judge’s business, and it is a directly sanctionable offense.
GSX, I hope you thanked AI for its hidden signals as well.
Hidden signals? I hope you learned that the post is also…not wrong.
I see, you are admitting that it was AI. Congratulations on telling the truth. This is one of the first truths to escape your lips.
S. Meyer, I never denied using it. The truth is you’re not saying what I posted is wrong.
We know it is AI’s voice, not yours. You denied it in the past and recently said, “prove it.” That statement doesn’t prove you a liar like so many others, but it proves you are slippery.
You would be more convincing if your attacks on brown were consistent with your arguments on Judge Enmoron or Judge Merchan.
John Say, you would be more convincing if you understood how the rules apply. Clearly you do not.
Judges Engoron and Merchan did exactly what they are supposed to do. They followed the law and court rules. Trump judge Brown was literally losing her mind in real time in a court session.
You’d be more convincing if you weren’t serving up AI slop.
That’s not AI slop. That’s what facts look like. Denial won’t make them any less so.
AI slop.
Prove it.
You just admitted it, fool.
LOL! No. You don’t understand the difference. AI slop and actual facts. Prove the facts posted are wrong.
GSX, I didn’t notice the truth within the words. I would have to look closely because a couple of times you posted AI that disagreed with your point, and you didn’t recognize it. Other times, your AI was off-topic or intentionally slanted and not truthful regarding the context of the discussion. AI will say what a person wants, and when a few words are changed, it can be a complete lie.
AI can make many people look smart, but you look dumb because of your lies.
Her behavior is qualitatively indistinguishable from nearly any professor in my law school.
Or any modern college professor.
Or any lawyer at any one of Washington DC’s “top” law firms.
They think they’re so clever. They’re not. They’re bigots. Plain and simple.
I’ve absolutely never seen a faculty member behave this way.
