We recently discussed the Georgetown law professor who defended “more aggressive” protests targeting the Supreme Court justices, but Harvard clinical instructor Alejandra Caraballo wants to guarantee that “The 6 justices who overturned Roe should never know peace again.” Accordingly, Caraballo is calling for people to “accost them every time they are in public.” That harassment, according to Caraballo, is the “civic duty” of every American.
The tweet from Caraballo is the latest example of academics seeking to harass these justices because they hold opposing constitutional views. It is also an example of the addiction to rage that has developed in this country. There is a license that comes with rage that is evident in Caraballo’s writings: “Since women don’t have their rights, these justices should never have a peaceful moment in public again.” The tweets even attach photos to assist others in this ignoble enterprise.
These calls have continued despite the alleged attempted murder of Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his home recently.

I think Alejandra Caraballo has clearly shown us what happens when a brainwashed, hive-minded totalitarian, cultish imbecile completely loses the ability to think critically and has permanently flushed their morals and allows their hysterical emotions to take control of their mind. This is the behavior of terrorists trying to use intimidation as an ends justifies the means effort so they can continue to exterminate helpless human beings; this is absurd behavior! I don’t agree with accosting anyone but it is amazing that Republicans and other right wing moralists don’t care when women are accosted verbally and physically outside of clinics or reminded “we know where you live” or followed home or subjected to threatening phone calls but they are really upset that Justice I love beer is inconvenienced at a restaurant. Blow up a clinic. shoot and kill a doctor at his church ..no problem. Make noise outside of the home of a Justice and “what has happened to society”.

Unfortunately education has never meant enlightenment. Education moderated by experience might be a better yardstick of enlightenment. Obviously today’s universities have neglected the time honored act of reflection and self criticism which can be quite useful when life’s realities impinge on one’s perfect world.

And as a lower middle class kid, I attended for almost free. I as a conservative received one of my most favorable recommendations from a decidedly very liberal Professor at UCB. Sadly those days are gone at most universities and I would not give a penny to keep their bloated bureaucracies afloat. Eric Hoffer predicted that the increase of the number of people in colleges would lead to the importation of mass behavior. He has been proved prescient. Hysterical rhetoric, moral posturing, calls for political action, a celebration of feeling over thought, an attack on merit – these are now the staples of academic life. This will not change unless we reduce and restrict college admissions to a small elite. The vast majority of the population should be working in their ’20s, not studying in school.
