A star danced,
And under that
was I born.
~ William Shakespeare
Before Jonathan left for France, I gave him the exciting news that my daughter Sara was expecting her first child in late July. I told him that I might not be able to post much as a guest blogger at the end of July and in early August while he was away on his trip with his family. Jonathan told me he wanted to see some pictures of the momentous event on the blog.
Well, Julia Anna, my first grandchild, was born this morning at 1:22 am. She weighed in at 7lbs. 11 oz. I was so happy that my daughter Sara wanted me there with her when she had her first child. It was a truly amazing experience for me to see Julia being born…to be there to help and to give words of encouragement…to share this very special moment with my only child. I’m floating on cloud nine at the moment. But I’m also exhausted. I didn’t arrive home until three this morning.
Here are some of the pictures I’d like to share with you:
Here I am with my daughter Sara on Mother’s Day:
Next May, we’ll be celebrating her motherhood too!

Congratulations to all!
As the mother of a girl, my husband recommends that all fathers go out and plant a small tree in honor of their daughter’s birth. That when when the girls are teenagers, there will be a sapling of just the right size to cut down and chase the boys away with.
Congratulations; wishing your Julia and all your beautiful family love and happiness!
My goddaughter’s a Julia and AKA Julie…
Julia Anna is beautiful.
Just like her mom and grandma
Congratulations and best wishes to all three beautiful ladies!
remember to take lots of pictures to embarrass her with when she is older.
What wonderful news… Congratulations to all!
Thanks to all for your congratulations. We had a period of concern for a while because my daughter was being monitored. It was thought late in her pregnancy that Julia was going to be very small–but my little granddaughter fooled us all!
Congratulations! One question though, which one of the lovely ladies is the grandma and, which, the happy mom? ;D
Congratulations to all the family! Elaine, thank you so much for sharing the pictures of your wonderful new Julia.
Congratulations and thank you for sharing the joyful event and the beautiful pictures.
