The transcript below is quite chilling. Yet, Chief Larry Massey said that the dispatcher did “fine.”

Plantation police spokesman Phil Toman said “As far as I’ve heard, she did fine.”

The fact is that there may not have been much that they could have done, but there was certainly a lot of useless interjections in the exchange.
For example, continuing to ask “How do you know him?” seems a bit stupid when she is screaming that she needs to be intercepted as soon as possible.

I feel for Olidia’s three children, Olidia’s mom, Olidia’s dad (if he was alive when his beloved daughter was shot and killed) and Olidia’s sisters. Does anyone know how Olidia’s ex-husbands took the news of her terrible murder? Was Olidia communicating with any of her ex-husbands? I hope one of those men was the love of her life.
Unfortunately, all this fingerpointing isn’t going to bring Olidia back to life on earth. The only good to come from this tragedy is to change the way dispatchers respond to a call like this. Put yourself in the caller’s shoes! You wouldn’t remember where the police station is when a crazy man is following you with a loaded gun ready to kill you. So once you hear that the caller is looking for your police station to find safety from your local police officers then you should automatically have police officers at the police station the caller is trying to get to aware that there is an armed abduction in progress and have them ready outside the gate to the police station ready to shoot the abductor driving behind the victim. TAKE A CALL LIKE THAT WITH URGENCY ON YOUR PART AS A DISPATCHER! SAVING A LIFE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS WELL AS POLICE OFFICERS’ RESPONSIBILITY AND FIRE FIGHTERS’ RESPONSIBILITY AND PARAMEDICS’ RESPONSIBILITY AND DOCTORS’ RESPONSIBILITY. You should change careers if you can not handle the responsibility of your job.
I don’t believe in suing the police station for this terrible tragedy. I believe firing the supervisor was sufficient. Suing the police station isn’t going to bring Olidia back but it’s definitely going to raise city taxes and that’s a burden no taxpayer can handle right now. Hard-working people can’t afford to have their taxes raised. LET GO OF YOUR ANGER OLIDIA’S FAMILY! GOD WILL GET BACK AT THOSE WHO HAVE DONE WRONG IN THIS SITUATION AND EVERY OTHER SITUATION IN THIS WORLD. OLIDIA IS VERY HAPPY IN HEAVEN WITH GOD. SHE’LL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU IN SPIRIT AND WATCHES EVERY HAPPY OCCASION BECAUSE IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO SADNESS.
Just because Olidia knew where the Plantation Police Department was prior to an extremely obsessed crazed man going into her house with a gun and then following her in her car with a car ready to kill her just because she didn’t want to be in a relationship with him doesn’t mean Olidia would be able to remember where that police station was when she has a very obsessed insane man ready to shoot her dead. Honestly, would any of us remember where our neighborhood police station was as soon as a very mentally sick individual obsessed with us carrying a gun goes into our home and then follows us in our car ready to kill us? No way! We’d go blank mentally because our lives are in jeopardy due to an extremely obsessed crazed man following us with a gun ready to kill us. The Plantation Police Station dispatcher and her supervisor should’ve realized that Olidia was not far from the Plantation Poliice Department and to have the police officers at the same police station they were at to be armed and patiently waiting in their vehicles at the gate of Plantation Police Station for the crazed man following Olivia in her Honda vehicle.
