Robert De Niro Goes Full Travis Bickle: The Biden Campaign’s Court Presser Turns into a Sad Spectacle

Fox News screenshot

In the movie A Bronx Tale, the character played by Robert De Niro tells his son that “the saddest thing in life is wasted talent.”  Yesterday, the actor appears to have forgotten his own cinematic advice in a bizarre press conference organized by the Biden campaign in front of the Manhattan courthouse during the trial of former President Donald Trump. In a raving, disconnected press conference, De Niro predicted the end of democracy and then the world if Trump is not stopped in New York.

De Niro offered a rambling monologue and exposed the danger of an actor speaking without a script:

It’s a good time to reflect on how Americans fought and died so that we may enjoy the freedoms guaranteed to us by a democratic government, a government that as President Lincoln said of the people by the people for the people shall not perish from the earth.

Under Trump this kind of government will perish from the earth.

I don’t mean to scare you.

No, no, wait, maybe I do mean to scare you.

If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye that we all take for granted.

And elections, forget about it.

That’s over.

That’s done if he gets in, I can tell you right now, he will never leave, he will never leave.

You know that he will never leave.

De Niro has gone full Travis Bickle. However, now 80, it came across as De Niro screaming at the courthouse for Trump to get off his lawn.

The diatribe is consistent with the messaging of Democrats, including President Biden, that “democracy is on the ballot” and that this may be our last election. De Niro was not satisfied with that alarmist message and decided to take it to an apocalyptic level in predicting a global meltdown.

As I have previously written, it is a narrative that ignores our history and our values. To suggest that this may be our last democratic election is to suggest that both branches (and the population at large) would stand idly by as a president assumed tyrannical powers. That did not occur, even when this country was united by wars and national emergencies. With the nation now divided right down the middle, it is even less likely.

That is why the “democracy is on the ballot” claims border on defamation against our Constitution. We have the most successful and stable democratic system in history. The success of that system is not measured by those who would riot or challenge our values. It is measured by how the system responds. Our system works because it was not only written for times of relative unity and calm, it also was written for times like these.

What was particularly weird is that the Biden campaign succeeded in reinforcing the view of this case as lawfare, an effort to stop Trump at any cost.

That message was also reaffirmed by President Biden stating that he will hold a press conference on the verdict.  After the third highest ranking official in the Biden Justice Department joined the prosecution to bring the case, the announcement only magnified the view of a case that is being used for political purposes.

De Niro walked away pursued by hecklers and proceeded to exchange profanities.

The question for the Biden campaign lingered as to what was achieved by the chaotic scene outside of the courthouse. I am a great fan of De Niro’s artistic work, a legacy of great movies that are now an indelible part of our culture. That is precisely why, as I watched from the Fox camera location near his presser, I was more sad than surprised by the spectacle. As another De Niro character said in the movie Stardust, “reputations, you know, a lifetime to build, seconds to destroy.”

  1. It is now idiomatic: “TDS Bob” is as nutty as a squirrel turd. This is proof positive that one should “stay in their lane”.

  2. These people, still suffering from a cult induced state of cult induceed TDS, can become as destructive in their whipped up delusions as the mob who nearly destroyed London during the Gordon riots. If we, as rational citizens, don’t gain control of these tools of chaos we will surely lose our nation. Read Barbaby Rudge by Dickens to get a glimpse of what’s coming next but with far greater coordination of efforts.

  3. “Under Trump this kind of government will perish from the earth.”

Paranoid delusions should be kept private. That he wore a mask to the presser was the first clue that his are public.

    1. This is no different than the same paranoid delusions from the right. There’s always the screaming and bemoaning of the imminent collapse of the country if Biden wins re-election. The right doesn’t shy away from expressing their own paranoia and delusions. It’s par for the course.

      1. George,

Other than trying to give people the freedom to kill innocent unborn human beings of value, what current liberal has passed something that has made it’s citizens more free?

        1. @Jim22,

Well, the freedom do decide what is best for you including your body involves abortion. It’s their choice not yours. Right? You wouldn’t want the government telling you how you should decide what is best for you health, right?

States have the freedom to choose for themselves what is best for their citizens. Dobbs gave them that.

