Perils of the Press VII: Monkeying Around With The Media

We have yet another addition to our series on the perils of the press. We often train young lawyers to maintain their composure in tough situations, but this young reporter shows particularly impressive focus in this report with a frisky baboon. A real frisky baboon. In our series, animal mishaps feature prominently in interviews gone wrong. (here and here and here and here).

This is precisely why some performers refuse to work with children or animals.

I expect this to be the last interview of this particular subject.

  1. whoa im glad that ended well Elaine i remember charla nash and the story and she recently had more surgery. and is in the middle of her lawsuit and show off her new face SHE WAS ANOTHER LUCKY ONE. i really wish people would learn to leave wild animals where they belong in the wild.

i have a great love of black panthers but the closest i get to having one near me or in my home is on floor rugs, pictures, and statues and that is as close as i want them to be…

  2. Still remember Ray Ranor morning show at zoo, the zoo head & him were inside rope by tiger cage….Momma tiger had a baby.
She let out a roar & jumped form the back of the cage to the front bars, and pushed off on them..!!..Ray, the show host, fell over backwards on the rope…
Just a few bars to protect ya from instant death….Gene’s right, these are not toys or pets….

  3. The Baboon sings ”

    “Don’t waste your time…..
Because the dog-gone girl is mine.

I agree with Gene, this could have been horrific, potentially lethal, and had I been watching it live I would have been holding my breath. And angry at a producer or director that should have known better.
