It turns out Barack Obama is . . . is . . . a citizen. The White House has released President Obama’s long-form birth certificate to put the growing controversy to rest over his birth. Many of us have been critical of the birther conspiracy theories. However, I am not sure why the White House did not do this earlier since it addresses the allegations fully. It will be interesting to see that, now that Obama has produced the certificate, if the movement for state ballot laws declines. While it has been repeatedly stated that the laws are not about Obama, but we will see.
The long-form clearly states the date and other information. It also includes the name of Obama’s father — a focus of recent suggestions that the reason for withholding the document was the name of a different man or the inclusion of Muslim for religion.
Donald Trump immediately took credit for the disclosure stating, “Today, I’m very proud of myself, because I’ve accomplished something that nobody else has been able to accomplish,” Trump told reporters. “Why he didn’t do it when everybody else was asking for it, I don’t know. But I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role in hopefully, hopefully getting rid of this issue.”
I am not sure why the White House held on to the document. One theory could be that they knew it would blow up in the faces of Obama’s critics. However, it has served to rally critics for years. Those critics are not likely to register with the DNC now. They are likely to move on to other claims against Obama.
Perhaps now that he clearly was born in Hawaii, they will now claim that his is part of the Hawaiian royalty and thus making him ineligible as the holder of a foreign ennoblement.

Jonathan Turley
hello!,I love your writing so so much! proportion we communicate extra approximately your post on AOL? I need an expert on this house to unravel my problem. Maybe that is you! Taking a look ahead to look you.
E.T.,
It is obvious that you haven’t read much of Prof. Turley’s posts. He is far from being an Obama groupie. As to your claim that McCain was attacked for not being a natural born citizen, please provide us with examples of how and when he was “Birtherized” on Prof. Turley’s site.
Yep.
You’re from a different planet alright.
Isn’t it amazing how Professor Turley and company were the penultimate first “Birthers” with their full court press and assault against John McCain’s authenticity as a “natural born citizen”. Every stone was turned. Every “i” dotted. Every “t’ crossed. Fortunate for Senator McCain, both of his parents were born and documented to be born in the United States of America. Amazing that Professor Turley couldn’t have the same integrity to hold his own candidate to the same scrutiny and standards. Fortunately, as they say in the military…ALL turds float to the surface sooner or later.
“What you should be taking umbrage at is the threat against an individual’s privacy and that you were part of it. The fact that a Jew would stand with people who would try to stifle free speech is monumental stupidity.”
Howard,
I see that precision in language is not one of your strong points, nor it seems is reading comprehension. What particular threat against an individual’s privacy has been made here? Can I have a quote? While you’re at it could you explain precisely whose free speech has been stifled? None that I see.
It is possible that you might be referring to some mention that some posters here may have used varied pseudonyms to pretend to have more support than they do. How is revealing that an abridgment of free speech, can you explain? No personal information about anyone has either been looked into, nor has any personal data been mined and/or shared, that I am personally aware of or would condone.
However, if you make a post as let’s say Howard and then follow up with a post that is complimentary to yourself as let’s say Maury, isn’t it fair in the interests of transparency to comment on that? I believe it is. This site always encourages honest debate and is very loath to censor anyone, yet is posting under many aliases in the attempt to deceive an honest or decent act? I don’t think so, but perhaps you have a response that disproves me?
“If you seriously condone harvesting people’s IP addresses for the purpose of stifling or regulating free speech you are stupid and vile and monumentally hypocritical.”
I don’t condone it to stifle or regulate free speech and you have no evidence of this rather over the top and hysterical claim.
“My comment was neither a threat nor an anti-Jewish reference, nor was it a reference to victimization. It was however a reference to those types of people who would phish for some one’s IP address.”
If all your untrue claims were true, which they aren’t, they would not in any even minor way compare to the horrors of the Shoah. If anything your technique of claiming something untrue to be occurring bears a striking similarity to the Big Lie invented by Joseph Goebbels. Your use of the Shoah for comparison was at best stupid and I suspect but can’t prove, due to your diffidence, that there was a more foul intent.
As far as:
“They are vile, mean and low ideologues who care more for their cause than for justice.”
Your are caught up in the psychological process known as projection, since you provide a perfect description of the birther/teabagger movement.
“So you guys have a slogan now I guess – “If we don’t like what you say we will hunt you down.”
Again, can you clearly and logically explain how anyone is being hunted down? You seem to be adept at making untrue statements, but lacking in the logic to inform them.
“I hope you jack asses dont have the balls to mention the founders again. Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto are what you libtards should be quoting.”
“But you brilliant libs cant understand that simple idea, because you fervently believe your ideas are the only ones that matter.”
“Just to be clear I am not a birther.”
Your first two statements belie the third. All of the false memes
you use are birther/teabagger memes and word usage. Howard don’t you even have the courage to admit your beliefs, or is it that
disingenuousness is endemic to your character?
Blouise,
I have been bullied during my life and I never learned to just accept it. I, like you, found myself in not only my battles, but other’s as well.
Is that the best you got, badtroll?
Why that’s just . . . pathetic and sad.
Kind of like suckpuppetry in general.
How’s that big ol’ cup of frustration and fear treating you?
That was a rhetorical question.
“I find it hard feeling sympathy for those who allow their pathology to hurt others.” (Mike Spindell)
==========================================
And there you have it! I was never bullied but for some reason, and I’ve given up trying to figure it out, watching others be bullied made my blood boil and put me, through my own volition, right in the middle of the fracas.
My parents, my friends, my husband, my kids, even my grandkids (now that they are old enough)have all said to me at one time or another … “this isn’t your fight, stay out of it.” But to no avail.
I have learned over the years to modify my approach in order to be more effective but ignoring the bullying is just not possible.
It almost makes me believe in “past lives”. Perhaps I am nothing more than a bullier of bullies …. karma and all that.
Thanks Mike … I didn’t want you to be the only one who may have gotten “a bit to personal and long-winded”.

