Little High, Little Low: DUI Suspect Performs Bohemian Rhapsody In Custody

It appears that this DUI suspect had the right but not the inclination to remain silent. Instead, he offers a full performance of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I must say that the selection of the song was pure genius.

Frankly, there should be some credit given inspired musical selections.

Are there any alternative musical selections that can be suggested for suspects in custody? I might opt for a rendition of Plastic Jesus or Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen.

However, Bohemian Rhapsody is clearly well-suited to this particular suspect.
For those of you who want to sing along at home, here are the lyrics:

Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality
Open your eyes,
Look up to the skies and see,
I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy,
Because I’m easy come, easy go,
Little high, little low,
Any way the wind blows doesn’t really matter to
me, to me

Mama,
I just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger
now he’s dead
Mama… life had just begun,
But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away
Mamaaaaa oooh,
Didn’t mean to make you cry,
If I’m not back again this time tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine, body’s aching all
the time
Goodbye, ev’rybody, I’ve got to go,
Got to leave you all behind and face the truth
Mamaaaaa oooh,
I don’t want to die,
I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all

(Guitar solo)

I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche! Scaramouche! will you do the
Fandango?!

Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening

me!
Galileo, Galileo
Galileo, Galileo
Galileo, Figaro – magnifico

I’m just a poor boy, nobody loves me
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family,
Spare him his life from this monstrosity!
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go
Bismilah! No, we will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismilah! We will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismilah! We will not let you go
(Let me go) Will not let you go
(Let me go)(Never) Never let you go
(Let me go) Never let you go (Let me go) Ah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me,
for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

So you think you can stop me and spit in my
eye?!?!
So you think you can love me and leave me to
die?!?!
Oh, baby, can’t do this to me, baby,
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta
here!

(Guitar solo)

Nothing really matters, Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters,
Nothing really matters to me…

Any way the wind blows…

  1. Anyone notice that the cop did “rolling” stops? I’ve been pulled over for doing those.

  2. The cops should offer this as an alternative to the field sobriety test– walk a straight line and touch your nose, or sing Bohemian Rhapsody from beginning to end.

  3. I hope I never ever get THAT drunk……………………………….again.

  4. “any way the wind blows” is the last line of the song.

He needs to be careful how the wind blows when he blows into the breathalyser.

The Mothers of Invention wrote “Anyway The Wind Blows” especially for this situation.

  5. I love how they waited for him to finish before getting him out of the car.

  6. Good folks….. Maybe this is his ticket to fame….. I can see it now…… Tape sent into Americans Just Wanna Sing….. Yes Canada is part of America just not a part of the US….. Yet…..

  7. Oh how Freddie Mercury would have enjoyed this, especially the last lined changed to “Nothing really matters to the RCMP’. Should have known it was a Canadian cop. Some Amereican cops would have tased him before he finished the first line.

By the way, I never hear much about the Mounties tasing people like they do here. Is it policy or self restraint?

  8. Great, now the cops and the prosecutor have this guy confessing to a murder.
