Thompson said that God told him to drive fast that day and the other drivers were also prompting him to drive fast. Yet, as the police chased down his 1999 Ford pickup truck, he damaged fences and gates. Thompson then lost control and ran off the road. He did not wait around for additional divine direction: he and his passenger took off into the woods. They eventually came out.
He is not the first to raise this type of defense, as we previously discussed.

So God doesn’t have the authority to give someone an exemption from Caeser’s laws regarding Caeser’s roadways.
2. Even if he did, if you’re claiming a 3rd party gave you a legal exemption, that 3rd party needs to testify in court. – If S/He does you’ll have your ticket waived
I was a parachuter and once when I jumped out of a plane and opened the chute God told me to speed up. There was no way to speed up other than to get out of the chute vest. I was afraid to do that. When I landed I broke my ankle. It was God’s way.
I think we are going to see an ever-increasing number of cases like this, thanks largely to our Supreme Court. If God let me do something, who can object? In the Muslim world, “God Willing” is a regular and accepted part of speech. Maybe it will become that way here.
