Roger Stone Denies Using Vulgar Reference for Casey DeSantis . . . That Still Appears on His Account

Yesterday, we discussed the attack of Trump associate Roger Stone on Casey DeSantis for referring to her children in speeches. The story by Mediaite included screenshots of a posting. Stone was responding to a posting by GOP congressional candidate Mike Crispi criticizing DeSantis for repeatedly referring to her children. Stone reportedly added “SeeUNextTuesday,”using the common slang for the vulgar word. Stone has now denied that he ever used the slur.

The self-described provocateur is a tad vague in saying “that is not what I said.” If the publication made up the quote, this would be a slam dunk defamation case. However, the response still appears on Stone’s X account.

In yesterday’s response, Stone only says: “NOT what I said! Typical @mediate smear.” He then includes this image:

That leaves two possible interpretations. First, is that the entire quote and posting shown in the article is false. That would mean that either the publication created the false statements or he was hacked. He does not suggest that either was the case.

The second possibility is that he is making a literal objection to the headline itself claiming that he called Casey DeSantis a “c**t” when in fact he used the common jargon for the term.

“See You Next Tuesday” or “C U Next Tuesday” is widely used on the Internet to avoid filters or the direct use of profane language. If that is the case, the publication is likely within its rights to call Stone out for using the profane reference. The intent behind the use of the slang is to label someone in this way. If he made the statement, Stone can hardly claim that he was actually hoping to see Casey the following week.

Stone does not deny attacking Casey for discussing her children.

What is distressing is that many have accepted that he made the vulgar attack and defended him for doing so, including a couple on this blog. For most of us, it is unfathomable that such rage rhetoric would be embraced by adults. However, it is a measure of our times. While most of us raise our children to avoid such language and personal attacks, it clearly brings a degree of visceral satisfaction for many.

  1. Typical media demanding that the Republican Party act holier than thou meanwhile the Democratic party has free reign to say anything!….the Democrats lowered the bar for Trump now they’re only reaping what they sow… we’re sick of losing with clean hands all the time …we’re going to get down in the dirt with the Democrats now.
I just don’t buy these crocodile tears from everyone

  2. Ron DeSantis is the only candidate running that has a level head on his shoulders. He’s really the only family man too as far as I can see.

    1. How long have you had severe vision problems? Or is it just caused by you being such a sissyboy – like little Ronnie and his “boot lifts”?

      1. Well, it is a given that the fagmosexuals won’t like any candidate who is straight. But the queers seem particularly defensive when it comes to a family man like DeSantis who has a young family the perverts aren’t allowed to assault.

    1. Common decency and free speech can coexist. Roger Stone has made his life’s work one of skulduggery and low life attacks on his political opponents. Donald Trump does himself no favors by his association with this scumbag.

  3. Derek Chauvin has been definitively exonerated by the medical evidence (and, incidentally, stabbed) and Turley writes about a tweet. Intellectual cowardice married with moral cowardice living in a swamp masquerading as the moral high ground. Enjoy your Waldorf salad.

    1. They don’t like anyone bringing family or kids into the politics, but it’s okay if they do it. Maybe Casey should keep her kids out of it and nothing would be said.

  4. What is distressing is that many have accepted that he made the vulgar attack and defended him for doing so, including a couple on this blog.

You are part of the problem, Professor Turley

The Constitution was never intended as a substitute for the formation of conscience, for creating morality nor a foundation for virtues. The authors of the Constitution presumed the aforementioned existed in the populace so that the document could guide the religious, the moral, the virtuous in governing a nation. John Adams stated: Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

So you got what you created: a people who use the Constitution to their own advantage but lack a conscience when attacking a woman as a c***. Indeed several blog commenters, so called “conservatives” who hide behind that amorphous construct, act just like the Bolsheviks. As they drone on and on about their “conservative” values, which is as solid as quicksand, they parrot moral relativism, post-modernism and are bereft of any intellectual philosophical foundation. Either they never have or outright refuse to study the classical works in philosophy that built Western Civilization: Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, St Augustine, St Thomas Aquinas, John Locke, Thomas Jefferson, the Federalist Papers, et al. Ask them to interact with their fellow man to help remedy local problems, and they go silent. It is easier to kvetch online, as retirees no less, than get ones hands dirty far from a wifi signal

