Many noted that the reason that he might think so is the execution of gays who are discovered by his government. Now, a high ranking minister admitted that in Iran gays must be tortured or killed or both under Islamic law.
The statements of Mohsen Yahyavi came at a meeting between British and Iranian MPs at the Inter-Parliamentary Union, a peace body, in May. Recently in June , in another show of Iranian faith-based justice, a woman was hanged in the town of Gorgan after becoming pregnant by her brother. Her brother was absolved after expressing his remorse.