Citizens have always been free to do what they want. Have you noticed that freedom seems to be only a thing for the privileged and those who are deemed “real” Americans? Libertarians believe only ‘real’ citizens should be allowed to vote. Not 18 year olds or anyone who can register. They want a specific kind of citizen that should be the only ones allowed to the privilege, not the right, but the privilege of being able to vote. But I digress.

Access to affordable healthcare has increased by quite a lot. Salary increases are outpacing inflation. That’s a good thing. The cost of living is going down. Violent crimes are down. The market is booming with records set. All those things add to freedoms we have and continue to have.

          1. “Well, the freedom do decide what is best for you including your body involves abortion. It’s their choice not yours. Right? You wouldn’t want the government telling you how you should decide what is best for you health, right?”

You conveniently ignore the fact that there are were two unique bodies involved before an abortion. And yes, I would not want the govt. telling us what is best for our health. Oh, wait, you are for forced govt. healthcare.

Again, I will ask, please point to a liberal who is restoring a right or choice.

            1. @Jim22,

“And yes, I would not want the govt. telling us what is best for our health.”

But you want government telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. A woman still has control of her pregnancy and decides what is best for her. Not you or anyone else. Thus your insistence on forcing the government into THEIR decisions is quite hypocritical. You ARE for forced government healthcare. Pretty ironic.

Aren’t most liberals pro-choice? They want to restore choice for many women and come to think of it even parents who believe in transgender care for their children. Who is taking that choice away? Liberals? No. We both know who wants to take that choice away.

              1. “But you want government telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies.”
The unique human life with value is not her body.

“You ARE for forced government healthcare. Pretty ironic.”
Nope, I didn’t tell these women to get pregnant and telling them they can’t kill a unique human life with value is not govt. healthcare.

“come to think of it even parents who believe in transgender care for their children. ”
There is no such thing a “trans” or “trans gender”. So forcing others to pay for a make believe issue is not more freedom.

Again, point to a liberal or democrat that has added or not taken freedoms away from the citizens or has removed regulations.

              2. “come to think of it even parents who believe in transgender care for their children. ”

Parents have full control of their Children?

I can send my 10-14 year olds out to the packing plant, to work the grave yard sanitation shift?

          2. @George

Wow. Turns out it wasn’t cows, it was George opening their mouth. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

      2. “bemoaning of the imminent collapse of the country if Biden wins “

Let us look at the facts. That is the one thing New George never looks at:

        Before Biden: No War
        With Biden: 2 Wars

Before Biden: Rapidly growing economy. More money in the pockets of the middle class and families
With Biden: A poor economy. The middle class and families are struggling. Homeownership disappearing

Before Biden: Border control of immigration and continuous improvement
With Biden: Border wide open. Terrorists, slavery, prostitution and drugs, likewise wide open

It’s evident that ‘New George’ is unable to respond to these issues with facts and truth. His unwavering support for Biden is a testament to his lack of understanding.

        1. S. Meyer,

          “Before Biden: No War”
Actually I think to a degree, we have MSM to thank for the no war Trump years. They kept reporting he was a madman. Had is finger on the button. Trump was not a politician. Our enemies did not know what to think of him. In the face of uncertainty, they use caution choosing a wait and see what he does strategy.

          “With Biden: 2 Wars”
Our enemies, our friendenemies, and even some allies saw a weak president. No time better to take advantage of the situation.

“Before Biden: Rapidly growing economy. More money in the pockets of the middle class and families”
Correct. Trump’s tax cuts put more money in our pocket. A good friend of ours in a higher tax bracket, no dependents, had to pay more. It worked just as it should.

“With Biden: A poor economy. The middle class and families are struggling. Homeownership disappearing”
Correct again. It costs the average American an additional $12,000 a year to maintain the same standard of living before Biden came into office. The American Rescue Act is what gave us Bidenflation. Larry Summers, the secretary of the Treasury under President Clinton, warned that it could “set off inflationary pressures of a kind we have not seen in a generation.” Since Biden took office, groceries are up 21%. Gasoline prices are up 47%, the cost of shelter 20%, and electricity almost 30%.

“Before Biden: Border control of immigration and continuous improvement”
Correct again. Why is it Bush, Clinton, Obama, and Trump the border was reasonably secure, yet, under Biden there is a illegal immigration crisis and he needs Congress to pass something when all his predecessors did not have that problem?