Today is the Catholic Memorial of Christ the King, Professor Turley, a day you may or may not remember from your former Catholic upbringing. The memorial, Christ the King, was created in 1925 by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical, Quas Primas. It was written in response to the rise of secularism vis a vis Marxism toppling the Russian Tsars, the spread of Communism, Nazism and Fascism, all atheistic movements. The encyclical was prescient and today we see the effects of atheism like a cancer that has given rise to grave pathology of the corpse of America.

When people lack a properly formed conscience, anarchy ensues. A properly formed conscience is resplendent with the qualities the Founding Fathers possessed themselves, a religious, moral, virtuous ethos. Even Thomas Jefferson recognized the value of Christianity to a society, given his comment on it providing the best code of morality known to man. John Adams, George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, et al, were abundantly clear: religion is a requisite for a society that desires morality and virtue. The secular state has quashed religion, morality and virtue with the ascent of the people. We now see the results including, as you mentioned, on your blog from commenters. The fabric of the Western Civilization was built following the collapse of the Roman Empire precisely because of rampant immorality, relativism and rejection of intellectual foundations. This brings us to our world today. Your blog is a microcosm of our current culture, both cringeworthy which is why I rarely comment anymore.

Doctrines of Jesus Compared with Others
    – Thomas Jefferson

Notwithstanding these disadvantages, a system of morals is presented to us, which, if filled up in the true style and spirit of the rich fragments he left us, would be the most perfect and sublime that has ever been taught by man. ….

His moral doctrines relating to kindred & friends were more pure & perfect, than those of the most correct of the philosophers, and greatly more so than those of the Jews. and they went far beyond both in inculcating universal philanthropy, not only to kindred and friends, to neighbors and countrymen, but to all mankind, gathering all into one family, under the bonds of love, charity, peace, common wants, and common aids. a development of this head will evince the peculiar superiority of the system of Jesus over all others.
the precepts of Philosophy, & of the Hebrew code, laid hold of actions only. he pushed his scrutinies into the heart of man; erected his tribunal in the region of his thoughts, and purified the waters at the fountain head.
he taught, emphatically, the doctrine of a future state: which was either doubted or disbelieved by the Jews: and wielded it with efficacy, as an important incentive, supplementary to the other motives to moral conduct.

The faithful, moreover, by meditating upon these truths, will gain much strength and courage, enabling them to form their lives after the true Christian ideal. If to Christ our Lord is given all power in heaven and on earth; if all men, purchased by his precious blood, are by a new right subjected to his dominion; if this power embraces all men, it must be clear that not one of our faculties is exempt from his empire. He must reign in our minds, which should assent with perfect submission and firm belief to revealed truths and to the doctrines of Christ. He must reign in our wills, which should obey the laws and precepts of God. He must reign in our hearts, which should spurn natural desires and love God above all things, and cleave to him alone. He must reign in our bodies and in our members, which should serve as instruments for the interior sanctification of our souls, or to use the words of the Apostle Paul, as instruments of justice unto God.[35] If all these truths are presented to the faithful for their consideration, they will prove a powerful incentive to perfection.

    Quas Primas, § 33

    1. I don’t recall any conservatives approving of the use of the C word. What comment in particular are you talking about? Did you eat too much turkey?

    2. Doctrines of Jesus Compared with Others the Apostle Paul
Jesus got 4 “books” in the Bible, much of which are repetitive accounts. Paul got most of the rest of the New Testament.

You know, the persecutor of Christians before his “conversion”, who condoned slavery and the subjugation of women after his conversion…

      1. Don’t give me that bull about women and children. 65 million Children have been slaughtered in the womb in the name of womens rights and women’s liberation in America. It wasn’t Christians that advocated abortion. It was the devils servants and their paganry that got that going. And God wrote all the Bible using men, including Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the 4 Gospels to which you deceptively refer. The apostle Paul is the best friend a woman ever had and you’re attempting to destroy the help he gave women.

