I just saw this video on YouTube and had to share it of a cat that seems to calm a crying baby by petting it on the head.
This is so much cheater than an au pair and she works for yarn.

This was interesting to watch, but while I did I kept thinking, “Put down the damn camera and take care of the baby!!!”
Cats do the same with mice right before they eat them.
We had a pair of cats when our first kid was born. My dad – as serious as I had ever seen him – told me to make sure the cats were never alone with the baby because the would “steal the babies breath” which would suffocate him.
