Former California police officer Feliciano Sanchez has pleaded guilty to deprivation of right under the color of law in a case where he forced a motorist to perform an act of oral sex after pulling her over on a highway.
Sanchez, 34, admitted that on, May 16, 2007, he pulled over a female driver in a traffic stop after seeing her speeding or weaving on the road. She did not have her license with her and Sanchez offered to drive her to her work — but instead took her to a parking lot and sexually assaulted her. He could be sentenced to 10 years in jail. What is strange, however, is the lack of state criminal charges — where he would be treated as a sex offender. This would usually be treated as a state offense.

Does anyone really believe that there was only one woman who this creep assaulted? Does anyone really believe that this was the first and only time that he did something? My guess is that he’s done it many times before and gotten away with it.

I wish there was more information on this case. For instance, if it was her word against his, how on earth did she prevail? Wouldn’t she have lost if he didn’t admit it?

“they don’t think that they’ll ever be held accountable or made to pay.”
Remember that old adage; “Don’t take the law into your own hands”
Most people have no desire to take the law into their own hands. However, when those in power, abuse their power, they are far too often left unaccountable to the law. With zero accountability, they continue to be repeat offenders. They keep abusing their power over and over again…with no trail. Eventually, they abuse someone who will not let them continue. That person takes the law into their own hands. –When they do…they are held accountable, and everybody cries that they had alternatives.
Truth is; the only alternative they had was to ignore the abusive acts, and let them continue.
Anarchy follows tyranny. It always has, and it always will.
“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” —Thomas Jefferson
As GWLSM said, they “do what they do because they can.”
And they’re getting away with so much these days — they don’t think that they’ll ever be held accountable or made to pay.
sadly, CA, has a long history of highway patrol officers who like assulting women. in the community where my sister in law lives there is a stretch of highway named for a young woman who was assaulted and killed by a CHP cop. this guy was highly decorated and was for a time the PR cop for the CHP. Everyone loved him except the women he pulled over, directed to a side access road and into a lovers lane area where he’d rape them.
he’s in prison now but just getting the evidence to bring him to trial was a huge effort.
guys like this do what they do because they can.
It seems motherland and America aren’t all that different after all. Police and the priviliged get away with crime and rape back home, seems like America isn’t far behind.
Another example of the police taking care of their own, no matter how egregious the crime. I hope the victim can sue the city or state to make them really feel the pain of allowing their officers to get sweetheart deals.
I agree, why no state charges? With no state charges for the sexual assault, he seems to have been given a “sweat heart” deal. Would this deal have been available to others?
When it is all said and done, he will eligible for release in 8.5 years (if the feds give him the maximum).
And this is in a state that has a “three strikes and your out law”.
He needs to see the witch doctor, for his just due.Case in point:
“Rodney walks into a bar and says, “Bartender, give me two shots. One for me and one for my best buddy here.”
The bartender says, “You want both drinks now or do you want me to wait until your buddy arrives to pour his?”
Rodney says, “Oh, I’ve got my best buddy in my pocket here.” With that he pulls out a little 3-inch man from his pocket.
“That’s amazing,” says the bartender. “Can he walk?” Rodney flicks a quarter down to the end of the bar and says, “Hey Al, go get that quarter!” The little guy runs down to the end of the bar, picks up the quarter, and brings it back.
The bartender is totally amazed. “What else can he do? Does he talk?”
Rodney looks up at the bartender, “Talk? Sure he talks. Hey Al, tell him about that time we were in down in Africa on safari and you insulted that witch doctor!”
why do men think they can get away with this kind of thing?
They did not promote him to desk dick? I mean chief desk detective. Wow, surprises me.
