The Easter Elm? Tree Rises Again After Cutting

This is a rather bizarre video that I saw on Reddit. As part of Easter, I had to post it.

Our Easter dinner was a huge success. We have a record number of kids for our Easter Egg hunt with a record number of eggs (400-500). My favorite moment occurred the night before Easter when I warned the kids that the rabbit might not come if they did not go to bed and behave. Aidan promptly argued that I was confusing the Easter Bunny with Santa. He insisted that “the thing that I always admired in the Easter Bunny is that he does not judge.” In other words, no matter how bad you may be, he leaves candy. It did raise an interesting legal point. Heck, the Easter Bunny clearly rewarded him for zealous legal argument.

  2. Then you need to tell the kid the Easter Bunny might become a pooka and haunt him for the rest of his life if he doesn’t behave. Show him the great flick, Harvey, to emphasize the point. It is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

    1. Without parental supervision, the Easter Bunny rewards the strong and swift. He does judge. Aiden is wrong. Even with parental supervision, the Easter Bunny is judging which child can find what at what difficulty level.

  3. Very interesting video. Aidan seems destined to follow in his father’s footsteps! Great argument.

  4. I just think the tree is a masochist and was excited by the chain sawing..very excited.

  5. Actually the Easter Bunny seems to reward hard work and perseverance. 🙂 Helping your younger siblings gets rewards from your parents.
