For those of us who are military history buffs, this video is amazing. On the video, you can see the impact of modern torpedoes on large shipping.
Gone are the days when sailors have time to abandon a ship. The damage of a single torpedo here is astonishing and alarming.
So there are other thngs besides “loose lips”,that sink ships eh?
What this video illustrates to me is the extent to which humans will conjure up destruction and spend billions on weaponry to annihilate those with whom they disagree while the masses of humanity remain underfed, have little or no health care, and are undereducated.

FFLEO, excellent point and I couldn’t agree more. Although, I might change “humans”, to “politicians, military leaders and corporations” since it is a certain segment of humans who perpetrates this on the rest of humanity — the undereducated who live in fear for basic things like housing, food, utilities and health care. This folks aren’t really think about the $200,000 property tax bill on their summer home in the Hamptons.
Prof. Turley,
Since you are a military history buff, have you ever been in the military, considered military service, and/or would want your children to serve in the military, regardless of what political party was in power and who was president?
What this video illustrates to me is the extent to which humans will conjure up destruction and spend billions on weaponry to annihilate those with whom they disagree while the masses of humanity remain underfed, have little or no health care, and are undereducated.
Here’s another:
Megatorpedo Sinks Destroyer in One Hit
This is a US Navy Spruance-class destroyer sinking in mere minutes after being hit by the latest version of a Mk 48: a heavyweight torpedo which, as you can see in this video, can wipe a whole ship out of the water in a single strike.
Looks like the Navy wanted to get rid of a ship per the GC and decided to create another reef for a school.
Hey wait a minute, can this be the GOP’s plan for free education for all? How many class rooms did they create with the potential of schools.
Seems like a free public education to me.
