Witness: Joe Biden Was “The Big Guy” [Updated]

A former business partner to Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski, has made a bombshell statement that not only are the emails on the Biden laptop authentic but the reference to giving a cut to “the big guy” was indeed a reference to former Vice President Joe Biden. More emails are emerging that show Hunter Biden referring to his family as his asset in these dealings.

The emails that have attracted the most attention refer to an actual meeting of Joe  Biden with these foreign figures and one referring to a proposed equity split of “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” Bobulinski confirms that “H” was used for Hunter Biden and that his father was routinely called “the big guy” in these discussions.

Another email Bobulinski being instructed by James Gilliar not to make any mention of the former veep’s involvement: “Don’t mention Joe being involved, it’s only when u [sic] are face to face, I know u [sic] know that but they are paranoid.”

Bobulinski said he was brought on as CEO by Hunter Biden and James Gilliar and stated that he believes Joe Biden was lying in denying any knowledge of these dealings, stating Hunter “frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals.”  He added that “The Biden family aggressively leveraged the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from foreign entities even though some were from communist controlled China.”

His statement reads in part:

I am the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family. I was brought into the company to be the CEO by James Gilliar and Hunter Biden. The reference to “the Big Guy” in the much publicized May 13, 2017 email is in fact a reference to Joe Biden. The other “JB” referenced in that email is Jim Biden, Joe’s brother.

Hunter Biden called his dad ‘the Big Guy’ or ‘my Chairman,’ and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing. I’ve seen Vice President Biden saying he never talked to Hunter about his business. I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true, because it wasn’t just Hunter’s business, they said they were putting the Biden family name and its legacy on the line.

I realized the Chinese were not really focused on a healthy financial ROI. They were looking at this as a political or influence investment. Once I realized that Hunter wanted to use the company as his personal piggy bank by just taking money out of it as soon as it came from the Chinese, I took steps to prevent that from happening.

This is obviously just one side and the documents do not show a direct role or benefit for Joe Biden. However, it would seem that between the FBI statement and this witness statement, there is ample foundation for media scrutiny.  Yet, organizations like NPR has dismissed the story on Thursday as a “distraction.”

In prior columns and in my testimony in the Trump impeachment, I asked if the Ukraine allegations against Trump would be different if the Congress believed that there was influence peddling or pay-to-play schemes by the Biden family. As I wrote in September 2019:

Despite efforts of critics to downplay the underlying allegations, the Biden affair would be relevant to the merits of such a trial. If Trump simply picked up the phone and asked a foreign leader to investigate Elizabeth Warren without any outstanding allegations of corruption, it would be impossible to defend. The problem here is that the Biden contracts do appear to involve corruption, precisely the type that Biden lambasted when he bragged about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor fired.

If one agrees that the windfall contracts secured by Hunter Biden were obvious influence peddling, then Trump pushing for an investigation into that possible crime becomes more defensible. It does not, however, make it right. Trump clearly tripped another wire for possible impeachment, immediately after the special counsel made his final report on prior controversies. Congress is justified in investigating, and the transcript is not the entirety of the evidence that might show the intent or act or corruption. All this is why House Democrats still need to find the quid.

I have written for years that Hunter Biden was clearly influence peddling and he contradicted his father’s denial of any knowledge of his dealings.  The media can continue to hold its breath for weeks to try to avoid the obvious in this story.  That could well guarantee Biden the presidency but it will destroy the media’s credibility for years.

  1. “China’s Elite-Capture Strategy & The Bidens”

“In May 2019 Joe Biden distinguished himself from all of the other candidates for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination by ridiculing the idea that China is a strategic threat to the United States. “China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man,” he told a campaign crowd in Iowa City. Biden had for years adopted a soft approach to China. When President Obama’s secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, was taking a tougher position towards China’s adventurism in Asia, Vice President Biden was urging caution. Biden had formed a warm personal relationship with Xi Jinping when Xi was vice president and president-in-waiting.

In his second term, Obama replaced Clinton as secretary of state with the more accommodating John Kerry. The dynamics help to explain why Obama’s 2012 “pivot to Asia” was a damp squib. The United States stood back while China annexed islands and features in the South China Sea and built military bases on them, something Xi had promised Obama he would not do. Breaking the promise has given China an enormous strategic advantage.”

