  1. 99guspuppet … you are entitled to your opinion, of course…but I do think you misunderstand a lot about what our military is all about. Never mind that in the past decades the military has struggled mightily with wonks in the White House calling shots they have never risked themselves. The bands do not kill people, wonks do. Understand my bias is that of the military I served…and my experience that the truly stupid stuff came from the White House.

  2. Awesome – mairbair we should all go to Ferguson and sing “Silent Night”

  3. wow how wonderful. maybe should have sent this group down to Fergusen MO. may have worked better than Holder.

  4. “This video below shows the ultimate flash mob”

No it doesn’t, it shows a military PR campaign. I guess there is no description of the term “flash mob” in a law library sufficient for you to develop an understanding of the term. However, thanks to your obsequious grovelling, you boot-licking slimebag, you’ve probably helped the military force of a tyrannical government add a few bodies to, or increase public support of another endless war on everything and everyone. . .Did I mention that you’re a sleazebag?

  5. While I am not a professional musician, I did have a lot of experience in high school, junior high, in band and chorus at the higher levels. So I can say that I was struck by the outstanding musicianship of this band and its presentation was very well thought out and the venue was quite good for the acoustics and outstanding execution. Very impressive and thanks for reminding us of the good troops we have.

I thought only the Rice Marching Owl Band, the MOB, had marching violins and strings since they are not well suited for marching bands. Those musicians must also play another instrument to be in the band. As for promotions being handed out like candy, you have to remember that promotions in the services are not handed out like candy at all. They have to continue to develop professionally to make rank, and I would guess that those with higher rank have at least a Bachelors degree and in many cases could choose to be officers if they left the band.

  6. Other than they are magnificent, I did notice they seem to hand out sergeant stripes like cotton candy. Like Inga, I would love to experience one of these in person. The looks on the faces of the audience were priceless. Great job Air Force Band.

  7. This administration will probably court-martial the lot for preforming the bigoted, homophobic, non-inclusive and decidedly Christian music.

  8. A wonderful performance. I had the pleasure of witnessing the talent of the Air Force band at a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. Very talented and very classy.
