Police Seek the Kansas City Casanova in Latest Lonely Heart Crime

Police in Kansas City, Mo., are looking for Jerome S. Sternlieb, 74. While he has adopted the identities of Michael Salerno, Kane, Lanelli, Roberts and Warren, he is known by police as “Casanova,” a man who woes elderly women and then takes their money and runs.

While Sternlieb says that he spent his life in the law as a lawyer, he is only partially correct. He is an ex-con who escaped from a halfway house in In Kansas City.

His signature is to spend the night and then disappear in the morning with cars and cash. He has used on-line dating services to arrange meetings.

The solution is quite simple in my view. The Court should serve as an off-line dating service and arrange dates for Sternlieb with Helen Golay, 77, and Olga Rutterschmidt, 75, or Betty Neumar, 76, — problem solved.

It seems to me that this “person” – Jerome Sternlieb is someone I dated in New York and who robbed me of money – not much, but I felt like a fool.

This dates back to 1970 in New York City where I met him – He said at the time that he was in the “movie business” –

At any rate, this picture looks a lot like he would look at his age now.

Just want to know for SURE if he ever lived in New York.
