Man Filmed While Playing in Traffic — Ending in Being Hit By a Truck

I just saw this video on YouTube and no nothing about the back story. It seems to be genuine, but shows a guy messing around in traffic as his friend films him — until he is hit by a truck.

This would make for rather poor evidence if the man hoped to go to court. Assumption of the risk can be a terrible thing.

What is amazing is not only the understated response of the friend and cameraman but his relative slow reaction to respond (his shadow shows him first examining the camera).

Does anyone what happened in this case?

  1. This guy was high as a kite. The pal doing the filming was probably high too. Those blunts and 40s can be murder – luckily this time they just proved to be injurious.

  3. The video was added to YouTube by an account with no other video contributions. The description on the YouTube vid was updated to:

    The guy is okay, he only broke a couple of ribs and his wrist. NO, he’s not dead. I didn’t shoot the video, merely uploaded from someone else’s Facebook.

  8. I think the oddest thing about this incident is that there were no tazers involved.

  18. You watch your buddy get hit by a truck … you don’t shout out a warning … you film it … you don’t drop the camera and run to help … all you do is continue filming and say “Oh, shit” … then you post it on Youtube? Priceless was sarcasm ….