          1. I always crack up when I hear trumpists try to pull the ‘under trump, no wars; under Biden two wars’ bull crap.

Let’s check into reality, shall we?

America stayed in Afghanistan throughout trump’s term. Special forces were hard at work in Syria (continuing Obama policy) in trump’s term, as well as sf work in Yemen and various spots in Africa.

If you want to make an accurate comparison, you’d find sf policy to be very similar under Biden, but that, though the pull out could’ve been handled smoother (trump left Biden awful choices with trump’s negotiated pull out from Afghanistan), America isn’t involved with American troops. Ditto for American deployments in regard to Ukraine and Gaza.

You magats are just trippin’ and enthralled with your own lies.

            1. “America stayed in Afghanistan throughout trump’s term.”

Trump was gradually successfully leaving Afghanistan in a careful and organized fashion. The enemy did not kill American soldiers for 18 months.

“Special forces were hard at work in Syria ”

Take note of how the left yelled when Trump refused to get involved with the Kurds in Syria. War might have occurred if Trump had followed the leftist call for war. Trump is not responsible for the war in Yemen, though Obama has a significant part. I won’t comment on Africa unless you provide particulars.

Yes, under Biden, there is war in Ukraine and the Middle East. Under Biden-Obama, there was a war in Georgia. Are you too intoxicated to recognize the difference?

“(trump left Biden awful choices with trump’s negotiated pull out from Afghanistan”

That is more BS from a person under the influence.

Get the disinfectant crew in here and clean the place from the boozer.

              1. You’re caught in a lie again and all you can respond with is rightist rhetoric and personal insults aimed at the person I was over 40 years ago. You’re the definition of pitiful.

Try reading just five minutes worth of any on the ground report of how trump’s Afghanistan pullout worked out. Lol…

                I know you won’t.

                1. You may have shed your skin, but you are still that person and continue to prove it on the blog.

          2. “Actually I think to a degree, we have MSM to thank for the no war Trump years. They kept reporting he was a madman.”

Upstate, the influence of media on political leaders like Trump and Putin is intriguing. While some minor leaders might have followed the MSM, the significant leaders formed their own opinions after direct exposure to Trump. The media’s portrayal of Putin as ‘unhinged’ was not what Trump and other major players saw, and the same is what they saw of Trump after a short period of Trump’s Presidency. This dynamic, where both leaders took each other seriously despite the media’s narrative, is fascinating, but I wouldn’t overplay its effects on their relationships.

      3. The difference between them is that the right still clings to the original intent of the constitution while the progs are spurred on by the communist manifesto. It’s your choice which bunch of fanatics you choose to support.

  4. De Niro just put on full display for everyone to see what TDS really looks like.
They rant a rave constantly of the end of democracy. But they never say how. Trump is going to do this! Trump is going to do that! And what about his first term? What exactly did he do? Now, if he sent a mean tweet, the MSM went into full meltdown.
Now, all the snowflake leftists are going into full meltdown.
The rest of us just stand around and look at them like a bug we found in the kitchen.
There is one thing I do wish all those rich leftists would do, if the declare they are going to leave the US if Trump wins, please do! Make all our lives better!

    1. @upstatefarmer,

Don’t you alway rant and rave about the coming collapse of the country or our economy if Biden remains in office? How are you or others on this blog different than DeNiro?

I’ve seen many here lose their minds when Biden and the economy are mentioned.

      1. The difference is I have real economic reporting to back up my assessments.
Case in point, LendingTree conducted a survey finding 78% of American’s now consider fast food to be a luxury due to the high costs of the meals and how cash strapped they are.
Both McDonalds and Burger King are bringing back value meals as consumers are too cash strapped for current prices.
Target is lowing the prices on some 1,500 items as their profits take a hit as customers are not spending money they do not have.
Starbucks is considering closing low performing stores as consumers cut high priced coffee out of their budget, money they do not have.
One upside is Wal-Mart has done well this quarter. The reason, new found customers: The middle class. The middle class is also having to cut back on spending, opting for Wal-Mart where they previously would shop elsewhere. A year or so ago, Dollar Tree noted an uptick on lower class people who would of normally shopped at Wal-Mart. Why? Those lower class people could no longer afford Wal-Mart.
Where is all of this economic hardship coming from?
        Bidenomics and Bidenflation.