Expect more of the same, and then some, from Biden.

    1. The judicial branch, with emphasis on the SCOTUS, lied.

Kamala Harris’ parents were both foreign citizens when she was born.

Kamala Harris is a “citizen” and eligible for the Congress and Senate.

Kamala Harris will never be a “natural born citizen.”

Kamala Harris will never be eligible for the office of president.

    2. ‘(1) Trump questioned Obama’s eligibility to be president. He did the same with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who was born in Canada (and later produced evidence of his mother’s U.S. birth). Trump applies the same standard to everyone. (Proof.)

      (2) Trump never said the neo-Nazis were “fine people.” In fact, he said they should be “condemned totally.” Harris knows that she is lying, because Vice President Mike Pence told her the truth to her face at their debate earlier this month. (Proof.)

      (3) Trump did not refer to Mexicans as rapists and criminals. He was referring to people who entered the U.S. illegally, making clear that he was not even talking about all illegal immigrants: “And some, I assume, are good people.” (Proof.)

      (4) Trump never imposed a “Muslim ban.” He restricted travel from terror-prone countries identified under Obama. Most Muslim states were unaffected, and the ban was upheld at the Supreme Court. Non-Muslim countries are on the list. (Proof.)

      (5) Trump did condemn white supremacists at the first debate, as he has done often before. When he said “Stand down and stand by,” he was using the language the moderator asked him to use. Also, the “Proud Boys” are not a racist group. ‘

Biden and Harris are pathological liars. They only get away with it due to corrupt fake news media running a protection racket for the Dems.

      1. Obama wrote that he was an Indonesian citizen on his high school application.

Obama told his high school classmates that he was a foreigner.

Obama had only one parent who was a citizen at the time of his birth while all previous presidents had TWO parents who were citizens.

Obama had a father who was a foreign citizen.

Obama is a “citizen” and eligible for Congress and the Senate only.

Obama will never be a “natural born citizen.”

Obama will never be eligible for the office of president.

Obama was forcibly ensconced by the communist Deep Deep State.

    3. how many people were there? I head she pulled in at least ten people at Asheville NC the other day.

Here’s an idea. Maybe people are sick of hearing about racism all the time and are more interested in bread and butter issues than ideological posturing?

      1. President Trump is fighting for YOU! Here are some of his priorities for a 2nd term:

*Establish Permanent Manned Presence on The Moon
*Send the 1st Manned Mission to Mars
        *Build World’s Greatest Infrastructure System
*Establish National High-Speed Wireless Internet Network

  2. When are you going to publish a retraction about Biden being the “Big Guy”? He wasn’t!. The FBI found that was referring to China. Even Fox News is reporting that now. Have you no shame?

    1. “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”

      – William Casey, CIA Director 1981-1987

  3. ‘The New York Post’s Twitter account has been locked for a week because it has published allegations about the Bidens that haven’t been denied.
Whatever your political persuasion, this is an appalling attack on freedom of speech & freedom of the press.
What is going on Jack Dorsey?’ @piersmorgan

    1. Turns out the “Big Guy” was not Biden but China. The guy is lying and you fell for it. Even Fox News is reporting that the FBI discovered its China not Biden. Have you no shame?

      1. Turns out china is that guy…the “big guy”. It’s pretty obvious china joe is a serial grifter as well as a serial liar. To believe otherwise is to leave reality behind and indulge in propaganda.

    2. What is going on, you ask.

      “The Big Lie”…

      that’s what’s going on.

America is attempting to cope with the rabid propagandists of the megalomaniacal Feminazi White Shirts of the 19th Amendment in their pu[ff]y hats; all part of a vast left-wing conspiracy – the communist Deep Deep State.

“[We gave you] a republic, if you can keep it.”

      – Ben Franklin

Ben Franklin admonished America – he must have been clairvoyant – somehow he knew Americans would become irresolute and spinless; psychologically and emotionally unable to hold on to that which they had acquired, and that their politicians would sell out their country.

Somehow Ben Franklin knew that Americans would be emasculated and would not be able to keep anything, much less their republic.

      BIG LIE

A big lie is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone

“could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.”

