The Colonel Wants To See You: Kentucky Fried Chicken Says DNA Testing Disproved Fried Rat Story

ertertr6654656Not long ago, this image went viral after KFC customer Devorise Dixon said that he was served a fried rat in California. The company insisted that the picture showed it was white meat and complained that Dixon refused to speak directly with the company. It eventually spoke with Dixon’s lawyer and arranged to have the chicken tested. It was proven to be chicken through DNA analysis. Now the Colonel wants an apology.

Speaking for the colonel is Rodrigo Coronel who insisted that “We did an internal investigation and talked to all employees. That statement is false.” The Colonel and the Coronel now want Dixon to “apologize and cease making false claims.”

The case makes for an interesting possible case of product disparagement. According to KFC, the meal was clearly white meat and it does not appear that Dixon did any testing before posting his video. That does raise a legitimate legal challenge by KFC.

  1. oops!

Another reader found to have reading comprehension problems………

KFC is in the headline, in the photo, and mentioned three times in the text. But our favorite critic of reading comprehension problems of other commenters says ‘it’s early’.

LOL oops. It is early out here. I need more coffee.

We don’t eat much fast food unless traveling, but I do love a sausage biscuit or egg mcmuffin from McD when we are on the road.

  3. DBQ

I think this was KFC, but throw in an apology to McDonald’s, as well! She owes all fast food chains an apology for scaring the crap out of us! 🙂

  4. Bam Bam.

LOL…MORE miracles. The holy potato chips. [cue the harp music]

I’ve had the breast meat separate like this when I am pounding it with a meat mallet in preparation for chicken parmesan or chicken kiev.

To be serious though. McDonald’s should either demand a written apology and retraction or sue this person for defamation. The world is full of low information types who will believe the rat story. They will still likely believe it anyway. Every day my opinion of society in general keeps getting lowered below my lowest expectations 😐

  5. Officer! Arrest that magician! He sawed a woman in half! I saw it with my own two eyes!