        1. @upstatefarmer,

Target lowered prices because they have been reporting profits for a while. The reason why food prices are still high is not because of inflation. It’s because grocery store chains have been squeezing customers while reporting record profits. It’s not Biden’s policies that are driving food prices it’s corporate greed.

The major driver of inflation right now is not the economy. It’s corporations keeping prices high for higher profits than they are normally getting. It’s corporate greed. Target and other stores are lowering prices not because the market is “cooling” but because their prices and profit margins are exposing the greed and price gouging of consumers. That’s why consumers don’t feel the effects of an improving economy, because they are being squeezed by companies keeping prices higher for their own gain not because of the economy. That’s where the economic hardship is coming from, corporate greed. There’s very little competition and little incentive to reduce prices. There are only a few giant companies that control meat packing plants. Groceries, telecommunications, cable, and internet. You haven’t noticed the mega mergers and acquisitions? When was the last time you saw anti-trust lawsuits targeting major monopolies? Monopolies stifle competition and keep prices high.

Blaming Biden for corporate greed is convenient.

          1. No.
Biden blaming corporate greed is a DNC talking point you readily repeat.
Everything I noted above was from corporate reporting to their stockholders.

          2. Corporations have the right to charge whatever they want. We the consumers will do a better job at stabilizing prices in a market than any dumb govt. intervention.

Idiot Biden attacking the oil, coal and natural gas industry started this whole mess by removing cheap energy. The idiot followed it up with huge handouts and bailouts to college kids. Add to that forcing minimum wage to be higher than the skill level required, and you have Bidonomics.

            1. Jim22,
Biden campaigned on a war on the fossil fuel industry. From day one he kept that promise. And we are and will continue to pay the price in higher energy costs and everything related to energy, which is pretty much everything.

              1. Yes, it kills me every time you hear a discussion about the economy/inflation and they don’t start with his attack on cheap energy. Yes, I get putting money into the economy raises prices too, but energy, like you wrote, is everything.

                1. Jim22,
Money makes the world go around.
Energy, namely cheap energy as you point out, powers the world.

            2. @Jim22,

“ We the consumers will do a better job at stabilizing prices in a market than any dumb govt. intervention.”

Consumers can’t stabilize prices when monopolies control all competition. They limit competition so they can maintain higher prices. When the competition is just another store with the same high prices you don’t have a real choice or the power to shop somewhere else.

              That’s the problem.

          3. “It’s not Biden’s policies that are driving food prices it’s corporate greed.”

First, inflation didn’t exist. Then it was transitory. Then Putin’s fault. Then Trump’s fault. Then Americans’ fault (for buying so much stuff). Now it’s “corporate greed.”

Amazing, isn’t it, that corporations became greedy only after the Left’s profligate spending. And they only recently became greedy in the energy, housing, retail, insurance, vacation sectors.

Even more amazing is the Left’s capacity for lying through their teeth.

        2. @Upstate

Yes. I make my own claims based on real conversations with actual people. 👍🏼 Folks working in a troll farm in India or similar obviously lack that.

    2. Isn’t it rich when the Lefties eat each other? They are truly an insane bunch of human debris.

    3. UpsateFarmer said: “There is one thing I do wish all those rich leftists would do, if the declare they are going to leave the US if Trump wins, please do! Make all our lives better!”

You mean like Streisand and Baldwin did once as a couple re Shrub, and once each individually (iifc) re Trump before his first term? The blowhards never went anywhere – Baldwin stuck around long enough to negligently shoot and kill a stagehand in the course of trying to make a low budget Western (which, no doubt, would have sucked anyway). I’m sure there were at least a few others. One common attribute that evidently contributes to a strong screen presence is the ability to completely immerse oneself in a part, completely disregarding reality. I suspect that such disregard may be habit forming. That, along with an acute deficit in critical thinking ability would go a long way toward explaining how the likes of De Niro, Baldwin, Streisand, etc. can get things that should be obvious to anyone with their feet anywhere near the ground so very, very wrong, and continue to insist on their warped perceptions long after those have been foreclosed upon by reality.

