Turley Speaks at National Constitution Center on Free Speech Today

I have the pleasure of speaking at the National Constitution Center today on free speech and my new book, The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.” I will be speaking around 6 pm on a panel with the great civil libertarian Nadine Strossen, former head of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Also joining us on the panel will be NYU Law Professor Kenji Yoshino, as we discuss Free Speech In and Out of the Courts.

I hope to see some of our Philly blog community at the event!

Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University and the author of “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.”

  1. Still begging for I r a lawyer. I’m screwed. But I win either way. Out right there is no fourth or outright there is no forth. I can’t lose the holding will be there is no forth. People deserve to know that. Or the holding will be – there is no fourth…people deserve to know that. I can’t lose. The only way I lose is they say there is a 4th. Then I win. But I also win when they say there is no 4th. Then I hope all officers oathing stop and ask what? But I need a lawyer turley mine is conflicted and I can’t fie bc I’m not swell enough other rules. Please help me Mr turley. Xo jaelyn

  2. This should be an engaging panel. Free speech in the Court? Does that refer to the highly evolved rules geared to sort out truth from falsehood, such as subpoena, adversarial presentations, evidentiary rules, a neutral Judge as referee, and juries as deciders-of-fact?

Or is this topic about free speech casework arising from the Court of Public Opinion? I hope a video will be posted.