      1. I didn’t know Jonathan was a Jew. But hey, if you can have it all like that and Gods favor too, I say go for it.

    3. Thank you Professor TURLEY.
It is certainly refreshing to hear someone upbraid those who have embraced this stuff. As you know, it was never tolerated in the past. It, sadly, has become “important” for people to use it. Remember when a well timed salty expression was used as an “ice breaker”? Now it is used as a substitute for the English language. Any correction to the children who use these words is now met with an exposition on anything. From the Solemnity of Christ the King to the Constitution! I must apologize for those who use these occasions and writings, one blessed, one great, against you. Finding fault with this man, Stone, for using this language is right on time. It is interesting to note that the person who finally found time to respond to the blog this time must have agreed with you. You have testified that morals cannot be legislated, too. Thank you, sir.

  5. Jonathan: I am scratching my head. This is your second column in two days about Roger Stone. Why just focus on Stone’s clear deplorable hate speech when you have practically ignored all of DJT’s hate speech–his personal attacks on judges, their clerks and prosecutors–all his misogyny. Seems that deserves equal treatment.

So why is Stone attacking DeSantis’s family–calling Jill DeSantis the C word? Stone sees DeSantis as the only one that could challenge DJT for the GOP nomination next next. Stone has always been a Trumpist. Incessant and pervasive misogyny has been the hallmark of the Trumpists and Stone these days. So no one should be surprised by Stone’s outburst against DeSantis’s family. Last year Stone said a DeSantis candidacy would be a “stunning act of treachery”. Back in 2020 Stone was convicted on charges of lying to congress, obstruction and witness tampering. He was pardoned by DJT. No wonder he is a TJT supporter and now continues to promote him.

Another head scratcher is why Stone (and Steve Bannon) have not been charged by Jack Smith? They both were deeply involved in promoting the J6 insurrection. Only DJT has been charged by Jack Smith in the case before Judge Chutkan. Most legal experts believe it’s because Smith wanted no distractions if he named others in his indictment. That probably would have caused delays and the trial, now scheduled for early March of next year, could have been delayed beyond the 2024 election. Smith’s indictment listed 6 “co-conspirators”. If DJT is convicted many predict Smith will go after the others. That means Stone is not out of the woods.

Finally, for those on this blog who think you don’t pay attention to the comments I have news for them. You say “What is distressing is that many have accepted that he [Stone] made the vulgar attack and defended him for doing so, including a couple on this blog”. Proof positive you are keeping track of prevalent hate speech on your blog. And it is increasing. Don’t you think that is a real problem?

    1. Why the reference to J6 as an insurrection when no one was so charged? Doing so makes your complaints regarding others, empty.

    2. “Stone sees DeSantis as the only one that could challenge DJT for the GOP nomination next next”

Does he?? Because he is as clueless as you as to who is polling second behind Trump? What a mysogonist you are, Denny.

“So why is Stone attacking DeSantis’s family–calling Jill DeSantis the C word?”

Another glaring example of your ignorance and willingness to comment on that of which you have no knowledge. Her name is Casey, nincompoop. Jill is Joe’s wife. Not to worry, he probably confuses them too.

    3. “Jonathan: I am scratching my head.”

Did you reach into your pajamas to do that, or pull them down first?

  6. “What is distressing is that many have accepted that he made the vulgar attack and defended him for doing so, including a couple on this blog. For most of us, it is unfathomable that such rage rhetoric would be embraced by adults.”

LOL LOL LOL — What’s hilarious is the expression “For most of us,” as if Turley has been appointed spokesman for “most of us,” whoever THAT is supposed to be. Is “most of us” supposed to be Voters? Republicans? Readers of this silly article? Where are the results of this “most of us” poll published?
It’s also amusing that Turley is pretending that he reads his comment section. That’s priceless. One could read any of the last 2000 comment sections at this blog and find ZERO evidence that Turley reads his own comment section, yet THIS is the issue that caused him to pretend that he reads the comment section AND speaks for the commenters. So Turley has graduated from just writing the blog to speaking for the comment section —- I mean more than just paying a few of the “commenters” to support any ridiculous thing he writes.