  5. DeNiro lost me a long time ago. Maybe he missed the part where Trump did leave after losing in 2020. Or maybe he simply isn’t aware of Biden’s efforts to suppress free speech, manipulate the law, bypass the Congress, and disgrace America and our values by siding with Nazis in Ukraine and genocidal war criminals in Israel.

    1. Gio, Ukraine isn’t the Nazis, Putin is the current Nazi. Israel isn’t the war criminal, hamas is the war criminal. But go on hating Jews as it seems to be your favorite past time.

PS. Yes there are dead bodies in Gaza, just as there were dead bosies in Iraq, Afghanistan, Berlin, Japan and anywhere else that was being led by a warmongering monster like Hitler, Empirical Japan, Sadam’s Hussein or the terrorists in Afghanistan.

Have you ever been critical of Assad in Syria? The mullahs of Iran? Putin? Hezbollah, hamas or any other Muslim terrorist group? Nope, only the “genocidal” Jews.

Con is the right part of your name.

  6. I wonder what his real beef with President Trump is? I’m sort of leaning to the possibility that DeNero’s son might be in the mix (Raphael DeNero) who I believe is connected to Elliman Real Estate? Real Estate, Trump, Real Estate? Of course he could have gone off the farm.

  7. De Niro’s (and Other Dems) message is but a Canary in the Coal Mine.
He telling you what the Dems and Deep State have in store for you in the next 4 years.
The ‘Endless’ War is coming to a pinnacle again and you will loose; your freedoms, your speech, your liberties,
because the War is on and; governmental conscripts, economic hardship, and discipline are coming.

They want you to believe that this is the GOP’s doing, Trumps Fault, the Administration, and Supreme Court.
Truth is … it is; the Uni-Party’s doing, the Shadow State’s doing, and the Wall Street Banking Military complexes doing.

The Governmental Grifters (Congress & K Street, 10%-Bidens, Hillary, Liz, and Nikki, etc. etc.) will be on the sidelines collection a cut of the War spending, while Americans are killed and the Country dissolves into an economic and democratic poverty.

France is going to lead the way into WW.III, as they always do, instigate the incident that triggers the bigger event, then disappear.
They’ll then say, We did Our Job and demand a cut of the Warbucks.

China, Russia, India, Brazil are all saying to the US and the Shadow Faction behind the push: Don’t Do It!
But They no not how to stop – They never have, Forever War.

The Hollywood Machine, The Media Machine, The Political Machine, The Faction’s Machine will stop at nothing and destroy all in its path.
And in the end, Earth will bare the burden (Nature and Mankind), WE will pay the price.

Ukraine Confirms France Will Send Military Trainers To Its Soil
Ukraine’s military says it is ‘welcoming’ French trainers in Ukraine, in new remarks which strongly suggest that for the first time France is deploying its troops to Ukraine soil. This marks the beginning of major ‘boots on the ground’ escalation in a formal, public capacity by a NATO state.

    1. Kremlin Claims ‘NATO Training For Nuclear Strike On Russian Territory’
“… At the same time, and to be expected, France’s Emmanuel Macron has added his voice to the growing chorus of NATO leaders who want to see restrictions lifted on Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons supplied by the West.

Macron said that his government’s position is that “we think we must allow (Ukraine) to neutralize the (Russian) military sites from which the missiles are fired.”

“If we tell (the Ukrainians) you do not have the right to reach the point from which the missiles are fired, we are in fact telling them that we are delivering weapons to you, but you cannot defend yourself,” he had explained late Tuesday while on an official visit to Germany. …”

Kiddo’s: If you ever hear a Frenchman use the word “modalities” in any context – Head for the Hills! the bag of odoriferous excrement is going to hit the fan.

  8. As usual, the Left charges the Right with crimes they themselves have either committed or plan to commit.

    1. That is what commies do. ….every time. It is their genetic “method of operation”.

  9. Yeah but we have stood idly by and watched as a “president” assumed tyrannical powers. It’s just that his name is Biden, not Trump. We have an open border. We have “Biden” going for what, his third, fourth, fifth? round of totally illegal student loan buyouts. This trial itself is a perfect example of a president assuming tyrannical powers and going after his political opponent. Peter Navarro is already sitting in jail for a misdemeanor that has been routinely committed by both sides over the years and Bannon is about to go there as well. Is Professor Turley really that blind to the irony of his own comments? I would like to hear Professor Turley come out and say, just once, that it’s his own party, and presidential candidate, that is the biggest, and only, threat to democracy in this country.

