William J. Clinton Foundation Found in Violation of Better Business Bureau Standards

Bill Clinton has had his share of criticism over receiving fees in shady deals (here) and raising tens of millions of dollars from foreign sources while Hillary Clinton serves as Secretary of State (here and here). He is now facing a stinging report from the Better Business Bureau, which has found that his foundation does not meet seven of its key criteria. Clinton is now spearheading fundraising for Haiti.

The report below states that the Foundation is still out of line with good business practices that range from operational rules to board membership to transparency problems.

While none of this means that there is any corruption afoot at the Foundation, it would seem to be a good standard to meet given the respect of the BBB and the purpose of these rules.

  1. You can get more pertinent information on a company from the comments on Craigslist than from the BBB.

  2. “…While none of this means that there is any corruption afoot at the Foundation…”

Most important line in the article.

  3. Of late, I find little to no trust when I think of the BBB. Corporate lackeys, nothing more. Of course they would criticize The Big Dog.