  4. Former Hunter Biden business partner moved out of prison cell after providing 26,000 emails to Breitbart: Report
by Anthony Leonardi, October 21, 2020 01:17 PM

The former business partner of Hunter Biden who provided emails detailing his business activities with the son of former Vice President Joe Biden was reportedly transferred out of his prison cell. Bevan Cooney, who is currently serving a prison sentence for fraud, recently gave 26,000 emails to Breitbart News that make “explicit” that Hunter Biden was “trading off the Biden name, the Biden connections, and the Biden access,” according to the outlet’s editor-at-large Peter Schweizer. On Tuesday, Breitbart reported that Cooney was moved out of his cell in Oregon out of concern for his safety. Journalist Matthew Tyrmand said Cooney was transferred out of his cell around 11 a.m. on Tuesday and communicated with members of his family multiple times, which was “much more than usual.” “Bevan could sense that things had changed with the rise in visibility of his story,” Tyrmand said. Cooney’s family reportedly told Tyrmand that they were “extremely concerned given the nervousness gleaned from Bevan’s reaction” on Tuesday and “would appreciate a sign from the powers that be that Bevan is in protective custody.” The Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on any specifics to the Washington Examiner. “For safety and security reasons, we do not discuss specific inmates’ conditions of confinement,” said Bureau of Prisons spokesman Justin Long. Schweizer said the emails Cooney provided to Breitbart were not a part of the materials reported last week by the New York Post, which allegedly implicate Joe Biden in his son’s business dealings in China and Ukraine. Joe Biden has called the reports a “smear campaign,” but neither he nor his son has disputed the authenticity of the emails obtained from a laptop and hard drive that purportedly belongs to Hunter Biden. Cooney is serving more than a two-year sentence for “defrauding a Native American tribal entity and various investment advisory clients of tens of millions of dollars in connection with the issuance of bonds by the tribal entity and the subsequent sale of those bonds through fraudulent and deceptive means,” according to the Justice Department. He was convicted alongside Devon Archer and John Galanis, other former partners of Hunter Biden, in the fraud scheme. Archer’s conviction was overturned in 2018, but the U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the conviction earlier this month. In 2019, the New York Post reported that Cooney was among several associates who allegedly “established bank and financial accounts with Morgan Stanley … for Burisma Holdings Limited … for the money laundering scheme.” Hunter Biden served on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, from 2014 to 2019. On Tuesday, a federal law enforcement officer confirmed to the Washington Examiner that the Justice Department and FBI do not believe the Hunter Biden laptop was connected to a Russia disinformation campaign, siding with Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe and countering claims from Democrats and former intelligence officials that the information can’t be trusted.

    1. JF: “. . .Bobulinski was ordered to pay . . .”

If you want to engage in ad hominem by smearing the messenger, at least have the integrity to summarize the facts of that case.

It is a complex liquidation case involving China Branding Group LTD (CBG) — a company that Bobulinski had loaned $650,000 (which is not disputed by either party). The only key dispute is whether, for purposes of the company’s liquidation and its obligation to repay that loan, Bobulinski was a “secured” vs. “unsecured” creditor. He filed suit in the Caymans to be deemed a “secured” creditor. He lost that suit (and thus the $650k he had invested), and was ordered to pay CBG’s legal fees (which is the $659k that you’re waving around like a bloody scarecrow).

Any idiot could tell that it was clearly influence peddling.
The whole point of Trump’s phone call to Zelensky was getting that obvious fact presented to the American public. It required a little help from the CIA whistle blower for Trump to successfully get the story of Biden corruption presented so that everyone knew of it.

It was also obvious a little more than a year ago, when the story of the Biden influence peddling came out , that the evidence to back up up the story would be revealed just before the election. In other words, Trump and his minions already had hunter’s old laptop and again acquiring the evidence is probably thanks to the efforts of Trump’s CIA.

As for this helping Biden get elected – you have to be a really dumb idiot to believe that.
As far as damaging the media’s credibility you also have to be a dim idiot to believe that.
Most of the people who listen to the left arm of the US news media will continue to believe whatever the news they are given tells them. A few people may transfer their allegiance to the right arm of the US news media where they can hear the story of Biden corruption repeated over and over ad nauseam.

The end result of all this theater will be that more people will believe that their favorite news media, the one that they choose to watch, is credible than ever before. The peasants will be driven deeper into the comforting embrace of their echo chambers.