    1. Didn’t Peter Navarro go to jail for ignoring a subpoena? Even the Supreme Court refuses to help him. That’s pretty bad.

This trial is the perfect example of what holding someone accountable looks like. The whining and complaining is just the shock and dismay over the fact that even people like Trump can be subject to the law when they break it. It’s part of that equal treatment under the law. It applies to everyone.

    2. East there, Snowflake. You are about to ‘blow a vessel’. Not that I care though.

  10. It’s interesting. DeNiro was doing what Trump supporters do every day. Whine and complain that the country is on the verge of collapse because…democrats. I have noticed it here and it’s been a staple of conservative social media sites and Trump rallies. All the doom and gloom rhetoric is always present. There’s always talk about stocking up on necessities or hoarding cash for the upcoming financial collapse etc, etc. DeNiro’s rhetoric is no different than Trump supporters who are just as passionate against democrats. Big deal.

We’ve had congressmen and even the speaker of the house bloviating about the “unfairness” and “corrupt” justice that is ongoing inside the Manhattan courtroom where Trump’s guilt or innocence will be determined.

Based on the evidence and the length of closing arguments yesterday it may very well be that Trump may be found guilty today, perhaps tomorrow. Or he may be found innocent which is not likely given the evidence against him and poor defense arguments.

  11. i graduated from high school in 1964. Celebrity endorsements always remind me of my high school civics class. Our teacher eventually ran for public office. He explained a list of common fallacies associated with popular advertisements and endorsements. One of the funniest ads began like this, “Hi, Im not a doctor, but I olay one on TV.” Then this actor would give our medical advice. Anither popular ad, was Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz advertising cigarettes, and of course, both died from cancer. Schools eventually dropped Civics from the curriculum. Richard Dreyfuss is running an initiative to bring it back, which made the woke crowd very angry this week. He went to Boston to lecture the audience on the making of Jaws. Instead of talking about Jaws, he made fun of Streisand and the woke agenda. People booed and walked out because he offended them. They got their moneys worth.

    1. Anonymous said: “Richard Dreyfuss is running an initiative to bring it back, which made the woke crowd very angry this week.”

Good for him! I never read much about his politics, I just assumed he has a typical Hollywood lefty loon. If this doesn’t reflect some recent revelation, it must have made for some interesting interaction with Spielberg during their film collaborations…

  12. In other News: “Tardigrade spokesperson declares phylum will die off if Trump elected president.”

The official spokesman of all tardigrades worldwide worries of extinction if Donald Trump wins the upcoming election. Despite the fact that the phylum survived all five mass extinctions over the millenia, can survive dehydration, radiation exceeding 50 grays, the vaccum of space, eposure to coldness of nearly absolute zero, heat to 300 degrees, and most any environment found on the Earth, another Trump presidency would be cataclysmic.

“We thought we were immune to everthing thrown at us, even Caligula, Tambora, and Milli Vanilli, But after we watched CNN and MSNBC, this Trump guy will make the next gamma ray burst seem like a suntan.”

  13. Oh the irony: DeNiro in a Biden arranged presser, loses his mind claiming that Trump will end democracy, as the Democrats continue one of many attacks on democracy with their lawfare/election interference in the background. Don’t the Dems see how pathetic and desperate they appear?

  14. Hmmm…, maybe someone should tell ‘Turley’ that an orange skid mark actively tried for months to overthrow the last presidential election? Maybe Bobby’s on to something other than just fiddling while watching Rome burn just in order to be part of a next, fully insane trump administration?

Awww…, sorry Turls, that hit too close?

    1. My high school debate coach told me that if you have to resort to insulting the person (which you constantly do) you are debating, your position will not be taken seriously.
In addition, when debating someone like you, provide examples to them:
      ‘Turley’
      Turls
When providing respect to the person you are criticizing, your comments will have more effect.

      1. EconIsEasy,
        Well said.
I see it as a window into their mentality.
That is another upside to the good professor’s blog. This is where I get the most insight into the leftist mindset. This is where I have discovered that TDS is a real thing.

