Tourist Trap: Tiger vs. Man and Elephant

tn_th_tiger31.jpg               In our expanding video library of large cats in action, this video is simply astonishing. It shows an attack by a tiger of a man on elephant in India. What is clear is that nature tourism in India is not subject to the same tort liability rules as in the United States.

I am told that the man survived but may have lost some fingers. Given this video, that is a happy ending.

This full video shows more of the pre-attack scene as tourists move to get a better view.

Thus far, the lions are certainly more affectionate in our video collection, click here as opposed to tigers, click here

Notably, even with waivers, it is doubtful that this type of conduct would pass muster under common law principles. It is remarkably similar to enticing tourists to swim with sharks after chumming the water, click here.

  1. Sorry eoeoe…

“Aging hippies, disdain for our soldiers, using Abu Ghraib to hurt our soldiers…”

You really are an innocent aren’t you? That’s not a morally bad thing…it just makes conversation over that gulf very difficult.

I would still like to see the real you, the one without the slogans and a presumably decent guy.

Forget about Abu Ghraib for a moment:

That was pretty much a straight party-line vote. Moral compass?

  2. Obama is shocked, simply shocked by Hamas op-ed in his church’s newspaper

By Israel Insider staff March 23, 2008

Sen. Barack Obama says that a pro-Hamas op-ed printed in his church’s bulletin was “outrageously wrong.” In an issue dated July 22, 2007, in a section titled “Pastor’s Page,” the Trinity United Church in Chicago reprinted an article by Hamas official Moussa Abu Marzook. The article, which originally appeared as an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times, justifies the Palestinian terrorist group’s denial of Israel’s right to exist.

  3. DEEPLY:

Give the abu ghraib stories a break for God’s sake. They don’t represent our sons & daughters in the service, they represent the .1% of our soldiers, kind of like your Spitzer…

I find it disturbing that you other 1 percenters of America chose to ride the coat tails of an event that portrays American soldiers so terribly all for a single purpose: to cause further harm to our soldiers in Iraq so we are further pushed to abandon those people.

You should be ashamed, but you won’t be because your thought process is the same process of the aging hippies that raised you with such a distain for our soldiers.

  4. “the Republican Party has 1,000% the moral compass…”

    Eoeoeo..

    You are an innocent.

There is a heart of darkness you have not seen, not yet journeyed to… Your partisanship is at the level of the shopping malls, the grain elevators, the neighborhood church. You are a partisan for an entity, the true dimensions of which you do not know, or do not wish to know.

And your words are so very wrong, innocent though they may be.

    Educate yourself. Please.

    Start here:

Now I suppose you will have a “so what” reaction.

Now do this: imagine the roles reversed that are described and it is your neighbors and countrymen being treated so by those who you despise. What do you feel? Blinding anger and the desire to kill?

    Yes.

But this is just the outer garden of an estate that stretches out of sight under black trees.

Don’t speak so lightly, so innocently of moral compasses.

  5. It never dawns on Deeply Worried that the Republican Party has 1,000% the moral compass and judgement of the party of 100 factions (the Democratic party).

I am just astonished that a few adults in America still think with the experience and judgement that they had when they were 15 – and run and pull that lever for the feel good party – the Democratic party.

  6. Easter and oppo research never ends.

The odious Washington Times, a mouthpiece of the Rev Moon organization (he who was crowned and robed in a U.S Senate building office!)

and a reliable ally of the Republican party along with the detestable Fox News (as close a thing to a totally corrupt news network we have ever seen,) was leaked this story. Who leaked and why?

    Here are the probabilities

Curiosity on the employee’s part unrelated to any instructions “from above” at least from Obama:

    95%

Brennan himself is a Republican “mole” in the Obama organization and this is a classic CIA discreditation operation:

5% (but I am unsure of this number)

Obama directed Brennan who directed the employee:

    0%

They are getting desperate, are our friends in the Handbasket Party.

  7. the CEO of a company whose employee is accused of improperly looking at the passport files of presidential candidates is a consultant to the Barack Obama campaign, a source said Saturday.

John O. Brennan, president and CEO of the Analysis Corp., advises the Illinois Democrat on foreign policy and intelligence issues, the source said.

Brennan briefed the media on behalf of the campaign this month.

The executive is a former senior CIA official and former interim director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

He contributed $2,300 to the Obama campaign in January.

When asked about the contribution, a State Department official told CNN’s Zain Verjee, “We ethically awarded contracts. Political affiliation is not one of the factors that we check.”

On Friday, the department revealed that Obama’s passport file was improperly accessed three times this year, and the security of passport files of the two other major presidential candidates — Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican John McCain — had also been breached.