    1. Jinn, the media – major players that is – all saw the Steele Dossier in Sept of 2016 when Fusion GPS and Steele tried to sell it to them – figuratively speaking. The Dossier was not publicly reported on by any of them until after the election. The explanation of course is that these major news outlets have standards for verification and respect for impacting an election based on false allegations. You might want to trim your understanding of whatever conspiracy your are considering at the moment.

“”Fusion and Steele tried to alert U.S. law enforcement and the news media to the material they’d uncovered …” and their office became “something of a public reading room” for journalists seeking information. In September they arranged a private meeting between Steele and reporters from The Washington Post, The New York Times, The New Yorker, ABC News, and other outlets. The results were disappointing, as none published any stories before the election.[56]

Jane Mayer has described how, in “late summer, Fusion set up a series of meetings, at the Tabard Inn, in Washington, between Steele and a handful of national-security reporters. … Despite Steele’s generally cool manner, he seemed distraught about the Russians’ role in the election.” Mayer attended one of the meetings. None of these news organizations ran any stories about the allegations at that time.[21]”

Yes the evidence suggests that left arm of the news media did a lot more than that to help Trump get elected in 2016. Trump is a gold mine for both the right and the left arm of the US news media. If you think that those same news outlets, that now are pretending the Hunter Biden story doesn’t exist, are helping Biden you are even dumber than Turley.

Your claim that “these major news outlets have standards for verification and respect for impacting an election based on false allegations” Is laughable. Both the left and right arm of US news publish stories that are not verified. Right off the top of my head the story about the Taliban collecting bounties on US soldiers comes to mind. That was completely unverified and now the military has debunked the story and yet Biden just last night in the debate referenced the story as if it was real.

Here is a medley of false stories by the left wing press:

        1. Jinn, major news media – most of them – sell their reputation for accuracy along with their newspaper or broadcast and have their own trusted sources – similarly with reputations for veracity – that you may or may not know and that they will – or won’t reveal. They are right far more often then wrong or they wouldn’t stay in business. It’s a free market. Thinking everything is a conspiracy is a weak minded attempt to deal with reality which is often random and contradictory to simple minded explanations. It make sthe believer think he has superior information or mental horse power since he’s in the elite and forbidden know.

          1. So let me get this straight:
Your response to being shown dozens of inaccurate news stories that emanated from the bogus Trump-Putin conspiracy theory is to lecture about how bogus conspiracy theories originate from weak minds??? You decide to tell me that simple minded explanations based on conspiracy theories lead to false conclusions right after i showed you a whole bunch of evidence supporting that theory.

What should be obvious to any rational observer is the news media that caters to morons like yourself doesn’t have to be too concerned with their credibility because their readers/viewers are going to accept pretty much anything they throw out there and when i say morons like yourself I include the morons that are glued to the right wing version of the news.

  6. Can we get that correction column Jonthan?

    Today’s Wall Street Journal:

“An ex-business partner of Hunter Biden, in a news conference organized by the Trump campaign, alleged that former Vice President Joe Biden was part of discussions around his son’s efforts to form an investment venture with a Chinese oil company.

The Biden campaign denied Joe Biden had any involvement in the venture or stood to gain by it.

In a statement to reporters Thursday, Anthony Bobulinski said that in 2017 Hunter Biden consulted his father about a planned venture with Chinese oil company CEFC China Energy Co. to invest in the U.S. and elsewhere. Mr. Bobulinski was also a partner.

The venture—set up in 2017 after Mr. Biden left the vice presidency and before his presidential campaign—never received proposed funds from the Chinese company or completed any deals, according to people familiar with the matter. Corporate records reviewed by The Wall Street Journal show no role for Joe Biden….”

    1. Perhaps super-sleuth Jonathan might want to investigate this still unexplained transaction, since it is documented that the President’s company received $15 million from a Chinese Intelligence connected buyer whilehe was president.

“When a Chinese American businesswoman who sells access to powerful people recently purchased a $15.8 million penthouse in a building owned by President Donald Trump, the deal raised a key question. Was this a straightforward real estate transaction, or was this an effort to win favor with the new administration? The woman, Angela Chen, refused to discuss the purchase with the media. The White House and the Trump Organization would not comment on it. Further investigation by Mother Jones has unearthed a new element to the story: Chen has ties to important members of the Chinese ruling elite and to an organization considered a front group for Chinese military intelligence.