        1. TDS is the regularly deranged outlook of trumpists. You guys should realize you’re the ones afflicted with it.

      2. By holding Turley to factual reality I am providing respect. When he consistently lies to you through omission…, that’s disrespect.

      3. I’ve made it a project to engage with trumpist ideology as expressed by Turley on this blog with trumpist rhetorical practice…, and it enrages trumpists when I do. They can’t take what their leader does daily when it’s directed at them. Not only that, the method your debate coach taught you was squashed by trump’s tabloid driven flooding the zone norm squashing….

Let’s get it straight…, you don’t respect me and I don’t respect you.

    2. You spent way too much time during the faux ‘pandemic’ maskurbating in mommy’s dark, damp basement, with CNN flickering in the background, spewing their Leftist propaganda. Despite the brainless “Horseface AOC” claiming it “cannot be done”, pull yourself up by the bootstraps and get a life.

  15. It’s amazing that people take Robert De Niro’s anti-Trump performances as genuine. I suppose that Robert De Niro is a far better actor than most people give him credit for.

Sure, De Niro has specialized in playing gangsters, both in serious and comedic roles. But people forget that he is also excellent when portraying crazed maniacs.

De Niro is just pretending to be a crazed far submental Leftist suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. And he’s reading a prepared script, as he has yet memorized his lines. Bob is getting ready for his new Netflix series that is scheduled be digitically recorded starting shortly after Trump is elected President again.

In his new series, Bob will be portraying a crazed far submental Leftist suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, who tries to find his sanity again after being in and out of mental hospitals. Pals Joe Pesci and Marty Scorsese will be making cameos in Bobby’s new series.

  16. Only a fool would believe than an actor has something to teach us about democracy. All DeNiro has ever done is recite lines written by someone smarter. When he speaks in his own voice, as he did yesterday, we can all see a man of limited intellect.

    1. I beg to differ. He had his script in his hand and constantly referred to it to see what he was supposed to say. Just look at the video. This guy can’t even remember his lines.

      1. wiseoldlawyer said: ” This guy can’t even remember his lines.”

        Remind you of anyone else?

  17. The more I see and hear these Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) suffers, the more it is apparent shutting down the State Mental Institutions in the 1980’s was one of the biggest mistakes this country made.

    1. Yes and no. The TDS sufferers are mostly batsh!t crazy, but so is the average person who still votes for Democrats. Being a Democrat has been a “religion” for some of these people for decades, maybe since the early 1980’s. Earlier for some of the more rabid Democrats. BUT, they are capable of feeding themselves and working jobs (see caveat below) and driving cars. And they will not change their minds, even as the cities and states they run fall to ruin. As long as they have money in the bank, a safe neighbourhood, a nice house, etc. – there is no impetus for them to change. They will even support child sexual mutilation if the Party tells them to. They are Good Little Nazis, after all!

caveat – being able to go to work, and having a job does not mean they do their jobs well. See for example, Bob Iger of Disney, or various college presidents.

  18. An insult to our constitution and Representative Republic. Always be on guard – but to think that our constitution, government, existence as a nation is so fragile, so precarious, that any single politician can destroy it, is preposterous.

That the Biden campaign organized this spectacle is an indictment of them. It reveals what this case is truly about, and who would discard with the foundations, and principles of our nation if they could get away with it and doing so could keep them in power. Notice who has already been found guilty of violating our first amendment in federal courts.

    1. Clay Goldstein said: “to think that our constitution, government, existence as a nation is so fragile, so precarious, that any single politician can destroy it, is preposterous.”

One single politician cannot destroy it entirely on his own, but if we keep veering further and further into left-wing authoritarianism with the likes of Biden and his wokist manipulators and enablers, sooner or later, one single politician, especially one in the Oval Office, could become the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. We may be closer to that point than some would like to believe.

  19. Want to see who the real Dinero is? Go watch the movie Concrete! Probably his most unlikeable character he ever played. Although perfectly suited to his natural demeanor.

  20. Professor Turley writes, “De Niro walked away pursued by hecklers and proceeded to exchange profanities.”

LOL! This spectacle was priceless. “Do I amuse you??” Yes, a little bit, a little bit. 😆
