Florida congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been widely accused of being a key architect of “rigging” the primary in favor of Hillary Clinton. Among the various controversies surrounding Wasserman Schultz was her blocking Bernie Sanders’ campaign from accessing the DNC’s voter data files, which contain email addresses and telephone numbers for constituents. Now Tim Canova, a law professor at Nova Southeastern University who is running against Wasserman Schultz for her seat in Congress, has revealed that found out that he too is blocked from accessing Democratic voter data. Mind you he is a Democrat but the state Democrats confirmed that only incumbents can gain access to the valuable resource in what critics have said is a blatant effort to favor such candidates. Canova has made the denial to the VAN system part of his campaign while various groups and individuals have campaigned for her to be removed as DNC head.
Florida Democratic Party spokesman Max Stelle is quoted as saying that the Florida Democratic Party does not offer data access “to candidates challenging incumbent members of Florida’s Democratic congressional delegation. This policy has been applied uniformly across the board since 2010. We stand with our incumbent members of Congress and we’re proud of the job they do representing the people of Florida. The Voter File is proprietary software created and owned by the Democratic National Committee that is maintained and operated by the Florida Democratic Party here in state.”
It was such on unbelievable statement that I checked to make sure that there was not a hoax and there is such as person as Max Steele. There is. It is unbelievable that the party, which is supposed to be neutral and inclusive, defends a rule designed to make it more difficult for democrats to challenge incumbents despite overwhelming public sentiment against the establishment. While insisting that they are eager to incorporate Sanders supporters who are fighting the establishment, they also openly protecting incumbents from challengers.
Canova is a Sanders supporter who teaches banking and corporations.
@joan “…disenfranchise people by making restrictive rules for personal identification so difficult to acquire that the elderly, students and those living below the poverty line have difficulty complying.”
Oh come on. Why kid yourself? Just to justify a ridiculous position?
@BWM
Quelle horreur! That looks like French! And nobody speaks French anymore! Oh, you have used “i” instead of “l”. Try this link:

PS: While nobody speaks French anymore, some people still sing in French. For example, this lovely, intelligent, and very talented woman, who is one of my favorites on the Internet:
@Joan
What you call disenfranchisement, I call a reasonable attempt to keep people from voting illegally. It looks like you have been caught up in the Democratic Party’s Disinformation Campaign. The way that works, for example, is to blast a state like North Carolina that cuts back early voting days from 12 to 5, or whatever the case was, and then holler Jim Crow! at the top of your voice!
All the while, a simple review of the facts shows that many heavily Democratic states don’t even have early voting at all, to wit, see the chart here:
http://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/absentee-and-early-voting.aspx
You been had! Ask yourself why your party raised hell about North Carolina (IIRC) and several other “red” states, yet somehow forgot to mention that New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Vermont, Michigan, Rhode Island, and Delaware don’t have early voting at all? Let’s see: race baiting and race pandering for the black vote.
Was your own party being honest with you, or did you have to learn about this from a Republican? And if you think the dead don’t vote, and others vote multiple times, then you don’t know anything about machine politics. Some of the black precincts in this country are insane with this stuff. Not to mention the vote buying. What do you think that “walking around money” is for???

Let’s see Squeeky Fromm, The Democrats are a criminal enterprise?
How about the fact that the Republican party tries to disenfranchise people by making restrictive rules for personal identification so difficult to acquire that the elderly, students and those living below the poverty line have difficulty complying. This in spite of the fact that there has been NO PROOF that dead people vote or that anyone has committed voter fraud in study after study of the elections in our country. And let’s not mention the malfunctioning Diebold voting machines created by the guy that said he would do anything in his power to help W get elected. And let’s not consider the unequal distribution of voting machines between minority and wealthy suburban precincts. And then there’s the FL- Polk county poll workers who wouldn’t let Democrats vote for several hours because of a “misunderstanding”. You are living in la-la land if you think it’s the Democrats that are compromising our election system. That said I agree that Debra W-S is an anti-democratic authoritarian. She should have an R by her name!!!
Neither party escapes this behavior! The people are angry because of their government treats them as if they were ignorant. Although some may be, many aren’t and are sick to death of being treated as if they are. I stay informed and am sick of being treated as if I know nothing.
Horrendous policy! Maybe this type of publicity can be the catalyst for a change in policy and her loss at the ballot box.
That said, anyone who thinks only one party operates this way hasn’t been paying attention to the tens of millions being spent by the republican establishment against the TV pitchman or the convention/delegate machinations of both parties.
She and Hillary are cut from the same cloth. There is no place for this kind of thinking in America and this is the reason that the PEOPLE are so pissed off.
Why does this surprise anybody? The Democratic Party is a massive, reprehensible criminal enterprise. That is not just partisan, political rhetoric. They are openly trying to stuff the ballot box with illegal alien voters. They openly buy votes from blacks with welfare benefits, race-baiting, and race pandering. They openly violate Federal law by depriving people of their rights of free speech and assembly. And as I have said on multiple occasions, the reason for all this is so that the Democratic leadership can remain in office and retain political and monetary power.
This latest outrage is one more open proof.

When I voted in my state’s primary the other day, I happened to notice, on the roster, which I needed to sign and initial, that a dead family member’s name was still listed. The person has been dead for five years. More than a sufficient amount of time to correct the list. I brought the error to the attention of the individuals working there, requesting to have it removed. I was informed that they were unable to do so, as the workers had managed to misplace the paperwork needed to remove the name. They couldn’t find the form. How convenient. Not only are the lists incorrect, but there is no way, once the mistakes are discovered, for them to be easily rectified. I doubt that most people would be willing to take the time and effort, as I did, to telephone a supervisor, at the Board of Elections, the next day, to have the dead person’s name removed from the list of voters. The Democrats count on that. They thrive on having these irregularities in the system–who says that dead people can’t vote?
As long as political favor toward incumbents each election cycle is uniformly applied by the Democratic National Committee, it’s legal? outrageous. More separate but equal doctrine. I’m surprised it hasn’t been put before a federal court.
She often makes republicans look less authoritarian…..and that’s not easy to do.
Trump is going to pick her as his VP candidate if he gets the nomination. A perfect pair.
Little Hillary.
Just another reason why an institution with a 10% approval rating can garner a 90% incumbent success rate.
She and Harry Reid are both a complete disgrace to the democratic party.
This is just one of many reasons why Hillary must be stopped by any means necessary.
How can a party own names of voters? Aren’t voters able to change their minds about which party they support? Voters don’t necessarily “belong” to a party just because they voted a certain way.
Reprehensible
Let me see …is Hillary the incumbent president or is it that we stand with our pals and exclude everyone else. I’m sick of Wasserman-Schultz and she is a major reason I no longer contribute to the Democratic Party. I’d rather give donations to specific candidates and not give WS and her cronies a dime. WS is a big supporter of the TPP. SHE IS A CORPORATIST, she should resign.
She belongs in prison. The gals in there will love her curls.
Her middle name when translated from German is Waterman. In real life her father was Sgt. Schultz in Hogan’s Heroes. Her first name is a cantankerazation of De Bra. She might need one in this scandal.
