Word Finally Reaches The National Zoo That The Detroit Lions Are Tied For First In The NFC North

Of course, tensions are high with the bear exhibit.

It looks like both the Bears and Packers will play their back up quarterbacks again this weekend. This timing could not be worse for Cutler as he prepares to negotiate a large contract with the Bears when McCown is 3-0 as a back up. Nevertheless, the field is so weak for quarterbacks, he is likely to have other teams quite interested in competing for a contract. I have rarely seen Chicagoans more divided. Many have never warmed to Cutler and would like to part ways.

  1. Bryant Gumbel did a piece this week on animal mascots. He interviewed the head of PETA. It was not a hit piece. I don’t know where Gumbel comes down on this but the PETA woman was shrill and hurt her cause.

  2. I get the sense Trestman doesn’t like Cutler. However, I’m certain he isn’t the only person deciding whether to sign him. Being a Packer fan, I hope they sign Cutler to a year deal. Cutler is not a winner. He’s got a million dollar arm and a 10 cent head.

  3. Well in Dallas they let the lions rumble….. You say bear…. Hmmm…. Deer season just opened….. Soon it will be bear season…..again and again…..
