Report: Trump Raised Possible Firing Of Deputy Attorney General In Recent Weeks

Rod_Rosenstein_Official_DAG_Portraitdonald_trump_president-elect_portrait_croppedIn the aftermath of the report that the White House Counsel Don McGahn had to threaten to resign to prevent President Donald Trump from firing Robert Mueller last June, new reports from four sources say that Trump has raised his desire to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.  The story would be particularly worrisome since many have defended the President (who denied the Mueller story) on the basis that the order was given during an early chaotic period where he made a series of missteps.  This story, if true, would suggest that the President is still considering the same type of move against Rosenstein — a move that would have obvious and immediate negative impact for him and his Administration.

While I have written extensively (here and here and here) on Mueller’s and Rosenstein’s conflicts of interest and why he should never have been considered for such a post, I have also stressed that any firing of either official would be an act of utter lunacy in the midst of this investigation.

I believe that Rosenstein made a fundamental blunder in the appointment of Mueller who has close ties with Comey and interviewed with Trump in an attempt to get Comey’s job.  He should never have been on the list of possible special counsels, let alone selected. That mistake has undermined the investigation and added an unnecessary distraction.  However, once Mueller was appointed, the die was cast. Both he and Rosenstein need to be allowed to finish their work.  I believe that the investigation will be a fair one and I have never questioned the integrity of either of these accomplished lawyers.

Sources say that Trump has been making comments like “let’s fire him, let’s get rid of him” to aides.  If true, it would be unfathomable that after all of the missteps  by the Administration, Trump would be contemplating doing the very same act that largely guaranteed the appointment of a special counsel and exponentially increased the damage to his own Administration.  It would show a serious lack of judgment and discipline to openly discuss such a prospect.

Hopefully, (again if true) Trump will be dissuaded from such an self-destructive act.  One would hope that, at some one, the lessons of the Comey controversy will sink in and such reckless strategies will be put aside in favor of patience and cooperation.

  1. Yes, an out of control sadistic sociopathic maniac in a position of unquestioned absolute power squandering millions and millions of dollars on what he knows is a completely fake narrative created by goebbelesque traitorous rogue agencies and politicians, their owners and a corrupt bitter failed loser candidate and her delusional malthuseistic greedy hands out butt kissers designed to usurp/hijack the power of the governed, nullufy/overturn the results of a legitimate election, violate the rights of American Citizens and demonstrate to as well as desensitize people to the fact that all you have to do to get them under control is to continue your march toward dictatorial power as long as no one will stop you.  What Mueller and all of the other out of control power mad control freaks seeking absolute power over the people can do to Trump, they can do to every single American Citizen in this country.
Clearly Mueller should be allowed to continue toward victory and set an example for his and all future totallitarian facist wannabes that threats, intimidation, abuse of power, lying, attacks, false accusations, false charges, corruption, breeching the peoples laughable trust and conviction via the other arm of the goebbelesque propaganda ministry cnn, nyt, wapo etc. without evidence, proof, truth or due process, works.  Mueller needs to be left alone to prove all it takes to get people to give up their Country, Freedom and Rights and allow democrats to continue dismantling word by word their enemy the Constitution, that pesky document that stands between the democrat goal of absolute power over the governed* without consent and having to put up with all that consent of the governed* crap, is a Blitzkrieg campaign of making up law as you go along,  breaking the existing law, and violating Rights until everyone is used to it, it becomes the norm and is actually what is expected.  Then everyone loses their moral compass and resistance and the frame of reference that things should be different becomes just a distant memory.
When that happens the only thing left to do is do decide which boxcars will go where.

    1. Well, Dawn, why won’t Trump declassify the evidence Trump needs to try and convict Mueller et al for conspiracy to commit crimes against The United States?

I’ll give you a hint, if you ask politely.

    2. Haha. But it would be just peachy-keen if the orange fascist did just what you’re dreaming the Special Prosecutor is purportedly doing. Riiiiiiigght.

