Season’s Greetings from Jack & Rudy: A Holiday Poem
(Jack is my daughter’s yellow Lab and Rudy is the cat she got two Christmases ago.)
Jack loves Christmas. Woof! Woof! Woof!
Rudy loves it too. Mew! Mew! Mew!
Can’t wait to get their presents—
Some biscuits and a bone,
Some catnip and a ball of yarn,
Some meat-scented cologne.
Jack and Rudy love their tree—
Its ornaments and lights,
The gold star at its tippy-top
Glistening and bright.
Woof! Woof! Woof!
Mew! Mew! Mew!!
They’re sending season’s greetings
To every one of you.
I will now interpret
What they REALLY want to say:
Have a tailwagging purrfect
Merry Christmas Day!

Trying to summon up some holiday spirit and every little bit of cheer helps”
In a past thread you mentioned why you felt so,I can offer these words I came across a few minutes ago:
“strength is what you have thats stronger than ever
strength is the only power that is stronger than any power of mankind
strength is something that gives you the power to carry on
strength gives you the the power to help someone you love
strength is a power that you have within yourself

I am so glad Rudy has taken the Santa hat off. I intentionally showed it to my two cats, Chad and Casper, to demonstrate how truly nice I am to them by not putting a Santa hat on their heads. But I do tell them to be good before Christmas or Santa Cat will skip their house, not leave the desired, extra strength catnip and feed all the good food to the strays…
Merry Christmas to all!
Mrs M.
That was just on time.
Elaine,
I smile every time I see Animal (for personal reasons), but Animal, Beeker and the Swedish Chef?
That’s a veritable Muppet tri-fecta.

eniobob,
Here’s a Christmas song for you–courtesy of the Muppets!
Version #2
Since this thread seems more geared to the holiday may I dedicate to all my favorite Christmas Carol, when I was a child growing up,and before it had a name in the house on Christmas eve there were two radios on in different parts of the house.
One a little louder than the other and this song played and sounded so beautiful and the sound later became came known as stereo.
Two versions of the same song.Merry Christmas All,Enjoy!!

Sometime tomorrow I have a date with a red velvet cake.
Buddha,
I’m planning on a happy AND high-cal holiday! How about you?
“Rudy has been chewing off bits of wrapping paper from the presents under the tree–and Jack has eaten a Christmas bow.”
I thought everyone knew this was the best use of paper and bows. And boxes are for playing in.
May Clan Magliaro, Clan Turley and all the associated clans of Res Ispa Loquitur have a wonderful and safe holiday!
And all the best to you, your family, Jack m& Rudy have a very Merry Christmas and an enjoyable New year……………..
Rudy and Jack have gotten into holiday shenanigans at my daughter’s house. Rudy has been chewing off bits of wrapping paper from the presents under the tree–and Jack has eaten a Christmas bow.
Happy Holidays to all from the Magliaros!
And Rudy is saying,I am.:=)

Buon natale a tutti.
Trying to summon up some holiday spirit and every little bit of cheer helps… A very sweet posting, Elaine M. Especially like the pic of the two of them with the hats.
“Happy Holidays” to you and yours.
Just wonderful, Elaine. Merry Christmas to you and both elves.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww, they are lovely. I trust their Christmas stockings are overflowing with treats and I hope yours is too.
