There is a fundamental reason why preachers oppose gays. The preacher has a family that he/she has to feed and a dog and a cat. There are numerous bills that come due. A preacher has to earn a living. He needs a flock to preach to and to collect some dues from. The flock has to keep going forward, it needs children. Now how can the flock continue to exist over the decades if the gays get married and do not produce children to increase the flock? When there is no more flock to fleece then the church fails. The pastor has to get some cows in the pasture to milk and some real sheep to fleece. Which is why, we describe Americans who can not think, one simple word: Sheeple.
