Novelist Lisa Ann Reardon, 47, has been arrested for shooting her father in . . . well . . . the rear. George Hicks escaped the assault by running into his house when Reardon allegedly fired repeated shots from a 20-gauge shotgun.
Reardon is being held on charges of assault with intent to murder, using a firearm to commit a felony and a motor vehicle violation and ordered held without bond.
Police state that Hicks was also hit in the leg and that Reardon called her sister after the attack to to say that she “couldn’t believe that she missed and wouldn’t ever get a chance to do it again.”
Reardon is the author of various novels including “The Mercy Killers” and “Blameless.” In Mercy Killer, she tellingly writes the line “It’s hard to think how different their lives would have been if it weren’t for the mess they got themselves into . . .”