What’s even funnier is that the Professor is pretending that he follows Roger Stone’s social media postings and that this blog subject wasn’t spoon-fed to him by some minion of Rupert Murdoch or Elon Musk, both of whom are Trump-haters like Turley, and who support Jeb DeSantis, whose quickly-dying campaign is on life support and running out of time in the doomed effort to convince voters that Jeb is presidential material when, in fact, the end of his political career approaches with the end of his term as Governor of Florida — a job which he obtained due ENTIRELY to having Trump’s support.

The bigger story is that Nikki Haley — an even bigger LOSER than Jeb DeSantis — actually overtook Jeb and is now in second place in the running for the republican nomination — not because she’s closing in on Trump but because she’s picking up support from those who are abandoning Jeb DeSantis and those who supported other “candidates” who’ve dropped out. It’s against that real-world dynamic that the order apparently went out for Turley to pretend that he reads his own comment section AND Roger Stone’s social media postings and decided that THIS is the pertinent issue at this legal-blog-turned-political-blog.

The truly amazing thing about this story is that it’s what Turley chose to write about instead of LEGAL stories or any of hundreds of SUBSTANTIVE POLITICAL ISSUES involving people whose opinions matter more than the opinions of Roger Stone, whose name would evoke a response of “Who?” by most people under 60.

When Turley says “”What is distressing is that many have accepted that he made the vulgar attack and defended him for doing so, including a couple on this blog,” what the Professor MEANS is that it’s distressing TO HIM that he was instructed by Rupert Murdoch to focus on THIS nonsense and try to make it a campaign issue on behalf of a lightweight LOSER like Jeb DeSantis, and no reasonable person CARES about this DUMB story.

    1. Turley keeps the rage going just to keep his Trump cult coming back. Turley long ago gave up on teaching about law, if he did teach law, his Trump base would be gone in a heart beat. The one thing anyone can say about Turley, he knows his marks and dupes.

      1. “The one thing anyone can say about Turley, he knows his marks and dupes.”

If that were even remotely true, there’d be far more than a measly 2 dozen comments posted for this article. That ACTUAL statistic shows that Turley is either completely clueless about his own readers OR that he’s just following orders from his employer, Rupert Murdoch, in writing this silly article about Roger Stone, a person who hasn’t been relevant in decades (if ever) and only regained a slight resurgence in relevance due to having been targeted for arrest by the corrupt DOJ/FBI during the Trump administration.

It’s laughable that THIS is what Turley decided to write about TWO DAYS IN A ROW, given the insignificance of Roger Stone and the plethora of other more-relevant topics to choose from.

        1. Because I like watching morons step on the rake, over and over again. And the Trump cult never disappoints.

          1. Funny, because the vast majority here see you as the court jester. I guess you like that too? Or add self awarenes to the list of qualities you lack.

  7. When Brandon called David Axelrod a penis, it was just another day in the Oval. Synecdoche has zip code 12345.

  8. It is sad that we, the common citizen, must reject the views of ALL commentators at this point because there is no longer “comment”, just propaganda spewing from all sides. We are left, as good citizens should be, to pick through absolute facts and sort out the wolves from the sheep – so to speak – and make our own best judgement based on what is observable on the ground rather than what is wafting down from on high from those potentates who would rule us through deception. I know the price of living, I see our open borders, our crime-ridden cities and our failing schools and I can decide on my own which political party/candidate offers the best solution for working, upright citizens. Unfortunately, our decades old failed experiment in socialism (the Great Society legislation), has provided the progressive left with hordes of parasites willing to vote themselves the largesse of this once great nation.