This is to “I prefer my totalitarian to refer to himself as Republican” dawn

      1. Marky Mark Mark – please cite the actions of the President that make him a fascist.

  2. More breaking news!: Seven unnamed sources have confirmed President Trump is considering shutting down the nuclear football after the Superbowl if the winning team doesn’t accept his invitation to the White House. The seven are not considered to be reliable however as they are being investigated over a young lady being discovered in a coma at their residence. Mueller and his crack team of investigators will be looking for any link to the Russians.

  3. Stupid TOTAL NON-STORY! Thinking about doing something not = to doing something
Shiver to think about some of things Barak Obama & Hillary Clinton & their pals thought about doing! Many of which they did do! Anyone ever wonder about Seth Rich? Vince Foster? About Susan Rice’s lsoulless Ben Gazi lies in exchg for promise to be nom’d for Sec. of Syate…

  4. Any reform of the intelligence agencies or just conclusion to this collusion madness will require Democrats to place the country over their party, just as many Republicans did during the waning days of the Nixon years. This country needs a responsible Left. Here’s to hoping that there are more than a few principled liberals in Congress.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. Mueller was eminently unsuitable for the job. He has close ties to Comey, who stands accused of weaponizing the FBI against conservatives, and protecting the object of a federal investigation.

Over and over again, we have seen coordination among government agencies in power to help Democrats and abuse the law to go after conservatives.

But…if you remark that any of them should be fired, because they won’t do their job and are possibly engaging in criminal activity themselves, then you could be impeached or create another special counsel?

    What?

Obama was not impeached, and his actions were turned over by SCOTUS as unconstitutional over and over again.

That is what your counsel is supposed to do. Tell you, no, you can’t do that. That is what the separation of powers does. That is why you are not allowed to rule by fiat or executive order.

I am still not clear on why Mueller should not be fired or cannot be fired. He has essentially proven that Hillary did the deed Trump is accused of, but he keeps going after Trump. The FBI has gone rogue. Same with EPA, NSA, IRS…the whole soup should be fired and replaced, but not with those biased right. We need neutral people.

    1. In which court has Comey been accused of anything? Are you completely and utterly out of your mind? You hear nonsense spew from hannity’s pie hole and you imagine it’s credible ? Do all of your types continually fall for the same con?

This is to “I heard it on the tube so it must be true” karen

      1. Marky Mark Mark – the rumor is that Mueller gave his golfing buddy Comey an immunity deal early on. Like the Clinton minions, he got a get out of jail free card.

  6. Trump’s Whitehouse, Southern evangelicals, the GOP, and a number of media outlets have white-washed the Russian threat. Learn more about how Russian infiltration works from a book written by a former CIA analyst, Karen Cleveland, “Need to Know.”
The U.S. donor class wants an oligarchy and a repressive government like Putin’s. Neither the Koch’s nor Gates value democracy.

    1. Or, you could just ask Hillary Clinton how the Russian intelligence community works.

    2. Trump recognizes the threats the Russians have to offer. The Democrats always cozied up to the Russians and all of a sudden they seem to have recognized the threat. All this turmoil and attempts to remove Trump from his legitimate office has only made the Russians more dangerous, but the Democrats don’t seem to care.

      1. Cite a source that describes Russia using Facebook, Twitter and blog trolls to get Obama and Hillary elected.

“Many Americans do not seem to understand what is at stake. What America is confronted with is a coup conspiracy organized by top officials of the Obama Justice Department, FBI, CIA, the Hillary DNC, and the presstitute media to overturn the result of a democratic election and remove the president from office. The basis of the coup is a fake dossier purchased for money that consists of unsupported allegations against Trump and that was used to obtain warrants from the FISA count to spy on Trump and various associates hoping to find something that can be used against Trump. Regardless, the false allegations could be fed to the CIA’s media assets and used to create a scandal requiring a special prosecutor to investigate Russiagate. Once the investigation was under way, the presstitutes kept the scandal alive hoping to convince enough Americans that Trump must have done something—“where there is smoke, there is fire”—that justifies his removal. It worked against Richard Nixon, but not against Ronald Reagan, and Trump is no Reagan.

If the highest reaches of the police state agencies can get away with an attempted or successful coup against the president of the United States, then that is the complete end of democracy and all accountability in government. The House, Senate, and judiciary will become as powerless as the Roman senate under the caesars. We will live under a dictatorship ruled by police state agencies.

