The Securities and Exchange Commission has a curious concept of punishment. Bank of America is accused of misleading investors about $5.8 billion in bonuses paid to top executives at Merrill Lynch. The SEC responds with a penalty of a $33 million settlement.
What is wonderful about this “constructive conclusion” is that the Bank of America does not even have to admit any responsibility or guilt. Ultimately, the same investors who were misled will now effectively pay the penalty for being misled. Only in America.

Good Day. Great site. Good info. Help me! There is an urgent need for sites: Bad credit student loan. I found only this – quick student loans. Student loan, state’s failure numbers loans. Highly, the same originator of these candidates was applied simply readily here for an student, also if moderate, on running blog, student loan. With best wishes :-(, Elliot from Albania.
WooHoo, Justice may actually be done in this case- the Court is displeased with the proposed settlement:

lol
Ok.
At least you’re revealing your true agenda behind the attacks now. You know what they say. In vino veritas.
Let’s be clear.
You violated our host’s request for civility between regulars and non-troll guests multiple times against multiple regulars.
Despite several attempts to get you to comply, you have persisted in personal attacks.
I only asked for your censure after it became apparent you were never going to stop (something you yourself and others have done – it’s not about sway, the Prof does get requests, if you think it’s about sway your insecurity is showing) . . . and now you’ve just revealed your motive.
That’s just funny.
Wanna bet who is leaving ifyou keep it up?
HINT: It won’t be me…
No, Patty, I won’t.
This has been about you since way before you ever attacked me. It was about you when you were only attacking Jill. It was about you when you attacked AY. It’s about you when you attack me. It’s going to be about you whomever your next target happens to be.
I won’t be changing the subject because you have made yourself the subject.
You are the perpetual instigator.
And run away? Did I tell you to run away? No. I told you you should be a better guest and honor our host’s requests.
You keep embarrassing yourself though.
You’re getting good at it.

Fine.
Keep acting like an idiot until you do something to get yourself banned.
I’ve gone further out of the way for you than you are worth.
—
You have no influence here and likely no where else, either.
You are all puff and bluster in my view -too bad.
If you still have an active law license, which I doubt, you could use it – for something worthwhile.
Otherwise, you ARE lost and you need to find something else!
But know this, YOU WILL stop making me the subject of your derision – sooner or later. Mark my words.
Fine.
Keep acting like an idiot until you do something to get yourself banned.
I’ve gone further out of the way for you than you are worth.
I’m telling you this because we used to be friends.
—
Oh, that’s right, you’re three years old.
I know who my friends are in real life and on the turlee blawg
– you are not one of them.
We did not have a ‘falling out’ or call a cease-fire, as AY phrased it as we have no ‘relationship’. I don’t like liars.
Run away? NOT a chance…
You are even more obnoxious than I thought you were initially.
And you obviously are not interested in displaying anything different. In fact you’ve managed to escalate – once again.
So go ahead and keep shootin’ your mouth off like the juvenile slob you demonstrate.
Meaawhile, I have patients to see and procedures to perform
– while you sit and poop your ‘big boy’ pants.
Good luck with that!
What are you?
Besides intractably and irrationally confrontational and unable to comprehend the basic logic presented?
The Prof requested and requests civility.
I have complied until attacked.
You have not complied at all.
You are the only one both instigating and escalating.
The Occam’s razor solution is for you to go back to pretending I don’t exist if it pisses you off, not bag on me for no reason other than you don’t like me. Slave to your ego much? If this is how you are salving some pain in your life, by starting conflicts against unwilling parties against whom you have historically been unable to best at flaming? That’s just pathetic and self-loathing and sad.
How about this simplistic language: Don’t start trouble and there won’t be any, start some and I’ll be glad to finish it. There is only one person here capable of making me leave (if that is your intention) and you are not that person.
Your response indicates you chose Door #1.
You have chosen poorly.
Your parting gift consists of this observation.
You’re an ungracious guest.
Despite repeated request from our host to be civil amongst the regulars and non-troll guests, you seemingly cannot let insulting me (and others) go. You call me five when you put on that dazzling display of childishness? I laugh in your face. All I can say is this: JT asks many more times than I would before telling. You should be thankful he’s only edited out your individual way over the line posts instead of giving you the Bron treatment. But grateful and thankful and gracious seem to have left your vocabulary. Along with civil and dignified. Wise has left the building as well and is smoking a cigarette out on the sidewalk with prudent.
You’re a party guest one needs not be concerned about leaving the seat up or down but whether or not the walls got wet. Such good breeding for one so proud of their tradition. Is being a shit disturber for no other reason than to be one something they teach in prep school or is that a product of your higher education? I’m pretty sure it isn’t in the DAR handbook or Mrs. Manners. Always remember this: making me an enemy is your choice and it has been from attack one. You will never win in this kind of combat against me. I have no wish to make you look any worse than you already do, but I will if you give me no option. To end the war and give the Prof what he wants simply requires you to do one thing: stop being an antagonist to me and other regulars simply because you disagree and in many cases can’t best their arguments without resorting to the exact tactic you are using here.
Stopping yourself and exercising self-control are something you have proven time and again you are either incapable of doing or unwilling to do (despite the requests of our host).
Most unfortunate.
You need to walk away. I am telling you this for your benefit, not mine. I’m telling you this because we used to be friends. You cannot harm me. You cannot claim the inverse. Your very attempts to harm me damage you let alone what I do in response. Every time you’ve attacked me since our falling out, you have always come out the worse for wear. I take no pleasure in what I do for defense. But defend I will. Think of me as a reflective surface.
There are those here you still supposedly listen to. Long time mutual acquaintances. Perhaps you should consider consulting them on this issue.
What are you five years old?
Grow up…!
AY,
I’ll be right there.
Patty,
Follow your own advice much, you shrill antagonistic harpy?
“Get a life of your own and stay outta mine!”
YOU were the first to mention my name.
You don’t like the results?
You should not have mentioned my name.
I’ve invited you to, in many ways many times, to leave me alone. I wasn’t mentioning you since our falling out. I stayed out of your posts and did not mention you in mine. Your lack of sense in taking the invitation to civility is your problem, not mine. Your failure to do so just paints you as all the more as someone with an obsession.
Your choices are simple.
1) You can keep “antagonizing” me and look like an ever increasing nutbag. Here’s a hint: I don’t have to try much to enhance that presentation. I’d rather not do it as some of my friends here still like you, but if you continue to attack me I will respond in kind.
2) You can leave me out of your life. It was, after all, you who brought me back into it. I’m like an old school vampire: don’t invite me in and I won’t draw blood.
3) You can leave me out of your life AND honor the Prof’s wishes for civility. You know, like what I was doing before you insisted on being a jackass again and bagging on me when I had not attacked you (let alone your positions even) in any way whatsoever.
Once again, I suggest Door #3.
Door’s #2 and #3 require no response. The rest of that math is self-evident.
The choice is yours.