eniobob,
I’m fairly happy with Chrome. I probably use it about 20% of the time. It’s render speed is wicked fast, but FF4 so far is doing as well or better. However, the only reason I even have MSIE on my Windows partition is that some MS websites are hostile to any other browser.
Buddha you should be happy with chrome, the problem is you ain’t polishing it enough. You need to use it more than 20% of the time or it goes limp. Then you have to worry about it falling off or someone finding out that will then identify you as a limp dick. Remember speed is not important, Fast might get you to the finish line but slow and steady wins the race.
Buddha,
I am sure that Howard et al will do something as a combination of what Franklin said….They will do something worth being written about….such as embezzlement, wire fraud, SEC violations…. I am sure of something…just not sure about what……
Howard,
“An enemy generally says and believes what he wishes.” – Thomas Jefferson
“[T]hat general is skilful in attack whose opponent does not know what to defend; and he is skilful in defense whose opponent does not know what to attack.” – Sun Tzu
“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.” – Benjamin Franklin
Woosty,
Great video. I saw that last night on the news. It was hilarious. The look on Trumpty says it all!
Howard, Howard, Howard…..or is it Maury….
Think…we the people whom you consider liberals…and yes…socially I am very liberal… fiscally… not so much….
At least the liberals that you claim them to be are open minded…. they are willing to give Obama a chance…
You or anyone of your various mnemonic nom de plumes claim not to be racist…. what is a racist in your mind…. what is racism… is it not really about some race or person that you considered to be inferior… and then you group them in one classification because that is the way it fit in your mind….
Learn to read….it opens the mind…. but then again…. your cause want to limit people access to education one book at a time…. was it not your great leader Herr Karl Rove that said something along the lines of “When people feel comfortable they vote republican….when the have education they vote democratic…” that answers that does it not…..
Keep em dumb but feeling of comfortable…then they are your voting tool… a lot like people complained about LBJ and the Mexicans…. you know what the ranchers felt was that they’d loose workers because of education…. not much has really changed has it.
But answer this for me…why are some of the wealthiest people democratic…. why…they might just be educated….as well as wealthy….which do you lack….
Just to be clear I am not a birther. I disagree with Obama on substance, his race has nothing to do with it.
But you brilliant libs cant understand that simple idea, because you fervently believe your ideas are the only ones that matter.
It’s all about race to you because you are all about race.
Mike Spindell:
“mean? As a proud Jew I take umbrage against those who cavalierly throw around obscure references to the Shoah. If it means that you birther/teabaggers feel yourselves victimized like the Jews
than your reference is an exercise in monumental stupidity. If it means a backhanded threat then you are equally stupid. However, if its an anti-Jewish reference of you own divising then it is both stupid and vile.”
What you should be taking umbrage at is the threat against an individual’s privacy and that you were part of it. The fact that a Jew would stand with people who would try to stifle free speech is monumental stupidity.
If you seriously condone harvesting people’s IP addresses for the purpose of stifling or regulating free speech you are stupid and vile and monumentally hypocritical.
My comment was neither a threat nor an anti-Jewish reference, nor was it a reference to victimization. It was however a reference to those types of people who would phish for some one’s IP address. They are vile, mean and low ideologues who care more for their cause than for justice.
So Mike, do you believe in liberty or are you just another libtard who is full of shit like your buddies Buddha is Laughing and Slartibartfast?
So you guys have a slogan now I guess – “If we don’t like what you say we will hunt you down.”
Madison, Jefferson and others are spinning like a top.
I hope you jack asses dont have the balls to mention the founders again. Mein Kampf and the Communist Manifesto are what you libtards should be quoting.

AY,
Great video. Kent State was a traumatic experience for me. I was a freshmen in college at the time.