Many Americans say they don’t need the House Intelligence Report, because they don’t believe the Russiagate BS in the first place. They miss the point. They need the report, because those responsible for this attempt at a coup must be identified, charged, and prosecuted for their act of high treason.

This is not minor stuff. This goes to the heart of whether any form of liberty will exist. We all know that the ability of the people to hold government accountable is not assured by democracy. However, there is no prospect of holding government accountable if it is a police state, a road that the US has been going down for some time. The audacious coup attempt against President Trump is our opportunity to stop the momentum to a police state.”

    1. Your points would be more credible, Autumn, if the hashtag #releasethememo hadn’t experienced an aberrational surge of interest.
The parallel is the foreign tampering in the 2016 election.

      1. No, it is not Russia bots faking interest in months of texts describing an attempted coup and derailment of a federal investigation. Nor is it Russia that fakes interest in a memo outlining the corruption and weaponization of government agencies.

Do you really think that Americans wouldn’t care, and that the only explanation is Russia?

If the information is true, then release it. The world is watching. I am sure that the UK is also very keen to know about this coup. UK’s interest is immaterial to the public’s right to know, and their own interest in the story.

You have got to be kidding that “Russia” is your reasoning to fight releasing information on the weaponization of our government against its citizens.

        1. You cannot “wake up” a Leftist Bot. Leftist Bots are programmed to repeat their Leftist instructions and to ignore all facts and evidence. In fact, the propaganda line “Russian Bot” that was invented by the Leftists is itself programmed into all Leftist Bots to use to attack something they do not like.

      2. You are a brainless twat who simply regurgitates every DNC talking point as if it were Gospel! And you talk about the faith-based Southern Evangelists??? If anybody here has a “faith based” belief system, it is YOU and most of the other Lefties who comment here! You, who can’t even answer simple questions when put to you.

      1. Marky Mark Mark – if you would get out of your basement more (first, it would make your mom happy) you would learn that a lot of people do not trust the FBI and think a Special Prosecutor should be appointed to root them out.

  8. Ever wonder why JT is always giving cover to the deep state operatives left in place by Obama in an attempt to overthrow the elected President?

    1. No. But I often wonder why Trump won’t declassify the evidence Trump needs to defend The POTUS from a slow-as-molasses, deep-state, “soft” coup d’état.

Has Gary ever wondered about that?

  9. If I had a choice between the rule of law, imperfectly applied and susceptible to bad influence and/or corruption [which has been our history] and the rule of the mafia [the Trump administration ], I’d certainly take the former. I wonder if we’ll ever make our way back.

        1. Maybe you should shake the anti-Trump Derangement Syndrome that has overtaken your brain’s ability to pay attn to actual facts vs. partisan talk’g pts., think rationally (assuming you ever possessed that capacity), & and put just minimal effort to think’g critically!

        2. What coma are you talking about? You are making things up and can’t answer a simple question, “exactly what has Trump done to make you believe he has ruled like the mafia?” You are starting to sound like some of the nuts that previously left the blog.

          1. …as opposed to “the nuts” (like Allan) who haven’t yet “left the blog” and post incessantly.

            1. To you? No. There is nothing to pay attention to. You haven’t said anything worthwhile.

    1. Jenny, I think you are confusing Trump with JFK who actually had ties to the mafia. Plus, as I say to every idiot on line: Democrats are the party of sexual assault and misconduct and it started with JFK and his brothers who never met a woman they didn’t want to share.

      1. I’m tired so I’ll just say Hastert, Foley, Craig, Wynn and Trump for starters. And wait until Felix Sater gets his time in court.

        1. Congratulations jennie! You just wrote two words Allan will never acknowledge having read: Felix Sater.

Unfortunately, Allan remains mentally-blocked from ever learning what the name Felix Sater means in relation to your initial comment about Trump’s Russian state-mafia ties.

          1. We all end up connected in one way or another to people who turn out to be undesirable. The Clintons loved Harvey Weinstein. Should they go to jail for that? Of course not. If they bought part of a movie Weinstein was involved with they would be partners even though they may not have known he was involved. Should that be held against them? No. All you are proving is that there is no real evidence against Trump and that evidence has to be data mined to prove a case that should not even exist.