    1. Failed schools? You must be talking about deep red Idaho where they have so under funded schools that some are almost unsafe for kids. Teachers are fleeing the state because if they have the wrong book in class they could be sent to prison. Idaho’s teacher of the year fled the state after receiving death threats because she dared teach the truth about slavery and was compassionate towards LGBTQ+ people. Yep, there is definitely failure in deep red Idaho.

      1. Why limit your angst to Idaho. Blame the nationwide teachers certification protocols from prog/left infested universities (My late husband was a NY State certified teacher who fully understood the coercion and brainwashing he was subject to in order to get that certificate) and also blame the establishment of potentially unconstitutional teachers unions. And let us not forget the prog/left infested school boards.

        1. This godless reprobate public education system is not only unconstitutional, it is in fact legalized child abuse in the classroom.

          1. You sound like a leftist, ‘spending more is better’. Apparently from 2019 (your citation) – 2023 spending less improved education. Per pupil spending is not a good metric to determine quality.

In NYC the Charter Schools are paid 75% of the per capita rate and blow the non-charter schools away.

“You didn’t say anything about the Idaho teacher of the year receiving death threats. I wonder why?”

One data point is an anecdote. Three strikes, You are out!

  9. What’s the big deal, trump says he grabs em by the pu–y. trump has been found liable for rape, stone calls a woman a c–t. So what. Par for the course for the party formally known as republican, now commonly known as the trump fascist racist misogynist party. put trump on the ballot next November, heck, add stone as his running mate. I’m sure he’ll get 40-60 million votes. But he will never win an election again.

    1. Rather an obnoxious oaf who knows what is best for a capitalist nation of free people, than any brain-washed prog/left cum-socialist who would destroy this nation by “fundamental transformation”. You really need to spend some time reading history rather than prog/left propaganda.

      1. Did I get something wrong? Did trump not brag about grabbing women by the pu–y? Was he not found liable in a court of law for sexual assault that the judge said qualifies as rape? We could go on. Did trump not call wounded veterans losers? Does he not mock anyone that he is displeased with? The list is almost endless. So please tell me what I got that was not 100% correct.

          1. So you agree trump is a misogynist fascist racist and those that support him are likewise fascist misogynist racists. Thanks for setting the record straight on exactly who you are.

            1. No, I agree you are ignorant and don’t understand the words context and significance.

While President Trump did not demonstrate he is a fascist, Biden has, along with being a crook.

Trump is not a racist, anti-Semitic, or sexist when dealing professionally which is all I care about. He had more black and female high level employees in his real estate business than most similar developers. We have heard Biden’s words and sympathies.

Bob, your problems is ignorance and no desire to learn. You will remain that way until the end.

            2. Wrong again Bob. Are the women who support Trump mysoginist. Are the black people, like Tim Scott, who support him, racist?

Are you a hair sniffing, showers with daughter, racist, homophobic, closet crook and pedophile because you support Joe Biden?

              Get a grip, nincompoop.

    2. “trump has been found liable for rape,”

Another lie. H was actually found specifically NOT liable for rape. But hey, if you want to get your point across, lying is ok, because its Trump, right?

  10. Who cares? Stone is insignificant, and if he intended to use those words, they are a reflection of him and meaningless. Let’s assume he used those words. Which is worse, the government sending a Swat team to his house and notifying the news media in advance, which affects the freedom of all Americans, or the dumb use of a word?

      1. Thanks, Wendybar. Some on the blog are so stuck on their ideology or self-image that they blow up things to make themselves feel superior, though it is quite the opposite.

  11. I have seen Ted Cruz hold up signs that say “Let’s Go Brandon.” Indeed, while stadiums in red areas have done the same.

We all know what that meant too. They are no better than Stone.

    1. Democrats referred to Trump and Melania using vulgar terms. Sarah Palin was called a c–t by union thugs who the word on signs they held when she was visiting Philadelphia

    1. If you cannot deduce from any study of anthropology and civilization why that is, perhaps you need read some history of progeniture as it applies to an orderly society. it’s mentioned early on in most ancient cultures (the 10 commandments, the code of Hammurabi etc) and is necessary to prohibit unwanted couplings – hence the shade caste upon it.
