We have another Saudi royal on the criminal docket. The latest family member of the House of Saud was arrested in Santa Ana for human trafficking where a Kenyan woman gave a familiar account of domestic workers in Saudi Arabia. She said that her passport was taken and she was forced to work 16 hours a day, seven days a week for virtually no money. Meshael Alayban, 42, is one of the wives of Saudi Prince Abdulrahman bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz al Saud.
Once in the United States, the woman apparently realized that she had a chance for freedom. The 30-year-old domestic worker from Kenya was seen flagging down a Southern California bus and told a passenger that she was being held against her will.
Police arrested the princess at an Irvine condominium and searched the residence. Her lawyer insists this is merely a contractual dispute. She signed a two-year contract with an employment agency for $1,600 a month to work eight hours a day, five days a week. However, she told police that she was paid only $220 and forced to cook, clean and do other household chores. In Irvine, she says that she worked 16 hours to care for at least eight people in four apartments in the same Irvine complex, washing dishes, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and ironing
Alayban’s bail was set at $5 million. She was ordered to submit to GPS monitoring and banned her from leaving the county without authorization.

It is time to tell the members of the House of Saud to stay home. I am so sick of this family that supports terrorists with our dollars and gets a big pass. We attacked Afghanistan when the terrorists were Saudis and so was there leader.
As to this “princess” I hope they throw the book at her but they won’t . It is more likely that the poor domestic will get in trouble.
Gene H:
greed is also a relative term. I know some people from Africa who would think you are greedy. They have little more than a church mouse.
Gene:
The irrational pursuit of money is stupid. Running after money in an immoral way is stupid.
But making an honest living is not stupid no matter how much you make.
Bron,
I’ve been telling you for a long time that greed is stupid.
she is already back in saudi arabia
Her lawyer says it is a contract dispute.
So I guess when one thinks of slavery, the saudi royal family, and abuse of domestic workers it is always a parol evidence case.
I wonder if there is a fugitive slave act in saudi arabia.
The House of Saudi bin Bush…. Shouldn’t let thus happen…. I suppose she’s on her way back to a safe place in the kingdom….
With all the money they have, why in the world do these people need to mistreat their domestic workers? I can only think of one thing: total disregard for human life of others. It seems to run in the veins of the Saudis. Her picture and story should be blasted on the front pages of all news organizations’ wall of shame.

Well, the wife is SOL since her protectors the Bush family are not in power now. I am sure that GHW Bush will put in a good word for her when he visits the White House this week. W Bush will probably get a buddy to get a charter G-VI to wisk her out of the country when she gets tired of So Cal and wants to go home. He might have enough pull to even get an FBI agent to keep the locals away if needed.

Pick em up? Throw em off our shores?
You dogs must be gettin into the local loco weed. Nuke them som b*tches [in keeping with a canine motif]
Hey got any spare Pupparoni?
Where is Humpin Dog?
She is likely to be on a plane home like those who were supporting the 15 Saudi hijackers on 9/11.
We don’t need no Royal Family down here. Should have picked that family up the day of 9/11 when they picked up all the bin ladens and flew them out.
Throw the Pirates off of our shores.
Good thing she can’t leave the country — or one of those transnational corporate manufacturers who exported American jobs overseas would hire her to run its HR department
“Because the al Saud family is in bed with the Bush family and Halliburton?”
Because we are stupid?
Nothing new here. What is with this dime a dozen prince or princesses from Saudi Arabi?. Where is Arab spring when it is badly needed?
Based on her arrest it appears we are starting to not tolerate these people. However, time will tell.
Because the al Saud family is in bed with the Bush family and Halliburton?
it is dispicable to take advantage of someone in this way. Especially one with no recourse.
why do we tolerate these people?