  10. I have great respect for J Turley, but this posting of his makes me wonder about his judgment when it involves politics. I listened to Rosenstein speak at an event recently and everything he said demonstrated a balanced legal mind that is totally contrary to his actions of appointing Mueller. Based on what he said Mueller should never have been appointed because it violates certain protections of the law. Also based on what he said he should recuse himself because his involvement in some of the issues makes him not suitable to be in his position.

Politically I don’t know if it is feasible to fire either one of them, but without a doubt in my mind, neither of them should be in their present positions.

      1. That is true, but it seems that Rosenstein did not follow the “arm’s length” idea he talked about so passionately and was what he said was his basis for upholding the law. “Arm’s length” helps to prevent people from acting illegally and that is something desperately needed in the justice department.

  11. What seems to be missing here is the realization that this is Trump, all ego, no responsibility. He was raised this way. He has spent his entire life more interested on how to make people stand when he enters a room rather than doing business carefully. If you start out with hundreds of millions of dollars and intercept the gentrification of New York, it is hard to miss. Yet Trump missed often.

The pivotal issue here is that Trump instinctively denies responsibility, spins failures into successes, and thinks out loud. During his career Trump was known to think out loud, be impulsive, and demand loyalty regardless of the situation. Like Steinbrenner he had the momentum to afford these idiosyncrasies.

The question now is, what seems to be designed for the private sector, those who rocket to riches or inherit them and make the tabloids, good for the country as a whole. Trump is an oligarch. He represents the top very few percent of Americans. His administration so far is being designed for this top few percent. This is being distracted from by his constant bombast and rubbing himself off. The subjects of importance are not whether Trump tripped over a legality or groped/boinked a porn queen, but what he is doing to drag America back in the direction of the Stone Age. America should be the penultimate leader in alternative energy yet it imports almost all of its stuff from those countries that lead this industry.

Texas utilities are importing hundreds of Chinese wind turbines at 10 mil a pop, financed by Chinese banks, developed by Chinese developers that raise money on the New York Stock Exchange. The only Americans involved in this are the mega rich stock holders and the low paid maintenance jobs. The big paying jobs are in Denmark, Chins, India, Germany, etc. That’s because it’s bad for Government, Labor, and the Private Sector to cooperate for the good of the country. That is the sad state of affairs of America, under the oligarchy.

Regardless of whether it is a Democrat or a Republican sucking at the teat of the oligarchs, America must abolish massive financial control of our leadership posts.

All the rest is the Sunday Funnies.

    1. Regardless of whether it is a Democrat or a Republican sucking at the teat of the oligarchs, America must abolish massive financial control of our leadership posts.

Where o where might we find such a guiding document, that if actually followed, would not necessarily abolish but greatly diminish the oligarchs influence over public policy? Think Administrative state, 22nd amendment, term limits and civics literacy.

      1. “Think” taxing the richest 0.1% until they feel it. “Think” removing money from the political process.

          1. Allan, …
Bill Gates gas given away c. $30 Billion to various charitable causes.
The view of some of is ” that doesn’t count, because the govenment didn’t take that $30 Billion in the form of taxes”.
I don’t know Gates’ tax status, but my guess is that when he periodically sells a large block of Microsoft stock, there’s a substantial capital gains tax that accompanies the sales.
This may have changed, but the last time I checked, the bulk of his net worth was in Microsoft stock.
Gates and Paul Allen, the MSFT co-founder, kept ownership of part of the company when they first issued stock.
Their wealth is tied to the fact that ( what was) a start-up company, Microsoft, dislodged companies like IBM from their decades-long position as “the 800 pound gorilla” in the IT industry.
It’s easier and more convenient to just dismiss them as greedy “”oligarchs”, spoiled by generations of family wealth that was passed done to them.

            1. Tom, Linda’s gripe against Bill Gates is that he didn’t give her any money. Envy rules Linda’s life.

            2. “No Such thing as Free Gift: The Gates Foundation and the Price of Philanthropy” by Linsey McGoey

Gates’ “charity” to education is embodied in his New Schools Venture Fund, “to develop brands on a large scale”.
Gates’ “charity” to education has the goal of privatization. He is an investor in the largest seller of for-profit schools-in-a-box.

