Former NYPD Officer Andrew Kelly has received 90 days after pleading guilty to getting drunk and then running over Vionique Valnord, 33. Kelly killed Valnord with his Jeep and was found smelling of alcohol with slurred speech.
He was reportedly with another off-duty officer and two other buddies at the time of the accident around 12:41 a.m. in Flatlands on Sept. 28, 2009.
He resigned from the force shortly before his plea.
The victim’s father, Rev. Varios Valnord forgave Kelly and accepted his courtroom apology. The family, however, is moving forward with a civil lawsuit against the city.

that is bs, I got 60 days, served 40 days of it for my second dwi that never hurt anyone. Albany county NY is far too strict.
90 Day’s Absolutely shameful. A man(loosely termed) killed four, 4, bunnies in No. Adams Mass. and he PLEAD the charge and the Judge gave him —————————————————————-4, Four Years in State Prison, no jail.
And the politicians proudly Claim “N.Y. State is Tough on Drunk Driver’s, NOT!.

90 days… just suppose their was a motif for murder.
When there’s too little evidence, we tend not to convict or to underpunish because we find it worse to convict the innocent than it is to let a guilty man go…
But this is not such a case….