Chen, who also goes by the names Xiao Yan Chen and Chen Yu, purchased the four-bedroom condo in the Trump Park Avenue building in New York City on February 21. As Mother Jones first reported, Chen runs a business consulting firm, Global Alliance Associates, which specializes in linking US businesses seeking deals in China with the country’s top power brokers. “As counselors in consummating the right relationships—quite simply—we provide access,” Chen’s firm boasts on its website. But Chen has another job: She chairs the US arm of a nonprofit called the China Arts Foundation, which was founded in 2006 and has links with Chinese elites and the country’s military intelligence service….’

      1. What does that mean,. “Chen has ties”

        what ties?

” on its website. But Chen has another job: She chairs the US arm of a nonprofit called the China Arts Foundation”

“The China Arts Foundation was created by Deng Rong, the youngest daughter of Deng Xiaoping, the iconic revolutionary figure and Chinese leader. Deng Rong is what’s known in China as a princeling—a term used for the sons and daughters of former high-ranking officials or officers in the Chinese Communist Party who now hold significant sway in business and political circles. Since 1990, Deng has also served as a vice president of the China Association for International Friendly Contacts, which is an affiliate of the intelligence and foreign propaganda division of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).”

OOOO scary., this is like playing “7 degrees of Kevin Bacon”

Trump sold a penthouse to Chen lady
chen is on a nonprofit, which must be legit or the supersleuths at Mother F would have played that up too
but it was started by a big shot, Deng Rong
said Deng lady is also on the board of another nonprofit,
that has ties to the PLA

listen, Joe, that’s really weak. that took 6 degrees to get to the PLA.

I bet I got closer ties to the PLA than that. Prolly the CCP too. Not because I like CCP but because if you know anybody from China who’s been pretty successful in life, hello, they were either part of the CCP or close to someone who was… you know its a one party state right? Well I may be a nobody but there’s a lot of Chinese people in the USA now and I have a friend or two. Heck I have a friend whose Mom was a Soviet CP member too. I guess that one doesn’t matter anymore or maybe you think it does.

You surely could have come up with something weaker than that.

see on the one hand, we’re all supposed to embrace the foreigners and not discriminate and cultural diversity and all that

then when somebody SELLS A PIECE OF REAL ESTATE to a foreigner — in the USA — that’s the premise for slander? really pathetic man. sad

        1. after WWII there was a series of trials that charged thousands of germans with being nazis

now being a nazi was not a crime, we call that an ex post facto law which is prohibited here by the US constitution.
but over there, they weren’t under the US constitution so the US did these political things to root out the former party members

some people thought it was excessive considering that it was basically a one party state from 33-45, so, everybody with experience in public administration, were either nazis or close to them

this made re-establishing a civilian government impractical

General George Patton, who killed a lot of nazis while the war was in motion, said it was excessive

Eisenhower fired him. But, before long, they shut down the denazification trials.

Not only that, but the US had already shipped a lot of high value nazis out of the country and relocated them in the US like rocket scientist Werner Von Braun. Operation Paperclip.

US adopted the Gehlen network of spies that worked for nazi intel

US did a lot of things out of necessity to win the Cold war that emerged against USSR

so it turned out, after a fashion, Patton was right.

Now how does this relate to the story which joe book brings about trump selling a penthouse to a rich Chinese lady?
Trust me, if you sell anything to a rich person from PRC, you are selling to somebody close to the CCP
It’s not illegal or unethical to sell real estate to a foreigner here? Not even close.

Obviously book and the guys at Mother J mag think this will obscure the sting of revelations against Hunter and Joe Biden. here’s why not:

Trump was in the real estate business. Hunter was a young lawyer with no experience in hedge fund management.
In Trump’s case the client was a buyer of land anybody would want. a big so what.
In Hunter’s case, they threw a lot of money to him and his cronies, and they had little likelihood of getting it managed properly
Bobulinski says flat out “the Chinese had no interest on ROI… it was to get close to Joe”
Totally different concept for anybody with the brains to understand and honesty to recognize it

Now Democrat cheerleaders almost always have brains…. so honesty is the problem