              1. Linda,..
When you figure out the rate of return Bill Gates gets on his $30 Billion giveaway, let us know.
E.G., did giving away $30 Billion make Gates richer because he somehow boosted his net worth by giving away $30 Billion?
I know if I make a $100 chartible donation, my net worth declines by $100.

                1. Bill Gates has wealth equivalent to 750,000,000 people. He’s done more harm than good with his venture philanthropy and his concentration of wealth.
The Kremlin wouldn’t have been able to get Trump elected, if it was otherwise.

        1. Well, that is an interesting approach to a civics question. Your response was to punish all of the successful people.

Hmmm. Does higher taxes impact behavior? Will one group of people always vote for more and more taxes on another group, because they don’t feel it?

Who do politicians represent? The poor? The middle class? The rich? They represent all people, and owe responsibility and care to everyone. You cannot buy what is not for sale. Punish politicians severely for selling their favors, and reform campaign finance.

Don’t let the Bill Clintons of the world get massive speaking fees and collect donations while his wife is in public office. Don’t put him in the UN to funnel Haiti aid to his big donor friends, so they can build moldy leaky trailers they claim are hurricane safe.

        2. So how high would those taxes be? As for removing money from the political process, do you trust the government to make sure the Green Party campaigns are equitably funded compared with the DNC’s candidates?

    2. what is an unnamed source? I always thought you had the right to face your accuser .it seems to me that anyone can accuse anyone if they want to and the free press can print it with an unnamed source.

      1. Gosh, in the hilarious Sean Hannity video the other night [when he said his sources didn’t support the NYT story, until later in the show when he admitted they did confirm it, and then he switched to a car chase], he referred to his “sources.” He didn’t name them. Nor would he. So not sure why you’re getting your shorts all tied up in a knot for NYT doing exactly what Fox does. All reporters have sources and most of them don’t name them.

        1. Sources need to be named when one is attacking an individual. You wouldn’t know that unless suddenly you cared about the truth.

          1. HAHA. Maybe you could start with the Fox News evening crew when you have a sudden concern for attacking people without sourcing.

            1. No need to. If you are talking about Tucker, Hannity or Ingraham, the evening group, they are opinion, not news. Do you know the difference? Apparently not.

            1. Marky Mark Mark – anonymous sources are saying you take little girls to your basement to molest them. Now, do you think sources should be identified?

            2. “Says who?” [re: Sources need to be named when one is attacking an individual. ]

Our Judeo Christian culture included the rest of western culture. That is your problem. you have facile responses that represent a very small intellect.

    3. Yeah, all just stupid luck, huh? (Lucky for all the people he’s employed, too!) Some of us have learned to aacct that which we cannot change, like his compulsion to Tweet, & some boorish pers’l behavior, & be satisfied w/ the efficacy of the people he has chosen to work for us & design & implement policies that have thus far made most Americans far better off than they were just 1 miserable yr. ago despite anorganized Resistance and misonformation campaign led by the opposition party and MSM which they foolishly regard as accomplishing more for their constituents & viewers than actually doing what they receive paychks. for & negotiating & compromising to write law benefiting the American people.
Me: so far so good with results from foreign policy & domestic. Here’s hoping Dems remain as arrogant as they are foolish & continue on their fool’s errand as we approach this yr’s midterm elections. And here’s to all those who are thinking rationally as they cash their bonus chks, find morein their pkts. after payroll tax deductions, ditto on April 15th.
We’re learning a lesson: stop listening to all the pols’ promises, lies, and desperate machinations & use brains God has given us to evaluate facts & think c ritically. Not all that complicated really.

I figured it out, JT uses Dragon® NaturallySpeaking to whip out these articles quickly, and does no editing after the raw text is created.

    “The Die was Cast
Was likely what he said, and the speech to text program snafued it.

    1. Or, the Russians have hacked JT’s blog and the Russian to English translator doesn’t do so “ok” (хорошо).;) Your explanation however makes more sense.

    2. Gary T, somebody fixed after your post and before mine. Does that count as cheating? Cheating is so unethical.

  13. Breaking News! No less than six sources have reported that President Trump raised the possibility of doubling his intake of ice cream to four scoops. Fortunately his personal physician explained to him this would not be a wise decision for his long-term health.

