Charles Manson at 74: Still Not POPS Qualified

t1homemansoncorcoran150px-charles-mansonbookingphotoThe Corcoran State Prison in California has given the world a glimpse of Charles Manson at 74. As the founder and director of the Project for Older Prisoners (POPS), I want to reaffirm that he is not viewed as a good POPS candidate.

Manson’s next parole date is 2010. He did not show up for his last hearing in 2007.

While we review prisoners 55 and older, Manson would fall outside of our other criteria on recidivism and mental stability.

  1. I am glad that Old Charlie is staying right where he belongs. That was a horrific crime spree and the hold he had on his followers was creepy.