  14. What led to the special counsel was the release of classified documents by Mueller’s buddy Comey.

    1. And he did the right thing. The president tried to intimidate him into dropping an investigation into Michael Flynn. That was clearly an attempt to interfere with the justice system. And Comey was smart enough to know that this needed to be documented.

It’s funny that the trumpets hate Comey when he actually helped Trump get elected. He did NOT reveal that there was an investigation into team Trump before the election. But he DID reveal that they were re-opening the email investigation into Clinton just a few days before the election even though it turned out there wasn’t anything new there.

Comey’s Oct decision got your Dear Leader elected.

      1. You presume that the “justice system” is actually a “justice” system. That is like presuming that the New York Times, CNN, and the rest of the main stream media is a “free” press. But they aren’t a “free” press, as is evident from the events of the last two years. The Main Stream Press is mostly just the propaganda arm of the Liberal and Democratic Left in the country.

That same mistake is made with respect to the so-called “justice system” Would a true “justice system” pronounce Hillary innocent before an investigation??? Would a true “justice system”protect FBI agents who leak to the press, or work on behalf of one political party over another???

I submit that it would not, and that there is something seriously screwed up with our “justice system” at present, such that so-called “obstruction” of justice might sometimes be better characterized as “obstruction” of mis-justice.

When the rules aren’t being followed, then the “rules” no longer apply.

          1. That what the Left reflexively says. I don’t agree with that assessment. It would be kind of like saying during World War II that the BBC was propaganda, the same as the stations run by Goebbels. Yeah, maybe to some extent, but when one side is pretty much right and the other side is pretty much wrong, then maybe it it is more nuanced than that.

I think that people like you believe that, but how come the Main Stream Press isn’t going ballistic over the FBI texts, or the FBI agents expressing fear of crossing Hillary, and other stories like that? You see, FOXNews may be a right leaning news organization, but why are they the ones covering the sort of stuff that makes Watergate look like bean bag, while CNN is busy being hysterical about a ridiculous Russian collusion story?

        1. Jenny seems to be a ‘venter’. She wants to vent all her complaints whether real or fictional and forget about all the abuses she doesn’t wish to remember. If she is asked for the facts that lead to her opinions or to opine on facts she doesn’t like she leaves the room.

          1. Have to admit I’ve been venting, too, after reading some of the inane non-sensical writings of those posyers who refuse to think rationally (or have the inability to), and find politicians’ refusal to work entertaining.

          2. That’s like most of the Lefties here, so that is no surprise. Maybe that is why all this blog gets are the dregs of the Left. Either that, or there is nothing but dregs on the Left anymore. For example, Linda started in on a mass incarceration argument last night, sooo I presented a little chart that showed less than 5% of black men are incarcerated, and asked how did that result in a 77% black illegitimate birth rate? Of course, there was no response. What the Leftist types do is use a “phrase” as an argument.

So that the term “mass incarceration” itself becomes the response to an argument. Not any explanation of what is going on, just the very phrase itself. Similarly you hear phrases like “White Nationalism” thrown out by the pro-illegal Democratic voter crowd, but never an explanation of what “White Nationalism” is, or why it is bad. For example, is “Brown Nationalism” bad? Because Mexico has borders, and Mexico is not seeking to change its demographic makeup.

The result of the use of catch phrases to supplant argumentation is that most of the Left is currently unable to do anything but call names, and quite often the names don’t even make sense.

            Squeeky Fromm
            Girl Reporter

            1. Linda is a continuous blast of soundbites. She can’t respond in depth because there is no depth. One can see that when she puts two soundbites together that make no sense at all. She even provides books and their authors that she has never read, nor does she understand.

I haven’t heard much that one can consider intelligent from the political left on this list for some time. I think their message is quickly dying as more and more data is proving that whatever criminal or unethical activity exists came from their side. I think their arguments are dead.

              1. I called her a “brainless twat” above, and I hate to call people names like that, but she has earned it. What I wonder is, how old is she, and is there any chance that she will ever wake up and realize that simply spewing out various loaded phrases is not the same as presenting an argument for something. I can just imagine her defending a black criminal client, who shot another black person, and saying to the jury things like “mass incarceration” and “institutional racism” and “white privilege” while the prosecutor is busily pointing out the poor dead black victim, and the lack of remorse by the defendant.

Her brain is just in “disconnect” mode all the time, but she has plenty of company.

            2. That’s a good post Squeeky. The labeling is really an intellectually lazy effort to defend an indefensible position. You can see how effective it can be however. The response to these labels typically includes a statement demonstrating one’s bona fides as a preamble to a counterpoint. The counterpoint will have absolutely no impact on the accuser as they have already established the offensive position. Why respond to the baseless accusation in the first place? Instead, stay on point, respond to factual arguments and ignore everything else.

            1. That is obvious. Your comment was dumb and you had nothing to back it up with. That is a problem stupid people have. They make claims that they can’t or won’t prove. Are you one of those stupid people?

              1. jennie said, “Comey’s Oct decision got your Dear Leader elected.”

That is not a dumb comment. However, Allan’s demand that jennie should prove her statement is sufficiently obtuse as to qualify Allan as a stupid person.

BTW, jennie, Rudy Guiliani and the New York office of the FBI may have forced Comey’s hand on the question of Huma Abedin’s laptop emails.

                1. It is a dumb statement because of all the things Comey did that protected Clinton along with the fact he likely felt he was a bit dirty and wanted to cover his as$.

                2. You are aware it didn’t have to be Hillary Clinton that ran for President in 2016 on the ticket…except Hillary’s collusion ensured that was the outcome. One wonders, if Obama were truly the wonderkid they all said he was, why was the DNC dead broke in 2015?

        2. And the DNC was not a political party acting in interests of its constituency but was owned by Hillary Clinton after Debbie W-S ran it intored & it operated on Clinton raised $ doing what Clinton & Company wanted & ordered. And now all their pols ate flailing & kicking ad hard as they can to save themselves, marching to orders dictated by great minds like Chuck Schumer &Nancy Pelosi (who looked pretty damn haggard yesterday as she uttered her latest assessments of crumbs of bonuses, wage hikes, tax savings, and repatriation of vast amts. of co.$ to reinvest in our economy and an to Amnesty deal applying virtually no white immigrants designed to “make America white again!”
Donald Trump – better not to listen & eval. action. Chuck & Nancy et al. — not much of choice since only words & only Resistance to action! Which helps you & yours?

          1. True. The Democratic Party has simply become an entity whose only interest is getting its politicians and leaders reelected, and therefore will do or say anything which promotes that, and to hell with the country. That is not a new thing at all. My goodness, does anybody think the Old Communist Party in the USSR had any interest other than its own perpetuation? Or the commie party in North Korea? Or the socialists in Venezuela?

Has anybody ever heard a political party come out and say, “Gee, we think maybe we have really screwed the country up, and that our ideas suck, sooo we are going to resign and let the other guys fix the mess we made!” No, and nobody ever will. The usual tack is to claim that the party needs more power to fix things, and pretty soon that leads in some countries to imprisoning or killing the political opposition, while things continue to not improve.

Where the Republican Party is different, is that it usually promotes less government, and less power for government.

          1. Marky Mark Mark – well, you are certainly light on facts, so, at least in your case, you don’t need no stinking facts.

      2. No, Jennie – Comey had nothing to do with the election results.

Trump won because no sane person would vote for HRC. Minds were made up before Comey. – so it wasn’t just the Trumpers – it was all the others who voted for Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, wrote in Mickey Mouse or stayed home.

That’s on the DNC and they are making the same mistakes. We are not going to vote for a corporate Establishment Dim candidate.

          1. He doesn’t sound like a statistician here. Sounds more like a palm reader. Comey and some others from the FBI did everything they could to keep Hillary’s dirty doings quiet so he didn’t cost her the election rather he gave her a chance to win. The statement Comey made was to cover his as$ because he recognized he was bordering on criminality.

            1. Completely unattached to anything remotely resembling reality. If the post is for some kind of “intro to fiction” class though, good try.

This is to “still chugging away here just making it up as I go” allan

              1. Mark with that small intellect and facile mind can you distinguish between a palm reader and a statistician?
